Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian~ The ‘Shadows' Case’ ~ [A 1x1 between Neko-chan and CloakedSchemerX]

Posted

-Introduction-
In England after World War I, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, has finished his travels with Dalian and is currently watching her in good health. Hal Kamhout and Flamberge have finished off most of the Phantom Books, but it is still unknown if any still exist. ‘Professor’ and Rasiel have not been seen after the printer-company incident. The girl from the archives still is held within Dalian and the archives are still to access. A new Biblioprincess has been chosen, with a new Key Keeper. After discovery of hundreds of more Phantom Books, what news reporters called ‘The Shadow Case’, has traumatized many villagers and the new, unknown Key Keeper is being called out by the Biblioprincess, The Shadow Case, will have to be taken care of, also the effects of The Shadow Case.

-‘The Shadow Case’-
The Shadow Case takes place of demoniac shadows that come in different forms, some even possessing humans. Effects of the Shadow case include these shadows becoming monsters, burning down towns, causing reverse effects that should not be held in this world. The world is going out of balance because of this case all because of Phantoms Books. That is where the Biblioprincess and Key Keeper come in.

-Author’s Note-

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYqg97kSGuA Lyrics:

Miku:

Still...You are...All alone..

The sky is so blue
If only you knew it
If only you knew it...ahh

Meiko:

Where am I?
Even though the sky is blue
What I see is burned sand and rock face

The winds howl
Even though the horizon is far away
I was moved

Dried lakes
Burning fields
Someday they all will get back on the track
So, now I go forward

Even to the far future
There is a way to link
So, do not turn around
We can go through it

Len:

For everybody
That's what they said but...

In the starless sky
Light is overflowing
Since when
Have we been deserted?

The ladder that reaches to the end of the sky
I can't ascend it
In the cold world, holding hands,
We live today as always
We're not lifeless

(Stars, falling stars)

Someone, please give me courage
To face forward without turning back
The iron giant should shake the earth,
Disturb the atmosphere and follow

Even so I'd rather go with someone laughing
Than living all alone
Kick the earth to get onto the atmosphere
Believing in a fate that I can meet you

I nodded to Aisling amd set down my violin and bow gently, before getting another violin case from the storage, along with several music sheets. "Of course you can, Aisling. Do you know how to read music?" I asked as I handed her the violin case.

"Fine. I suppose I need to too...." Margaret said quietly as well.

"Some, but my brother didn't read off of sheet music. He made up sad songs after World War one ended." Aisling explained, taking the violin and it's bow out of it's case.

Truthfully, she really didn't want to try out instruments because either she sucked or was a show-off...

"Margaret...are you going to die?" Anthea asked negatively.

Edited by Sodom

"That's cool, I'd like to be able to hear his music someday. I never tried composing anything." I said and read through the sheet music real quick. Afterwards, he attempted to recite Moonlight Tango. He knew exactly how it was supposed to sound, and it wasn't even a hard song, however it was a long shot for a first try in so long.

{The song in his mind}:

The main chorus of the melody was actually fairly well-done, but the rest of it just got crappier as it went along. Eventually I did stop. "Heh, I don't even remember the last time I practiced...." I mumbled.

Margert snapped at Anthea already. "I'm not going to die, you imbecile!" She yelled and banged her fist against the wall.

"You're pretty good Joshua. We will have to rent an instrument someday...maybe even I can buy you a really nice Violin when we are traveling to Poland maybe." Aisling said with a slight smile.

She turned serious and looked at the violin in her lap, hesitateing.

"Joshua...can we please leave before something else happens..." there was a long moment of silence and Aisling put her violin back in the case, standing up she grabbed Joshua's spare hand.

"If we stay out too late, then 'they' might come again." Aisling said, rather frightened about the Natzi's attacking again.

"What if you do?" Anthea asked, hiding under the expensive silk, soft wool, and nice cotton blankets.

(I'm playing KH:CoM. The GBA, back in the good ol' days)"Oh, th-thanks. Hopefully we will, but I'll have to get you something too." I said with a faint smile. I then looked at her, she was right, if we were attacked, this of all places would be rather prone to fires too. "Oh...uh...sure, Aisling. Let's go home now, then." I said and gently put away the violin bow, and storaged the case. I stood up and took Aisling's hand, walking outside of the Cincert Hall and to the mansion."I'm not...! End of discussion." Margaret said bluntly and turned from Anthea.

(Let's try to get a lot of stuff done...maybe three days in the roleplay before I have to leave!)

"I've been thinking about getting locket. Just encase something happens to us, I want to make sure you will be okay, even if you aren't with me." Aisling said the last part a little quietly.

"Sorry if I seem to be in a rush." she stated, opening the gate.

"Sooory Margaret~" Anthea said with a laugh.

I couldn't really help but smile at the thought of that kind of feeling. "It's okay Aisling...." I said and continued following Aisling through the gate. "I think we should. I mean...with everything after us...who knows what could happen. I only feel safe with you...." I muttered and continued following Aisling, taking off one glove and glancing over to the seal on my hand.Margaret ignored Anthea and began resting in an attempt to fall asleep.

