Posted November 28, 201212 yr There is pretty much no situation where saying Zed is correct, besides the alphabet. Pretty much the only case where z is used on its own is in titles, where it is grammatically incorrect to pronounce it zed. *sigh*
November 28, 201212 yr Talking to an online buddy from Canada I once knew, apparently Americans are the weird ones for pronouncing it "zee" when used by itself and in the alphabet. But I guess pronouncing it Dragon Ball Zed would sound weird. (When I saw the title, I thought you were talking about Power Rangers Zedd.)

It's just a mystery what that reason is, if it's not to screw with people's heads.
