Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian~ The ‘Shadows' Case’ ~ [A 1x1 between Neko-chan and CloakedSchemerX]

Posted

-Introduction-
In England after World War I, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, has finished his travels with Dalian and is currently watching her in good health. Hal Kamhout and Flamberge have finished off most of the Phantom Books, but it is still unknown if any still exist. ‘Professor’ and Rasiel have not been seen after the printer-company incident. The girl from the archives still is held within Dalian and the archives are still to access. A new Biblioprincess has been chosen, with a new Key Keeper. After discovery of hundreds of more Phantom Books, what news reporters called ‘The Shadow Case’, has traumatized many villagers and the new, unknown Key Keeper is being called out by the Biblioprincess, The Shadow Case, will have to be taken care of, also the effects of The Shadow Case.

-‘The Shadow Case’-
The Shadow Case takes place of demoniac shadows that come in different forms, some even possessing humans. Effects of the Shadow case include these shadows becoming monsters, burning down towns, causing reverse effects that should not be held in this world. The world is going out of balance because of this case all because of Phantoms Books. That is where the Biblioprincess and Key Keeper come in.

Miku:

Still...You are...All alone..

The sky is so blue
If only you knew it
If only you knew it...ahh

Meiko:

Where am I?
Even though the sky is blue
What I see is burned sand and rock face

The winds howl
Even though the horizon is far away
I was moved

Dried lakes
Burning fields
Someday they all will get back on the track
So, now I go forward

Even to the far future
There is a way to link
So, do not turn around
We can go through it

Len:

For everybody
That's what they said but...

In the starless sky
Light is overflowing
Since when
Have we been deserted?

The ladder that reaches to the end of the sky
I can't ascend it
In the cold world, holding hands,
We live today as always
We're not lifeless

(Stars, falling stars)

Someone, please give me courage
To face forward without turning back
The iron giant should shake the earth,
Disturb the atmosphere and follow

Even so I'd rather go with someone laughing
Than living all alone
Kick the earth to get onto the atmosphere
Believing in a fate that I can meet you

"Mm, Aisling...I think people will be looking for me...." I muttered, looking up to the crowds of people. I hugged Aisling back, repeating: "I'm sorry, Aisling." After that, he took out his key without much question. "I ask of thee: art thou mankind?"

Dante smiled a bit and began cooking. First putting the salad together while roasting the...well, the roast.

(It's okay)

"Nay...I Am The World. The Lost World. Holder of 55,555 Phantom Books. Open the gates to truth..." Aisling seemed to say as the spade in her side split, and within a dark void, one book only appeared. If Aisling would have given anymore books, then she would have ended up even more hurt.

As the Book Of Diverty appeared in Joshua's hands, Aisling fell to her knees with shocked look on her face.

Aisling and I both went into our seperate trances, activating the Bibliotheca and opening the gate...recieving a Phantom Book afterwards. "The Book of Diversity...?" I mumbled to myself. Beginning to open the book, I heard a thud and my vision went black again.

The older woman had knocked Joshua's head again with her parasol, doing the same to Aisling after. The woman grabbed Joshua and held the young girl's hand over to the train as well, Isaac coming and doing the same with Aisling. Isaac lugged Aisling over his shoulder and walked to the train, leaving in only a short minute.

(THIS MIGHT ME MY LAST DAMNED POST FOR A WHILE, OKAY?!! LOOK A MY STATS. CAN'T EXPLAIN.)

"Hey...Margaret...something is wrong....with another one of us....Kon! Aisling and Joshua! Something is wrong..." Anthea exclaimed, becoming really nervous all the sudden.

The bibliotheca's powers were cut off suddenly, sending a shock of pain between Aisling AND Joshua. The keyhole sealed, Aisling couldn't awaken until later though.

(I hope you come back soon, Sodom... 2 months until school should be over. Hopefully Lee comes back too)

"........" Margaret didn't speak at first, trying to concentrate on the feeling she and Anthea felt. "......Yes, I felt that. But how are you so sure it's them?" Margaret asked as she set aside her weapons. "...Either way, we can't even leave for France for an hour." Margaret said, feeling a bit uneased herself. As if she shouldn't go to France or Poland, and would be endangered otherwise. But...that was the kind of thing Margaret liked to face. "...I usually deal with the things that make me of all people...nervous, alone. Sure you want to go?" Margaret asked Anthea, applying her usual Gothic make-up.

