Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian~ The ‘Shadows' Case’ ~ [A 1x1 between Neko-chan and CloakedSchemerX]

Posted

-Introduction-
In England after World War I, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, has finished his travels with Dalian and is currently watching her in good health. Hal Kamhout and Flamberge have finished off most of the Phantom Books, but it is still unknown if any still exist. ‘Professor’ and Rasiel have not been seen after the printer-company incident. The girl from the archives still is held within Dalian and the archives are still to access. A new Biblioprincess has been chosen, with a new Key Keeper. After discovery of hundreds of more Phantom Books, what news reporters called ‘The Shadow Case’, has traumatized many villagers and the new, unknown Key Keeper is being called out by the Biblioprincess, The Shadow Case, will have to be taken care of, also the effects of The Shadow Case.

-‘The Shadow Case’-
The Shadow Case takes place of demoniac shadows that come in different forms, some even possessing humans. Effects of the Shadow case include these shadows becoming monsters, burning down towns, causing reverse effects that should not be held in this world. The world is going out of balance because of this case all because of Phantoms Books. That is where the Biblioprincess and Key Keeper come in.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYqg97kSGuA Lyrics:

Miku:

Still...You are...All alone..

The sky is so blue
If only you knew it
If only you knew it...ahh

Meiko:

Where am I?
Even though the sky is blue
What I see is burned sand and rock face

The winds howl
Even though the horizon is far away
I was moved

Dried lakes
Burning fields
Someday they all will get back on the track
So, now I go forward

Even to the far future
There is a way to link
So, do not turn around
We can go through it

Len:

For everybody
That's what they said but...

In the starless sky
Light is overflowing
Since when
Have we been deserted?

The ladder that reaches to the end of the sky
I can't ascend it
In the cold world, holding hands,
We live today as always
We're not lifeless

(Stars, falling stars)

Someone, please give me courage
To face forward without turning back
The iron giant should shake the earth,
Disturb the atmosphere and follow

Even so I'd rather go with someone laughing
Than living all alone
Kick the earth to get onto the atmosphere
Believing in a fate that I can meet you

Aisling looked at Joshua, wrapping her arms around him unexpectedly.

"We will burn the book when we get home....I guess you could call it home..." she muttered.

"Unless you would like the keep the Book of Duplication....Dante...." she said, her eyes turning to him.

Hiro stared bluntly out of the car, a bit mad.

"If we keep it, someone might get to it. So burn it." Dante said bluntly, still driving quickly. I simplistically nodded and pressed the side of my head and hair against the window. "It's like home now...thanks, Dante." I said, with a bit tiring of a voice. It was still barely afternoon though. I couldn't help it— I was tired already. "We're skipping breakfast today, anyways...." I said, closing my eyes but still staying awake. Dante almost gave a snarl but kept his calm demeanor. "...Quite." Is all he said, almost reaching home.

Aisling let Joshua out of her grasp. She looked out the window, into the fields.

Hiro still stared, straightening herself up in her seat.

Anthea stared out of the motorcycle she was in. Determined to get caught up with the others.

"Hiro. What's wrong?" Dante asked her, looking at her for a few moments before drifting back off to the road. Margaret drove faster than Dante rather easily, keeping herself ahead and Anthea basically in between my seat and Hiro's. Before I said anything though, I looked at Dante again. "Dante...sorry if I'm bugging you at this point, but how did you know who Lira was? Back when she came here, you still knew her." I asked Dante. He sighed. "We've had...past occurrences."

  • Author

Hiro looked over at Dante.

"You scared the hell out of me....I didn't think you were going to survive." she said seriously.

Aisling's eyes on Dante.

"Past Occurrences...." she muttered.

Dante gave a fake snarl. "Why? Do you think I'm too old to be able to fight back already?" He asked Hiro, before becoming a bit more literal instead of his sarcasm just now. "Hiro, you worried me too. Although, as long as I'm aware enough to at the very least see you, I've made sure you wouldn't be harmed." Dante said, just as he parked into the driveway. "We're here. Lock your doors before you go." Dante said seriously, almost rushing into the house. (Its not burnt down. That's a start.) Dante thought. You could see plenty of smoke already, though. Most of the fire wore down at the metals and gold of the kitchen so it didn't affect much. Thank goodness it never reached the libraries. Dante proceeded on to extinguish whatever flames were left, but the smoke kept its strong scent.

As Dante left, I stepped out of the car and locked the door as he said. "Past occurences, huh?" I whispered to myself with a sharp grin. (Sure, Dante.) I thought. Margaret set her motorcycle in the driveway as well. Before getting the books in the house, she rushed to Dante's car and grabbed her scythes.

Aisling slipped out of the car, locking the door behind her. She looked over at Hiro who stepped out of the car shocked.

"What the f**k!?" She yelled, looking at the home.

The smell of smoke was clear. Hiro didn't know about this.

The fire was gone rather quickly and easily. However, the smoke and stench would not go away anytime too soon. "Goddamn it." Dante uttered to himself. Margaret chuckled after she got her weapons. "I guess Dante has his moments of mistakes too. This is going to last awhile, though." Margaret complaint after with a sigh. I ceased my unusually sheepish grin, but kept my ideas and looked at Aisling. "Hey, Aisling. Hm...not sure how to say this. But...I never did anything really bad when I was smaller...but now...I think I'm getting a bit of an...urge. I guess it's what other people feel. But while Dante's busy...why not have our fun be a little...mischievous?"

