Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian~ The ‘Shadows' Case’ ~ [A 1x1 between Neko-chan and CloakedSchemerX]

Posted

-Introduction-
In England after World War I, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, has finished his travels with Dalian and is currently watching her in good health. Hal Kamhout and Flamberge have finished off most of the Phantom Books, but it is still unknown if any still exist. ‘Professor’ and Rasiel have not been seen after the printer-company incident. The girl from the archives still is held within Dalian and the archives are still to access. A new Biblioprincess has been chosen, with a new Key Keeper. After discovery of hundreds of more Phantom Books, what news reporters called ‘The Shadow Case’, has traumatized many villagers and the new, unknown Key Keeper is being called out by the Biblioprincess, The Shadow Case, will have to be taken care of, also the effects of The Shadow Case.

-‘The Shadow Case’-
The Shadow Case takes place of demoniac shadows that come in different forms, some even possessing humans. Effects of the Shadow case include these shadows becoming monsters, burning down towns, causing reverse effects that should not be held in this world. The world is going out of balance because of this case all because of Phantoms Books. That is where the Biblioprincess and Key Keeper come in.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYqg97kSGuA Lyrics:

Miku:

Still...You are...All alone..

The sky is so blue
If only you knew it
If only you knew it...ahh

Meiko:

Where am I?
Even though the sky is blue
What I see is burned sand and rock face

The winds howl
Even though the horizon is far away
I was moved

Dried lakes
Burning fields
Someday they all will get back on the track
So, now I go forward

Even to the far future
There is a way to link
So, do not turn around
We can go through it

Len:

For everybody
That's what they said but...

In the starless sky
Light is overflowing
Since when
Have we been deserted?

The ladder that reaches to the end of the sky
I can't ascend it
In the cold world, holding hands,
We live today as always
We're not lifeless

(Stars, falling stars)

Someone, please give me courage
To face forward without turning back
The iron giant should shake the earth,
Disturb the atmosphere and follow

Even so I'd rather go with someone laughing
Than living all alone
Kick the earth to get onto the atmosphere
Believing in a fate that I can meet you

"Ah--Good Morning...thank you Dante for breakfast and letting us stay here." Aisling said, sitting beside Joshua.

She gave him a curious look.

"Did you sleep last night? I didn't think you would." she asked him quietly.

Hiro sat beside Aisling, slightly eavesdropping on their conversation.

"My pleasure." Dante responded as I stood quiet for a few moments. It took me a short while to respond, but I did anyway. ".........N-no...." I quietly mumbled. She'd probably realize I might have lied, knowing me. But still, even now, she might be a little mad.

Margaret woke up soon. Her and Anthea were in a Motel room that really...sucked. It had a bedroom and a bathroom, both of which were small. But still, they were kind enough to give her and Anthea a room with a bunk bed rather than one, considering two regular beds would be overly sized. Margaret slept on the bottom bunk and woke up, hitting her head on the top one. "Goddammit...." Margaret complaint. She fell back on the mattress anyways, with nothing much to do.

Aisling sighed, looking at Joshua.

"I will let you sleep on our way to where my grandparents live..." she said with a small smile.

'He was terrified...I swear I am still trembling...I can't blame him...I just had nightmares all night...' she thought doubtfully.

Anthea's eyes snapped open as Margaret hit her head. She hed Usagi and lowered the rabbit down by it's remaining ear.

"Margaret! Are you okay?!" she made her rabbit seem to say however she was puppeting in, speaking in a really annoying voice.

I looked up at Aisling thoughtfully. (She's not.mad or anything...? Maybe she felt kind of the same...she got to know Alexander too.) I thought. "Breakfast is prepared. "Thanks, Aisling. I'll try to sleep." I said to Aisling, with an apologetic tone. What would you all like? Joshua? Aisling? Hiro?" Dante asked us each, with delicate black-rimmed white plates already ready to be served with food. Even the plates had golden angelic designs and symbols.

"I'm fine. ...Usagi." Margaret said with a grumpy and sarcastic voice.

"Ah--I can surve myself Dante...dont worry." Aisling said urgently.

She gave a slight smile to Joshua's statement.

"I want food Dante! Fix me what I usually have..." Hiro complained rudely.

