Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian~ The ‘Shadows' Case’ ~ [A 1x1 between Neko-chan and CloakedSchemerX]

Posted

-Introduction-
In England after World War I, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, has finished his travels with Dalian and is currently watching her in good health. Hal Kamhout and Flamberge have finished off most of the Phantom Books, but it is still unknown if any still exist. ‘Professor’ and Rasiel have not been seen after the printer-company incident. The girl from the archives still is held within Dalian and the archives are still to access. A new Biblioprincess has been chosen, with a new Key Keeper. After discovery of hundreds of more Phantom Books, what news reporters called ‘The Shadow Case’, has traumatized many villagers and the new, unknown Key Keeper is being called out by the Biblioprincess, The Shadow Case, will have to be taken care of, also the effects of The Shadow Case.

-‘The Shadow Case’-
The Shadow Case takes place of demoniac shadows that come in different forms, some even possessing humans. Effects of the Shadow case include these shadows becoming monsters, burning down towns, causing reverse effects that should not be held in this world. The world is going out of balance because of this case all because of Phantoms Books. That is where the Biblioprincess and Key Keeper come in.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYqg97kSGuA Lyrics:

Miku:

Still...You are...All alone..

The sky is so blue
If only you knew it
If only you knew it...ahh

Meiko:

Where am I?
Even though the sky is blue
What I see is burned sand and rock face

The winds howl
Even though the horizon is far away
I was moved

Dried lakes
Burning fields
Someday they all will get back on the track
So, now I go forward

Even to the far future
There is a way to link
So, do not turn around
We can go through it

Len:

For everybody
That's what they said but...

In the starless sky
Light is overflowing
Since when
Have we been deserted?

The ladder that reaches to the end of the sky
I can't ascend it
In the cold world, holding hands,
We live today as always
We're not lifeless

(Stars, falling stars)

Someone, please give me courage
To face forward without turning back
The iron giant should shake the earth,
Disturb the atmosphere and follow

Even so I'd rather go with someone laughing
Than living all alone
Kick the earth to get onto the atmosphere
Believing in a fate that I can meet you

Aisling gave a somewhat noticeable sigh, before going off, door-to-door in the house, trying to find something I guess. I didn't question. A bedroom I suppose, but I was a little surprised we were staying here— where Nazi's had apparently come beforehand. She called me over to a room and I stood up, strolling towards there at a moderately slow pace. "We should probably stay here...only for today." I told Aisling seriously as I walked in. I jumped into one of the beds, draping myself into the sheets and blankets.

  • Author

"Joshua...you're really boring..." Aisling complained, sitting on the edge of the other bed.

"We will probably have to go back to England now...how boring..." she said a bit childishly, falling back on the bad, she slid herself in the sheets, tying herself up with them again.

"Joshua...you're embarrassed because of your feelings...it is rather funny actually..." Aisling said quietly, but loud enough for him to hear.

"A lot's happened, Aisling. What do you want me to do to be less boring?" I asked Aisling from across the room. It's not like I could crack a joke, or at least one that would be funny. "A lot of stuff's happened and we just got here, to Poland. England, or at least in our town, just has a bunch of..." I stopped mid-sentence. I stiffened up, expecting something to be thrown at me just from saying the word. I cleared my throat. "...brothels." I said, gulping a bit too. I turned in the sheets followed by Aisling's next statement. Just thinking about what happened gave a blush on my face, but I was turned to the wall so Aisling couldn't see it. "...Why is it so funny, Aisling???"

  • Author

Aisling about threw the closest thing to her at Joshua mentioning brothels again.

"I'm not moving Joshua...you should know that..." she mumbled.

"It is rather cute...and that is the funny thing..." Aisling said quietly.

(SORRY SCHEMER....I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO POST...)

I blocked my face with my arms as she threw whatever she did throw. "Ow...!" I complaint. In truth, it didn't hurt, but I had a bad habit of saying ow when something hit me, even if it doesn't hurt. "Sorry, Aisling...." I muttered. Since I had blocked myself from something thrown at me, I was facing Aisling with my redness gone again, still pale though. I was still draped in the blankets and sheets though, mainly just my face was the only feature of me not covered. "Well...I'll take that as a compliment— AND an insult." I said bluntly as I turned and let the sheets fall down over me. "

  • Author

(I didn't make Aisling throw anything...but oh well...)

Aisling turned around, avoiding eye-contact.

