Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian~ The ‘Shadows' Case’ ~ [A 1x1 between Neko-chan and CloakedSchemerX]

Posted

-Introduction-
In England after World War I, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, has finished his travels with Dalian and is currently watching her in good health. Hal Kamhout and Flamberge have finished off most of the Phantom Books, but it is still unknown if any still exist. ‘Professor’ and Rasiel have not been seen after the printer-company incident. The girl from the archives still is held within Dalian and the archives are still to access. A new Biblioprincess has been chosen, with a new Key Keeper. After discovery of hundreds of more Phantom Books, what news reporters called ‘The Shadow Case’, has traumatized many villagers and the new, unknown Key Keeper is being called out by the Biblioprincess, The Shadow Case, will have to be taken care of, also the effects of The Shadow Case.

-‘The Shadow Case’-
The Shadow Case takes place of demoniac shadows that come in different forms, some even possessing humans. Effects of the Shadow case include these shadows becoming monsters, burning down towns, causing reverse effects that should not be held in this world. The world is going out of balance because of this case all because of Phantoms Books. That is where the Biblioprincess and Key Keeper come in.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYqg97kSGuA Lyrics:

Miku:

Still...You are...All alone..

The sky is so blue
If only you knew it
If only you knew it...ahh

Meiko:

Where am I?
Even though the sky is blue
What I see is burned sand and rock face

The winds howl
Even though the horizon is far away
I was moved

Dried lakes
Burning fields
Someday they all will get back on the track
So, now I go forward

Even to the far future
There is a way to link
So, do not turn around
We can go through it

Len:

For everybody
That's what they said but...

In the starless sky
Light is overflowing
Since when
Have we been deserted?

The ladder that reaches to the end of the sky
I can't ascend it
In the cold world, holding hands,
We live today as always
We're not lifeless

(Stars, falling stars)

Someone, please give me courage
To face forward without turning back
The iron giant should shake the earth,
Disturb the atmosphere and follow

Even so I'd rather go with someone laughing
Than living all alone
Kick the earth to get onto the atmosphere
Believing in a fate that I can meet you

Aisling got dressed after cleaning herself up. It was still a rather short dress. It was short-sleeved with white lace at the ends of the sleeves. A light blue vest that almost looked like a corset was aligned with lace and silver buttons. There was a light blue ribbon at the back of the dress too. It was a sweet Lolita dress technically. There was white under the blue of the dress. Aisling wore white slip on shoes and white tights to go under this. She wondered out of the bathroom, and downstairs, on the look for Joshua.

"Sorry to scare you..." Anthea apologized. She was actually keeping the dress she on had last night herself.

"I'm sorry I woke you up Margaret!" she apologized once more.

Hiro opened the door, basically slamming the door open on Dante's face.

"I am up Dante." she said.

Hiro wore a bright red dress with black highlights. It was spaghetti-strapped and looked very cold.

"Is there anything you want?" she asked impatiently.

"It wasn't you, then." Dante said bluntly as he glanced all over Hiro's room. It'd be quite hard to hide such a large number of books. "Then...who...?" Dante asked himself, motioning Hiro to follow him.I went over back to the stairs after glancing through the empty shelves. With a smile, I walked over to Aisling innocently. "You look great, Aisling!" I said with a small laugh of joy.Margaret snickered and knelt down a bit to Anthea's height. "......" She stared right to her. "Reaper has come. Sinner." She smirked, stabbing several claw-knives straight through Anthea. She smiled more now, standing up and slashing at Anthea's neck. "Idiot." She said, her body switching out of the form of Margaret and into another one. "Lira?" Dante asked surprised as he recognized the voice of her, but not the form she took even after. Dante took his gun, walking out of Hiro's room. "Hiro! Stay away." Dante ordered rather furiously, firing a bullet straight to Lira's leg. "Dan--" She hesitated, falling straight to her knees before her leg went to normal. Before he fired again, Lira threw a knife straight through Dante's gun's barrel. Dropping it, he took the knife hidden within it and followed Lira as she jumped down the stairs. "So, Lira, I don't recognize the body you're using. I suppose you dislike your own form and are deciding to use someone else's?" Dante smirked, taunting her. "Quiet, Dante." She hissed, Dante only laughing in response, rather casually, but still with the intense fire in his eyes. "Why take the Enochian books, Lira? You may as well be playing Russian roulette, you're likely to die." He said, approaching Lira closer and bypassing Aisling and I, ensuring Lira wouldn't come closer to them either.

Anthea just started screaming and crying, falling to her knees from the pain and gripping to Usagi.

"Margaret! Margaret!" she called over and over again. Hiro grabbed her gun, dashing over to Anthea and covering her mouth.

