Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian~ The ‘Shadows' Case’ ~ [A 1x1 between Neko-chan and CloakedSchemerX]

Posted

-Introduction-
In England after World War I, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, has finished his travels with Dalian and is currently watching her in good health. Hal Kamhout and Flamberge have finished off most of the Phantom Books, but it is still unknown if any still exist. ‘Professor’ and Rasiel have not been seen after the printer-company incident. The girl from the archives still is held within Dalian and the archives are still to access. A new Biblioprincess has been chosen, with a new Key Keeper. After discovery of hundreds of more Phantom Books, what news reporters called ‘The Shadow Case’, has traumatized many villagers and the new, unknown Key Keeper is being called out by the Biblioprincess, The Shadow Case, will have to be taken care of, also the effects of The Shadow Case.

-‘The Shadow Case’-
The Shadow Case takes place of demoniac shadows that come in different forms, some even possessing humans. Effects of the Shadow case include these shadows becoming monsters, burning down towns, causing reverse effects that should not be held in this world. The world is going out of balance because of this case all because of Phantoms Books. That is where the Biblioprincess and Key Keeper come in.

-Author’s Note-

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYqg97kSGuA Lyrics:

Miku:

Still...You are...All alone..

The sky is so blue
If only you knew it
If only you knew it...ahh

Meiko:

Where am I?
Even though the sky is blue
What I see is burned sand and rock face

The winds howl
Even though the horizon is far away
I was moved

Dried lakes
Burning fields
Someday they all will get back on the track
So, now I go forward

Even to the far future
There is a way to link
So, do not turn around
We can go through it

Len:

For everybody
That's what they said but...

In the starless sky
Light is overflowing
Since when
Have we been deserted?

The ladder that reaches to the end of the sky
I can't ascend it
In the cold world, holding hands,
We live today as always
We're not lifeless

(Stars, falling stars)

Someone, please give me courage
To face forward without turning back
The iron giant should shake the earth,
Disturb the atmosphere and follow

Even so I'd rather go with someone laughing
Than living all alone
Kick the earth to get onto the atmosphere
Believing in a fate that I can meet you

Aisling didn't respond right away, she glanced at Joshua with her dazed eyes.

"Most...Keykeepers...end up...killed by another." she said rather quietly.

"The same happens with some biblioprincesses...." she said sadly.

(Short post here too...)

"MOST Key-Keepers...?!" I asked frighteningly. "I mean, yeah, I almost died twice from the same person but, still...." I mumbled and had my mind drowned in thoughts of despair. "Most Key-Keepers and some Biblioprincesses? Do they just decide to prioritize killing Key-Keepers...?!" I continued asking Aisling a little frantically. I then shut off into a silent mode for a little bit as we walked ahead.

  • Author

"Everyone wants to kill us ya know..." Aisling said with a slight accent.

"No...people don't prioritize it..." she sighed, the docks were ahead.

Anthea awoke around this time, lazily getting up and laying sideways at the foot of Margaret's bed. She was tierd.

"Reaper...it is morning..." she said tierdly.

I sighed, walking up to the docks. "Do you know what time the boat leaves?" I asked Aisling, looking up to the ships. The smell of salt water and fish filled the air, while seagulls picked off littered food from the ground. "And where are you from, Aisling? Just from here? I was born here in England but it was a little further North." I told Aisling without much conversation to start.Margaret got up quietly after Anthea woke her up and flipped her hair back. "So? You're hungry or something?" Margaret asked as to why Anthea had woken her up.Isaac sat at a restaraunt at Poland's harbor. He sat in a booth with a bowl of soup, a plate of several sausages, and a side of bread. (So a ship from England should come in a few hours, right?) Isaac thought to himself. (Perfect for new subjects to arrive. They'll love the hospitality with my mansion, they all do.) He continued and looked out to the water. (A few hours. I suppose I'll have to enjoy my stay at the harbor until then.)

"No...I just know that my Kon to Kuro and her cute little key are leaving..." Anthea said, rather depressed.

"I think that is it...yup...that is it. L–Let's go Joshua." Aisling stuttered, a bit unsure.

