Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian~ The ‘Shadows' Case’ ~ [A 1x1 between Neko-chan and CloakedSchemerX]

Posted

-Introduction-
In England after World War I, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, has finished his travels with Dalian and is currently watching her in good health. Hal Kamhout and Flamberge have finished off most of the Phantom Books, but it is still unknown if any still exist. ‘Professor’ and Rasiel have not been seen after the printer-company incident. The girl from the archives still is held within Dalian and the archives are still to access. A new Biblioprincess has been chosen, with a new Key Keeper. After discovery of hundreds of more Phantom Books, what news reporters called ‘The Shadow Case’, has traumatized many villagers and the new, unknown Key Keeper is being called out by the Biblioprincess, The Shadow Case, will have to be taken care of, also the effects of The Shadow Case.

-‘The Shadow Case’-
The Shadow Case takes place of demoniac shadows that come in different forms, some even possessing humans. Effects of the Shadow case include these shadows becoming monsters, burning down towns, causing reverse effects that should not be held in this world. The world is going out of balance because of this case all because of Phantoms Books. That is where the Biblioprincess and Key Keeper come in.

-Author’s Note-

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYqg97kSGuA Lyrics:

Miku:

Still...You are...All alone..

The sky is so blue
If only you knew it
If only you knew it...ahh

Meiko:

Where am I?
Even though the sky is blue
What I see is burned sand and rock face

The winds howl
Even though the horizon is far away
I was moved

Dried lakes
Burning fields
Someday they all will get back on the track
So, now I go forward

Even to the far future
There is a way to link
So, do not turn around
We can go through it

Len:

For everybody
That's what they said but...

In the starless sky
Light is overflowing
Since when
Have we been deserted?

The ladder that reaches to the end of the sky
I can't ascend it
In the cold world, holding hands,
We live today as always
We're not lifeless

(Stars, falling stars)

Someone, please give me courage
To face forward without turning back
The iron giant should shake the earth,
Disturb the atmosphere and follow

Even so I'd rather go with someone laughing
Than living all alone
Kick the earth to get onto the atmosphere
Believing in a fate that I can meet you

(Thank you Schemer oωo)

"I'd have to enter the biblotheca myself, then I'd be able to teleport you by your key. We would appear asleep out here, however we would be really awake in the Angelus Tribellium...." Aisling said quietly.

She still held Joshua close, silent tears flowing down her face and giving her the feeling she couldn't swallow or breathe.

"We will get out of here Joshua...Margaret will probably set us free." she said, a bit choked up.

(Goodnight Schemer =_=)

"Y-yeah...Margaret saved us before...." I muttered. My tears finally stopped— dying out as the water in me gave up on releasing so futilely. "Thank-you Aisling...but...." I didn't say anything else. I stopped mid-sentence, looking up to where Matthew and Elizabeth were. (...Will they be able to come too? And the others here?) I continued in my thoughts.

  • Author

(THE THUNDER IS SOOOO SCARY *cries*)

"Them?" Aisling asked quietly, looking up slightly.

"I'm afraid once Margaret and Anthea come, they will have to use the bibliotheca, and we will too. We will bring Elizabeth and Matthew, however they will have no memory of being taken here in the first place. The bibliotheca whipes out memories." she explained, Aisling's tears soon dried up.

"You're welcome Joshua...thank you too..." she said, a soft smile on her face.

"As long as they're okau too...its fine if they forget...no, its better off like that." I said quietly to Aisling. I lied down, right beside Aisling— almost as close to her as I could. "There isn't much to thank me for, Aisling...I'm sorry...." I uttered again. Before I could continue my thoughts, I instinctively looked away and embraced Aisling, a ringing sounding through my ears. The sound of a gunshot executing a rebellious victim of this war...tragedy...this holocaust.

  • Author

Aisling shut her eyes tight at the gunshot, gripping onto Joshua for a second.

"There is stuff to thank you for...you just don't know yet..." she said, looking at him with a faint blush.

Aisling was silent for a second before pulling out Joshua's key she hid, handing it to him.

"You need to hide this...we should try and get too sleep if we can..." she said.