Aisling quickly ran past Lira and Dante holding onto Joshua tightly. She grabbed Anthea up with her spare hand, Hiro was already dashing to the bathroom, she grabbed the First Aid Kit, and then leading Anthea, Joshua, and Aisling into AIsling's room, the closest to them. Hiro locked the door, Aisling sitting Anthea down.

"We need to be quiet. I didn't expect this." Hiro said, setting her gun down.

Anthea's screaming had stopped and she was in tears still whispering Margaret's name.

"Be quiet, okay? I don't know what happened to Margaret..." Hiro said, staring to clean Anthea's wounds.

Aisling's eyes were wide, her hands shaking. Tears started forming in her eyes again.

"J-Joshua..." she muttered.

Dante and Lira both stood, not caring for the others as they left. Lira didn't need to kill them. Dante was the only threat here, right now. "Lira." Dante began. He got straight to the blunt point. "Why take the Enochian phantom books? You cannot understand a word." Dante said, staring straight to Lira. "Tsk. I can now. I have your memories etched in my mind!" She exclaimed. Dante snickered, "I suppose so. Now, Lira: where is Margaret?" He said directly and bluntly. "Isn't that for you to ponder, Dante?" She snickered again, throwing one last claw to Dante as she did a quick acrobatic somersault, breaking through a glass window with her feet and escaping with Margaret's own motorcycle that was now parked, hidden behind the walls of the home. Many books completely filled the sidecar, and it actually over-flooded in books, but tied down to the sidecar so they wouldn't fly out. Dante walked off and reached into a cupboard too high for anyone else here to reach, grabbing another gun and pack of bullets. He hid his knife within it as well. "That damned Lira. I never thought I'd hear her voice again." Dante said as he loaded the gun.My own tears flowed easily at the outbreak of everything so quickly, seeing Anthea in pain and shock, and leaving only Dante out with the woman. I clenched onto Aisling before hearing the window downstairs break and a motorcycle screeching away. "It's...it's okay, Aisling...we're not hurt...right?" I asked her. I could feel pain now if it occurred to me...but I was still unsure. I felt no pain on that bullet still, until it was pulled out. Who knew if I would feel anything or not? From downstairs I could hear Dante coming up, his footsteps on the staircase loud and heavy-- clearly serious. Dante went to his own room, taking Margaret's scythe-guns that he had taken from her and then going over to Aisling's room. Seeing it locked, it didn't take long before Dante grabbed the key from the high top rim of the door and opening it. "I don't know where Lira went now, but right now we have to find Margaret. I don't know where she is either, but there can't be very many places where she can be. Not to mention Lira had Margaret's motorcycle."

Anthea's wounds were covered up in what seemed seconds by Hiro, she turned over to Dante.

"Well, come on." she said, storming out the bedroom door.

Anthea didn't move, she kept whispering Margaret's name.

Aisling looked down at Joshua.

"I'm sorry we won't be able to do something fun today...but thanks for earlier..." she said, hugging him for a short moment.

Dante let Hiro go first, as he went further inside. He simply took Anthea and carried her down. Two half-traumatized children, already. Two having to help the others. One of an unknown state. And another needing to keep everyone together. Such is for the Keykeepers and Biblioprincesses, at the mercy of murderous beings, war, and the supernatural. The mercy of them...no more. But less, perhaps...there is no mercy at all. "I-it's okay, Aisling. It's not your fault. And...well...we never can...so...I guess I'm used to it. This is just how we have to live." I said sadly, but truthfully, and with a smile. A faint smile...a soft smile......a fake smile. "We're leaving, now." Dante said bluntly to Aisling and I.

Aisling gave a small nod, grabbing Joshua's hand and fallowing Hiro out.

Hiro threw open the front door, everyone walking out and Hiro closing it after everyone.

"Will Margaret be...okay?" Anthea asked, a bit scared.

Dante quickly speed-walked to his vehicle as everyone else followed. "Margaret will be fine, Anthea. I'll ensure you that. But we have to get there, first. Lira gave us a pretty big hint on where they'd be." Dante said seriously, opening his door and igniting the engine. "She showed us that she had Margaret's vehicle. And Lira is sure as Hell not German, so she must've gotten it from someone who is." He brought Anthea in the middle of the backseats, as everyone else entered. "After all, whom else do we know is after all of us, and partnered with the Nazi's?" Dante grinned. "We're going to see Isaac."

  • Author

Aisling slid one of the back seats with Joshua by her side. Hiro sat in the front and Anthea basically lay in the back.

Hiro smirked at Dante's comment.

"Really? Of course...." she sighed.

Aisling tensed up and Anthea just started crying again.