Even from an unconscious state, a chill and a sharp pain stung Joshua, as if to warn him. (Aisling...are we...gone....?)

Isaac and the two girls soon sat in the already departing train. Isaac sat with Aisling against the window, and in the spot behind them, the woman and the girl sat on both ends from Joshua. "...So then, that Phantom Book. I should test it with them, what was it...?...The Book of Torment if I recall."

A meager and minor annoyance of a pain struck Dante suddenly. He looked down as if it'd be of Hiro, but it clearly wasn't. (I likely shouldn't tell her unless she felt it too. I wouldn't like her worry her.) Dante thought to himself.

~Anthea~

"I have known Aisling for a long time Margaret. I am sure I want to go...England is really boring anyway..." Anthea said seriously.

~Aisling~
-In the Bibliotheca-
Aisling looked around, there were cloud-like formations floating closely to the ground. She was standing in very shallow water, and was transparent in this realm. Looking over, she saw Joshua, he was transparent as well.
"Welcome to the Bibliotheca Angelus Tribelium." she announced, looking around.
"I've only been here once." she said, staring at what looked like white fortresses in the distance.
"This is where I store the knowledge I obtained...and this is where you receive the books." she explained.

~Hiro~
"Something wrong, Dante?" Hiro asked, tilting her head.

Edited by Sodom

"Sure. I'll tell you when its time to leave...." Margaret said to Anthea. She rested her legs up on a counter and leaned back to rest.

I glanced around, at first feeling the 'clouds' near the ground, wherever I was. Yes...where was I? He took a step forward and noticed it waved softly as if above water. (Where am I...?) He thought to himself, hearing a voice behind him. 'Welcome to the Bibliotheca Angelus Tribellium .' Joshua turned around, seeing Aisling and running up to her. "Aisling! I think...we're alright...maybe...but why and how.did we get here...?" Joshua asked Aisling, still glancing around at the blue area.

Isaac already had his guests in an automobile, riding off to another city in Poland. They were close. Soon enough they would be at his home.

"No, Hiro. It is nothing." Dante said without hesitation, patting Hiro's head again and serving Hiro her food, and himself food and tea as well.

"We are alright here...but really until we are awoken, we are stuck in this deminsion I suppose...really we are still with Isaac. Why we got here is simple. There was an interference...Isaac stole a phantom book. From my bibliogtheca...we were both effected because if you die, then the bibliotheca falls apart...killing me...with you. However if I die...then noting happens to you. The key disappears and so does your handseal. How did we...I don't know." Aisling said, as the 'cloud' moved its position, revealing gleaming stain-glass like collums floating several feet off the ground.

"Thank you Dante!" Hiro said happily, staring at him for a while before beginning to eat.

I had a bit more of a sad expression now at this situation. "I don't want to die, and I don't want you to die. But I don't think Isaac will just kill us...he has weapons, he could've earlier, and he could now. So...what do we do now?" Joshua asked Aisling. He decided to sit in wait in front of Aisling as of now. "And do you know what book he took?"

"Its my pleasure, Hiro." Dante responded, taking a spoon of his soup, and a sip of his tea. "Hiro, Isaac should have arrived here in Poland around this time." Dante said calmly and nonchalantly, taking a bite of salad. "Although I feel as if we need not intervene. As if another pair of a Key Keeper and Biblioprincess will arrive before time is out for whatever Isaac is doing."

"He took my Book of Diversity...probaly the one with the best story in it about a small town in china destroyed by hatred...I really don't know what to do...wait I suppose." Aisling said, looking up at the blueish aurora in the place.

"Does that mean I get to see that creepy Anthea Ione, Bibliotheca Umbra something...and Aisling Torrin...Bibliotheca Angelus Trilbellium...? The Lost World, Reverse World and my world into one. How wonderfully tragic~" Hiro said with a smirk.

I looked up to the same large aurora of blue that Aisling looked up to. "I still wonder what he's going to do with us...and if we'll survive...."

