Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian~ The ‘Shadows' Case’ ~ [A 1x1 between Neko-chan and CloakedSchemerX]

Posted

-Introduction-
In England after World War I, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, has finished his travels with Dalian and is currently watching her in good health. Hal Kamhout and Flamberge have finished off most of the Phantom Books, but it is still unknown if any still exist. ‘Professor’ and Rasiel have not been seen after the printer-company incident. The girl from the archives still is held within Dalian and the archives are still to access. A new Biblioprincess has been chosen, with a new Key Keeper. After discovery of hundreds of more Phantom Books, what news reporters called ‘The Shadow Case’, has traumatized many villagers and the new, unknown Key Keeper is being called out by the Biblioprincess, The Shadow Case, will have to be taken care of, also the effects of The Shadow Case.

-‘The Shadow Case’-
The Shadow Case takes place of demoniac shadows that come in different forms, some even possessing humans. Effects of the Shadow case include these shadows becoming monsters, burning down towns, causing reverse effects that should not be held in this world. The world is going out of balance because of this case all because of Phantoms Books. That is where the Biblioprincess and Key Keeper come in.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYqg97kSGuA Lyrics:

Miku:

Still...You are...All alone..

The sky is so blue
If only you knew it
If only you knew it...ahh

Meiko:

Where am I?
Even though the sky is blue
What I see is burned sand and rock face

The winds howl
Even though the horizon is far away
I was moved

Dried lakes
Burning fields
Someday they all will get back on the track
So, now I go forward

Even to the far future
There is a way to link
So, do not turn around
We can go through it

Len:

For everybody
That's what they said but...

In the starless sky
Light is overflowing
Since when
Have we been deserted?

The ladder that reaches to the end of the sky
I can't ascend it
In the cold world, holding hands,
We live today as always
We're not lifeless

(Stars, falling stars)

Someone, please give me courage
To face forward without turning back
The iron giant should shake the earth,
Disturb the atmosphere and follow

Even so I'd rather go with someone laughing
Than living all alone
Kick the earth to get onto the atmosphere
Believing in a fate that I can meet you

I was probably the first to sleep along with Aisling, and then Margaret afterwards, followed by Anthea and then Hiro.

Almost midnight, around 11:50, Anthea's bedroom door quietly crept open. Dante stepped in, bringing Usagi and giving Usagi right beside Anthea, like a child's bear. (I can still remember.) Dante left and closed the door behind him, before going back to his own room, and eventually going to sleep himself.

Hiro threw a book against the wall at about seven in the morning.

"Stupid books...." She muttered.

Aisling turned around in her bed, rather disturbed by Hiro.

"Stupid books..." Hiro said again, picking up the book and throwing it at her door before getting ready for the day.

"Nnnngh." I groaned when Hiro threw the book. (Its barely seven. There's no way I'm getting up....) I thought to myself, tiringly burrowing myself back into my pillow and under the blankets. With a short sigh before, Hiro's room door burst open. "Hiro." Dante said with a bold tone. "No throwing books. We've been through this."

  • Author

Hiro crossed her arms.

"Then why is it that every book I pick up ends terribly?" She asked, looking up at Dante.

Aisling turned over and opened her eyes slightly, looking at Joshua whom was hiding her covers. She didn't say anything though.

"I'll shoot a f*cking hole in your wall if you wake me up again, Hiro!! Stop with the damn book-throwing!!" Margaret yelled past the wall that separated their rooms. Dante sighed. "No need to throw a bad book, Hiro." Dante muttered, picking up the book. "I presume you're not going to re-read this. I'll store it back in the library." He said, walking out and closing the room door.

Hiro looked sharply at the wall between her and Margaret's room.

"Shut up Margaret." she grumbled, starting to get ready.

It took her about thirty minutes to get dressed, Aisling had already fallen asleep again.

Margaret banged loudly against the wall. (Why the Hell doesn't she take after Dante, yet!? Even Anthea and I have more similarities.) Margaret thought, turning over in bed and trying to sleep again. Dante went downstairs and into the library again, storing the book that Hiro may have almost broke the rim of. He sighed. "I've told her for the umpteenth time...when will she even stop?" Dante asked himself under his breath. Soon, Margaret went back to sleep, and I was already asleep at the time.

(Random type on roleplays time)

Hiro eventually made her way downstairs dressed in her normal black and scarlet dress.

"So, what did I do to that book?" she asked upon reaching Dante.

Anthea could be heard getting ready, she woke up as Margaret did actually.

Dante glared at Hiro. "You almost broke the rim of the book. Without the rim, nothing would support the rest of the book and the pages would soon collapse along with the cover and back. Do not throw the books, Hiro." Dante ordered, upon locking the library again. He sat down in the foyer again, reading his own book. This one was English though, as reading Enochian was troublesome even for Dante a bit.

"Without a keykeeper, the library within me would collapse. I would die a painful death from the inside out. The library would be lost forever and the books burned." Hiro said, looking at Dante.

"It's happened before Dante...." She said, looking down.

"It almost happened to Dalian...." Hiro muttered.

Anthea opened the door to her room, starting to walk down the hall.

"Precisely...." Dante muttered, closing his book and setting it down. "Hugh Anthony Disward and Dalian are both in well conditions, living back in England...in fact from the same city as from where Aisling and Joshua had come from, however." He spoke again, standing up and glancing down to Hiro as Anthea had began walking down. "But why mention Dalian now, Hiro?" Dante asked rather seriously.

  • Author

"Why Dalian...?" Hiro asked then going silent.

Anthea made her way beside Hiro.