"Sorry Joshua..." she said, feeling a bit guilty.

Aisling fell silent, teirdness taking over her eyes.

"Sorry, Keykeeper." she said, soon falling into a silent sleep.

(Oh I guess I read it wrong, then)

My eyes weighed down more and I was certainly tired, but I couldn't help but to feel guilt just for Aisling apologizing simply like that. I don't know why. But still...there was nothing much to say now, considering she was just about asleep. I didn't want to disturb her, so I didn't— instead just going on with a meager feeling of guilt. But it was gone soon, falling asleep in a short few more minutes.

  • Author

(I hate it when you do this to me Joshua...)

*cue SpongeBob boring voice*

-Three Hours Later-

By the freat of a nightmare, Aisling awoke, grimaceing at not afternoon light, but evening light.

She rolled over, twisting sheets around her again as the odd feeling of it being evening and not morning came over her, Was Aisling getting up any time soon? No. Obviously she was still teird.

(It never gets old. My teacher can do that voice.)

I continued sleeping. I had felt no dream this night, none that k could remember at least. My slumber was quiet and peaceful, which was unusual for everything that had been going on. The Nazi's, Isaac, and that phantom.

A bit before Aisling had awoken, a large automobile drove by the house they were in. A box arrived at the doorstep with this house's address written on top.

  • Author

Aisling couldn't help but to just stare at Joshua. He looked so innocent and frail, especially at this state. Aisling shook her head to get rid of these thoughts. What was she thinking? Did she really have the same feelings as Joshua? She practically rolled herself out of the bed, standing up. In a dazed state, she began walking out, in search for something to do. Something caught her eye. Aisling stared at the sight of a box at the door. Without a word, she placed her hand on the nob of the front door, quickly opening the door, she grabbed the box and shit the door again in a matter of seconds. It was addressed to here, and she was the slightest bit nervous to figure out what was inside the box that showed up oddly late to this house. Aisling placed the box on the table, magaging to break the seal of the box, she opened it to see...

(COME ON SCHEMER...I NEED YOUR HELP HERE...)

(I know. Its not like anyone else could post here to keep you curious.)

...the first thing was a letter in the box. It was actually a rather large box. Behind the letter held various cases and bags. The note was a pretty crappy paper but the writing was fairly neat. It read:

To: Aisling Tornin and Joshua Akira

You both seem to have left all your stuff at my place. Luckily, I managed to figure out where you both were. It wasn't hard. Keep that in mind, I suppose.

From: Isaac Ghiral

The cases and bags held everything Isaac had gotten from Joshua and Aisling when they were kidnapped. They had all their stuff back. But the news wasn't a joyous occasion now.

  • Author

(I WOULD NEVER THINK I WOULD BE STALKED ON A ROLEPLAY...)

Aisling had imminent panic rise, gripping the letter in her hand after reading it.

"Ya, and you won't know for long either..." Aisling grumbled for herself.

She shoved the note in her pocket, grabbing the luggage.

Barging into the room Joshua was in, she sat the bags down, walking over to the bed her was laying on.

"Joshua! Isaac knows where we are...unless you want to die I would get up right now..." She sighed.

I slowly got up, rubbing my eyes for a few seconds, then yawning and stretching. I looked up to Aisling cluelessly and tiresomely. "Huh?" I had heard what she said, but I was tired and my thought process ran a little slower before I caught on. "Oh...! Wait...is he here? How do you know?" I asked. I trudged out of the bed and saw the cases. "Oh, nevermind." I decided. I got my bags and cases and walked out the room. I had absolutely nothing else. "Welp, I guess we have to head out." I said. It was a tad...or rather, extremely nonchalant, but I was tired and could hardly tell a bowl of soup from a raisin right now.

  • Author

"We also received a letter...." Aisling said, handing Joshua the letter and then picking him up without warning.

"You're still tired...we will have to head over to Hiro's...." She said, again with a sigh.

Aisling grabbed her luggage, walking out of the room, and soon the house into the dark dusk.

"We need to hurry or we'll be caught..." Aisling mumbled.

I glanced at the letter. It was a tad tarnished, as if held quite abruptly, whether or not our box of stuff was labeled FRAGILE or not. "I guess we can go to Hiro's. I don't think Dante would mind...but...it is getting kind of dark...." I said. It was clearly fearfully, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I was at Isaac's or when Aisling disappeared back with the demonic girl. The Nazi's could be out patrolling, this town might have a curfew, Isaac might be waiting for us, ANYTHING could happen! I followed Aisling anyway. I had no other choice.