I slowly closed my eyes, gripping onto Aisling tightly still. I couldn't sleep. I would hardly believe someone who could without having to sleep because their bodies gave out. I quietly took the key and held it firmly in my hand for a few moments. I figured my pocket would be too obvious a place to put the key. For now, I just decided to tighten the sleeves of my shirt as much as they could, placing the key under a fold of the inside sleeve, only to fold it even more, tightening it in place. This was just for now. When we got up, I'd have to put it elsewhere. But...right now, I held that arm as closely as a pillow below my head. "I won't sleep, Aisling. I can't." I saod rather simply. I still kept my eyes closed, the last thing I wanted to do was see everything else here.

  • Author

"I probably won't be able too either..." Aisling mummered.

She looked at Joshua.

"Would you like to get in contact with the Bibliotheca?" She asked quietly.

Staying silent as ever for the moment, I opened my eyes open slowly, soon to gaze at the key— past my fist that clenched it tightly and firmly. After the quietude and silence behind the shed of tears and blood elsewhere here, I looked slightly up to Aisling as I still huddled myself in a closed position as if trying to force my way into a feeling of safety. "......Will they do anything to us if they see it, Aisling? We can't really hide it...." I said quietly to Aisling, in a near whisper. No, it was a whisper. I had lost any sense of what would be considered a normal volume to talk in— being in danger of death every moment here.

  • Author

"If we use the bibliotheca, they will probably shoot us then and there then the library will collapse inside me, and Hiro and Anthea will be noted of this." Aisling said hushed.

She closed her eyes, grabbing Joshua so that his head was laying on her stomach.

"If I make contact with the bibliotheca, then we will be transmited there...." she said in a whisper.

I still stared blankly ahead at the almost hopeless place of death we were in. "...Okay. How do we contact it? When we were in the Bibliotheca last time, it wasn't on any pleasant circumstances...this is worse...but they haven't caused us much physical harm...yet....." I muttered, as if to myself but still to Aisling— enough for her to barely hear. Huddled up, I moved slightly closer to Aisling with the disturbing sounds of mourn coming from everywhere. (I'm hungry.....) I complaint in my head. In truth, I couldn't eat too many kinds of foods like meat in this situation. I wouldn't stomach it. (They're not going to feed us, are they?) I questioned my mind, my soul, my life at this point. If Aisling weren't here, I may have been put out of misery. Still...without even knowing it, she was keeping me alive inside.

(Sodom can't sleep...)

Aisling stared blankly at the concrete above them.

"I—I really don't know Joshua...." she said quietly.

She was frightened, tired, and confused. They had been put in here because they are 'diffrent'. They appear fine, and they wouldn't have to join these dying people if they hadn't have been a Keykeeper nor Biblioprincess. However, they were a 'threat' thanks to the Bibliotheca Angelus Trillbelium. The Navy and Black Library. Hiro and Anthea be caught...however they haven't been found yet.

(Now Schemer can't.)

I hesitated to speak again. I felt the urge to suddenly cry again but I still didn't have it in me. I looked up to the charred amd rusty grey ceiling, looking as if it'd fall any second. "...Then I guess...we just have to wait. And hope nothing happens...." I muttered aloud. I gulped. Never have I been so frightened as I am now, driven closer to speechless than ready to scream. I couldn't scream. That energy was out of me long before. I breathed quite deeply, exhaling deeply as well. (If I die...then Aisling dies. But it will be painless, right!? Then...if it comes down to it...maybe I'll just have myself gone first. So Aisling doesn't have to deal with the pain. Yeah. I could do that....) I said to myself in my head. I was on the verge of finally snapping— but more sad than angry. More suicidal than homicidal. Still though, Aisling couldn't die painfully. I wouldn't let that happen. (Yeah...if they try to kill us...if they're killing us...I'll die first!!)

  • Author

"We will wait..." Aisling barely muttered.

Her eyes traced to Joshua, staring at him.

"Do you think you'll be okay...?" she asked him, rather worried.