This would be her first time ever leaving someone other then that town. She stepped-up on the dock of the ship with Joshua after paying some money.

She lead him downstairs, to where all the rooms were, opening a room.

"I was originally born in Britain...then my family moved to Ireland when I was five. Then I stayed in France for two years, and then I was sent here." she explained, sitting on one of the beds.

"We'll stay down here, okay?" she said, a bit bluntly.

"Hm? Oh, yes.... Don't tell me you want to go and pursue them, Anthea...." Margaret grumbled.

"Huh? I didn't hear you, Aisling." I said to Aisling at her first statement. As Aisling paid, I looked throughout the outside of the ship. I saw the windows and portholes. I felt a sudden dizziness and wooziness when I looked upwards and just followed Aisling inside. "I've seen people who move a lot, but those are kind of drastic, don't you think?" I asked and continued following Aisling down. "That's fine; as long as we're not up high...." I mumbled. (I feel unnerved....)

"Margaret...me and Aisling used to be best friends, but then we found out the grim secret that we were both Biblioprincesses. I was sent to the streets and she was sent to that mansion. She grew a grudge on me and you made me mean..." Anthea said, then there was a moment of silence.

"Maybe since we kicked their ass and they kicked ours, we can be nicer." she said, a bit scared Margaret would blow her head off.

"Are you going to be okay Joshua?" Aisling asked, a bit worried.

"I am sure we will get there. We will be traveling by foot, maybe horse, maybe automobile, train, and ship...I am now a little worried because you have motion sickness..." Aisling said doubtfully.

Margaret toyed with a bullet that had struck her earlier, holding it up while twisting and turning it as she listened to Anthea. "How did I make you 'mean'? I only straighten you up." Margaret said blankly, flicking the bullet at Anthea's forehead. "Maybe, but its safer to have them dead. The Germans have made Europe bad enough, if they don't get in line with those Phantom Books then they deserve death. Now we need to move on too, otherwise that was just hypocritical." Margaret explained to Anthea seemingly tiringly.

"That's a lot of different movements Aisling. ...I don't like it." I said a little childishly. "I'll be fine, a little throwing up will be the worst that can happen, right?" I asked, understating quite a bit. "I'm still tired though, so if I end up being able to sleep somewhere as uncomfortable as a boat, THEN I'll be mostly fine...."

  • Author

(Anthea is going to get pissed off....well upset and really mad....)

Anthea winced as the bullet hit her head, it just slightly hurt her, it wasn't shot. She grabbed it and threw it straight back at Margaret.

"I was much more nicer then this Margaret! Much more! I would have never killed her like I almost did yesterday!!" she yelled at Margaret.

"I don't want to have her or her keykeeper dead! I never had!! Until YOU just HAD to make sure you hurt them!!" she said, raging with anger.

"I have been playing along this whole time because I know for a fact that you're going to kill me one day! And you know what will happen why you kill me?!" by this point, tears were russing down Anthea's face.

"You will die Margaret!! You won't be here!! There would be no way out!! If you kill Joshua...then Aisling dies too! She will be killed by her OWN bibliotheca if she doesn't die of a wound!!" she yelled, then throwing Usagi at Margaret's face.

"I hope we will both be okay..." Aisling mumbled.

"Ah! Joshua! Do you want to hear the story of me and Anthea?!" Aisling asked happily.

(Gotta be a first for some characters....)

Margaret caught the thrown bullet and dropped it. "Quiet Anthea." She muttered, sounding a bit cold and grabbed her.but instead of blasting her face off, just unusually set her down on the bed. "This isn't just from now. You've been bottling this up inside yourself for a while now, haven't you?" Margaret asked, trying to be a bit more calm and tossing Usagi beside Anthea. "As much as I say it, I'm not killing you Anthea. That's just pressure and annoyance. As for the other two...you want your friend again, don't you? If they don't screw up, I suppose they could be spared. " Margaret said. She had a mildly cold tone as usual, but still spoke meaningfully, still unusual though. "And Anthea, you clearly still don't know how I was straightened up and disciplined." Margaret said a bit more quietly and sat ahead of Anthea. "Also, I don't give a damn about blasting Usagi's head off." Margaret finished with a more emotionless statement from everything else.

