Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian~ The ‘Shadows' Case’ ~ [A 1x1 between Neko-chan and CloakedSchemerX]

Posted

-Introduction-
In England after World War I, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, has finished his travels with Dalian and is currently watching her in good health. Hal Kamhout and Flamberge have finished off most of the Phantom Books, but it is still unknown if any still exist. ‘Professor’ and Rasiel have not been seen after the printer-company incident. The girl from the archives still is held within Dalian and the archives are still to access. A new Biblioprincess has been chosen, with a new Key Keeper. After discovery of hundreds of more Phantom Books, what news reporters called ‘The Shadow Case’, has traumatized many villagers and the new, unknown Key Keeper is being called out by the Biblioprincess, The Shadow Case, will have to be taken care of, also the effects of The Shadow Case.

-‘The Shadow Case’-
The Shadow Case takes place of demoniac shadows that come in different forms, some even possessing humans. Effects of the Shadow case include these shadows becoming monsters, burning down towns, causing reverse effects that should not be held in this world. The world is going out of balance because of this case all because of Phantoms Books. That is where the Biblioprincess and Key Keeper come in.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYqg97kSGuA Lyrics:

Miku:

Still...You are...All alone..

The sky is so blue
If only you knew it
If only you knew it...ahh

Meiko:

Where am I?
Even though the sky is blue
What I see is burned sand and rock face

The winds howl
Even though the horizon is far away
I was moved

Dried lakes
Burning fields
Someday they all will get back on the track
So, now I go forward

Even to the far future
There is a way to link
So, do not turn around
We can go through it

Len:

For everybody
That's what they said but...

In the starless sky
Light is overflowing
Since when
Have we been deserted?

The ladder that reaches to the end of the sky
I can't ascend it
In the cold world, holding hands,
We live today as always
We're not lifeless

(Stars, falling stars)

Someone, please give me courage
To face forward without turning back
The iron giant should shake the earth,
Disturb the atmosphere and follow

Even so I'd rather go with someone laughing
Than living all alone
Kick the earth to get onto the atmosphere
Believing in a fate that I can meet you

After Alexander left, Aisling walked over and sat beside the door.

She listened quietly, her daggers ready in her hand.

"I shouldn't have opened the Bibliotheca." she whispered to herself.

"Yes Margret..." Anthea said quietly, moving her hands away from her eyes she opened them for a second before shutting them at the sight.

"Where is my axe?" she insisted to know.

"Your axe is over by the motorcycle. If you want we can get it. Or you can use one of my scythes." Margaret said, shooting down another human. (Aisling and Joshua are both in here somewhere. The sure as Hell better not die!) Margaret thought to herself, reloading and beginning to shoot more.Alexander ran through a hall on the second floor, towards the stairs. (This place is huge.) He thought. As he ran, a barely living human-- with only his upper body remaining grabbed him. "Nngh...get off...." He grumbled, and slashed at the human's wrist. He began to run again and made it to the staircase. The staircase was long and narrow, many people searching for Isaac and falling down dead came, with some trying to kill me. "Food...give me food...." One mumbled. I ignored the plead and made it to the first basement floor.

"Can I use a scythe?!" Anthea asked, rather happy at this offer.

'Please hurry Alexander...please' Aisling thought, standing up she placed her hand on the lock of the door, gripping onto her daggers.

"Joshua..." she whispered, tears forming in her eyes.

Margaret greatly hesitated. "Y-.....yes......." She muttered, and handed her the scythe. "Careful when you switch it's form. Just use it as a scythe, actually, you don't need to have it as a gun." Margaret said to Anthea and looked around. "Let's go upstairs first and see if we can find them." Margaret said and grabbed Anthea's arm, ringing her towards the stairs. Alexander ran down and found the next staircase down towards the first floor. It was further down and Alexander jumped onto a ledge, jumping over and going only a few feet down, stabbing someone in the process. He came across two people, both apparently of the living, although a bit pale. (Blonde hair...stuffed animal...) He thought and stopped in front of them as Margaret's scythe came to his neck. He backed up, "Are you Anthea?" He asked with a gulp from the scythe barely scraping him. "Who are you? How do youu know Anthea?" Margaret quickly interrogated with the barrel of a gun at his forehead. He didn't answer to who he was, they wouldn't care. No one would. "I'm just here because a girl-- Aisling-- told me to look for her friend, Joshua. And that you two might help her." I made it up the next set of stairs and made it to the first floor, where still more people roamed. He ran and hid behind some furniture, looking for Aisling. He ran to the kitchen, the living room, and through the foyer looking for her. "Ai-Aisling! Where are you....?" He exclaimed, beginning to lose hope. His leg throbbed and bled from the man earlier on.