"Good." Anthea said happily, climbing down from the top bunk, she sat down on the ground, playing with Usagi so it looked like the stuffed animal was dancing.

"Get up then." Anthea said with a smile.

"Mm-hmm, me too, I'll serve myself. But thank-you...!" I said to Dante. He smiled softly and served Hiro. It was about two sunny-side up eggs with several strips of bacon. On a seperate small plate was the steak-- cut up into smaller pieces to.swallow easier and not have to cut it herself. It was spoiling, but Dante didn't mind. He moved away from.the stove and the food and onto the fridge, "And what would you like to drink?" He asked, mainly to Hiro, but regarding the others ad well unless they wished to serve themselves still. "No, Dante, it's fine, I'll serve myself a drink too." I said. I walked over to the end of the kitchen and grabbed a plate, beginning to serve. The food was cooked nearly perfect and the mere smell could satisfy hunger, somehow.

When Anthea finally shut up for a few seconds, Margaret peacefully began closing her eyes. As soon as she opened her big *ss mouth again, Margaret bulged her eyes open and quickly reached behind the gap between the bed and the wall. Out came a scythe-gun of hers, whoch she threw to the floor by Anthea, thudding and slashing the floor. It appeared stuck in the ground now, at an angle. As often as this happened, Margaret easily had excellent aim and accuracy. Unless she tried to hit Anthea, that is. "Shut. Up. For five minutes."

Aisling soon fallowed Joshua, getting herself a light breakfast, and some ice-cold water, she sat down beside Hiro again as she looked over to Dante.

"Do you have any vanilla tea if you don't have mint tea?" she asked, a bit bored.

Anthea jumped back as the scythe almost cut her arm off.

She was silent, still playing with Usagi.

"So, what was that for? Amusement?" she asked rudely, hugging onto Usagi.

I went over to the stove as I served myself food. Mainly steak, eggs, and the bacon was for me here. I was never much a fn of flapjacks or waffles, actually. I also got a nice cup of warm, hot tea. Dante had a lot of it. I sat down on the table, the opposite side of Hiro and Aisling, facing them instead of being beside them. Dante served the cup of vanilla tea as well, before finally serving himself food. He actually had a small bit of everything. He also had tea-- warm Jade tea.

"Say something else. I dare you." Margaret intimidated Anthea. Wouldn't she get the hint?

  • Author

"Thank you Dante." Hiro said with a smile as she began eating.

Aisling gave a silent prayer before slowly beginning to eat.

A part of her wondered where Anthea and Margaret went...also why they helped her.

"Im sorry you didn't sleep good..." Anthea sighed, glaring at Margaret.

(I saw people cosplayed as Maka, Soul, Marie, and Death the Kid. I wanted to be Stein! Gaah)

I walked on to the table and set down my tea and breakfast. After quietly muttering a thanks to the Lord, I sat and began eating. (Why were the Germans after the Jews? For their religion?) I thought deeply in my mind. I slowly cut my meat meanwhile, occasionally but accidentally poking the mear with my fork as I thought. (Is that enough reason to wipe people off the Earth? Is that enough reason to kill someone like Alexander?) I still kept thinking. I cut the last piece and began picking at it with the fork. (This world is just...horrible. Worse than any other. They even lie to us about it all. Is life even worth living? Some people don't even live....) After a few more seconds I regained my sense of awareness and began eating. "Mm, thank-you, Dante. It tastes delicious." I told him. I took a sip of tea to clear my mind a tad bit. And to fulfill thirst, of course.

Margaret quickly got out of bed and forcefully backslapped Anthea. "What the f*ck is wrong with you today?!" She yelled.

(Gomen nasai Schemer!)

Soon enough, Aisling finished first, standing up, she put away her plate and walked back, sitting beside Joshua.

"So, where do you want to go since we're not staying here with Hiro and Dante..." She asked, staring at him.

Hiro stared at Aisling with a grim look on her face.

Anthea gritted her teeth as Margaret slapped her. She grabbed her keykeeper arm, twisting it.

"What was that for?! Nothing is wrong with me!" Anthea snapped.

I looked up to Aisling as I was taking my last few scrumptious bites. I gulped down a piece of steak. "I don't know, Aisling. Maybe...we should look for your grandparents. That is, kind of why we came here...." I told her. I said it slightly grimly and dully though. I looked to Hiro too, looking grim as well. I then just continued to eat.