  • Author

Aisling and Joshua walked/ran in the darkness after the sun set. The only thing lighting the Keykeeper and Biblioprincesses path was the street lights. Approaching footsteps frightened Aisling, her dashing into a seprate ally way.

"Shh. If you don't be quiet, they'll hear us..." she barely whispered.

What looked like an army of people passed by. Aisling without a word grabbed onto Joshua's key.

"I hope you don't mind...but I'm keeping this for now...they will find the key if its on you..." she said quietly, slipping the key into what appeared to be her bra. (you do not understand...that is the safest place to put stuff without people wanting to get it/finding it xD)

Just then the soilders stopped, In fright, she heard footsteps coming their way. Aisling grabbed onto Joshua's right hand, the one with the hand seal and pulled her keykeeper closer.

A strong hand grabbed Aisling's head, making her turn to an unknown general.

"Let go of the boy and stand...then the boy shall fallow your moves." Aisling had to obey, slowly letting go of Joshua and standing up.

"Names?" the general asked.

"Aisling Torrin and Joshua Akira..." she said quietly.

"Good girl" the General said, slapping Aisling across the face, leaving a rather red mark.

Aisling winced, gripping onto Joshua's hand again.

"I hope you don't mind camping out...dont worry...we'll have you and the sweet little boy together..." the man laughed. Two other men walked from behind, grabbing Joshua's, then Aislings's arms.

Panic shot through Aisling's throat and she screamed, hoping someone...anyone would help her and Joshua. Aisling thrashed around, only making this worse.

"Idiot girl..." The General mocked, wacking Aisling upside the head with his gun. She winced, soon enough, her thrashing stopped and her screams died, her head going limp as she lost consciousness.

" If you be the same way, I'll break the deal of keeping you two together, Keykeeper." the General snapped, throwing Aisling and Joshua into a cage/cart with several other people. Cries could be heard from many.

( ;_; I told you Schemer...)

I was forcefully pulled back at the same time as Aisling, gripping onto her hand until she let go. I was practically stunned. We had just gotten stopped by a Nazi. I was scared. Frightened. I couldn't move, I could barely think, I could barely breathe, and my heart was pumping at a fast rate. My eyes swelled up with water but I tried my best to keep them from flowing. I could feel my blood heat and my bones stiffen. Shocked back into reality after the general hit Aisling, I was just about to say something-- but no words would decide to come out of my mouth. I couldn't speak until the man was gone, I was too scared for my life, too scared OF my life, thinking of everything that would happen. All the stories, all the rumors, all flowing into me like a waterfall into a water bank. I followed the general, gripping onto Aisling's now unconscious self as I obeyed everything the general said, not saying a word, and not even thinking of saying a word. When we were thrown into the back, in a cage/cart, I was still stunned. He knew I was a Keykeeper, and that Aisling was a Biblioprincess. We'd...we'd be the first to go...even if we look "pure". What did we ever do to the Nazi's?! It...it really had to be something horrible for them to cause something like this. I began shaking Aisling, looking around to the other injured and/or captured people crying. Just that finally made me cry as well. "Ais--Aisling...! W-wake up! Please!" I plead. My voice finally came back to me, returning as I let myself go, bawling and sobbing.

"Shut up!" one of the generals yelled at Joshua.

A rather young boy, about the age of 16 or 17 turned himself around. There was a brutal red mark inches away from this boy's silver eyes, his brown hair matted onto his head as he looked at Joshua rather sadly.

"We need to be quiet." he barely whispered, then looking at Aisling.

In a couple of seconds, Aisling's eyes shot open and she about yelled Joshua's name, however panic froze her again. They were in a cage with about four other people and there were many cages behind them.

Aisling's eyes filled with tears, hugging Joshua tightly.

"Dont say a word. If the general's hear you, they'll shoot you..." the boy whispered, pointing to a dead corpse in the opposite corner of the cage.

"Who are you?" Aisling snapped quietly.

"I am Matthew...and my little sister Elizabeth..." he whispered as a small frial looking girl who was at least seven stumbled over to Matthew.

"I am Aisling and this is Joshua..." she said, barely whispering as she still held Joshua.

