Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian~ The ‘Shadows' Case’ ~ [A 1x1 between Neko-chan and CloakedSchemerX]

Posted

-Introduction-
In England after World War I, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, has finished his travels with Dalian and is currently watching her in good health. Hal Kamhout and Flamberge have finished off most of the Phantom Books, but it is still unknown if any still exist. ‘Professor’ and Rasiel have not been seen after the printer-company incident. The girl from the archives still is held within Dalian and the archives are still to access. A new Biblioprincess has been chosen, with a new Key Keeper. After discovery of hundreds of more Phantom Books, what news reporters called ‘The Shadow Case’, has traumatized many villagers and the new, unknown Key Keeper is being called out by the Biblioprincess, The Shadow Case, will have to be taken care of, also the effects of The Shadow Case.

-‘The Shadow Case’-
The Shadow Case takes place of demoniac shadows that come in different forms, some even possessing humans. Effects of the Shadow case include these shadows becoming monsters, burning down towns, causing reverse effects that should not be held in this world. The world is going out of balance because of this case all because of Phantoms Books. That is where the Biblioprincess and Key Keeper come in.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYqg97kSGuA Lyrics:

Miku:

Still...You are...All alone..

The sky is so blue
If only you knew it
If only you knew it...ahh

Meiko:

Where am I?
Even though the sky is blue
What I see is burned sand and rock face

The winds howl
Even though the horizon is far away
I was moved

Dried lakes
Burning fields
Someday they all will get back on the track
So, now I go forward

Even to the far future
There is a way to link
So, do not turn around
We can go through it

Len:

For everybody
That's what they said but...

In the starless sky
Light is overflowing
Since when
Have we been deserted?

The ladder that reaches to the end of the sky
I can't ascend it
In the cold world, holding hands,
We live today as always
We're not lifeless

(Stars, falling stars)

Someone, please give me courage
To face forward without turning back
The iron giant should shake the earth,
Disturb the atmosphere and follow

Even so I'd rather go with someone laughing
Than living all alone
Kick the earth to get onto the atmosphere
Believing in a fate that I can meet you

I didn't really reply to Aisling, just glancing down at the book. There were probably other people loitering the place now, we surely didn't kill them all. He mainly looked out forward to the road as Dante drove, being a little awkward sitting right next to someone he didn't know.  "Um...hi,...Hiro." I muttered quietly after Aisling introduced us. "Um..." I didn't know much to say, still, being a little shy. "...Thank-you for shooting the chimera,...Dante." Dante smiled and continued driving. "Most obliged, but it was my pleasure." He responded. Margaret took a deep sigh. "......I don't know." She admitted, continuing driving anyway. "W-we'll find somewhere to go! Soon...."

After Dante made his comment, Aisling stared at Joshua.

"Drink the Panacea..." she said a bit demanding, but he was hurt worse then she was.

Hiro was being unusually silent.

Anthea looked up at Margaret and blinked twice.

"Are you worried or something?" she asked.

I looked up a bit nervously at Aisling. She always went demanding or mean at random times. I looked down at the Panacea after. I hesitated, since it had a rather bitter taste, but I drank it-- about half-ways. I then handed it to Aisling, "Sorry." I apologized. I went back to looking at the road as Dante drove. "No, Anthea...nothing's wrong, it's just...I have no idea where any places in this place are. Some are written in Dutch too." Margaret told Anthea. "There has to be somewhere we can stay."

"It is okay...I just want you to be okay...." Aisling said rather happily.

She drunk a bit of the Panacea a bit later. It was bitter, however the pain from her wound was relived.

'Today was tragic...me and Joshua were almost killed...and just so much happened...' Aisling thought.

"We COULD always steal a house like last time..." Anthea noted.

Dante and the others were almost at his home. The sun was already setting, leaving the horizon and sky a dim orange. "Aisling..." I muttered again. "...Um...nevermind." I said, changing my mind. I'd tell her later when we were at Dante's. He glanced back down at the Book of Torment too. Probably waiting for them to go outside to rip it, and maybe burn it at Dante's mansion's fireplace. "That's true. We might have to." Margaret agreed bluntly. "What's with you and the Scarlet Library anyways? You two go at it like cats and dogs."

Aisling looked a bit concerned at Joshua.

"Tell me later...I will listen." She said quietly to him.

"There are bedrooms upstairs...your sleeping arrangement is up to you..." Hiro said, crossing her arms and smiling at the sunset.

