Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian~ The ‘Shadows' Case’ ~ [A 1x1 between Neko-chan and CloakedSchemerX]

Posted

-Introduction-
In England after World War I, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, has finished his travels with Dalian and is currently watching her in good health. Hal Kamhout and Flamberge have finished off most of the Phantom Books, but it is still unknown if any still exist. ‘Professor’ and Rasiel have not been seen after the printer-company incident. The girl from the archives still is held within Dalian and the archives are still to access. A new Biblioprincess has been chosen, with a new Key Keeper. After discovery of hundreds of more Phantom Books, what news reporters called ‘The Shadow Case’, has traumatized many villagers and the new, unknown Key Keeper is being called out by the Biblioprincess, The Shadow Case, will have to be taken care of, also the effects of The Shadow Case.

-‘The Shadow Case’-
The Shadow Case takes place of demoniac shadows that come in different forms, some even possessing humans. Effects of the Shadow case include these shadows becoming monsters, burning down towns, causing reverse effects that should not be held in this world. The world is going out of balance because of this case all because of Phantoms Books. That is where the Biblioprincess and Key Keeper come in.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYqg97kSGuA Lyrics:

Miku:

Still...You are...All alone..

The sky is so blue
If only you knew it
If only you knew it...ahh

Meiko:

Where am I?
Even though the sky is blue
What I see is burned sand and rock face

The winds howl
Even though the horizon is far away
I was moved

Dried lakes
Burning fields
Someday they all will get back on the track
So, now I go forward

Even to the far future
There is a way to link
So, do not turn around
We can go through it

Len:

For everybody
That's what they said but...

In the starless sky
Light is overflowing
Since when
Have we been deserted?

The ladder that reaches to the end of the sky
I can't ascend it
In the cold world, holding hands,
We live today as always
We're not lifeless

(Stars, falling stars)

Someone, please give me courage
To face forward without turning back
The iron giant should shake the earth,
Disturb the atmosphere and follow

Even so I'd rather go with someone laughing
Than living all alone
Kick the earth to get onto the atmosphere
Believing in a fate that I can meet you

"That would be nice...it would get some time off our hands..." Aisling mummered to Joshua, pulling him behind her for protection.

Anthea hopped ahead of Margaret, griping onto Usagi's arm.

"Aisling!! Little boy!! Hello!! We're back!!! Ya better run because....um....never mind!! " Anthea yelled, approaching Aisling and Joshua.

She stepped disturbingly close to Joshua, staring into his eye for a second she laughed.

"You are frightened by my Keykeeper, aren't you? Why aren't you scared of me? Because Aisling is already frightened of me?" She asked with a smirk.

"Get away from him you freak show..." Aisling snapped, stepping between Anthea and Joshua.

Anthea backed up and Aisling moved forward a bit so she wasn't too close to Joshua.

"Pushy Pushy Aisling....why so protective of your little Keykeeper because he is younger and more fragile then you....or is he just younger? You are like glass you'd be so eaisy to hurt. Are you surprised that we survived the bombing two days ago?" Anthea snapped.

(They're going to try and kill us again...aren't they...?) I thought to myself as Anthea called out to Aisling and I from afar. I stood still for the most part, but flinched and almost stumbled backwards once Anthea came along too close to me. (Shut up....) I thought to myself as Anthea kept provoking me. But before I could respond to Anthea, Aisling had already stepped between us. After Aisling stepped a bit forward, I looked ahead and felt my adrenaline pump intensely. "Aisling...!" O yelled, pulling her back before hearing a gunshot that zoomed past Anthea and hit the wall.

Margaret's singing could be heard in the background, but I kept on going and went to a crowd of people. Luckily Margaret was an assassin, not a terrorist. Margaret taunted Anthea to follow them, and Margaret switched her weapons to avoid killing the residents running amok. She used the scythes to hook onto a pipe and jump her up onto the roof of a house, pursuing Aisling and Joshua from above.

"Margaret! You almost killed me! Watch where you aim!" Anthea yelled, chasing after Aisling and Joshua, humming along to Margaret's song.

