Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian~ The ‘Shadows' Case’ ~ [A 1x1 between Neko-chan and CloakedSchemerX]

Posted

-Introduction-
In England after World War I, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, has finished his travels with Dalian and is currently watching her in good health. Hal Kamhout and Flamberge have finished off most of the Phantom Books, but it is still unknown if any still exist. ‘Professor’ and Rasiel have not been seen after the printer-company incident. The girl from the archives still is held within Dalian and the archives are still to access. A new Biblioprincess has been chosen, with a new Key Keeper. After discovery of hundreds of more Phantom Books, what news reporters called ‘The Shadow Case’, has traumatized many villagers and the new, unknown Key Keeper is being called out by the Biblioprincess, The Shadow Case, will have to be taken care of, also the effects of The Shadow Case.

-‘The Shadow Case’-
The Shadow Case takes place of demoniac shadows that come in different forms, some even possessing humans. Effects of the Shadow case include these shadows becoming monsters, burning down towns, causing reverse effects that should not be held in this world. The world is going out of balance because of this case all because of Phantoms Books. That is where the Biblioprincess and Key Keeper come in.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYqg97kSGuA Lyrics:

Miku:

Still...You are...All alone..

The sky is so blue
If only you knew it
If only you knew it...ahh

Meiko:

Where am I?
Even though the sky is blue
What I see is burned sand and rock face

The winds howl
Even though the horizon is far away
I was moved

Dried lakes
Burning fields
Someday they all will get back on the track
So, now I go forward

Even to the far future
There is a way to link
So, do not turn around
We can go through it

Len:

For everybody
That's what they said but...

In the starless sky
Light is overflowing
Since when
Have we been deserted?

The ladder that reaches to the end of the sky
I can't ascend it
In the cold world, holding hands,
We live today as always
We're not lifeless

(Stars, falling stars)

Someone, please give me courage
To face forward without turning back
The iron giant should shake the earth,
Disturb the atmosphere and follow

Even so I'd rather go with someone laughing
Than living all alone
Kick the earth to get onto the atmosphere
Believing in a fate that I can meet you

Dante glanced over as he ate his soup. He swallowed, "Hiro is correct, Aisling. The only books I tend to abolish are dangerous non-Enochian Phantom Books, and of course, any books that Hiro here manages to ruin." Dante said and smirked, both sarcastically and literally. "Mostly by throwing them at the wall." Dante continued with a short glare at Hiro. "Regardlessly, I have the books in my library arranged accordingly to the alphabet of it's written language, rather than by any alphabetical arrangements on the author, so as long as you know the titles of some of his books, you should be perfectly able to locate his books with relative ease." He finished and continued eating, just as Margaret had finished her's. It was relatively fast like Anthea, but had less food to eat, as the steaks weren't necessarily large. Dante was almost done as well, while I still had a bit left. Not too much...but not so little. Margaret didn't have a need to mention anything, so finished the last of her champagne.

Aisling soon finished eating and Anthea stared at Margaret.

"Hey Margareettt....what if you really dooo get drunk?" Anthea asked with a small laugh.

Hiro was the last to finish.

"Well, we are done we should get going." she said seriously.

"Don't talk like that, it'll get annoying." Margaret glared at Anthea as Dante had finished his soup. He called on the waitress to bring the bill so he could pay for it all. "Wait, wait, wait! I still need to finish...!" I complaint to Dante and Hiro as he got the money. "Finish now. You don't have much left." He muttered, proceeding to pay as I ate the last few noodles and drank the juice of the soup rather quickly. "Okay...I'm done....." I said calmly, finishing my tea as well. I got out of my seat so some of the others could leave too. Dante did the same for Margaret.

"Go on and pay Dante, me, Aisling and Joshua are going to the car." Hiro said rather quickly.

"B-but..." Aisling stuttered but Hiro grabbed Aisling's arm and starting dragging her out the door.

Aisling quickly grabbed Joshua's hand before he was left behind. Anthea went trailing a long the three.