"...Some of us here just reminds me of her..." She said quietly.

"Dalian?!" Anthea asked, looking at Hiro.

Dante thought for a bit, pressing his thumb and index finger against his chin. "I don't quite understand, Hiro. What similarities between...'some of us' do you see with Dalian? I'd presume Hugh as well." Dante looked at Anthea for a moment when she came down. (Anthea doesn't strike me as a Dalian completely. Though on several terms....) Dante thought again, then looking up. (If Anthea was the Dalian of us...Margaret would not fit for Hugh. As for the other two....)

  • Author

Hiro looked up at Dante.

"Well...I would actually kind of compare us two to them actually..." she muttered.

Anthea's eye lit up.

"Yup! You two actually are kind of like Huey and Dalian!" she explained.

"I guess we are..." Hiro agreeded.

Dante looked suddenly down at Hiro. "Hm? Us?" He pondered aloud, glancing at Anthea as well. "Heh, I suppose we are in some cases. There are our differences though." Dante told Anthea and Hiro, before upholding an idea of his own. "Perhaps, though, we can put this comparison to test. Maybe after all this madness and bedlam subsides, we can return Aisling and Joshua to their homes, and visit Hugh and Dalian. Meeting other Key Keepers and Biblioprincesses would be good for us. Not to mention, I've heard the bread there is simply delicious. We should go, sometime." Dante suggested.

  • Author

Hiro and Anthea imminently fell silent.

"You better make sure we don't end up captured or anything." Hiro said bluntly.

Anthea looked up at Dante, a smile on her face.

"Thank you Dante for fixing Usagi!" She said happily.

"Maybe you could go fix us breakfast....unless we have to go out somewhere to eat." Hiro stated.

Anthea nodded in agreement.

"I'll keep that ensured, Hiro....." Dante told her, before turning to Anthea, looking down with a faint smile as well. "You're welcome, Anthea. I'm grateful you didn't awaken when I gave you Usagi in the middle of the night. Just be sure to acknowledge me whenever Usagi is torn again." Dante said, sitting back in the foyer recliner. "As for the food...we'll have to wait. I have been meaning to take everyone out to eat breakfast and likely even lunch and dinner later...however, it seems as though Margaret, Joshua, and Aisling are all still deep in their slumber."

  • Author

"Can we go wake them up?" Hiro and Anthea asked at the same time.

They actually didn't get mad at each other for doing so this time.

"Where would we go anyway?" Hiro asked, staring at Dante.

"You two really are so much alike." Dante said to both Anthea and Hiro, as his eyes seemed to trail up the stairs. "Hm... I won't stop you from waking them. But they'll probably be mad at you...specifically Margaret. Make it somewhat humorous for me to listen to with their reactions...and awaken them." Dante laughed for a moment.

  • Author

"Why don't you go wake up Margaret?" Anthea asked.

Hiro gave a small nod before the two dashed up the stairs. Aisling twitched in her bed, turning over to see Hiro.

"What do you want Hiro?" Aisling asked, tired.

"Wake up!" she said loudly.

Dante gave a blank stare to Anthea and Hiro, sighing, "So be it." He walked upstairs, passing by Anthea and Hiro with Aisling, and to the second-last room of this side of the house— Margaret's room. He opened it, seeing Margaret dead asleep. Dante smirked, and appeared to trace his gaze across the ceiling, as if finding a certain field of effect. Once he finished he calmly uttered Enochian: "AVAVAGO...!" Right above the field Dante had imagined, outside and right above Margaret's room, a single thunder roared and shook mainly only Margaret's room. She immediately woke up, bringing a scythe to Dante's neck— to which Dante easily and nonchalantly knocked to the ground. "It's time to get up, Margaret." He said with an innocent smile, "We all need to go eat. You can change." Dante closed the door and Margaret grumbled to herself. She went to the room closet and started picking her clothes. Even after the roar of thunder just about a room away, I still ended up staying asleep— as dead asleep as ever.

  • Author

Aisling sighed and sat up.

"I'm up..." She sighed, looking at Hiro and Anthea.

The two smiled and dashed over to Joshua, shaking him.

"Joshuaaa!! Wake up!" The two called.

Aisling sighed and began looking for some clothes.

Dante strolled on past the others again, as Margaret came out of her room with a new dress-- one like her first-- basically with the style of a French maid. A French maid with Gothic cosmetics. I just groaned and turned away from Anthea and Hiro, covering myself more with sheets and keeping myself against the wall. "Stooooop. It's still early...." I muttered, shrouding all of myself completely under the sheets.

  • Author

"Anthea, Hiro....go away." Aisling snapped.

Anthea and Hiro didn't say a word before dashing away.

Aisling slowly walked to Joshua's bed.

"Joshua...you need to get up....okay? Everyone else is. If you're still tired later you can take a nap..." Aisling said quietly.

"Okay?" she asked.

Hiro and Anthea both stopped when they saw Margaret.

"Margaret looks like a maid about to work for Dante~!" Anthea teased.

Hiro laughed and walked off, looking for Dante again.

I groaned in bed, sighing somewhat loudly as I rolled myself out of the blankets. "...Okay, Aisling." I got up rather slowly and walked to the other side of the room, sitting down as I searched through the drawers for clothes. My eyes were still weighing down a bit and my hair was still what was referred to as a 'bedhead'.

Dante chuckled quietly to himself as well, hearing Anthea's comment. Margaret simply stared at Anthea with a cold and lifeless gaze. "I'll also be the maid who sends your ass flying to the damn moon. Maybe we can replace you with Lira after that."