"Margret...Aisling needs our help. Go help this boy find Joshua." Anthea said, opening her eyes slowly.

Aisling listened closely to all of the racket that was going on outside of the room.

"Aisling! Where are you!!?" she barely heard.

That was Joshua's voice! No doubt! And it wasn't an illusion!

"At least he made it out of the Bibliotheca okay..." she sighed to herself before bracing herself.

Aisling unlocked the door, dashing full speed, faster then she has probably ever gone running down the stairs.

She almost tripped as something grabbed her leg.

"Food..." they said gruesomely.

"Shit!" Aisling snapped, trying to kick this corpse away.

A knife came straight to the head of the corpse trying to kill Aisling. "Ah. That's where you've been. I'm amazed you found that little secret spot." A man said to Aisling and knelt down beside her. It was Isaac. "Fine. Still stay by me." Margaret ordered, grabbing Anthea as Alexander followed. They went back down the stairs looking for Joshua. I kept on running through the large first floor and ended up in a library. (There has to be someone....) I thought frantically."We've arrived." Dante told Hiro calmly and stepped out of the automobile. In the distance, through his monocle, Dante spotted a corpse. Or rather, dozens of them in one. An abomination blown to bits. "Come, Hiro. Follow me, but keep your eyes shut until we get inside."

"Isaac!" Aisling snapped, kicking the front of his head.

It wasn't that hard to kick him, she was standing up and he was kneeling.

She held a knife to his neck and grabbed him by his collar, pulling him so he would be in full eye-contact with her.

"WHERE THE HELL IS JOSHUA??!!!" she yelled, tears still in her eyes.

(I am betting some really sarcastic rude comment from him)

"I don't have to cover my eyes...I have seen dead people before..." Hiro said rather rudely, loading her pistol.

"Do what you wish. But it is no pleasant sightsee." Dante told Hiro seriously and walked up the small hill towards the house. Isaac went back down to Aisling and reversed behind her as he covered her mouth tightly. "Hush child. Nothing bad most likely. At the least eaten alive." Isaac told Aisling cruelly and emotionlessly. "I mean, really, you expect an eleven year old fragile boy to survive an onslaught of tortured souls who want nothing but revenge and a meal? You're quite faithful." He said. He pulled a skinning knife and held it to her chest. "Not much here." He laughed.Alexander and Margaret looked up, hearing Aisling's yelling. (Should we help her? Yeah. We haven't found Joshua yet though.) Alexander thought. He quickly began to run upstairs to where the screaming was heard. As son as he made it he lunged and stabbed Isaac in the back of his neck.

  • Author

Aisling watched in fright as Isaac placed the knife to her chest, however her eyes were focused on Alexander.

'Joshua!! Where is he?!!? Go save Joshua! Not me! Find Joshua!' she thought frantically.

"Come on...lets go get Joshua..." Anthea said, pulling at Margret's sleeve.

Hiro sighed, fallowing Dante quietly.

"Yeah...sure." Margaret agreed, walking once again down the steps just as the main entrance door burst open. "......Umbra Flors, yes?" Dante asked as he walked in, glaring at Anthea. Margaret loaded her scythe-gun just as Dante had already had his gun facing Margaret. "My, no need for a gun duel." Dante scoffed. He already had the upper hand. Even his bullets were of hard gold. "What do you want?" Margaret asked, stepping down. "Just here to see what our old acquaintance Isaac is up to. No good, clearly. He has Kon to Kuro no Yomihime, yes?"Isaac stumbled forward at the unexpected attack from Alexander. He let go of Aisling, but shoved her to the side. "Alexander...right? I thought I had dissected you before." Isaac said, glaring back at Alexander. Alexander didn't reply, but looked at Aisling. "Go now! And get away from here!" He yelled at her.I continued searching through the library, looking for the Book of Torment as of now. (It might be here somewhere! It's a nice place to hide it, rather than just one book lying around!!) Joshua thought. A hiss of sorts was heard not far, a chimera of a chameleon and spider.