"Alright." Dante hesitated. "Be careful." He slowly said afterwards as they left— Margaret staying with him as he paid in the front. Holding Aisling's hand, I ran beside her and slightly behind Hiro. "Um, Hiro, why are we leaving Dante for now? He won't take long...." I muttered to Hiro as we walked. We opened the exit door and walked out, the car already in sight.

(Well, I'm pretty darn bad at acting out a waitress, apparently. I just can't do it— ended up so obvious....but that doesn't matter....!) Lira thought to herself after transforming into her regular body from the waitress outfit. She quickly grabbed my free hand and pulled away from Aisling. "Hey, you know, I'm sure most of you noticed me sometime ago, and I honestly only came to get some of your memories, but I could just NOT wait any longer!!" Lira exclaimed, pullung me closer to her. "Ha! You know you're a little cute when you're clueless!~" She teased. I just managed to squirm my arm away and run back to the others, as Lira kept a somewhat loose grip. She didn't come back after any of us, but stood there in the slight distance without any provocation. She glared at me, however, "You're not very far from some answers, kid. Would you like me to tell you?"

Aisling grabbed Joshua's hand and put him between her and Hiro. Hiro holding one of his hand, Aisling the other.

"If you come back near us Lira, you're going to get shot." Hiro snapped.

Anthea glared at Lira and stood behind Joshua, the three making a human shield for him.

Lira rolled her eyes, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm not here to kill anyone yet." She sneered, drifting her eyes to me and chuckling a bit again. "Ha, I still can't believe it was YOU! Talk about irony...." She teased, glancing back for a moment. I stood quiet, not wanting to get too involved...hopefully she'd go away. She just looked back and teased more though. "Here, I'll tell you, kid! I'm sure you had never even thought it was your old pal Dante there who—" "OXEX RACLIR!" Dante quickly interrupted with an Enochian chant, Lira stumbling down to the floor, vomiting and weeping violently. I grew a bit sick to even look at her like that, and she looked far worse. I just got closer to Aisling as Dante and Margarey walked up. "Did I not say they wouldn't finish their sentence? She certainly didn't. Vomit and tears don't go well together, quite a sickly experience. Now then, let us go." Dante walked ahead to the car. Margaret sneered at Lira, and I followed behind, averting my eyes and ears from Lira. "Doing anything to physically harm her would merely draw us attention, anyways."

  • Author

"Thank you Dante for doing that." Aisling said with a small smile.

The three girls parted from their human shield and arranged themselves in the car, Hiro on the far left, Anthea in the middle, Aisling on the right, and Joshua basically in Aisling's lap.

"Lira is scary...." Anthea complaint.

"Th-thanks, Dante...." I stuttered a bit, saying nothing more as Margaret took the passenger seat, Dante took the driver's seat and drove away calmly. I was still nauseous from seeing and hearing Lira vomit, who probably still was. I was always nauseated rather easily, but I held it in, simply feeling a little sick to my stomach. (I wonder what she was...going to say...I guess it doesn't matter. She always lies....) I thought to myself, feeling a bit more comforted with Aisling and the others now. "Thank-you, Aisling...Anthea, Hiro too...I'm glad she didn't do anything to us...." I muttered again, talking in an even lower tone than usual. "Lira's merely going to keep trying to antagonize you all...hopefully you'll all learn to handle it eventually." Dante said as he drove. We weren't far from home. I just blankly stared out the window, seeing the other vehicles passing by and being bypassed, as well as the signs and posts. I saw several things about a rally being held rather soon as well.

(Huey is so cute~)

Aisling nodded.

"You are welcome. Joshua." She said.

Hiro gave a small smile.

"Your welcome Joshua!" Anthem said happily.

Hiro kept her watching out the window, Anthea gripped onto Usagi and kept her attention on literally nothing. Aisling kept her eyes on Joshua.

(So kawaii~)

I gave another faint smile and continued looking out the window as we bypassed everything and headed home. It started to feel like home, at least. (Aisling, Anthea, and Hiro seem to have grown on each other already. Dante too. I guess Margaret's kind of...solitary...but we're all almost like a family already.)

  • Author

"When we get back I have to find that book." Aisling thought.