I hesitated just to answer Aisling's question. I didn't know what to say myself; I knew I probably wouldn't end up fine, but saying that would only worry Aisling. "...I'll be fine. Fine for as long as I know you're okay too...." I finally said, truthfully. It was a bit more literal than Aisling would like to know of. That I'd die at my own hands if I knew she would be at the mercy of a painful passing. She didn't need to know that...she didn't need to worry for me.

Margaret and Anthea lied on two beds from another apartment Margaret had to rent, as always. The crappy fan spinned to give some air despite it being tilted, as if it'd fall right atop Anthea's bed. Margaret looked at Anthea now. She was becoming more and more of a grouchy little sh*t. It was a wonder how Margaret had only slapped her and not thrown her to Russia or Germany by her hair. "Anthea, do you feel anything right now?"

  • Author

"Ya...hunger." Anthea said bluntly, pulling on Usagi's ear.

Anthea was silent, then turning to Margaret.

"Seriously...there is something wrong....and of COURSE. It HAS to be Kon to Kuro AGAIN..." she sighed, plopping Usagi over her eyes.

Aisling nodded, grabbing onto Joshua and just keeping her arms around him. She didn't want to lose the last thing she had.

"If I can get into a point that I'm half asleep, I can send myself to the bibliotheca..." she muttered quietly.

"Of course it is. I know its not Hiro...Dante's too smart to get them in such trouble. Margaret sighed, sitting up. "And we just saved Kon to Kuro's and her keykeeper's asses not that long ago." Margaret complaint, hiding her protectiveness of the two. It was only slight though, it wasn't too much of a time since Margaret was trying to kill them. "Come on, Anthea. I'll get you food on the way back." Margaret twirled her motorcycle keys again and walked out with her weapons. "The girl owes us gas money after this. Remind me." Margaret said, turning back to Anthea. Joshua simply nodded, practically cuddling closer to Aisling. "I can't sleep. I'll just watch out while you try to get to the Bibliotheca. I'll tell you if anything happens."

  • Author

"Yay~ Thank you Margaret!" Anthea said, simply about food. Truthfully, Anthea sometimes didn't care for Aisling. She grabbed her axe and Usagi, running behind Margaret.

Aisling gave a small nod.

"I know you can't...and thanks." she stated, trying to ignore the earsplitting screams coming from about 40 yards away.

Margaret started the ignition as she let Anthea in the side car. With the motor a bit slow to run at first, it soon started and Margaret rode off, quite in the middle of night. She knew where to go, more or less. There was that Key-Keeper to Key-Keeper vibe, same as Anthea could probably sense Aisling. Anthea and Aisling rarely got along, although, Margaret and Joshua conversate rarely— never exactly well between them either. He's even managed to slash her weapons. Regardlessly, Margaret drove and drove at an average of about seventy miles an hour.

I couldn't ignore the screams and screeches of everyone. It was much too loud to handle, and much too excruciating to bear. I was quiet, unintentionally listening to everything around me as Aisling tried to calm— relax and sleep. The scream of a little girl was next. She slid through the bars and ran, passing by the cell with Aisling and I. She ran and ran, quickly, as my ears rang and she fell to the floor dead. My eyes widened as my ears could hear nothing but the constant buzz and ring of the shot, seeing the girl fall in death. One side of my mind felt sorry and horribly sad...the other...was different.

(Aheh...why would someone run...? No one's going to escape here! Not her...not me...no one!!! She's better off, isn't she...!?) I thought in the back of my mind. My mouth shivered and wobbled, unconditionally transitioning between smile and frown. It contradicted the direct tears flowing once again, silently. My eyes sharpened in vision and my ears tuned in to everything around me. I could hear endless coughing in the nearest gas chamber, screams and cries from everywhere, and somehow the silent sadness that was everywhere— in everyone and everything.

The cell next to ours just had a new...guest. Someone was just thrown in like garbage, him crying for who knows how long. He seemed to be around nine...but...he deserved everything just as much as us...! Right...? Right!? (He— he...must be just like the rest. We're...we're ALL just Key-Keepers, Biblioprincesses, and Jews, right!? Did we do something so HORRIBLE to Germany!? We must have!! Right!? Or else....or else, they wouldn't have done all this to us! They wouldn't do this to innocents! WE'RE ALL GUILTY! AREN'T WE? WHY ELSE WOULD WE BE HERE!?) My mind was going in circles, that half consuming my only peace of mind. I said nothing, but my eyes were widened as my pupils shrunk, me shivering and trembling— almost twitching of madness. (But...WHAT DID WE DO!? We HAD to do SOMETHING!! Why won't they tell.us!?) My frowns and smiles still conflicted eachother, I could hardly control any of myself

Aisling opened her eyes, seeing Joshua tremble in front of her. She grabbed Joshua's shoulders, her sitting up and pulling him up with her.

