So, a little back story first. My school has a 3 year Theater program (Theater 1, 2,and 3). I skipped 11th grade but came back to take Theater 3 since it's my senior year. So I've basically known this one Theater teacher for all of High School. He's really wanted me to be in a play, but since I have a busy schedule, I haven't been able too. Theater 3's main project is to put on a play so I thought this would satisfy my teacher since I'd finally be in one, but he is still pressuring me to audition for the main school play. I honestly do want to do the play, but with my schedule and transportation issues (I don't have my license yet), I can't do it at all. He's a pretty sensitive guy and he really likes me, so I'd like to let him know in a way that 1) let's him know I can't do it and 2) says it in a kind, but forceful way. Any suggestions or tips?