Margaret winced a small bit, not expecting Anthea to do anything back. She twisted her wrist just enough to grab Anthea's arm and twist ANTHEA'S arm now. "Then what are you doing trying to fight back and talking like a TOTAL B*TCH TO ME?!" Margaret snapped.

  • Author

(Dying of laughter because of Margaret! xD)

Anthea kicked Margaret's stomach, making her Keykeeper let go of her.

"Maybe if you shut up and not cuss me out all the time then I won't bug the hell out of you!" she yelled.

Aisling nodded.

"Yes...I shouldn't have asked that...." she said embarrassed.

"Kon to Kuro...why are you so naïve?" Hiro said quietly.

Aisling stared at Hiro rather suprised.

(Right. I totally meant that to be funny.)

I continued eating, and looked a bit surprisingly to Hiro's snarky comment. Dante looked over as well as he ate, except confusedly and curiously instead. Both decided to keep out of the conversation though. Who knows? It could end up women's talk.

Margaret stepped in front of Anthea, and quickly pulled her by the arm towards her, which caused her to fall to the floor. It was basically a sweep. "Shut. The f*ck up." Margaret commanded.

  • Author

Aisling didn't respond to Hiro, instead she was silent.

"Stop Margaret!" Anthea yelled, hitting Margaret with Usagi before standing up, she started walking out the door.

"If you're going to be an a** hole then I'm running again, to Hiro and Aisling." She snapped, running out.

Aside from Dante's and Joshua's occasional eating, moments of silence ruled the time-being. Soon Dante broke it. "Hiro. You shouldn't say such insults to our guests." He told Hiro. "Aisling, Joshua, wherever and whenever you wish for me.to accompany you towards your next destination, just let me know and I will escort you there." Dante told Hiro and Joshua now. "Thank-you...again, Dante." Joshua said to him, finishing his last bite and rinsing off the plate by the sink afterwards.

"F*ck her. Again." Margaret complaint. She twirled the motorcycle keys in her fingers and grabbed her stuff, again. She headed out the door and onto the motorcycle, again, ready to find Anthea across the random streets. Again.

  • Author

Aisling stood up.

"No, we should get their fine. Thank you though." She said.

Aisling made her way to Joshua, grabbing onto his hand.

"Since nothing of ours is here, we shall be leaving. Goodbye." She stated, beginning to walk out.

"Bye Aisling." Hiro said and stared at her and Joshua like a creeper as they left.

"Kon to Kuro is gone." She smirked.

Aisling looked down at Joshua.

"Sorry that took so long...tell me if you are scared about anything okay Joshua...I know you didn't sleep last night...I really didn't either...nightmares." She said, looking away from him now.

Anthea began towards the back routes, she imminently stopped at the sight of Aisling and Joshua far off.

Without a word, she began dashing towards them.

"Aisling! Margaret is being mean to me!!" She complained.

Aisling wasn't surprised however noticed something rather abusive, a red mark on Anthea's face.

"She slapped you?!" Aisling asked, staring at Anthea.

She nodded.

I looked up at Aisling, wondering if she was planning on.walking somewhere she might not know the exact location of. "Okay...bye Dante; bye Hiro." I said with a small wave goodbye. I didn't notice Hiro's unnerving stare, but felt it a tad bit. "I might be able to sleep if we end up on a long trip." I told Aisling as we walked down later.

Dante looked at Hiro curiously. "Were you not the one whom wished for them to be here, Hiro? You were quite rude on occasions." Dante said to Hiro as he rinsed off his plate.

My eyes were already dreary and red from tiredness, barely noticing Anthea when she ran up to us. "Uh, Anthea, what happened? Did she slap you for a reason?" I asked her, examining the red mark. Before entering her motorcycle, Margaret could see Anthea, Aisling, and I conversating. "Ugh. This won't be pleasant." Margaret complaint. She walked up to the group, focused on Anthea. "Anthea, come on back. I'm not going to yell at you or force you to come back." Margaret said. Who knew what Aisling would say to defend Anthea....

  • Author

"Margaret..." Aisling begun, looking up at the older of the three whom where there.