Aisling was pulled by Joshua, he was almost dragging her through the crowd until she came to the realization what was going on. Everything happened too fast. Aisling then started running along with Joshua, where were they going? For now, they were just going ahead. She realized that she was going mildly faster then Joshua so being the unexpected person she was, Aisling let go of Joshua's hand and then scooped him up into her arms, running again. Why was it when they are in bad situations, Aisling decides to carry Joshua? Instinct would be the best guess.

Dodging Margaret's bullets, she almost tripped, but she caught her balance easily.

"Sorry this always ends up happening to us..." She said, still quickly running....well at least as fast she could go.

Margaret scoffed, "Tch, I knew where I was aiming. Just happened to be a little close to you." Margaret said, continuing to sing afterwards. Running along the street, I found an empty clothesline. With my free hand, I used my kunai and chopped a small piece of it, wrapping it through and around the small hole in the design if the kunai's handle. It was only string and not a durable rope, so its only use was to slash something without getting that close. Before I knew where I was going, Aisling let go and picked me up, running a bit faster. "A-Aisling...." I mumbled, not finishing my sentence. Margaret jumped and ran along the roofs singing Philistine. She jumped down and broke her fall by half-spinning on a pipe by hooking her scythe. She dropped to the ground, causing many people to panic and scurry about. (What's Anthea doing after this time?) Margaret thought, keeping her eye on Joshua and Aisling, running towards them still.

"Sorry Usagi!" Anthea sighed, throwing her rabbit forward in Aisling's path.

Right then, Aisling tripped and fell on her face. She quickly let go of Joshua since she fell on top of him. She sat up, pulling Joshua up with her. Without warning, Anthea revealed her axe that was behind her back, picking up her rabbit.

"Are you going to run?" Anthea asked innocently.

"Joshua. I am giving you permission to open the gate whenever you wish. We could fight them though...." Aisling whispered to her Keykeeper.

Anthea scoffed as she heard this. She ran over to Margaret quickly.

"They are going to most likely open the Bibliotheca....either you get the job done or let thm kick our asses..." She snapped.

I quickly reached into my pocket and pulled out the key as fast as I could. "I ask of--" "I'm not giving you time to use the Bibliotheca." Margaret interfered, kicking away the key. I stood up with a different kunai in my right hand, attempting to slice off the scythes again. Instead, Margaret kept clashing the scythes with my kunai, almost slicing off my hand from being so close. In my left hand I held the string and dangled the other kunai. I kept Margaret slightly far from Aisling, and merely dodged Margaret's swipes to the best of my ability.

Aisling quickly grabbed the Key after Margaret threw it to the side. She stood up, wielding her knives, she ran towards the fight, pushing Joshua rather forcefully out of the way. She needed to fight for once. Joshua doesn't need to be killed protecting her.

"What is your reason to attack us all the time...?" she snapped, reflecting Margaret's attacks.

Margaret continued slashing and swiping even after Aisling stepped into the fray. "My reason? All the other Biblioprincesses and Key-Keepers need to be eliminated in order to terminate all Phantom Books. If any less, only the Biblioprincesses, but as of now, Key-Keepers will pay as well." Margaret stated. "Kon to Kuro no Yomihimne. I think the Bibliotheca can do without one of the Library's custodians easily." Margaret said bluntly, twisting Aisling's arm and dropping Aisling's dagger to the floor.I stumbled back a bit, surprised that Aisling had pushed me away from Margaret. I looked back to Anthea, feeling as if she would be the one I have to watch for. Instead, I ran back to Aisling and Margaret, slashing away only one of Margaret's blades, and it didn't even go too far. It was out of her reach at the least. (I have to protect Aisling too....)

"Do you even know how Biblioprincess obtain phantom books Margaret?! They read phantom books! I bet Anthea has no phantom books within her!" Aisling snapped, grabbing onto Joshua's hand.

As she grabbed onto his hand, she slipped the key into it.

"Do you think you two can do the work?!" She yelled.

(Look at Nico Chorus' Servant of Evil, Sodom. I posted it in a topic. Now. I love it)"Which is why she isn't a danger hazard to this world. After the Biblioprincesses and Key-Keepers are gone, I'll see to it that the Phantom Books are terminated. Maybe Anthea can't handle it, but I surely can." Margaret stated boldly as she looked back at Anthea, her doing nothing at the moment. "Anthea, what are yo--" "I ask of thee, art thou mankind?" I read the 'pledge' aloud to Aisling and held the key, inserting it to the keyhole at Aisling's side. I held her more upright to keep her from flinching and wincing back very much.

