Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian~ The ‘Shadows' Case’ ~ [A 1x1 between Neko-chan and CloakedSchemerX]

Posted

-Introduction-
In England after World War I, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, has finished his travels with Dalian and is currently watching her in good health. Hal Kamhout and Flamberge have finished off most of the Phantom Books, but it is still unknown if any still exist. ‘Professor’ and Rasiel have not been seen after the printer-company incident. The girl from the archives still is held within Dalian and the archives are still to access. A new Biblioprincess has been chosen, with a new Key Keeper. After discovery of hundreds of more Phantom Books, what news reporters called ‘The Shadow Case’, has traumatized many villagers and the new, unknown Key Keeper is being called out by the Biblioprincess, The Shadow Case, will have to be taken care of, also the effects of The Shadow Case.

-‘The Shadow Case’-
The Shadow Case takes place of demoniac shadows that come in different forms, some even possessing humans. Effects of the Shadow case include these shadows becoming monsters, burning down towns, causing reverse effects that should not be held in this world. The world is going out of balance because of this case all because of Phantoms Books. That is where the Biblioprincess and Key Keeper come in.

-Author’s Note-

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYqg97kSGuA Lyrics:

Miku:

Still...You are...All alone..

The sky is so blue
If only you knew it
If only you knew it...ahh

Meiko:

Where am I?
Even though the sky is blue
What I see is burned sand and rock face

The winds howl
Even though the horizon is far away
I was moved

Dried lakes
Burning fields
Someday they all will get back on the track
So, now I go forward

Even to the far future
There is a way to link
So, do not turn around
We can go through it

Len:

For everybody
That's what they said but...

In the starless sky
Light is overflowing
Since when
Have we been deserted?

The ladder that reaches to the end of the sky
I can't ascend it
In the cold world, holding hands,
We live today as always
We're not lifeless

(Stars, falling stars)

Someone, please give me courage
To face forward without turning back
The iron giant should shake the earth,
Disturb the atmosphere and follow

Even so I'd rather go with someone laughing
Than living all alone
Kick the earth to get onto the atmosphere
Believing in a fate that I can meet you

(I have a much much much much better Enochian dictionary, but I don't want to give you a link you have to download to see. So make due)

Dante grabbed a book from the shelf in the Foyer. An English-Enochian or Enochian-English dictionary. Not the best, but...probably not the worst. He also held a slip of paper in his hand, to which he handed over to Hiro.

Posted Image

"That will only tell you how to read, write, and pronounce Enochian words. You'll need the actual definitions too, so take this:"

"That is an Enochian and English dictionary." Dante said and scoffed. "Now, then. Good luck reading." He glanced over at the Enochian library room and gave Hiro the Enochian and English dictionary, soon walking off into the Enochian library.

"No. Going back home is too expensive to waste. We'll stay. Somewhere." She said. She began walking to the motorcycle, twirling her keys again as her scythes were latched onto her back. She didn't have to do any crazy pole flips and tricks to get to Anthea this time. The damned brat, last time....

"Thank you Dante!" Hiro said happily, fallowing him.

She grabbed a really random book, laying the dictionary down, laying down the paper, opening the book and slowly beginning to translate.

"Are you sure?" Anthea asked, skipping ahead she hopped in the side car with Usagi.

"...Also...do you think we'll see Kon to Kuro again?" she asked.

Aisling walked at a rather steady pace, being careful with Joshua in her arms. She stopped at the sight of a couple of Nazi soulders looking around for "Imperfects". Aisling quickly hid down an ally way, behind a building, trying to hide.

She was a biblioprincess even though she was so pure looking. Surely if anyone knew of this...she AND her keykeeper would be captured. Aisling wouldn't let Joshua go again.

Dante smiled faintly and continued walking to the library. He glanced at Hiro's book. "Ah, yes. The tale of a human who made flyable, angslic wings out of wax, somehow. Before the invention was shown to others, the human flew to the sun, in belief of it being the heavens. Before getting close enough, he burned to a crisp and came crashing down to Earth. Such are those who try to be one being they're not, and will never be: a God.)