"Um....Hiro is really mean to me...she has been like that after the third day we met each other. I don't like her evil...she is really mean..." Anthea explained.

"Okay." I replied simply to Aisling and Hiro. The statement applied to both of them, it shouldn't really confuse them. Just then, the vehicle stopped, and parked. (Oh, we're here.) I thought to myself. "Welcome to my humble abode." Dante greeted. He stepped out of the car, and closed it behind him, locking his door. I grabbed the Book of Torture and waited for Aisling or Hiro to step out. "Dante seems mean too. But nice at the same time. I can't really explain it." Margaret said boringly. Nothing to do, no where to really go.

  • Author

Aisling opened the door, stepping out of the car, she helped Joshua out whom was soon fallowed by Hiro.

"This place is huge..." Aisling stated, losing onto Joshua's hand and grabbing the Book of Torture.

"Yes..." Hiro stated, waiting at the door fallowed by Aisling and Joshua.

"Maybe he is bipolar..." Anthea stated with a bored sigh.

I followed Aisling, after stepping out the car. Dante walked ahead and unlocked the door beside Hiro. He pushed open the large, heavy door, and stepped in. There was a small hallway-like entrance to keep the warmth of the home in and the cold of the outside...well, out. After only a few steps there was a small turn to the right, which stepped into the foyer and the living room. The kitchen was just behind the living room, each of which was large. The foyer was mostly bright red with gold rims and designs on furniture like couches and carpets. The kitchen was a sky-blue and gold, with some white here and there. Dante went ahead and started a fire in the fireplace, which already had its wood and logs inside. "You may burn the book whenever you wish." He said. "Make yourselves at home." I stepped in with awe at the large home. My eyes gazed evrywhere, from the elegant and unbelievably comfortable furniture to the giant golden chandelier above them. "It's even smaller on the outside than in...." I said. "It's a great home." I complimented t Dante. Along the walls were several bookcases of English books, while in the distance there was a small library room with more English books, with the inclusion of an entire row of books in Enochian. "I don't think he's bipolar." Margaret said. She stopped and parked the motorcycle in front of a motel, with a large flashing sign that literally said: MOTEL. "I doubt a place like this would be expensive. Come on, Anthea."

  • Author

Aisling smiled, letting go of Joshua's hand so he could go explore or do as he wish.

Aisling sat down on a rug near a fire, and beginning to tear the cover of the Book of Torture. After she ripped the cover, she threw it in the fire...until she ripped a couple of more pages, then throwing the book in the fire and watching it burn, thinking of Alexander the entire time.

She stayed in front of the fire. 'Why are such vile books granted to a bilioprincess?' she thought.

Aisling looked over to Joshua.

"Did you have something to tell me?" She asked, concerned.

Hiro had already wondered off into the kitchen.

"Yes, Margaret..." Anthea said, simply fallowing her keykeeper.

After finishing a curious examination of the foyer and living room, I sat down in front of the fire next to Aisling, watching sadly as the book burned. It wasn't only the traumatizing event earlier that made me gaze into the blaze, though. "...Oh, uh yeah." I mumbled, still staring into the fireplace, closely watching as the pages crippled and set abalze. The holes in the cover and pages that would sear up and would be used for the fire to expand. Even the embers that slowly flew up and apparently vaporized in midair, even some reaching Aisling and I. "Your grandparents...we still don't even know where they are, and..." I hesitated a slight bit. "...If we did go.with them...what if Isaac finds us?...Or a Phantom Book? Something could happen...something always happens...." I said. It was a hopeless insight for me to say, but it was true.

  • Author

Aisling was silent, simply watching the fire. She pulled a small, folded up piece of paper out of her pocket, handing it to Joshua.

"This is my grandparents note...it was sent after two days we sent it...Germany invaded one side of Poland...thankfully we are on the safe side...we had to pass two contries to get here. My grandparents lived on the side of Poland the Germany attacked...so Josh...I don't even know if they are alive anymore." she explained, backing up a bit from the blaze of the fire, pulling Joshua back a bit.

"However...if that happens...we fight. We fight until we take our last breaths...we will use the Bibliotheca if we have to...and if you are close to death, I will do anything in my will to save you...even if that means I have to destroy the library within me...killing myself...however...that would save you...a keykeeper cannot be killed if he doesn't have a reason to die...your reason would be me. A biblioprincess is always killed by her keykeeper...slowly." she said sadly.

Aisling gave a short yawn.

"I am getting tierd...please come upstairs with me...unless you are hungry..." Aisling plead.