"Jos---" Aisling attempted to say before the dazed state that every one like her gets in took over her.

"Nay.....I am the world....The Lost World...open the gates to truth..." Aisling seemed to say as the keyhole split open, revealing a book in Joshua's hands. The Phantom Book of Wrath. Aisling fliched slightly as the book was ripped from her body, her sitting on the ground at Joshua's feet after he obtained the book.

"Now. Read Josh." she commanded.

"That is against the rules Aisling!!" Anthea complained.

(Ya...that song is really good. I am writing a story about it for some project we are supposed to be doing.)

The Book of Wrath had many similarities to the Book of Greed, but had a more evil and blood-red essence to it. "Lies, assassination, fraud, heresy, war, murder, genocide, ambush, casualty, treachery. Such is the sum of wickedness of humans. But at the hand of man-- which is of injustice and sin-- the world never ceases to continue in its path of corruption and revenge. Such is a true eternal damnation to those of innocence and wicked alike. Be it black-centered evil, or a brave-hearted hero, all whom stand in the ways of evil are bound to be abolished from the face of the Earth. Let them go-- be it Heaven or Hell-- their land of promise will be no more sorrowful than that of their first life. So, avenge them. Or do not. Whatever the choice, no punishment for revenge is worse than being but a mere victim. Let them know misery." Three bullets appeared in front of me after the last sentence, each barreling towards Margaret. All three of those bullets were the ones she had shot at me-- every feature exactly alike. "What was inflicted shall inflict once more, and forevermore."

(That. Was. The. Best. Made-up. Story. Thing. Ever.)

"M-Margaret!" Anthea stutterered after she was shot.

What does she do...what does she do...

Aisling stood up after the book was read, placing her hand on Joshua's shoulder, she looked at him and smiled.

"Let's burn this." she said, then finding about three matches in her bag.

Aisling lit a match, sitting the book on the ground and out of Joshua's hands, she sat the match in the pages of the Phantom Book, it soon bursting into flames. Aisling watched sadly as the book burned away.

After the book was just ash, she kicked the ashes, making sure a fire wouldn't be caused. Anthea still stood there freaking out. Aisling turned to Joshua with her dim eyes, unexpectedly giving him a tight hug.

"Thank You Josh." she said simply, letting go of him after, picking up her daggers.

"Do you want...to go back to the mansion?" she asked him.

(Th-thanks, I haven't done one in so long....)All three bullets pierced through Margaret in the same places where Joshua had been shot on their last encounter. (The Bibliotheca could help us now...damn it! I hate using the Bibliotheca...no, I don't need it.) Margaret thought to herself as she knelt in pain.I simply hugged Aisling back, after sitting and gazing as the fire demolished the Book of Wrath. Judging by Greed and Wrath already gone, it was safe to assume that there might be The Books of: Lust, Gluttony, Sloth, Envy, and Pride, all of which would be plausible Phantom Books. "Your welcome; and thank-you too." I said quietly, standing up beside Aisling with a slight glance at Anthea and Margaret. "Wherever you want to go. There's still time to go somewhere else if you want to."

  • Author

"Maybe if we went to the concert hall or something...take me somewhere Joshua." Aisling said, looking down the road.

"Phantom Books vary by the situation." she noted to him.

"Margaret...what do I do?" Anthea asked urgently.

"Do you need to open the Golden Library??" she asked quickly.

I smiled a bit to Aisling's request. "Yeah, its this way. We'll go to the Concert Hall." I replied and began walking to the direction of the Concert Hall alongside Aisling. "That makes sense, I did notice they all helped greatly with our situations quite conveniently." I said and looked back again at Anthea, the fallen Usagi, and Margaret. This street was mostly deserted at this point of them pursuing us."No...I don't need the Library. Just...get me to the motorcycle." Margeret commanded as she held her weapons tightly.

  • Author

(I was SOOO close to being caught with my 3ds...)

"Thank you Joshua...thank you..." Aisling smiled, looking at Joshua.

"Well...that is the better thing about these cursed books. They really do help out a lot." she laughed.

Finally, she could be releaved for once.