  • Author

"Koganeiro no Yomihime...and Aisling is  Bibliotheca Angelus Tenebrarum...I am Umbra Flos...and Dante...keykeeper of the Bibliotheca Negavit Horologium...Akai no Yomihine..." Anthea corrected rather rudely.

"Aww...it is Koganeiro..." Hiro said, standing beside Dante.

"Akai!" Anthea snapped.

"Umbra..." Hiro smirked.

"NEGAVIT!" Anthea shouted.

Aisling hesitated, but she dashed down the stairs again, dodging the corpse. She did this until she reached a rather large door.

"This looks like a good place to hide...I will stay here..." she whispered to herself.

Opening the door she gazed at all of the bookshelves. This was a library. Aisling began walking down the shelves.

Catching a glimpse of something, she stopped. A hiss. A creature was now in front of her.

"A...Chimera?" she asked herself, reveling her daggers.

Dante scoffed a bit at Anthea's correction. "The youths are worsening each day." He said, overshadowed by Hiro's and Anthea's bickering. He smiled softly and looked t another direction. "Well, Margaret, have fun with your Biblioprincess." Dante remarked. He took Hiro and walked ahead to a large door. The chimera lunged and somewhat pounced and bit Aisling, before lunging again and climbing over a bookcase. It jumped onto Joshua's arm, just before flying back like a parasite being burned. Dante had stepped in and shot the chimera. "You must have been frightened in this place." He said softly to Joshua. Always getting calm around children. "Others are in this room." Dante said. Behind several more bookcases, Aisling was slashed at again. The woman from earlier brought a knife and attacked Aisling from fleeing from Isaac, and the little girl held a stuffed dog, watching the woman slash Aisling. Margaret scoffed  at Dante, and took Anthea into the library after the shot. (F*cking Key Keeper).) She thought rudely. She was a bit quieter today, it's been long. After the shot, she took her scythe and lunged it over the woman's neck, shooting down to the ground and giving momentum to slice the woman dead. After all, this lady was but a mere, emotionless mannequin. As was the little one. Margaret raised her gun and shot her as well, pulling Aisling up. "I'm not here to save you, so get that straight." Margaret said to Aisling rudely.

  • Author

Aisling looked up at Margaret.

"Thanks though..." she sighed, holding a sizable wound caused by the woman.

'Damn it...' she thought, biting her lip.

"For once, it is rather good to see you guys. I am never saying that again, okay?" Aisling smiled.

"Is this Kon to Kuro's keykeeper?! He is sooooo cute!" Hiro over-exaggerated.

"But he is hurt...isn't that sad..." Hiro said, crossing her arms.

Margaret latched her weapon to he back and flipped her hair away from her face. "You're right; don't." Margaret said, walking back beside Anthea. "He is, actually." Dante told Hiro, glancing at Joshua's hand-seal. "And yes. It is rather...sad. But he can mend his own wounds at any given moment." Dante said a bit abstractly, still beside Hiro.I turned red a bit, but turned and ran to Aisling, hugging her in a bit of tears. "Sorry Aisling... couldn't tear the Book of Torment, I was woken up and almost eaten, and lost, and..." I stopped and continued again. "...But I'm glad you're alive too." He said."How touching." Isaac spoke. He tossed Alexander in the center of the room, he was conscious, but bleeding quickly.

  • Author

Aisling hugged Joshua tightly as he did so.

"It's okay...it will still be there...where you left it. You're hurt...That potion the bibliotheca gave you would come in handy right now..." She said, letting the tears she attempted to hold back for a while fall down her cheeks.

Everything seemed fine until Isaac made his remark.