"Mmm. All of you, search the house for Margaret when we arrive. I need to take care of Isaac...and maybe even that damned Lira." Dante ordered. He was driving almost ninety miles an hour, with his foot pressed down, easily putting the pedal to the metal. He arrived there rather quickly, taking the lead To Isaac's with his gun, and another one hidden in as well. I stayed with Aisling, Hiro, and Anthea as Dante stormed in first. I was the only Keykeeper with these three Biblioprincesses now...what would I do?

  • Author

"Joshua. We will use the bibliotheca if we have to. Fair warning. We are sticking together." Aisling said seriously, gripping onto Joshua and Anthea's hands, Hiro loading her gun.

"We should go to the attic first and work our way down." she said seriously, starting towards the stairs.

"Okay...Aisling." I said simply with a small frown. I was afraid again. But I couldn't be...I had to protect everyone else here...and we had to find Margaret. Isaac was quick to open the door for Dante, calmly letting him inside with an innocent smile strewn across his face. "My, Dante, welcome. Here you are again. Did Hiro wish to visit me again?" Isaac asked neglectfully. "You know damned well why I'm here, Isaac. Where's Margaret?" Dante ordered of Isaac bluntly. "Apparently for Margaret, then. Sorry to say, but I don't have a tracking device placed on her. It's not me to know where she is twenty four hours a day, she's a grown woman, I'm sure she's fine." Isaac grinned."...When do we go...?" I asked Hiro and the others. Isaac had Dante's gun practically pointed to his face already."Answer, Isaac. And where's Lira?"

  • Author

Aisling was already climbing up the stairs with the three.

"Margaret is in this building..." Anthea said, sensing her keykeeper.

That is the rather odd thing Bibiloprincesses and Keykeepers have in common. They can sense each other from long distances.

I followed Aisling, not turning back to Isaac, no matter what. He frightened me. He was the source of it all. The one who kidnapped Aisling and I. The one who killed Alexander. The one who kept corpses of his victims there to haunt us. The one who forced us to the Nazi's. The one who killed Matthew...and Elizabeth. The one who caused almost everything to us."Lee-ra? That's an awfully strange name." Isaac remarked sarcastically, Dante keeping a serious expression, still with a gun to his head. "I've shot you before. I don't care if it's fatal this time." Dante threatened...Isaac just laughed. He laughed. He laughed at the gun being pointed to his head. "You know, you're a grown ass man, Dante." Isaac smiled almost innocently. Although, his grin was wide, almost enough to be that of a cartoon. "But you act way too much like an older version of Joshua." Isaac stabbed a knife from his lab coat directly into Dante's stomach region, as Dante shot...and missed.(I've had that sense before, too....) I thought, hearing Anthea. She had to be here then. SOMEWHERE. I heard the shot from downstairs....

"D--Dante!" Hiro yelled.

Aisling kept walking ahead, Hiro walked up about two steps, and she stopped walking. Her eyes were wide.

"Hiro...what's wrong?" Anthea asked innocently.

"Dante...." Hiro's voice trialed off and her footing slipped, Hiro almost fell straight down the steps, however, Anthea's hand caught Hiro's.

They were at the top of the steps and Aisling carefully set Hiro down.

"Hiro. What is wrong?" Aisling asked seriously.

"Dante was shot. He is loosing. You know what happens Aisling..." Hiro muttered.

Aisling looked over to Joshua.

"I know what happens....because I've felt my library about to be destroyed before..." Aisling said, looking at Joshua.

"I-Isaac...!" I yelled in near fury, right about to pull out a kunai and slice the scientist. I hadn't brought any. They were all still in Dante's home...I thought I was safe being there. Dante. Margaret. They both must've been in danger. I was the only Keykeeper here."Don't...worry, Hiro...!" Dante said. He still managed to smirk amidst the pain. "Go find Margaret! Isaac and I are even already...." Dante pulled out his hand from Isaac's side, revealing a golden knife. The same one he had in his gun until he shot. Isaac was still conscious as ever though. "Tch. Aren't you sneaky...?" He complaint, jabbing another dagger to Dante's direction.

Aisling looked down at the two.

She picked up Joshua, grabbed onto Hiro's hand, and Anthea's hand, Joshua was wrapped round her now practically.

"Come on." she said serious.

Aisling just began opening doors.

The highest floor only held a few rooms. Most of them were large though, but still, it may make a job easier. Stuck in one, Margaret just stood. As if asleep, locked in a large human test tube.(Margaret's going to be fine, Margaret's going to be fine...neither of them are going to die...neither of them...are going...to die.....) I kept thinking in my head. I couldn't just stop thinking. That wouldn't be me...but why am I subconsciously forced into these feelings?Dante dodged the dagger, pulling his other gun and firing again, this time hitting, or rather, grazing Isaac's left shoulder-blade. His eyes widened in pain, but he still clung on to consciousness this time. A grin strewn across his face as usual, Isaac quickly reversed behind Dante and stabbed the shoulder-blade of the same manner as his own.