"Huh? Oh sure. That was random, but okay." I agreed to Aisling, she did seem eager.

  • Author

"You're not blasting Usagi's head off..." Anthea snapped, holding the stuffed rabbit in her arms.

"I want to fix her...how do I fix her?" she asked, making the agnollagement that her rabbits ear was torn.

She was quiet for a looong time until saying something again.

"I am afraid of you Margaret. I just wanna go to my real home." she snapped.

"When we were young, me and Anthea were best friends. My dad made me stop being by her side because both of us were Biblioprincesses. Soon after, Anthea's parents were killed after of a Shadows' Case attack. Anthea was sent to the streets and recently, Margaret has found her. It is a really close mixture of yours and my story..." Aisling explained.

"It isn't that interesting." she stated.

Margaret scoffed. "Learn to sew." She replied to Anthea. "Afraid of me, are you? Well you should be used to it." Margaret held the three bullets from earlier and let them drop to the counter. "Your home, Anthea? Tell me, how.is it there? Is it lonely?" Margaret scoffed again, she was bored with little to do.

"You seemed pretty eager for something that isn't that interesting though, Aisling~." I said as I lied down. "So if you two were best friends, how come you both seem to hate eachother now?" I said as I continued resting. Better to rest quickly, before the ship leaves and I CAN'T sleep.

  • Author

"You don't need to know anything about my past Margaret. Why do you expect me to do so much? You pressure me. You want me to fail." Anthea snapped, sharply turning to her, clutching onto Usagi's rabbit ear.

Aisling laughed a bit, looking at Joshua.

"I think it is Margaret's doing. Anthea is rather rude now." She explained.

"I don't think you'll be laying down long Joshua." She said seriously as the boat started booting up as if they were about to leave.

"You think I want to see you fail at sewing Usagi? Get realistic, Anthea, some things I do want you to fail at sometimes but sewing isn't one of them." Margaret said bluntly and sat back down on her bed. "If you hate me so much, tell Usagi to protect you, drive you around, buy ypu food, and everything else."

I curled up into a small ball as I lied down. "Don't jinx it Aisling...." I mumbled and stayed near a wall. The boat already began to ignite the engine and start moving. "I don't know; they both seem pretty mean to me."

  • Author

"Maybe you should sew it Margaret. Maybe you should sew yourself up my so called 'KeyKeeper'." Anthea yelled, standing up, she threw Usagi at Margaret's face once more, running out of the apartment.

She was without Usagi, with out her axe, and without her keykeeper.

(Man, Anthea is mad...)

"Joshua...are you going to be okay?" she asked.

(kinda short post...)

"Ugh, Anthea. You're going to make me shoot you after all." Margaret grumbled. She grabbed her scythe-guns and latched them to her back, then grabbing the axe, the motorcycle keys, and Usagi before kicking the door open, walking out, and kicking it closed again. "Anthea! Where in the Hell do you plan on going?" Margaret yelled across the small distance between her and Anthea."What do you mean, Aisling? Of course I'll be okay. Eventually I might vomit or something, but that's at the most...." I said to Aisling and curled back up, going to sleep. Or rather, trying to go to sleep. "Where are we staying when we get to Poland anyway, Aisling? With your grandparents, right?"

Edited by CloakedSchemerX

  • Author

"I am going to Poland. With Aisling." Anthea said bluntly, beginning to run.

She wanted to trip up Margaret. Anthea ran quickly down an allyway, then down the other road, entering a clothes shop, Margaret was far behind her now.

"I didn't think that you'd like to come here." Aisling said with a slight smile.

"Yes. Poland. If not with my Grandparents then somewhere else. This ship is stopping in France. From there we will have to travel by train. And when we arrive in Poland, we will have to walk." she explained.

"Now you get some rest Josh. I am going to go see the ocean." she said.

Aisling had never seen the ocean. She headed up the stairs and to the deck.