"Do you have to be so rude to Anthea? She is rather young and that is almost like child abuse do you not understand? Leave her alone. It is unreasonable for her to be running away all the time." Aisling snapped.

Anthea still hid behind Aisling.

"You threw your scythe at me almost killing me, you know that right?" Anthea said in a normal tone.

Aisling was obviously pissed off.

Hiro nodded.

"You know I don't like Aisling or Anthea....their not my friends...sure that sounds rude but it is true." She said seriously.

Margaret grumbled in her head. She KNEW it'd come to this when she saw Aisling. "Anthea. Don't exaggerate, you know I missed with the scythe on purpose." She said bluntly. She clearly had a tone of being pissed off but trying not to take it out on someone else. "And Aisling, you're BOTH young. If Anthea acts like she does with me but in real life, she'll get her *ss chopped off and handed to her. If she doesn't get the discipline she needs she won't grow up knowing what to do. You'll have to understand too, Aisling, but you're not as bratty." Margaret said boldly, and a little loudly. "I'm practically her mother at this point. I care for her and buy her what she needs, so I'll discipline when she needs to be disciplined." The whole conversation, Joshua just kind of stood quietly in the backgound. He looked at his key for a few seconds as he could just picture the differences between his and Aisling's key and keyhole. He glanced at Anthea's keyhole, to make sure whether or not it was similar....

Dante was unfazed and not too surprised by Hiro, but, still... it seemed rather strange. "Well then, Hiro, why would you invite them over?" Dante asked curiously. He finished washing the dishes and dried his hands. "Don't tell me it was for Joshua." Dante said sarcastically, as a quick little joke to chuckle over.

  • Author

(Love you too Margret *SARCASM*)

Aisling growled under her breath, gripping onto Joshua's hand, she looked to Anthea once more before walking off.

"WHAT! AISLING YOU'RE JUST GOING TO LEAVE ME??!!" Anthea yelled.

Aisling gave a nod before walking off again.

"Betrayer..." she sighed.

"So MOM, aren't you going to drag me back HOME?!" Anthea snapped.

Hiro looked at Dante sharply.

"You will never know Dante..." she said blunty.

(She hates your character's guts though *LITERAL*)

I simply followed Aisling without a word. Whatever was going on seemed kind of tense and serious though. (No...it doesn't match her's either. Not even Hiro's. I wonder....) Joshua glanced at his key and Aisling's keyhole one more time. They had...some similarities. Differences were abundant too though.

"What do you WANT me to do, Anthea?! Let you go with Aisling, just to get dissected or whatever the Hell Isaac was going to do to them?!" Margaret asked Anthea. Margaret was just on the edge.

Dante scoffed with a "Hmph." and walked off into the library.

  • Author

"Hey, are you okay?" Aisling asked, a bit concerned looking at Joshua.

She stared at his drowsy eyes, filling her with sympathy. Without a word, she pulled Joshua to her side, picking him up.

"If you need to, then you can fall asleep...we will be their later..." She said, now looking ahead.

"I want respect Margaret. I don't want you cussing me out every day...I don't want you to be swinging scythes at me...I don't want you threatening me...you're not acting like a good mother Margaret...you need to be nicer..." Anthea said, tears staring to flow down her face.

"I'm fine, Aisling. Just...thinking...." I said. Still pretty drowsily. By then, Aisling had picked me up in.her arms again though. I felt ratger contradictory. My mind was saying: Don't let her! Go to sleep later! whereas my body was relieved and saying: Ah, now I can finally sleep. Before I could decide, my eyes weighed down and I soon fell asleep with my head resting against Aisling's shoulder.

Margaret brushed her front hair back, as if to relieve stress. She sighed deeply too. "Okay, fine. Just tell me if you feel like slapping the sh*t out of me so I don't have to deal with this again." Margaret grumbled. "Let's go then. Who knows where."

(I have brownies! It took forever for them to be cooked....)

Aisling couldn't help but to a blush to appear on her face. She looked down at him for a minute, then looking at the road in front of her.

"Maybe somewhere decenter...if we half to, we'll go back to our 'home' overseas..." Anthea said to Margaret, looking at her sharply.

Hiro sighed, fallowed Dante, looking up at him.

"Do you have that alphabet for me?" she asked.