"Joshua. Whenever you wish....you can use the Bibliotheca." Aisling said seriously.

She sat everyone down, holding Joshua's hand still.

"We need to break this thing open. Look for a latch or something." Aisling said, beginning to look around.

Anthea began frantically looking around, tears in her eyes.

Hiro stared straight at the floor, her hand holding onto her gun tightly.

"Yeah...we might have to...." I said slowly. Margaret was here— we just needed to free her from this place. She was alive. Anthea was too...and I could see Margaret still breathing. I looked around frantically without a word, throwing down books and smashing other things into glass. Nothing. "There has to be...something...." I mumbled. A slight smooth sliding sounded through the room, from Margaret's test tube. She was clearly tired and worn, even a bit manhandled as it seemed. "Anthea...." She muttered, coming to Anthea and hugging her loosely, but as tight as possible. I watched...I felt a bit of relief...but all I could think of was how. (How...did the tube open on its own....?) I thought.

"Anthea...I guess they're just taking down us Keykeepers one by one...." Margaret said. She stood up with a sigh. "Thank-you...thank...you. You...gullible idiots!" Margaret yelled. Her eyes gleemed with sharpness and ruthlessness. She quickly stomped her heel on Anthea and dashed. She dashed...quickly. Straight...to me! "ALL the Keykeepers! One by one!" Lira yelled behind Margaret's form. She grinned evilly, stabbing her claw straight into my chest. Straight in...without...miss....

Aisling stared blankly at Joshua. Hiro just started screaming for Dante unexpectedly. Anthea just kept her eyes pasted on Lira. In a second, Aisling was right in front of Joshua, looking at him sadly.

"Joshua. I grant you permission to open the gate." she said seriously, keeping her eyes on him....until Hiro started shooting at Lira.

I nodded slowly. A claw knife in my stomach as I reached for the key. "...I...ask of thee...." "NOPE!" Lira remarked sarcastically, throwing her knife in between the decorative carvings of the key, flying and sticking to the wall. Lira tunred towards Hiro as well, as her gunshot wounds sealed and the bullets popped out. Lira was easily seen red in pain, but nothing overall affected her body before she sealed the wound. Lira quickly dashed and stabbed through Hiro's arms as constantly loud banging was heard elsewhere, but not far. Lira ignored it and threw more knives at Aisling and I. She then went back again towards Anthea. "I thought you were already a goner, huh?" Lira smirked, before the door behind the shelves burst down, the hinges completely broken off. The same room Alexander had once hidden himself and Aisling in. Margaret came down on Lira with Isaac's knives pinning her to the floor. "Motherf*cker!" Margaret said, clearly pissed off as she jammed a heel down on Lira's neck. Her clothes were tattered and worn a bit but her eyes were wide and set off the edge. She proceeded to jam her heel down on Lira. "F*ck. You. Bitch." Margaret snapped and stepped off of Lira, pressing her hair back with her hand, strained.

(O_O PISSED OFF MARGARET.)

Aisling almost caught the key, only to get her hand gashed by the knife. Hiro tried to fight Lira back, however, Hiro soon let her arms fall to their sides. Wounded and limp for now. Hiro's eyes went slightly blank, and Hiro blacked out, falling to the side uncounsious from her wounds. Aisling's arm was stabbed in what seemed like a short time by Lira, tears forming in her eyes. It was now Joshua's pain afflicting her...because Joshua was her keykeeper...and because of Joshua's wounds...and her arm wound...Aisling couldn't hide her pain this time. Like she has been doing.

Anthea just started smiling as Margaret crashed in. The real Margaret.

I felt pain. Physical and emotional pain. Everyone here was hurt...Anthea was just getting over it though. Aisling...me...Hiro...Dante...even Margaret was clearly hurt from whenever Lira or Isaac had gotten to her. Still...I gave a faint smile. Just to see Margaret like that...I guess it was a little brutally funny...but I'm thankful for it. Margaret knelt down, salvaging Lira's knives and proceeding to take the one off of the wall. She caught my key and threw one knife straight onto Lira's palm. "F*cking bitch." She mumbled again. Picking up Hiro and bringing her over her own shoulders, Margaret took Hiro's gun as she carried her, before finally going to Anthea. "Anthea." She started, smirking. Margaret handed Anthea Lira's knives. "Anthea...let's go kick Isaac's ass."

"J-Joshua..." Aisling muttered.

Aisling kept her eyes on Joshua. Not paying attention to anything else around her.

Anthea hopped up, fallowing Margaret quickly.