Isaac rested in his mansion's foyer, enjoying a nice coffee before the test of a Phantom Book. Joshua was placed in a large test tube in the basement, as was Aisling but in the attic. Such a large mansion, both up and down. Joshua was in the laboratory two stories underground, as Aisling was four stories above ground. He held a remote to unlock both test tubes as well. "The Book of Torment. The last Biblioprincess was here eventually told me that, in my hands, all slain souls within this mansion will rise back in an attempt to torment the living, whom are also in the mansion. It'll last until the book is destroyed, or if I am killed by those whom wish to take revenge. Interesting...." Isaac told himself for now, as the woman and young girl were elsewhere. "Now to begin...."

"Hm...ot could be anyone, really. But Anthea and Margaret would be the most likely of cantidates while Aisling and her Key Keeper are bound to be there. You wish to go to Isaac's when the time is there?" Dante asked Hiro. It'd be quite dangerpus for her in a home with a scientist mad with desires, and two pairs of Biblioprincesses and Key Keepers.

Aisling looked up as a golden speck dashed upon the blue, soon, it was out of sight.

"That Gold would be Anthea...she is the Golden Library...and there is also the Scarlet Library...I haven't see her in a while though." she sighed.

A tower in the distance could be shown breaking midly apart.

"Isaac....Joshua...we need to esacpe! Isaac is going to use the phantom book against us!" she yelled, grabbing Joshua's hand.

"Lets go."

"I wanna go now Dante!" Hiro complained.

(O.o Nice...signature Sodom.....)

"Lies, lies, lies. Lies are everywhere. As is sin overall. These are all seen as traits of a demon. It is laughable, really. For a human that goes mad with sin is far deadlier than any demon. Those of Lust and desire. Of Gluttony and waste. Greed, whom want all for themselves. Those who take Wrath upon others, or live life a Sloth, Envious of those with Pride. The eyes of innocence tormented by theseh depraved souls become nothing more, with their wrath and vengeance. There is no paradise for those fallen. Not anymore. Only that needed to be read before the moans and groans of Isaac's victims were heard. Some spineless homunculi, others that are bestial chimeras. Abominations of many humans in one and the like littered about. With a press of a button, the test tubes unlocked, leaving Aisling's and Joshua's bodies both vulnerable. "Let's see if anyone I killed can do worse than me."

Margaret could feel a slight shock suddenly. "Anthea, get in the motorcycle. We're leaving now." Margaret commanded, getting her weapons, the tickets for the boat, and many other items before entering the motorcycle and igniting the engine.

I nodded and followed Aisling, worried for us both. "Where are we going?!" He asked quickly, seeing almost nowhere to truly go.

"Why do you wish to go? I suppose, I could take you, but we must leave in the event your life comes to.risk." Dante said to Hiro, taking another fork of his salad.

(Changed it Mr.bossy pants...)

"The towers...in the towers there are copies of every single phantom book that is burned, or already removed from the library. If we destroy the book of diversity and the book of torment, then we should awaken in the real world and get out of here. The thing is...I don't know where we are in the real world right now." Aisling said as she began slightly running.

"If we don't hurry then we will be killed in the real world." she noted.

Anthea hopped in the side-car quickly.

"What is wrong Margaret?" she asked, a bit worried.

"Take me to Isaac's...If Kon to Kuro and Umbra are there, then I would like to see them in person." Hiro announced.

(You can keep the signature if you want, it was just...surprising.)

Isaac could hear the screams and pleads of his victims all throughout the mansion. Most were the victims of the Holocaust, Jews and those who wished to help the Jews. Many were here. Some wanting revenge on Isaac, others wanting to ensure that Isaac couldn't cause more tragedies. Isaac grinned and closed his eyes, listening to the many futile souls of vengeance. All yelling and screaming. "I'm alive?!" "GIVE ME BACK MY SON!!!" "I don't want to live anymore!!!" "Everything hurts...!" "Someone play with me...." "Mom! Dad! Someone!" "Help me..." These screams pleased Isaac. Behind even those were the sounds of painful screams and grieving moans, as well as the tears of all. The ones not old enough to speak sat and cried. Some of these victims die again today in the rumbling crowds of anger and hate.

In the room Aisling was in there was only one victim as of now. He was a young teen who suffered a reluctant quick death. He walked over to see the unconscious Aisling and decided to take her away from those who were killing and wrecking havoc on everything they could see. She was being saved.

I began to worry even more than I already did, both for myself and Aisling. "Can we find the two books in an entire tower? It might not.be as simple!" Joshua told Aisling as he ran.