  • Author

Aisling looked down at Joshua.

"I promised you I would do something with you. Didn't I?" She said quietly, a grin on her face.

Hiro was too busy cursing about the fire and Anthea was staring at the house like it was going to jump up and run away.

I grinned again Seeing Aisling okay with this. Why wouldn't she anyway? Just curiosity. "We'll have time to do other fun things too. This won't take long, anyways!" I exclaimed somewhat quietly compared to a normal exclamation. Margaret stood and looked over at Aisling and I grinning and scheming over to the side. "Come on— follow me, Aisling! It might smell a bit bad but all the fire's gone." I dashed into the house and upstairs, all the way down the left side of the hall and to the left again in the last hall, running all the way to the narrow end and opening the doors. Dante's room.

  • Author

Aisling fallowed quickly behind Joshua.

"Dante's room?" she asked.

"What are we going to do here?" Aisling asked, looking at Joshua, then around the room.

"Just...looking for anything that might catch my eye." I said. I began running around Dante's humongous room, looking through things. "Have you paid attention to Dante and Lira? Maybe we'll find a box or something actually labeled Dante and Lira...." I chuckled a bit at the thought. "Dante and Lira were both wearing the same wedding ring! Dante's still wearing it now." I snickered a bit. "Let's see if we can find something...."

  • Author

Aisling looked at Joshua, an imminent smile came to her face.

"They were? I swear you notice the little things." she snickered.

Aisling began looking through drawers, and finding a very small hidden drawer in one of the nightstands. She opened it up and grabbed a rather small box.

"What about this, Joshua?" she chimed.

"Yep! I guess I do sometimes. But that's good, I think!" I exclaimed. I began looking in most places where things like this might be since they obviously weren't together anymore. I checked under the bed and stood on top of a few boxes to look at the top of the closet. Nothing, really. I turned around to Aisling. "Huh? Let me see...!" I said. I walked off the boxes and went over to Aisling. I looked over and carefully opened the box. Yes. Pictures. Letters.

  • Author

"Joshua...do you really think we should be doing this though?" Aisling asked, scanning through pictures and looking at well written letters.

She read about three.

"Dante was really married to Lira." Aisling said happily.

I stared off a bit into the box of secrets and then to Aisling. "I guess not...but its not like Dante seemed as though he'd tell us. Should we tell him, or Hiro something?" I asked Aisling. I put the top back on the box and back where Aisling found it. "What happens in Rome...." I put the box away. "Stays in Rome...and a bit in Poland." I began walking out Dante's bedroom door.

  • Author

"No. This is our secret Joshua." Aisling said, beginning to walk out.

She looked back at the place the box came from for a second, then walking out.

"Okay, Aisling." I agreed without much second thought. I walked out of Dante's room and closed the door behind me. (Hmm...what do we do now?) I thought to myself for a bit. The smoke had all subsided now, however, that pesky scent was still clinging to the air it was just in. I came out the hallway with Aisling and walked towards the room Aisling and I had used the two days we'll slept here. Obliviously, Dante came up as well. The scent would have to go on its own, eventually.

  • Author

Aisling followed Joshua.

"What do you want to do?" she asked, looking at her keykeeper.

(Writers. Block.)

(Yuno's knife skills)

"Hm...." I thought for a second, then turning to Dante. "Oh! Hey, Dante! Can we use the pool in your backyard?" I quickly asked him. He looked at me a bit surprisingly. "Mm...sure. We should have swimming clothes in the closets." He told us, before walking back to his room. I then turned to Aisling. "You know how to swim, right? I used to all the time when I was younger. I haven't been able to in awhile though." I said, before goinf into our room and going through the closets and drawers for swimming shorts.

  • Author

"S-swimming?" Aisling asked a bit surprised.

"Yes...I know how to swim..." she muttered.

Aisling looked at Joshua, then looked at the closets. She began looking through the closet for some either black or navy swim clothing.

"Mm-hmm!" I agreed to Aisling. "Sorry if it seems a bit random or something." I said, finding some swimming shorts. They were definitely able to fit me. They were just a dark blue with the decoration of a tidal wave and its white caps. I went to the next bathroom to change, grabbing a towel from the cabinet in there, too.

  • Author

"It is okay...." Aisling muttered, looking at Joshua before he left.

Finally she found a swimsuit. A one-piece that looked like a dress. It was navy with some white designs. Aisling ran off to a bathroom to change, she changed rather quickly, grabbing a red towel from the cabinets. Soon, Aisling walked out.

Without really much to change into, I came out the bathroom fairly quickly with my swimming shorts and a towel. I set the other clothes as well as my key on my bed before heading out, The window was not only locked, but on the second floor, anyways. I then came down the stairs rather eagerly, going towards the kitchen where I slid open the door to the backyard. The pool was rather large, not too warm or cold in this time of day. Margaret drank a calm cup of warm tea to calm herself a bit. Mainly from Lira. (Ah, Joshua's still a kid. Even if he is a Keykeeper.) Margaret thought. "Come on, Aisling!" I called from the doorway. After hanging my towel, I proceeded to go around the pool and climb the ladder to the diving board.

(Joshua and his adorableness)

Aisling quickly followed Joshua, a small smile on her face. She hadn't gone swimming in a long time. Aisling placed her towel on a small table, walking over to the stairs to the water. Carefully, she stepped in, going rather deep into the water.