I looked slightly down to the floor, speechless again. I could feel my eyes trying to water up again as well, but I held it back. "I'm...sorry, Aisling. didn't know...." I said a bit sadly. Dante had just walked in from the library room, staying quiet at the conversation. He walked around the foyer rather than through, going up the stairs and leaving Aisling's and Joshua's room open. They shares this room, but had seperate beds. For a spare room, it was rather large. Even the beds were large and somewhat high up. One was rimmed with red and had black sheets, the other rimmed with blue and white sheets. They basically showed the heterochromia in not just Dante's and Hiro's eyes, but his choice of opposite yet symmetrical colors in his home. Gold was the only real color there without an opposite.

"...But I'm not going to let you die. To me, just having you gone would be a worse punishment than my own death. I can't just lose you, you're my family. ...Sorry. Just please, don't use yourself to save me. I'd rather die with you than live without you." I finished. I exhaled a deep sigh, and stood up after Aisling. "I'll be up there with you. I don't think I can eat today." I said truthfully. I strolled slightly ahead and walked up the stairs, seeing a door to a spare room open. (Does Dante want us to use this room?) I thought. It was pretty big, and I'd be the only one in this house who would have to do a slight climb to reach the bed.

  • Author

Hopefully Joshua nor Aisling died. Aisling stood up, and began walking, fallowing Joshua's direction. Hiro had apperently made it upstairs already because she came in right after Aisling did. Hiro set some clothes on a small, long dresser against the wall opposite to the beds.

"There are some clothes for tonight. They should fit you guys." she said a bit bluntly.

"Whomever gets up first will come to my room, which is about five doors away on the same side as this room, and get the clothes for tomorrow." she said, then walking away.

Aisling gave a slight nod grabbing her nightclothes Hiro provided. They were not that different from what she wears at night. Without a word, Aisling opened the small door near the dresser that lead to a bathroom in which she got dressed in quickly. After that, Aisling stepped out, climbing into the distinct red and black bed...the one thing that decribed her keyhole.

"Good Night, Joshua." she said before sinking under the covers.

I walked up the stairs, barely making a realization. "Uh...hey, Aisling,...you don't happen to know where our stuff went after Isaac knocked us unconscious and took us to his mansion, do you?" I asked her as we walked up the stairs, clearly with an anxious tone. When we got to the room, the clothes for tonight were there, with Hiro strolling out the door. "Oh, thanks, Hiro." I said as she walked off. For some reason, her tone and use of words seemed like she'd be somewhat nice to us, yet, kind of sassy. I took the clothes and walked out the room door, following into a bathroom that was only about two doors away. I changed in there fairly quickly, the nightclothes fitting my size and being more pajamas than anything. They were a dark blue with some white at the neck. Even these looked a little formal for pajamas, but either way, they were comfortable. I walked back into the room, climbed the bed, and covered himself in the white and blue sheets. "Goodnight...." I said to Aisling. I wouldn't be able to sleep-- not tonight. But I could fake it.

  • Author

"No...I do not know..." Aisling mumbled, opening her eyes she stared at Joshua for about ten minuets.

"Joshua...you are acting like you did when the Germans attack us." she said bluntly.

Hiro threw a book against the wall, she hadn't gone to sleep yet.

"Why do these damned books end so stupidly?" she complained, falling back on her golden-red linen bed.

There was silence between Aisling and I for a little while after she spoke. The ten minutes of silence, I had just closed my eyes, as if I was sleeping-- or at least going to sleep. She broke the silence after a short while. (I wonder if she feels the same as I do right now...) I thought. "...What do you mean, Aisling?" I asked, somewhat whispering in an intentionally tiresome tone. A book being thrown against a wall made a thud sound through the hollow walls as I spoke too.

Dante's eyes trudged open at the sound of a book. (Hiro...? This, again.) Dante thought. His mask and monocle were off, with his red eye showing. He stepped ahead and walked out the room, in another robe he used for the nights. He went to Hiro's room and muttered not too loudly. "Hiro, you should sleep. Read so much and you'll awaken nauseous." Dante said. "Go to sleep...Hiro." He finished, walking back. He didn't enter Hiro's room and instead spoke at the door.

  • Author

"You aren't going to sleep....you are scared...It is obvious Joshua...you are always dazed when something that scares you happens..." Aisling said a sleepy tone.

There was a short period of silence again.

"Am I going to have to sleep beside you?" she asked, a bit quietly.

Hiro sighed after the command.