"I'm sure. And we'll see Aisling again. Some time." Margaret told Anthea. She rode off with the motorcycle into the horizon, perspectively at least.

  • Author

Hiro threw the book at Dante, getting up and grabbing another one before sitting down again.

"Thanks Dante..." she said sarcastically, opening it.

She gave her keykeeper a glare before translating.

As the soilders moved closer, Aisling held onto Joshua, hiding his right hand and covering her keyhole with Joshua's body, holding him so he was on her side now, she got up and began walking off. Thank god they didn't stop her...soon they would be there. Soon.

(That was actually supposed to be him thinking. I messed up :P but whatever)"My pleasure, Hiro." Dante replied sarcastically. He opened up a book of his own and casually read through. "Please don't throw these books too, though, Hiro, they're much more expensive." Dante said across the room. He casually sipped his tea and read along the title and content.(Really short post....)

Hiro sighed, shaking her head.

"Sorry, Great Lord Book." she said, joking around some.

It must had been a long time until Aisling finally found her grandparents house. Hating herself, she placed a hand on Joshua's shoulder, not entering the house yet.

"Joshua...come on...wake up for now, okay? We'll get you a place to sleep in no time..." she said, shaking him some.

"It's okay, Hiro. Just don't do it again." Dante said, once again taking sarcasm sarcastically, if that makes sense. My eyes slowly and heavily trudged open. He quickly had the urge to go back to sleep, and his eyes almost weighed down completely on him. "Unh..." He complaint, as most kids and teens did in mornings right after waking up. "...Okay." He said, forcing his eyes to stay up every few seconds as they came down on him. "Are we here...?"

  • Author

Aisling nodded, feeling a bit guilty for waking Joshua up.

"You'll be able to sleep again, okay? And yes, we are here..." She said, petting Joshua's head for a second.

"Sorry I had to wake you up..." She said, pulling him up to prevent Joshua from slipping off of her.

Hiro gave a nod, laughing a bit, beginning to translate some more.

"It's okay, Aisling..." I barely uttered out to her as I looked only slightly ahead with my heavy, tiresome blue eyes. Despite it, they still seemed to shine a little bluer in the sunlight. (This is her...grandparents' house? I can hardly wait to see them...some of Aisling's family....) I thought to myself, rubbing my eyes of the sand that forms when they're closed.

Aisling smiled a bit, reaching into one of the dress pockets she found a key, a golden, old looking key that was.

"Here is their key..." She said seriously, beginning to walk towards the brown door of the rather small home.

Aisling without a word unlocked the door, letting her and Joshua in. Aisling sat Joshua down, she gave a smile.

"Hey! It's me, Aisling! Great news!" She called.

There was silence.

"Hellooo?" Aisling said, getting a bit worried.

She looked down at Joshua, fear in her eyes.

I couldn't help but to smile as soon as Aisling did. It gave a warm-hearted essence and aura to me, influencing me to feel happy. It gave me comfort and warmth. I had a plethora of mansions in life. My parents were pretty darn rich too, but they still worked hard. Then, after the streets of course, came Aisling, who had a really nice mansion-- a bit reminiscent of my parents' place too. Then Isaac's, darker and terrifying with the zombified subjects loitering about. But Alexander was nice there. And finally Dante, who probably lived in the fanciest, most symmetrical and golden place on Earth. Probably.

Here, however, was a much smaller territory. I didn't mind of course, it felt more safe and not as open, as if for random people to smash through a window and leave it breezing through the foyer for about a week. But yes...it was cozier, a bit warmer, and just felt...safer.

My eyes dotted around the place, examining the living room and kitchen as I sat down calmly. My tiresome eyes still weighed down though, but gradually came a bit lighter as I was only slightly more awake. I looked up to the hollow ceiling that yielded an echo with noise throughout the home. Aisling's calls came more desperate. And just as her smile, her fearful expression of the unknown influenced my own, becoming sadder and desperate. I didn't speak; I wanted for her grandparents to instead. Please....

(Im alive, the east side of my county is getting hit with a tornado...)

Aisling bit her lip, meeting her eyes with Joshua. She began walking further into the house just as her calls became more frantic.