I was a tad more stunned when the general yelled at me, just waiting and expecting him to do more. Nervous and afraid, my skin went as pale as white silk and every limb of my body trembled in fear. I saw Matthew-- another victim here, warning me. Just looking at him made me sadder though. His depressed expression, the mark on his face, I couldn't stop crying even if I used up all the water in my body. I held Aisling in a tight grip, looking at Matthew and his sister Elizabeth. Not saying a word, I just mouthed: "Okay...thank-you....."I couldn't help but stare at the corpse in the corner, even whilst Aisling being awake. I closed my eyes and turned, still wrapped in Aisling's arms, facing Matthew and Elizabeth. I still didn't say a thing, letting Aisling and Matthew talk for now.

The carts started moving, dragged by a horse and some soldiers cornered the cages. Aisling was silent, like everyone else. Just because she was a biblioprincess, and Joshua a keykeeper. They made a couple more stops, Aisling soon broke into tears after two more spots. She held onto Joshua, looking down trying to block the tears.

"Biblioprincesses can detect each other...and that is why Margaret and Anthea saved us from Isaac...someone will find us and get us out of here, even if we have through the Bibliotheca." she said quietly.

Edited by Sodom

I sat down against the wall in the quietude. Nothing to do, nothing to hope for, nothing to live for anymore. In the corner of the cage were the bags Aisling and I had brought. The generals checked and removed any weapons, then threw the rest in carelessly. There were still books there, they hadn't been taken to be burned yet. I glanced over at the Darkside of January but didn't take it. I could be killed if I read it, couldn't I? I then looked up-- a tad hopefully to Aisling, even if that was conflicted with both of our tears flowing down silently. "Y-you really think someone will come...?!" I asked Aisling quietly. As soon as I said it though, my attention turned to Matthew, Elizabeth, and everyone else who were in these cages. Would they be able to be freed too...?

"If I get in contact with Anthea or Hiro, they will come here..." Aisling said silently.

Her tears stopped flowing soon after they traveled a little farther. They traveled for about an hour, Aisling was on the verge of falling asleep because of the tears draining the life out of her before they threw her and Joshua out of the cage, them both landing hard on the ground. Aisling clenched her head at the pain head withstood.

Strong arms gripped onto her and Joshua, throwing them into an icolated cage-like surrounding full of starving people, she looked around and nobody spoke to her or any of the new comers, there was small and small slot like things in the covered area they walked into, the slots concreted into the wall so they looked like really big and long shelves. There were people housing in the shelf like stucture.

Aisling's eyes filled with tears again, as she gripped onto Joshua's hand.

After getting tossed out the first cage and thrown into another one, I quickly stood up off the ground, beside Aisling. I clinged onto her tightly with one hand, rubbing my bruised shoulder and arm with the other— only for a few seconds before I diverted my vision— covering the front of my eyes with my hand. The sight was horrible...wretched...grotesque. The people roaming about were starved, with their ribs, spine, stomach, every bone was in clear sight. Piles and piles of bodies, starved, shot, or intoxicated to death littered the area. My tears wouldn't stop for my own life, and neither would their's. I cried and sobbed into Aisling's side, holding onto her as tightly as I could. "Aisling....Aisling......" I spoke very softly and tearfully. I was too scared and afraid, sad and depressed to speak properly, so I didn't finish my sentence and continued to cry.

Matthew was thrown in with his sister soon after Aisling and Joshua.

"Come on, we better find I place to be. No solder foils with us in here unless we try and escape." he said, grabbing Aisling's hand and lifting her up off her knees.

Matthew lead the way. Aisling held Joshua and Elizabeth was holding my extra hand. We walked for a bit through all of the shelf like beds. Matthew yanked a dead corpse from one of the shelves, lifting himself up into the second leveled metal shelf bed. There was the part they were laying on that was about five feet off the ground, and the part the next person layed on was four feet away from them, there was a concrete wall on the fathest side. After himself, Matthew helped his sister, Joshua, then Aisling into the shelf metal bed.

Aisling layed Joshua beside her, holding onto him.

"If we work together, we can connect to the bibliotheca..." she said quietly.

I looked hopelessly as ever. "Thank-you...." I muttered to Matthee, barely. And yet it was still as loud as I could speak in this moment. I stared at the dirty wall, away from the corpses and people. I couldn't see them. I just couldn't...I couldn't bear it. ".........How...?" I asked simply to Aisling. I said it depressingly, and with a sigh. Normally, Aisling's warmth and comfort would please me, but...I was completely hopeless right now. No escape. Only to starve and let life pass by. A worse way to die than most would think.