"Yes Dante...." she sighed, grabbing a simple red t-shirt and black shorts. Hiro was lazy when it came to what to wear at nights.

She soon blew out the single candle that lit her room, hiding herself under the red sheets, soon falling asleep.

"N-no, you don't need to, Aisling, really." I said quietly, but still stutteringly. "I don't think it can be helped either way though. Its hard to quit thinking too much in general for me, but I can't get any images out of me." I continued, still quietly. I turned and faced the wall from the bed. "...Goodnight, I hope. I'll...try."

Dante walked through the hall, stopping for a split second before the door where Aisling and Joshua were in. They talked right now, though it was quiet. He left to avoid accusation of eavesdropping, and he didn't stay long enough to know of the conversation, either way. He walked back to his room, soon sleeping deeply.

  • Author

"You better be serious Joshua..." Aisling whispered a bit rudely, turning around. She swore she heard Dante a second ago, however she was silent.

Soon enough, Aisling fell asleep.

(Short post........................)

We both turned around, facing the walls instead of eachother. Hiro's room was quiet as well now. Later, I heard the semi-silent but heavy breathing that people often do when asleep. (At least she can sleep.) I thought. I kept myself mostly covered by the sheets, sometimes keeping my eyes closed for a little while. (I really hope Aisling's grandparents are okay... she must be hurt inside too, right?) I continued thinking. I turned over silently, keeping my eyes shut. (And then there's Alexander...he didn't deserve to die again. Or, in the first place.) It was as if my mind was giving me excuses to stay awake. Always thinking of something, thoroughly.

  • Author

The night passed, even though Aisling had no idea if Joshua slept or not. However she was not the one whom first awoke. Hiro ran into the probably at 7:00, setting some more clothes down.

She was already dressed herself in a golden dress with a red bow to tie her hair into an uneven pony tail.

She left the two very distinct clothes. Joshua the blue and white, and Aisling red.

Soon after Hiro had left the clothes, I had feigned sleep a bit more. After around ten minutes, I woke up and took the formal blue and white clothing. I casually headed to the bathroom behind a convenient door in the room and locked it behind me. With such formal clothing, in a symmetrical yet opposite place like this, it felt as if Aisling and I could be Dante's children. After changing, I went out to the hall, wondering what to do now that I was awake.

Downstairs, the smell of many different foods filled the air to the brim with scrumptious breakfast meals. Quite a few eggs, a plateful of bacon, steaks, flapjacks, and waffles were all being cooked over the incredible golden colored stove. For the guests [And Hiro], it would be as if they slept over at a breakfast joint-- a restaurant.

Hiro came dashing down the stairs with the book she was 'reading'...more tossing around last night, it was in shreads. Pages were torn and the spine to the book was broke.

"Dante....my book broke..." she complained, setting it down on the table.

"It was a bad book anyway..." she sighed.

It was a while until Aisling awoke, feeling a bit guilty for yelling at Joshua last night. Seeing the clothes Hiro left her, Aisling went to go change without a word. It was a rather short dress...rather above the knees. It was alined with red frills around the bottom of the dress, and there were rather low short sleeves. There was also two stips of red straps crossed in an X for more support that wrapped met to the back of Aisling's back, and the dress was rather revealing of her back. Black knee high socks and small maroon slip on shoes. Dark maroon...that was the main color of this outfit. Aisling tied two thin, rather annoying strips of her hair back with a black ribbion, tying it in the back.

"This is only something Hiro would wear..." she said bluntly heading downstairs.

Hiro smiled at the sight of Aisling.

"Aww...I knew you would look cute in that dress..." she said with a rather dark, innocent laugh.

Dante turned around from the stove, looking at the sight on the table. "Hiro...." He semi-grumbled. He walked over to the broken book and held it. "It's almost completely illegible now." Dante stated. "Hiro, I've told you before: there shouldn't be any reading so late at night. Much less the fact that you throw them if you dislike the endings." He scolded Hiro, but not with a strict tone. "Perhaps I should finish that Enochian alphabet today. You'll have a hard time finishing them so swiftly."

I slowly walked down to the living room, and then to the kitchen where Hiro and Dante were. (So that's the thud from last night....) I thought after hearing Dante's and Hiro's conversation. "Ah, goodmorning, Joshua. Yours, Hiro's, Aisling's, and my breakfasts will all be prepared completely soon." Dante said calmly to me. "Uh...goodmorning, Dante. And...thank-you." I replied. In a little bit, Aisling came down in a black and maroom red dress. "Goodmorning, Aisling." Dante and.I both said.