"Hello!!" she called nervously.

She finished looking around, walking back at a slow pace into the foyer, tears running down her face.

"Their gone Joshua...They are not here..." she said quitely, sitting down beside Joshua.

(However, there is another line of storms coming here *sigh*)

(Oh, weather. The only thing I'm worried for here is freaking Yellowstone. [No hard feelings, Yellowstone....!])

"No... the house isn't torn or blown up in any way... there's no sign of anything... they have to be...somewhere, right?" I asked with little, but almost no hope left in it all. I stood up myself, looking around everywhere, from room to room. I had clear sympathy. My eyes grew a bit.of water and would soon...flood. But I could only imagine how Aisling feels. After all... I haven't felt what she has, since...three years ago.

  • Author

(pfft...Yellowstone...)

Aisling was silent, standing up, she embraced Joshua when beside him.

"They probably came and took them away...they are probably both in the Consentration Camps..." she said sadly.

"If we are found by the Germans, we will be put in the same place. Even though you and I are so pure looking, you are a keykeeper...and I am a Biblioprincess....we will be killed first." Aisling said, looking down at him.

(Pfft? Its. A. Volcano.)

I sat back down slowly and sorrowfully, clinging onto Aisling's sidearm as the both of us silently cried. "Aisling...." I said to her. The room felt far from safe now. It felt not just dangerous, but grieving. The place itself now emitted a feeling of grief and sadness. "Aisling...why....?" I finally asked. I had kept the question in me for a while, as did many people I could imagine. Like...Alexander. "Why, Aisling, why...does this happen? Why are the Germans killing us all? We...we must have done something awful for them to get like this...."

  • Author

Aisling didn't respond at first, she looking at Joshua for a second.

"I don't know...I can't tell why just by sight...we did nothing. We are simply doing what we are supposed to. Before our town was bombed, there were many cases of the Phantom Books. Afterwards, I have not seen another Shadows Case..." She said quietly.

"We didn't do anything...Poland was trying to expand...so they take over this place?!" Aisling said, getting rather mad.

I still stood blankly as I cried and clinged onto Aisling. There was silence, but tears still flowed amongst the quietude. (They...did they...take them...?) I thought. I made a realization quite suddenly as well. My tears stopped flowing, but not from happiness. Just of thought. (Was...was it the Germans...? Was it the Germans...that burned my house...a-and killed...my parents...? Was it them...?!) My tears flowed again, violently as I sobbed and sobbed at the thought.

  • Author

Aisling pet the top of Joshua's head while hugging him.

"Joshua...we can do nothing about it and sometimes that mere thought drives me insane..." She said, tears stopped flowing down her face.

She stared at the glove on Joshua's right hand, her eyes growing sad at the thought that under that small piece of cloth, there was a mark that could not be erased until she died.

"Aisling...what now? We don't have anywhere to go...." My tears still flowed, but not as violently as it did just a few moments ago. But still...we didn't really have anyone. We had each other, and almost no one else...it's been like that for a long time. For years before we had met, even. But now...Aisling was like a sister, maybe even a mother. The world to me, I just couldn't go on if I lost her."We don't even have much to do...most of the money was in the bags and cases that Isaac took."

  • Author

Aisling looked at Joshua, not really knowing what to do or say.

"Joshua...We still need to—" she was cut off by a short little laugh.

Aisling turned to the corner which the laugh came from, a small little girl with two brown, short pigtails and wearing a purple dress stood in the corner, her eyes black and red.

"Have you come to play with me Biblioprincess and the sad little Keykeeper..." The little demonic girl said.

This girl was possessed by a Phantom Book.

Aisling picked Joshua up, about to run until he was ripped out of her arms by small dolls with eyes with no pupils.

"My dolls will stop you...have fun trying to get your little Key back..." The little girl said, walking over and snatching the Key from Joshua's pocket.

In a second, the girl was gone again and her laughing could be heard down a hall...and with the girl, Aisling vanished too.

(OKAY. So I just say that he can hardly go on without her, and right after, she's gone? What the Hell...!)