Hiro pointed her gun at him, Anthea readying her scythe, and Aisling gripping onto her daggers after she let go of Joshua.

"You are outnumbered Isaac...three Biblioprincesses...three keykeepers all against one person..." Aisling declared.

"For once Isaac....I thought I would NEVER point my gun at you....however you have hurt another Keykeeper.....and you probably don't know what happens when a Keykeeper dies, but it isn't a good result." Hiro sighed.

'Alexander...hang in there....' Aisling thought, shifting her gaze slightly over to him.

Isaac chuckled. He stepped forward a bit. "Heh, I'm not here to dissect any of you. Yet, I suppose. I am a great fighter, but...I know when situations go dreary." Isaac muttered. He pulled a book from his lab coat. "This experiment is over and done with. I suppose I'll see you all another time. With the exception of Alexander." Isaac scoffed and tossed the book onto the floor. Margaret kept her scythe-gun aimed at Isaac even as he practically surrendered. Dante stepped ahead calmly and took the Book of Torment from the floor when Isaac began to leave. "Let us go. We shouldn't be spending much more time in Isaac's mansion. He surely has more humans and chimeras roaming amok." He said, grabbing Hiro's hand and walking outside with the book.

  • Author

With Isaac gone, Aisling put up her daggers, running over to Alexander's side.

"Are you okay Alexander?!" she asked urgently, putting her hands over some of his wounds.

"Joshua. This is Alexander. He helped me a lot and patched up my hand wound." she intoduced.

"Alexander, this is my keykeeper. Joshua Akira. You will be okay, alright?" she said, giving a slight hopeful smile.

Anthea grabbed onto Margaret's sleeve, handing the scythe back.

"Thanks Margaret...um...Aisling..." she said to Margaret mainly...should they help them?

"Ya know that is Kon to Kuro's book Dante..." Hiro snapped.

Alexander smiled softly. Just the touch of Aisling's living, warm hand was pleasant. "Thank-you Aisling. And sorry, both of you, I couldn't find Joshua when you told me to." Alexander said. "No, it's not your fault...!" Joshua told him. He may have just met him right now, but seeing anyone in grief was never a good sight. "And...thank you, Alexander. For helping Aisling." He continued. "Hello, Joshua. It's definitely nice to meet you now. I'll be fine; at least my wounds will. Once the book goes, I'll disappear. But I don't have any regrets, death is the only place I belong now. I'm not even warm blooded anymore." Alexander said. Margaret looked at Anthea. "What about her? There's really nothing or us to help them with." She looked at Aisling and the others now, anyway. Come on. Dante and Hiro already left. We should go before Isaac changes his mind." Margaret told Aisling seriously as she latched both weapons to her back. "I know, Hiro. But I'm not planning on leaving it. Kon to Kuro no Yomihime will follow and take the matters ito her own hands, and burn the book. Just wait a short while." Dante told Hiro calmly. He pated her head again, and hid his gun back within his robe.

"So you were dead all along...?" Aisling paused."I've only seen people come to life again once because of phantom books." she said seriously.Aisling placed her right hand on Alexander's shoulder."We will stay here with you while you die again...okay?" she said with a slight smile.Aisling's leftover hand grabbed Joshua pulling him close to her."You're also hurt Joshua...both of us are..." she said rather sadly to him, she was wounded by that fake-lady eairlier."Okay...sorry Margaret..." Anthea said slightly upset.Anthea gripped onto Usagi and began walking out."Do you think she'll have anywhere to stay? Our mansion is pretty big...I don't know why she couldn't stay there...it is Anthea I despise by the way...she is so damned annoying..." Hiro said bluntly.