(We might not make it. We have an entire boat ride, a train travel, and then we'd STILL have to find where they are.) Margaret thought to herself irritatingly. "Anthea. I hate resorting to it, but...does your Bibliotheca have any Phantom Books that would get us to Poland quickly? Just the feeling of whatever's going on by Kon to Kuro is making me anxious." Margaret said to Anthea, beginning to drive off if Anthea doesn't.

"So be it, then." Dante said, finishing his soup and salad. "We shall head to Isaac's. May the grace of angels be in our favor today."

(OMG, I AM BEING SAVED (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧)

"Um...there is a problem." Aisling sighed.

She slowly stopped running.

"There is a lock on the door that can be unlocked by your hand-seal..." she explained.

Anthea bit her lip.

"Ye--Yes...there is...but...we haven't used the bibliotheca in SUCH a long time..." Anthea said, gripping onto Usagi a little tight..

"Yay! Thanks Dante!" Hiro said happily.

This describes like everyone's little part in this right now...

The door where Aisling truly was burst down just as the boy had escaped with Aisling. They were in a more hidden room, in which the boy had died in at the hands of Isaac. There was a switch lied behind a poster that would unlock a door, which was hidden behind the bed where victims were chained down and killed. (They shouldn't find us here....) the boy thought and set Aisling down. He had mildly long black hair and dark brown eyes, wearing ragged and torn clothes. His clothing his several wounds and gashes. If he pulled up his sleeve, a bone could be seen. For now, he shook Aisling to see if she would wake. "She doesn't seem dead...and Isaac hasn't done much to her that I can see." He muttered and tried waking her up more.

Down to the basement, the cellar door burst open, followed by quite a few tortured souls trudging along the floor towards Joshua.

I slowed down a bit to Aisling's pace, "A problem? Can't we use my hand seal then?"

Margaret turned to Anthea seriously. "I know we haven't. But right now, I ask your permission to.use the Bobliotheca."

Dante walked out the home and to an automobile. "Come then, Hiro."

  • Author

"Joshua...I need you to open the doors...on the third floor they should be located. They are on the bottom shelf on the thrid bookcase. After you recive the books, simply say 'Kon to Kuro No Yomihine'...and then you should be teleported out of the tower. Rip the books apart, and if you can, light them on fire. Something woke me up Joshua...I am sorry...but you have to destroy them. I will try to save you in the real world." Aisling said seriously as she began to fade away.

Soon, she was gone.

-Real World-

Aisling's eyes fluttered open. The pain and fright came back to her.

"Joshua...!" she whisper/yelled.

Aisling looked at the boy, blinking twice.

"Who—Who are you?! Where the hell am I?! Where is Joshua Akira?!" she snapped.

Anthea sighed.

"Mar—Margaret...I give you permission to open the gate." Anthea said, her voice shaky as she let go of Usagi.

Hiro fallowed without a word.

The boy looked at Aisling and covered her mouth with his hand for a few seconds. "Quiet. You'll bring them all here." He said and brought his hand back to him. It was soft, but cold and weak. "I don't think you care that much about me, but my name's Alexander. You're in Isaac's attic, and, sorry, I don't know any Joshua...or where he is." Alexander told Aisling quietly. "Did Isaac do anything to you...?""Ai-Aisling, you're leaving...?!" Joshua stuttered as Aisling gradually faded away. He quickly ran to the tower, feeling a slight amount of water in his eyes. There was no way to tell how Aisling felt in the real world, or what was happening to his own body. He ran to the tower and pushed open the doors, running up the spiral staircase towards the Third floor."Thank you Anthea." Margaret hesitated to say it, but quietly muttered with her key: "I ask of thee, art thou mankind?"Dante started the ignition and drove off along with Hiro in the front seat beside him.

"I did get stabbed..." Aisling said, revealing her wound.

"I am Aisling Torrin by the way..." She said rather quietly.

"Nay...I am world....the Reverse World...!" Anthea said on Margaret's command as her keyhole was unlocked.

Smiling in pain (who the hell does that!?), one single light blue book appeared in her hand.

"The book of Passage." She stated, grabbing Usagi.