Margaret walked back and hopped up on her motorcycle, latching the weapons to the front and keeping Anthea's axe and Usagi in the sidecar. "F*ck her. I shouldn't even be going after her." Margaret complaint but rode out to the street. "Where is she? She has no money to go to Poland...." Margaret knew she wasn't on any boat or heading there, especially on foot. But where would she hide?"Well, I guess I don't like the boat. But I'm fine going to Poland." I said and continued resting as Aisling said. After she left, I did get the smallest taint of green....Isaac had just about finished eating, taking his last spoon of the soup and leaving the money for it on the table. "Where to now? The boat won't arrive here for a while."

  • Author

"Margaret! Over here!! Come and get me!~~~!" Anthea teasingly said, yelling out of the shop door.

She ran down the road, complete opposite of Margaret. Why did she enjoy pestering her?

Aisling nodded, barely hearing Joshua. She wondered out to the side of the deck. The sea sparkled with morning light, she smiled slightly.

This was her first time seeing the ocean.

(My character's up too~)"Anthea...." Margaret grumbled and unsheathed her weapons to their scythe formation s so that she could maneuver with pipes, stable walls, and the like. She drove her motorcycle still to the other road and quickly turned it off once she was close enough to see Anthea. Leaving the axe and Usagi on the motorcycle but taking her keys, Margaret ran over towards Anthea, stabbing the scythes to the upper walls so that she could swing herself over stray residents. Finally reachin ahead of Anthea, Margaret stopped and turned to her as she ran her direction, directly slapping her once she was in reach. "What the Hell was that for, Anthea?!"Joshua was able to sleep, but it likely wasn't for long before the constant moving and noises of the boat would reach Joshua and wake him up.

(Dante....)

Anthea winced as she was slapped.

"Stop being a f***ing @$$ and I will stop trying to get to Aisling. But until then, I won't obey you." She yelled.

Hiro sighed as she saw Dante, crossing her arms.

"Dante..." She stated, sitting down near him.

"So, I am bored." Hiro said bluntly.

"You're the *ss here, Anthea. You're not going to Poland with insufficient money, so get your sh*t together." Margaret said, ready to backslap her again. Anthea needed discipline, and maybe Margaret would step forward to do so.

Dante calmly sipped his tea as the wind gently breezed by. Dante stood strong and tall as Hiro sat near him in the flowing grass and leaves of a tree. "You say that quite often during tea time, Hiro." Dante spoke as he sipped again. Dante's clothes were still golden and shining, even in the outside, here. His key dangled from his fingertips, etched with the words 'Art thou mankind?' on one side and

on the other. When Dante's tea was finished, he began chanting something, as if indirectly towards Hiro. "Nonci ananael, brin bliora, qzmoz, od iehvsoz ta zir...faaip de oiad." Dante chanted and turned to Hiro. "Now then, shall we go inside?"

(WHAT THE CRAP SCHEMER O_O)

"What Dante? What did you say to me? What language was that?" Hiro asked, confused.

"Ah! Yes. Inside would be nice. It is the middle of winter." She said. (WWII started in the US around December so it should be the close same for Europe)

"I never get my mint tea....so that is why I complain..." Hiro sighed.

"I can go anywhere as long as I have the key." Anthea giggled, her eyes in a rather dark glare.

(What? The language? It was put in the personality and biography. Or...it was mentioned....)"Ah, Hiro, you'll understand eventually. But do not fret, it was nothing negative. And that is the language of Enochian, it's engraved a bit on my key, and I speak it every so often, have you just not payed attention before to ask me this just now?" Dante asked with a slight chuckle. "After all, there has been said to be a very limited number of books readable only in Enochian. Perhaps they are filled with Phantoms." Dante said and walked over towards the door, walking past a small patch of various flowers. "Anyways, merely asking for your mint tea will suffice. Just tell me.""Planning on leaving your axe and the beloved Usagi here as you leave?" Margaret asked Anthea. Either answer would please Margaret in one way or another.

  • Author

(Ya, I didn't read that all the way ._. )

"Margaret. I know where the key is. Leave me alone." Anthea snapped.

"Sorry Dante. What does it translate to? I don't get to see the key a lot..." Hiro said, opening the door and stepping inside.

"Do I need to read these Enochian books?" She asked.