Edited by Sodom

"Yes. Just like the rest of the people from the Book of Torment. I don't know who was worse; Isaac...or the Nazi's. I'm pretty sure most of Isaac's victims are Jews like me." Alexander smiled a bit. He placed his hand over Aisling's, mainly for the warm feeling of her touch. "But don't feel bad. And...thank-you. I think...um...Dante, I think that was his name...anyway, he has the book, right? I'll go only when the book is broken or burned. Or if this pain and lack of blood gets to me, of course." Alexander continued. "But still...it was nice to meet you, as it lasted." I knelt beside Aisling and in front of Alexander. I didn't realy know what to say. I came like that, in a dazed state whenever something like this happens. "...Aisling..." I mumbled to her. "...Will the Panacea help him?" I asked, holding a small pouch I had filled of it in my hands now.  "Let's go. I've had enough of this place." Margaret told Anthea. She sighed, and began walking down the small hill to her motorcycle. "Don't feel bad, Anthea. You know you and Aisling are already friends again, don't you?" She asked her without much emotion in her face. "Even if not much happened between you two today. Doesn't make much a difference in that fact.""I agree a bit on Anthea. And I will only allow them to stay for the night at our mansion if you wish it. After all, I have doubts that they would come here to Poland without a clue on where to live." Dante said. He glanced back at Hiro and figured she'd want them to come. He hesitated a second, and began walking back up the hill, holding Hiro's hand safely along the way. They past Margaret and Anthea on the way up.

"No...sadly the Panacea will not help him...he is already dead....well we will die again..." Aisling said.

"Sorry Alexander...and you're welcome...We are going to leave now, okay? Thank You..." Aisling said with a soft smile before removeing her hand from Alexander's shoulder.

"Goodbye Alexander..." she said.

Aisling picked up Joshua because his leg was still injured, and slowly walked out.

"You might want to drink some of that...and then let me have some...some freak from a phantom book stabbed me..." Aisling said as the two headed outside.

Soon enough, Aisling caught up with Dante.

"You have my book..." she said sadly.

'That doesn't change anything...' Those words echoed in Anthea's head as she seemed a bit dazed out.

"Goodbye Aisling. Again, it was nice knowing you." Alexander said. He smiled a bit, a chill running down him again as Aisling left. (Try not to forget me, Aisling. No one else really knows I exist.) He thought sadly.
I stood quiet the whole time we were with Alexander, with virtually nothing to say. I was sort of, speechless apparently. "...Mm, of course." I replied quietly to Aisling as they left. The door slowly shut behind them and Alexander wasn't seen anymore. "Alexander was nice; I wish we knew more people like him. ...I wish he was still alive."

Dante glanced at Aisling. "Ah, indeed I do." Dante handed the book to Joshua, as Aisling was carrying him. "I understand you have little to nowhere to stay this night. Hiro wishes for your company-- it's not often the opportunity arises." Dante suggested to Aisling. "You don't have any means of travel, either."

The door to Isaac's mansion was shut. A few rooms ahead from that entrance, in the library lied the dead fake women and Alexander, barely living much longer. "Now why would I let someone die peacefully...when dissection is in order?" Isaac barged in and asked. "I don't have regrets, Isaac." Alexander replied seriously. "Whatever the case...I never miss a chance to dissect...even if it's happened once before."
Before the end of the Book of Torture...Isaac had dissected Alexander alive.

Aisling nodded her head.

"Yes...that would be great. Thank you." she said to Dante.

'I do wish there were more people like him Joshua...' Aisling thought, looking at the book.

Hiro didn't say a word. She just continued walking beside Dante.

"Come then. You and Joshua shall make fine company." Dante turned back and walked down the hill. He went to the other side of the vehicle and stepped in-- driver's seat. "...What are we going to do with the book...Aisling?" Joshua asked. He looked a bit sadly at the book, feeling as if it'd be killing them by ridding of the book. Even if Alexander's already gone.Margaret stepped into her motorcycle, started the ignition and latched her weapons to the right side. Anthea was on the sidecar in the left and Margaret began driving off, going anywhere but there.

"I guess we burn the book....even if it does kill Alexander..." Aisling said, sitting Joshua in between her and Hiro.

"You'll have to borrow some of my clothes Aisling...and you are still hurt. So is this one...I am sure we will find some clothes that will fit him." Hiro said, pointing down at Joshua.

"This is Joshua...Joshua...this is Hiro, the Scarlet Library. Hiro is more of an aquatintance..." Aisling said seriously.

"Where are we going Margaret?" Anthea asked, still holding onto Usagi.