"Yes mamn'." Anthea said urgently, grabbing up Usagi whose ear was torn off, she put her axe beside Margaret, running off.

It was better if Margaret didn't move too much. So, Anthea pulled the motorcycle up to the other side of Margaret after having to drag it there. She sat her axe in the side car, she then hooked Margarets weapons on the opposite side. Grabbing Margarets hand, she pulled her up and carefully placed her on the drivers seat.

"Back to the apartment?" she asked, sitting in her side car, holding tightly onto the broken Usagi.

(Tsk, tsk Gr-- I mean Sodom)

I smiled to Aisling and held her hand along the way to the Concert Hall. "I don't know...when they're younger...almost everyone wishes some kind of magic can happen in their lives. Now the Phantom Books can do just that, but everyone wanta them gone. I actually kind of like it." I said and found our way at the Concert Hall's entrance. "Well there's a front and a back entrance, do you want to watch the performance or do you want to practice instruments?" I asked Aisling before we decided to walk into the main entrance, which was for performances.

Margaret winced in slight pain, eventually starting the ignition. "...th-thanks...." Margaret hesitated to say, as it was practically a first for her. "Yeah. We're going to the apartment." Margaret said and began driving now, it didn't take too much strength.

(SORRY SCHEMER)

Aisling simply smiled, walking ahead.

'It is rather sad...that Joshua had to go through this. It is rather sad for me too...I am the one who has to withstand the pain of having to have my body ripped apart by a command I cannot stop. Having knowledge pulled out of my body.' she thought negatively.

"I-I don't care Joshua..,you can choose." She said to his next statement.

"Are you going to be okay, Margaret?" Anthea asked.

"Oh, okay...um...." I thought aloud, wondering what to do here as Aisling didn't choose. "Well...we can practice instruments. Something we can both enjoy, I think...." I said quietly, walking ahead to the back entrance. I signalled Aisling to follow and looked back where Margaret and Anthea were. I felt as if I had shot her back there. I kind of did, and felt a bit sorry. (Hopefully she'll end up alright...I was fine from those, after all....) I thought.

"I'm going to be fine. Don't worry, Anthea." Margaret said and drove along the road to the apartment.

"So you used to play the violin? My older brother used to let me watch him practice the same instrument." Aisling said, trying to remember some songs he used to play.

She was silent as Joshua looked to where Margaret and Anthea was.

"Can we make this visit quick Joshua? I want to go home soon..." Aisling plead.

She was a little paranoid at what just happened.

I walked beside Aisling into the room, surprisingly, it was free, unless we happened to break something. The performance cost money as well, so it'd be cheaper and funner practicing instruments. "Uh-huh. I was never very good, but I do remember playing some songs like Moonlight Tango fairly well. I walked over to the small storage room and examined the cases of the instruments. "That's fine Aisling. Are you okay? I know using the Bibliotheca still hurts...." I mumbled, looking at the instrument cases afterwards. Taking one for now, it was clear the instrument was well taken care of, and it appeared to already be in-tune.

  • Author

"Ah...yes...I will be okay. I am just a little shocked and paranoid again..." Aisling stuttered, sitting down in one of the chairs.

She didn't really want to try out an instrument, but she probably would if Joshua convenced her too.

After Anthea forcefully took care of Margarets wounds, Anthea was laying side ways on her bed.

"What do we do now Margaret...?" she asked.

(I'm meeting the person who composed Moonlight Tango and some other songs soon. My orchestra conductor happens to know him quite well...)"If it hurts, there's always the Panacea back home." I suggested to Aisling, walking out the storage room with the violin and a bow. He then searched through the music sheets and eventually found Moonlight Tango. It was a shorter and more elegant piece, never really getting too loud or too soft. It would be much better if there were others playing along, preferrably with cellos, basses, or violas. Before starting to play he glanced at Aisling, "Aren't you going to try an instrument, Aisling? It'll be fun."Margaret lied down on the bed. "After I'm rested, we need to find Phantom Books, Anthea...."

"No, we need to save that for later." Aisling said rather quietly.

"Um...could I also try out the violin Joshua?" she asked curiosly, watching Josh.

She was rather interested in instruments like these.

The violin could make happy, sad and dark music wonderfully.

"I might go to sleep Margaret..." Anthea said rather quiet for once.