"Joshua, look at me." She snapped, grabbing the sides of his head and making him stare at her.

"Calm down...you can do that, right?" Aisling asked hugging him.

She gabbed onto his hand, still hugging her keykeeper.

"I ask of thee....," Aisling whispered, closing her eyes, "Art thou mankind?" She asked.

After that statement, the two were sent straight to the Bibliotheca Angelus Trillbellium. In reality, their bodies slumped in what looked like they were sleeping.

The screaming came to a stop, and Joshua was still in Aislings arms.

Even as Aisling held me, I shivered. Trembled. My eyes wobbled and were darker— in a sadistic manner. "N-no, Aisling...!" I said truthfully, as a grin crossed my face psychotically. "Hehe, I can't...!" I exclaimed with a slight chuckle. Even as we were being sent to the Bibliotheca, I stared off past Aisling and into nothing, a blank expression strewn over me. "No, Aisling...I can't...I still see them...I see everyone!" Still in Aisling's arms, I fidgeted around and squirmed, with nearly nothing to run towards. The blue afterglow of a sky and an apparent watery surface, there was no where to go. But I could still see them. The dead people. The tortured people. They were everywhere....

  • Author

Aisling held onto Joshua still, not letting go.

"Joshua....calm down...please calm down!" she exclaimed.

Aisling gripped onto Joshua.

(short post#tripleshot)

"B-but, how? HOW, Aisling!? How do I calm down? I don't know!" I said, immediately hearing a familiar sound in my head. I stood quiet in Aisling's arms for a few moments, "......" I had nothing to say. Right after, I felt myself uncontrollably shriek, changing completely after. Whatever state I was in, I now felt a rushing flow of sadness and frustration...melancholic...even amnesiac for a bit. I squirmed again, fighting and breaking free from Aisling, running for a few seconds. "Everyone GO AWAY! I DON'T KNOW ANY OF YOU! STOP FOLLOWING MEEEEE!!!!!" I screeched and yelled, imminently dropping myself to the floor in loud tears and sobs. There was no one following me. No one, really. But not to me. They HAD to be real. "Who are all of you!? Just leave me ALONE! WHY CAN'T I BE ALONE!?!?"

  • Author

Aisling stood up quickly, running over to Joshua and picked him immediately up in her arms.

"Joshua...you are a keykeeper...your sanity is my sanity...If you are alone, then you'll die...If you die...so will I..." Aisling tried to explain, finding Joshua's key and making him grip onto as she held onto the key also.

"Joshua...I love you...and I can't loose you again..." Aisling mummered, tears starting to fall from her face again.

My hands shook even more when gripping onto the key. "N-no, I don't want someone to die for me...!" I exclaimed rather loudly. My tears still flowed and I was unsure of everything but I didn't bother struggling to escape. I still shivered and trembled, feeling only slightly safer and away from the dead. "I don't want anyone to do that! Do I even know you!? You know ME...!" I cried a bit more. "What's...what's going on? Where am I...?" I asked myself repeatedly. Aisling spoke again...and this time, SHE began to cry. The mere notion made me cry that much more. "Ais— Ais..ling...Aisling......!!!" I exclaimed. At a loss of words, and still mostly traumatized, I embraced her, there were only us two here in the Bibliotheca as far as we could see. No one else. Not the living...or the dead. But I still trembled in fear. "Aisling...I'm sorry....I'm sorry....." I kept repeating with a murmur. "I'm sorry...! I didn't...mean for anything to happen...!"

  • Author

Aisling gave a small smile, tears still falling from her eyes.

"Joshua....you need to calm down...okay? It's okay...we're safe here..." she muttered.