Aisling lead Joshua to the kitchen area after they were in the house, finding some buns, she looked to Joshua.

"If we cook these, then maybe they will end up tasting like the bakeries..." She said, smiling a bit.

Maybe they would find more bakeries like the one before on there way to Poland....

I followed Aisling to the kitchen. It was quite noticeable that the sun was already setting, time to sleep soon. I was already dozing off into my own world, staring at the mass star of red and orange slowly come down to the horizon. "Uh... oh, yeah. Hopefully. I guess we have to improvise their secrets on baking." I mumbled and looked away from the window, and to Aisling and the buns. "Maybe we can start a protest to prioritize the rebuilding of the bakery instead of everything else." I said, before sitting down on a chair in the kitchen. "...Just kidding."

"That is a terrible idea anyway..." Aisling stated, heating up the oven. (Ya, they had ovens in WWII)

She sat down beside Joshua in silence, until she looked at the setting sun she said something.

"Margaret terrifies me...I am afraid something worse will happen then what happened to you. Thanks to your fast thinking, we managed to defeat her." She said a little confident.

(I am thinking of making another Biblioprincess....)

(Be sure to tell me when you make a character sheet, and I'll put the Key Keeper. I was also thinking of making another character [neither a key keeper nor a biblioprincess])"Mmhmm, it was just a bad attempt at a joke. I really have no clue on joking around anyway...." I said and rested my arms and head on the table. Sighing, I simply looked to see the buns heating up from the oven. "Yeah she scares me too. And my fast thinking happens less often than I'd like to admit to." I said and took out my kunais, playing with the handle a little. "...I'm actually surprised. But I'm still glad at how it turned out...I do kind of...feel bad for Margaret though...."

"Maybe you taught her not to try to kill us and that we are trying to do something just as she should be..." Aisling said truthfully.

She stared at Joshua for a second, standing up, she got two bottles of water from the refrigerator, setting one beside Joshua and putting the other beside her.

"Are you tierd? You look kind of upset or something..." She said.

"Well, I hope so. But I have a doubt about that. If they say she wants to terminate the Phantom Books as well, then I suppose she wants to go straight to the Books instead of us, at least sometimes." I said and looked into the bottle, seeing the otherside blurred by the water. "Thank-you." I said simplistically. "I guess you could say I'm tired. Just not too much. It's been a long day, and I've been reminded of...so many things today. It was nice." I said with a soft smile, looking out the window and onto the rosemary flowers. Well...the dead rosemary flowers.

"You're welcome Josh." Aisling said with a smile, just then the buns appeared to be baked.

Aisling took them out of the oven, placeing them on two plates without burning her hands, she coated both of them with butter, grabbing both of the plates. Aisling sat one beside Joshua and the other beside her.

She gave a small thanks to God and then took a small bite out of the bread.

"It isn't exactly like the bakery, but it taste good at least." she said almost sadly after swallowing.

(Check my character-sheet Sodom..:3)

I licked my lips once as the buns had a slight sizzle to them when they came out the oven. The butter made them look even more scrumptious too. "....Thank-you too Aisling." I said to her after my own thank towards the Lord. "It doesn't need to taste like the bakery's, I'm sure it's good too." I said afterwards and looked down to the buns. My eyes lit up shortly after taking a bite, it was delicious...! "Even if you don't like cooking, you're great at baking!" I exclaimed.

(I see death in my future Oд¬)

"Ya think so? Well it looks like we can fend for ourselves. You have to be way better then my father." Aisling said with a bright smile.

In a short five minutes, she had devorered the bread, putting her plate up and taking the last sip of her water, she put everything away and sat down by Joshua again.

"We will have to travel by boat and then train. The hard part about our journey is that we might have to pass through Germany..." she said with a sigh.

(*nods*)"Mm-hmm." I said simply as I was still chewing on the bun. After I swallowed and gulped it down, I looked to Aisling. "And...um...I'll take that as a compliment." I mumbled quite unsurely. "Yeah...I don't really want to think about them, but...do you think Margaret and Anthea will follow us there...?" I asked Aisling as I still had several buns to go. I ate significantly slower than Aisling did, actually. I just continued eating anyway."It's a shame that the man known as Albert Einstein left Germany. I could just see Germany putting the world to discord with his inventions. I may have more experience with life and death as opposed to him whom was all over elements, space, time and the like, but it was kindly generous of the Germans to allow me to use the bodies of all these Jewish." Isaac mumbled seemingly to himself as he walked around a bloody lab, filled with test tubes of bodies and homunculi, jars of various body parts such as eyes, stiff mannequin dolls and such. Some places were covered over with puddles of blood seeping from the curtains that covered it all. "It'd be delightful to have another doll of mine...."

(So freaking creepy O_O)

"A part of me is wanting them to fallow us since you taught Margaret a lesson and potentially she could become an advantage....." Aisling said rather seriously, looking at the darkness outside.

"I am going to go to bed. Don't die." she said with a slight sigh, standing up and beginning to walk out.

"You're welcome Josh." she said before leaving.

Aisling made her way to her room, grabbing Crow of the Dog Days and placing it on her nightstand.

