Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian~ The ‘Shadows' Case’ ~ [A 1x1 between Neko-chan and CloakedSchemerX]

Posted

-Introduction-
In England after World War I, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, has finished his travels with Dalian and is currently watching her in good health. Hal Kamhout and Flamberge have finished off most of the Phantom Books, but it is still unknown if any still exist. ‘Professor’ and Rasiel have not been seen after the printer-company incident. The girl from the archives still is held within Dalian and the archives are still to access. A new Biblioprincess has been chosen, with a new Key Keeper. After discovery of hundreds of more Phantom Books, what news reporters called ‘The Shadow Case’, has traumatized many villagers and the new, unknown Key Keeper is being called out by the Biblioprincess, The Shadow Case, will have to be taken care of, also the effects of The Shadow Case.

-‘The Shadow Case’-
The Shadow Case takes place of demoniac shadows that come in different forms, some even possessing humans. Effects of the Shadow case include these shadows becoming monsters, burning down towns, causing reverse effects that should not be held in this world. The world is going out of balance because of this case all because of Phantoms Books. That is where the Biblioprincess and Key Keeper come in.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYqg97kSGuA Lyrics:

Miku:

Still...You are...All alone..

The sky is so blue
If only you knew it
If only you knew it...ahh

Meiko:

Where am I?
Even though the sky is blue
What I see is burned sand and rock face

The winds howl
Even though the horizon is far away
I was moved

Dried lakes
Burning fields
Someday they all will get back on the track
So, now I go forward

Even to the far future
There is a way to link
So, do not turn around
We can go through it

Len:

For everybody
That's what they said but...

In the starless sky
Light is overflowing
Since when
Have we been deserted?

The ladder that reaches to the end of the sky
I can't ascend it
In the cold world, holding hands,
We live today as always
We're not lifeless

(Stars, falling stars)

Someone, please give me courage
To face forward without turning back
The iron giant should shake the earth,
Disturb the atmosphere and follow

Even so I'd rather go with someone laughing
Than living all alone
Kick the earth to get onto the atmosphere
Believing in a fate that I can meet you

(So I went around asking everyone today: "does it hurt worse when your shot or when someone pulls a bullet out if you"...the answer was....when they pull the bullet out of you...and I was like: WHAT H

"I'm...I'm fine, Aisling. Don't worry." I said. I looked up to her though. We both were pained. There was no hiding that. "Aisling...do you need this?" I asked. I may not have brought my kunais...but I always brought the pouch. The pouch of Panacea. "Do you need it, Aisling...?"

  • Author

Aisling was very hesitant at Joshua. Yes, it was true. She did need to take this...but she didn't want to use all of the Panacea.

"I will use it....thank you Joshua...." she said quietly.

Aisling took the Panacea out of her keykeepers hand, carefully taking a small sip of the potion before giving it back to Joshua.

"You should have some too Joshua...." she said, looking at him was a small smile.

I gave a short and quick smile to see Aisling drink a bit of the Panacea. I took what remained, staring into the liquid. (This isn't enough to take all my pain away, anyway...I should still....) I thought, cutting myself off. Heeding Aisling, I took a drink of the Panacea, still keeping a bit left. What I drank was no more than two-drops worth. I'm sure I'll need it sometime else....Margaret, still lugging Hiro over her shoulder, walked ahead of everyone else and started going down the two floors of stairs to where Dante and Isaac should be. Lira still lied unconscious on the floor to the side, as well. "I guess we should go." I mumbled. Margaret was already on her way down with Hiro's gun.

  • Author

"Yes. Let's go. Thank you Joshua..." Aisling said, smiling a bit at Joshua.

She grabbed Joshua's hand, and fallowed Margaret.

(SHORT POST/SHOT)

Once Margaret came down the second flight of stairs, she quickly shot Isaac as soon as he was in sight. "Damn. Too bad Hiro doesn't use Dante's golden bullets. Asshole!" Margaret grumbled and fired again to Isaac. Dante stood quickly and backed, clenching a gaping stomach wound that left his blood seeping horribly. His focus was on Hiro, though. The unconscious Hiro.

Holding Aisling's hand I began walking out to follow Margaret as she fired angrily as always. "We might have time, today..." I said to Aisling, a bit...slightly happily. Unusual, as of late. "Not...so damned fast." Lira grumbled. Her wounds regenerated and she spit a bit of blood onto the floor. Without a weapon and sick of everyone getting shot and stabbed, I instinctively screamed. "AISLING! I ask of thee; art thou mankind!?"

  • Author

"Jos—" Aisling was cut off by the bibliotheca and her mind becoming dazed.

"Nay....I am world. The Lost World! The Archrive of 55,555 phantom books. Open the gate to truth!" she seemed to be calling.