The demonic laugh of the little girl quickly sent a chill down my spine. It was not only chilling, but paralyzing. The kind of unparalleled fears in only the deptha of your strongest nightmares. Even behind the laugh of the girl that belonged to the Exorcist, I could hear a faint notion of tears and sorrow that simply begged for freedom of mind and will. The girl trapped behind the possession of the Phantom Book cried and plead out which no one would hear past the stricken fear of the phantasmal demon. "Ais--Aisling...!" I plead out somewhat quietly with all the events happened. As soon as the girl took my key I ran after her-- until she disappeared in an instant. "What...? Where did-- Aisling...?!" I looked behind me, Aisling was gone just as well. My legs shivered and nearly fell with it's weakness. It wobbled and my hands were loose and trembling. "Aisling! Aisling!!" I continually yelled. I unsheathed my kunai in case, looking out for a split second to the hall where the noise came from. (I'm not afraid of her...I'm NOT afraid of her...! Not after Isaac and Alexander....) After a quick thought, I ran down the hall.

  • Author

(The girl is POSSESSED! She took Aisling with her and hid her because she HEARD THE ENTIRE CONVERSATION...now it is Sodom's turn to be evil!)

The little girl flustered at hearing Joshua behind her.

"You are truly loyal to her...It is rather amazing actually. You're not only loyal to her...but I guess that I could say that you love her. Not as a sister...because she is not your sister, and she is not your mother. I also do not believe you love Aisling as a friend either...you love her Joshua Akira. That is why you call her name...that is why you came here with her. I know you do Joshua...your actions in the last couple of minutes decided so." she said, trying to trip Joshua up by telling him the possible truth.

The room was dark where Aisling was. It must have been a back closet by the look of what she could see and feel. She could hear Josh's yells just fine.

Aisling reached for the handel of the door. It was however locked from the outside.

"Joshua!!" she yelled, about to call again, however she was cut off because of not one, but many of the little girls dolls.

I continued running, somewhat trying to ignore the possessed girl. But...I couldn't. I couldn't even tell if she was right. Did I love her? Or did I really just love her as family? I...don't know. I don't know...what love feels like, what it is. I just...don't know if I love Aisling. But I kept on running anyway, clenching my kunai tighter and tighter. "Just...shut up!" I yelled at the demonic girl. "Just tell me...! Tell me where Aisling is!" I yelled. Tears flowed once more. "What...what do you even want!?"

  • Author

"What do I want?" the girl asked.

Her eyes switched from red to a normal blue and her voice changed into a frightened, childish voice.

"I want to be freed of it! Help—" the softer, real side of the girl was cut off by the Phantom Book.

"Damn it...god...just go to f*cking h*** you god d**ned little girl!" the demonic form of the girl yelled.

The girl was silent for a moment, controling two dolls, they ripped the kunai out of Joshua's hand.

The key to Aisling was slid back to Joshua, the little girl crossing her arms.

"Find her then if you're so urgent to see her".

One of the possessed dolls was called over by the girl.

"Destroy Aisling..." she whispered to the doll. The doll nodding soon after then vanishing.

The small possessed creatures pulled on Aisling, scratching at her until the doll the little girl sent appeared in the place.

In a second, all of them hovered around Aisling and their arms extended like something you'd see in a nightmare, then they ripped into Aisling's fleash by little claws.

"Joshua!!!" Aisling screamed for help, clenching her eyes shut in pain as she bleed and her blood being absobed by the dolls.

The little girl laughed at Aisling's scream.

"Good luck finding her...you beter be quick..she isn't that far." she said.

Now it was more real-- I could see the fear and pain in the girl's eyes as she switched. Once again, something seen during an exorcism. I felt sympathy for the girl, but I had Aisling subconsciously prioritized. (I'm sorry...I'll try to find the Phantom Book, but... I need to find Aisling first...) I thought. After taking the key, I ran with an extra kunai [i had a few, actually], hearing Aisling's yells now. "Aisling! Where are you?!" I called back. I began following the sound, but there were a few doors in this hall. One by one, I went through the rooms, seeing nothing, but hearing Aisling's yelling and the dolls' clawing elsewhere.