She got dressed into a simple cream nightgown, twisting herself up in the sheets like she does everynight, Aisling stared out the window, soon falling into a very quiet sleep.

(Seriously, goodnight.)

(That just means I'm playing his character right, but it's not that creepy yet. Anyway, good night, don't let the bed-bugs inject, nor let Isaac dissect.)

"...Maybe...." I said simply. I noticed Aisling look out the window a bit and so did I, realizing it was dark outside. I began to eat a little faster so I wouldn't be alone downstairs for too long, it always gave me goosebumps, especially in a place as big as this. The kitchen was out in the open of the house, and the table was in the middle, so when I wasd alone down there I felt like someone or something could sneak up behind me no matter what direction I was looking. I shvered a bit and finished my food, bringing it to the sink and washing it. "...Goodnight Aisling...." I said to Aisling quietly. While washing my plate, I looked back a few times just from paranoia and of hearing things that weren't there. After that, I quickly turned off the sink, the lights, grabbed The Darkside of January from the coffee table and silently ran over to my room as if something in a movie but without the screaming or yelling. Something just felt ominous, but I didn't think it was here...maybe just somewhere else. I soon crawled into bed and slept nearer to the wall.

"Yes. Another young doll would be nice. Should it be male or female? Hm... perhaps I could also use a temporary assistant." Isaac pondered as he glanced around through to see two human-sized test tubes with two women, one his age and one a child. "Won't that be nice? You two won't be lonely...!" Right then, an animalistic screech could be heard from another room, following what sounded like an implosion. "Oh. Another failure. I suppose not every chemical can cooperate. No matter, the Germans hsould be bringing extra corpses and carcasses tomorrow."

Aisling was awoken by a crow pitching a fit by her window. Sighing, she got out of her bed, getting ready. She wore a black layered Lace-up dress that was above her knees, wearing black tights and her black boots, with a single rather large white bow tying back some of head.

Aisling walked to the foyer, seeing a single letter at the doorstep.

She grabbed it, sitting down and scanning over it. The letter was from her grandparents, saying that they accept her request however they cannot promise that she will get there safely.

She put the letter down, running over to Joshua's room.

"Joshua, wake up. We'll be going to Poland!" she exclaimed.

Drowsily waking up from Aisling, I stretched my arms up and then just dropped them back down, not getting out of bed yet. "...Huh? Already?" I asked sleepily while rubbing my eyes and sitting upright. I dropped myself back on the bed though, as if nothing had happened. "*yawn* It's too early..." I mumbled and closed my eyes for a split second before jolting back at the sound of a crow. "Agh fine...fine...." I muttered and sat down, picking out my clothes for now. I changed into mainly the opposite color of what I usually wore. Black slacks, a white undershirt, a buttoned and collared black overshirt, formal black shoes, but still with my white gloves and collar. I figured it'd be better to wear black on a packing and departing day, on the off-chance the white clothes would get dirtied. I took all my other clothes to take for the trip. I walked back over to the foyer and took the Darkside of January.

Aisling gave a slight sigh at Joshua, running up to her room to get packed.

In a couple of minuets, she ran down the hall, her bags in her hands.

"I have money. You better have brought some. If you don't, I have enough. Speak to me in the next ten minuets if you don't want to leave." Aisling said, smiling a bit at the sight of the sun reflecting off the key around Joshua's neck.

"You are a little tired still...if you have to, you could sleep on the two hour ship ride." she noted, grabbing Joshua's hand.

Without a word, she grabbed a new book and darted out of the house, locking the door, and the gate behind her.

"This is the Book of the Forthcoming. I found it in that dusty library and never had a chance to read it." she said, beginning to walk down the road.

"Would you like to catch a bus or something instead of walking?" she asked, a bit worried.

"Mm-hmm, I have money, just not a whole lot." I said and made sure I had just about everything I absolutely needed. My clothes and other everday items, the key, the Darkside of January, money, my kunais, and a few random books for when I'm bored. Some were pretty scientific, I had some on biology, alchemy, and even psychology. "I'm fine; we can go, I just can't look out onto the water very much during the ride there." I admitted, being VERY aerophobic and a little prone to motion sicknesses. "And that's a pretty abstract name for a book. I wonder what it's about." I walked to where Aisling was and stood by her while she closed the gate. "I'm fine walking for now...I don't think it's too far, and the buses are always dirty...." I said, rubbing my eye tiringly again.

(Can't find my USB T^T)

"This is another phantom book...when a biblioprincess reads a book, the knowledge is stored inside there library." Aisling explained.

"I hope we'll be okay...the letter said: 'I cannot promise that you will get here safely'." she sighed, walking foward.

There was a period of silence as the two walked, until Aisling spoke.

"I wonder if Margaret will fallow us..." she wondered aloud.

"Well I don't know much about Biblioprincesses...." I mumbled, "Is there anything else I should know? Or maybe about Key-Keepers?" I asked Aisling curiously, but with a small yawn. I continued walking alongside Aisling silently, without much else to say. (We have to pass Germany, don't we?) I thought and sighed. "I don't know...Margaret and Anthea always seem to find us though...."(Sorry short post)