The Black Spade in her side ripped open, and Aisling flinched...rather painfully upon Joshua reaching into the Bibliotheca. A small black scroll appeared in Joshua's hands, Aisling's keyhole locking itself up and leaving Aisling on the ground, looking down wide-eyed. One of the most valuable Phantom Books....the Book of Duplication. Joshua held it in his hands.

"Crap...." Lira muttered to herself, barely now realizing she didn't have her weapons on her. She realized that notion just as I did...Margaret had taken her weapons and given them to Anthea. I used the Bibliotheca for nothing. "Shit! I bet it was that f*cking Margaret....." she grumbled, running past Aisling and I. I looked down on Aisling, clenching the scroll and sitting on my knees right beside her. "I'm sorry, Aisling...we were both hurt and I- I panicked...I used it for nothing...I'm sorry."

  • Author

"Joshua. Read the scroll. Lira still has the phantom book against us. She duplicated Margaret....thus meaning that she could still do so with anyone. Read the scroll." Aisling said just loud enough for her and Joshua to hear.

Lira was gone now. She dashed down the stairs, trying to get to Margaret, still lugging Hiro around. I quickly rolled out the scroll, surprised to see it. Not English...not Enochian. "Tu homines, bestias tuam, inter cetera quae omnia cedere sua singularitate. Quamquam quis est individuationis venit experientia. Omnia hominum ac bestiarum vel quasi-residere se ipsos. Sub casu tuo casum duplicata."

  • Author

A shadow like creature emerged from the scroll after Joshua was done reading.

"Attack Isaac and Lira." Aisling commanded.

The shadow creature soon darted off, chasing after Lira.

Aisling looked at Joshua now.

"The book of Duplication....it's one of the most rare phantom books. It possesses dark power..." she muttered.

The shadow both astonished and scared me. It came so quickly and violently, already bursting away towards Lira. "Aisling...is it...going to kill them?"

Lira chased down the stairs, finally seeing Margaret, Dante, and the others. "Margaret...." She grumbled. Changing her arm to a blade, Lira struck at Margaret. It came down instantly and deadly. Until it got to where Hiro was. "Lira." Dante said seriously, echoing throughout the room. A shield like atmosphere of golden light deflected Lira's attack. "When I'm near enough to see her, Lira," Dante spoke as his eyes glistened and gleamed a fiery gold color. "No one hurts Hiro. I've made sure of that." In the distance, a shadow came bursting down as well, soon to attack Lira.

  • Author

"It may...but it may not..." Aisling said, looking over to Joshua.

"I don't---" she was interrupted by a yell. Anthea's yell.

Anthea just began to yell again. Margaret. Margaret. Margaret. Margaret. Over and over again. It actually started getting annoying.

The shadow came up quickly from behind, slashing it's claws right along Lira's back. Scorching marks were left on Lira's back and they began to burn. The shadow's eyes now on Isaac.

Anthea began to yell again, so I decided it'd be best not to speak or at least try over Anthea. I just sat-- waiting for everything to subside. For better or worse. Holding my hand still over the book of duplication, I just...waited.As soon as the shadow began tearing up Lira, Margaret walked down the rest of the staircase to Dante. "Here." Margaret handed Dante the still unconscious yet mostly unharmed Hiro. Dante carried her like a small child, curled up against him. "Thanks...Margaret." He said. It was a reluctant thing to say between the two. "Sure, no problem." Margaret began going up the stairs again. Still with Hiro's gun, she shot a bullet straight at Isaac's chest. It hit him, but he was still conscious. Barely though, panting with barely any vocal power right now from Dante's stab. Margaret smirked, looking at the shadow. "I'll let the real Reaper handle them now." Margaret continued up the stairs until she got to Anthea.

  • Author

The shadow grinned. That's what it appeared to be doing. It rushed towards Isaac, stabbing a sharp claw through him. It turned to Lira, stabbing her too.

Anthea looked at Margaret, and surprisingly hugged her.

"STOP FREAKING ME OUT!" she yelled afterward.

Aisling just watched the reunion between the two.

Margaret smiled a bit. She had never felt so alive and kickin' before. Margaret hugged Anthea back, a bit surprisingly as well. "It's alright, Anthea. It's really me. That bitch is downstairs getting clawed." Margaret laughed a bit. Dante took Hiro away from the creature despite her being unconscious. He went upstairs to where just about everyone else was. "Well, Anthea," Margaret said. "With everything Lira's done..." She continued with a grin. "I guess you could call her a philistine."

  • Author

"Yes. I belive so. A complete Phillistine." Anthea stated bluntly, a smile on her face.

Hiro awoken a bit after, struggling in Dante's arms.

"Let—Me—Go! Dante this is embarrassing...." Hiro snapped.

Aisling looked at Joshua, imminently hugging him.

"Joshua...you didn't use the Bibliotheca for nothing...." She said seriously.