"Well...we're in a laboratory, so it shouldn't be too hard...." Alexander said, walking around to a bunch of shelves and looking through. He grabbed a roll of bandaging, and went back to Aisling, wrapping it around her wound. "You should stay here, who knows where Isaac is now." He said. The groaning of many victims still echoed everywhere through the mansion.I got up to the third floor and quickly ran to the third bookcase, skimming through the bottom shelf. "Here! The book of diversity, and......the book of torment." I muttered to myself. "Kon to Kuro no Yomihime."Margaret took the Book of Passage and opened it, beginning to read already. "Amidst the shallows of the deep, the slivers of light in the darkness, and scattered between the worlds lies the ways of ghosts and ghouls. The phantom trail which lies nowhere and everywhere. Allow us of the living to travel to...Kon to Kuro no Yomihime." Margaret spoke. Margaret quickly held on to her belongings, her weapons and motorcycle as Anthea held Usagi. They were subconsciously taken to Poland-- outside of Isaac's mansion. Margaret looked fiercely to the door of the mansion, which was blocked by an 'abomination'. A mixture of dozens and dozens of humans, ther arms, legs, and torsos transfused with one another in one giant blob, with their heads and faces sticking out. Some arms were also free, trying to grab forward. "Stay back, Anthea. Cover your eyes." Margaret said, loading her scythe-guns with bullets.

  • Author

"If you could Alexander...go and find Joshua. Isaac would want us to be split from each other. We are weaker that way." Aisling said quietly, holding onto the side her keyhole was.

Anthea latched onto Usagi tightly, closing her eyes tightly and hiding her face with the stuffed rabbit.

Margaret blasted the abomination down once Anthea shut her eyes. She could probably hear the screaming and agonizing pain as the dozens of people suffered. Once it was blown to dust, Margaret grabbed Anthea and brought her inside before she could open her eyes, shutting the door behind her. "You don't need to see what became of it." Margaret told her as they were inside. "There's a lot of them here...." Margaret grumbled. Many zombified people roamed the mansion, crying and yelling everywhere. A chimera could be seen in the distance, feeding on people as well. "Yes...I'll do what I can. But stay here, I already know how it is to die. You shouldn't." Alexander said to Aisling. (Finding one person in this madness? I don't thin I can...but, I may as well try. The other labs are in the basement....) Alexander thought to himself. (I wonder if I'll die again.)I picked the first book up-- The Book of Diversity. I forced on it-- opposite forces on both sides, eventually ripping it in two. "Ngh, I don't have anything to light it...! I'll do that later." I mumbled to myself, picking the Book of Torment now. As soon as I grabbed it, I got to the real world. My eyes bulged open from my unconscious state and I looked ahead, seeing someone chomping my leg. "GAh!" I jumped back, with the person not letting go. It was weak and clearly hungry. "G-get away!!!" I yelled, instinctively slashing it away with my kunai. We both stumbled back, and the person was bleeding.I backed away and looked around. "Aisling! Aisling!!! Where are you?!" Being four stories away from eachother and past a cellar door and an attic opening, Aisling wouldn't hear me. "Where am I?" I asked myself, hearing banging on the door behind me. I quickly ran to the door ahead and witnessed many zombified people roaming and killing eachother off. A bestial screech and  human screams of death came behind me now. "What is that?!"

"Alexander? Do you know how to fight?" Aisling asked, looking up at him.

"Use this." she said, handing him a dagger.

"And if you see a little girl with a stuffed rabbit and blonde hair, tell her to fight her way up here and me and her will eventually make it out. There should be an older lady with her named Margaret. Bring her along with you and go get Joshua with her. The little girl's name is Anthea. Please go...quickly!" Aisling said, gripping onto some of her daggers.

"Margaret...what is going on?!" Anthea asked, holding onto Margaret.

"Thanks. I guess I should have something to defend myself." Alexander told Aisling with a fake smile. "I'll try and come back. I'll keep an eye out for the living too." He said, leaving ad closing the door, locking it back up with the switch. He hesitated, but ran down the stairs. The only people up on this floor at this point were dead-- the others went down to look for Isaac. "I think someone used a Phantom Book. Everything here used to be human, or an animal. Most were human though. But they already died once, so if they get in my way...." Margaret grumbled and stopped mid-sentence. "Just don't be afraid." She said and switched her weapons to scythes, slicing the hostile humans in two. I began running up the basement stairs, slightly slashing the arms of anyone trying to grab or devour him. "Get away from me!!!" He yelled with tears running down. All of these people were clearly tortured and living. "There has to be someone here...." He muttered. "Aisling!!!"