Margaret smirked. She then turned directly to Dante who still held Hiro for a bit despite her whims. "Dante. You still have my scythes, right?" She asked. Behind the conversation, the sounds of clawing was still heard downstairs. Both Lira and Isaac must have been unconscious at the least right now. "They're in the car. However, you'll have to take your old motorcycle along with the books Lira stole." Dante explained, before setting down Hiro gently. "I'm rather surprised you became embarrassed onpy after that, Hiro. After all, both Margaret and I each saved you from Lira." Dante told Hiro, nudging her head slightly. "Alright, Dante. Anthea, you can ride behind me on the main seat if you want." Margaret uttered, looking down at Anthea.

"Thanks Aisling. But I'm not sure...if I used it for a good reason. I know it didn't do a good thing, though." I said to Aisling, embracing her as well. Looking downwards seemingly to the floor in this level of the house, I tuned in to the shadow and listened. Just...thinking again. It really wasn't a good thing at all. Especially...if it'd kill one....

  • Author

"Lira and Isaac....they have been possessed by a Phantom Book. They do not deserve life anymore. They probably won't be killed...." Aisling muttered the last part.

"Lira didn't give me time to attack." Hiro stated bluntly.

"Really?!" Anthea's eyes lit up at Margaret's offer for sitting in the front seat with her.

"But Margaret....where are we going to go....back to Dante's?" She asked.

"Hm...Lira's obviously using a Phantom Book to change herself so much...but...where is it?" I asked aloud. After all, Lira DID take so many books from Dante's. "Well, it's not from me. She's had that book for long now, and I've surely never had it. However, she also has another Phantom Book hidden somewhere. Because of it...I'm very certain Lira has copied each of your memories into her own mind." Dante explained to everyone, but primarily me, before he nudged Hiro again. "Really now, Hiro? Before Margaret came down with you unconscious, I quite certainly recall hearing the gunshots of your gun. No one else here has that kind of gun or your bullets. Right, Hiro?" He smirked down at Hiro again, vaguely trying to get her to feel more embarrassed despite the fact no one else there really cared for embarrassment at the time. Margaret nodded. "Yeah, you can. And we're going to Dante's, we need to give him back his books, not to mention its still barely in the afternoon right now." Margaret mumbled, springing up a recollected idea. "Ah, and of course." Margaret turned, pointing dramatically at Aisling. "Aisling! You owe me a ton of gas money!"

  • Author

"I don't have any money so too bad. If you want money go to back to England. There is my money." Aisling stated rather bluntly.

Hiro turned sharply to Dante, giving him a glare and crossing her arms.

"Yay!" Anthea exclaimed.

"No money? Then I'm not going to stop bugging you about it until you pay your debt. Got it?" Margaret told Aisling as bluntly as her response was. "Remember that too, Joshua, because your Biblioprincess is going to need to get all that money soon." She continued. "Come on, let's go." Margaret said, walking downstairs again towards the main door. Margaret went down the stairs as the shadow continued slashing Isaac. Margaret knelt down and grabbed her motorcycle keys from Lira, kicking the door open and to the motorcycle. "Anthea! Go ahead and keep Lira's weapons that I gave you, alright?"Dante waited with Hiro until Aisling and I began going too.

  • Author

Aisling sighed at Margaret's threat, she stood up uneasily, grabbing Joshua's hand and helping him up. Aisling began walking downstairs with Joshua, Hiro fallowing behind. Once the three were downstairs, the shadow vanished, leaving Isaac and Lira on the ground. Anthea had already opened the door up and was looking for their motorcycle. Aisling heading towards the door.

Dante followed behind everyone incase something happened with Lira or Isaac. Luckily nothing, but he still strolled behind. "Over here, Anthea." Margaret called at the corner of Isaac's home of torture. In between the wall of the house and a hedge, Margaret found her book-filled motorcycle and sat in the front seat, igniting the engine and waiting for Anthea a bit. After a few moments until realization, I walked slower for a few minutes until Dante came up to where I was. "Dante...um...just out of curiosity; I don't really recall you ever shutting off the stove at your home...."

  • Author

Aisling was just about to walk out the door when she heard Joshua. She tensed up and opened the door, stepping out quickly...pretending she heard nothing.

Anthea hopped in the seat with Margaret, clutching onto Usagi who was unbelievably still put together.

(Short post. Time for Sodom to be killed.)

Dante stopped and looked at Joshua for about 2.5 seconds, before proceeding to his side of the car. "Damn it." He muttered under his breath. After Aisling, I stepped into the car on a window seat. Once everyone that was supposed to be in the car were all in the car, Dante drove, rather quickly. Just as quick as he came, in a damned hurry. "Hold on, Anthea. Dante's driving awfully fast. We can get to his speed easily on a motorcycle, though." Margaret smirked. She quickly drove out the side of the house and turned on the street to Dante's direction. She took off with remarkable speed, luckily the road was rather smooth. Sitting down as Dante put the pedal to the metal again, I looked out the window. Watching the street go by and Margaret catching up to us. I still had the Book of Duplication wrapped between my hands.