Hiro looked at Anthea.

"So Anthea aren't you going to tell us where you got Usagi? Why you want to keep it a secret from us?" Hiro asked, looking straight at her golden eyes.

Anthea looked at Hiro.

"I'm not telling you." she snapped.

"It's fine if you don't want to tell us, Anthea...I mean...I think I know how you feel...except a little different...but I'm sure nothing will really change if you tell us." I said— or stuttered— a bit hesitantly. I just trailed my eyes down a bit afterwards, not wanting to bug Anthea and get on her bad side. Dante and Margaret didn't seem to really care all too much, but they both listened in.

(I have no choice but to post on this.)

"My father gave me this. My mother made it before her death. He gave it to me as a present, then he went to fight in the war." Anthea said, looking at Usagi.

"I had to learn myself I was a biblioprincess and I ran around to find my keykeeper. I was almost killed by Margaret until I saw her key, and she was my keykeeper." she summed up.

"There is more to the story but that is the sum of it." Anthea said with a small smile.

Aisling was silent, not questioning.

"What an ironic story..." Hiro sighed.

"Oh...well, I'm sorry, Anthea...but it's good that you still have Usagi. I'd keep Usagi for as long as I could, like you, too." I said a bit calmer, glancing over to Usagi. Dante reared up the car to the driveway— home again. Dante and Margaret got out first, as Dante left to open the gate and door. I opened my door and exited as well, off of Aisling's lap.

  • Author

Hiro climbed on out and Aisling got out with Anthea.

"The key is all you have left of your family, isn't it Joshua?" Anthea asked.

"The mansion is all Aisling has left." she said soon after.

Aisling nodded and Hiro looked at Dante.

I held the key in my hand and glared down at it. "Well...kind of. I mean...I had never seen the key until after everything...happened. So it can't really...be a memento of any kind. I guess now that I think about it, I don't have anything? , really. When I was little, I used to have an 'Usagi' of my own too, though. He was a little stuffed tiger, and I carried him almost everywhere. I loved him a lot, and he gave me company. I would still be carrying him around today, but...he was burnt alongside...everything else." I sighed, realizing I began to go on a bit. I glanced to Anthea and Usagi, then to Aisling. Dante looked back at Hiro. "You've rarely ever said a word of your own family, Hiro. None at all to anyone here but me, actually." Dante said calmly, with mere implications rather than trying to get Hiro to say anything. He continued and opened the door to the house.

"I don't care about my family. If they are going to despise me because of my heterochromia and me being a biblioprincess then that is their choice. Dante is more of a father to me than anything." Hiro snapped, clutching onto Dante.

"What if I bought you something, Joshua?" Aisling asked.

I looked at Hiro a bit sadly now, Dante holding her closely. No one here really had any still-good thoughts of their parents here. Either anger-driven or saddening. Dante, however, was the one who hadn't said anything of his. I looked back up at Aisling for a moment though, holding onto her hand and walking in the house. "You don't have to buy me anything, Aisling...but thanks." I smiled.

  • Author

"So you can buy me stuff and help me a lot and all I can give is a 'Thank you', yet you won't let me get something for you?" Ailing asked, looking straight at Joshua.Anthea giggled, standing straight beside Margaret. "Hey Dante, you never told us about your family." She said.Hiro sighed.

"N-no, that's not what I'm saying...I guess...but, you really don't have to get me anything...I like helping you and everything...I don't need anything in return for something I enjoy...." I said a bit nervously to Aisling, looking down to the ground a bit. Margaret smirked, curious to hear how Dante was raised, actually. Dante merely gave a slight scoff. "There is nothing particularly interesting about my family. Once you come to my age, you learn to submit into the fact that people die. Death is a part of life itself."

  • Author

"That can't be it...." Anthea complaint.

"It is." Hiro snapped.

Aisling looked down at Joshua.

"Don't worry about it Joshua." she said with a small smile.

"Oh? What did you expect?" Dante smirked, asking Anthea. Once everyone was inside, Dante closed the door. I smiled as Aisling did, as usual, then looked up at her for a moment. "So, Aisling, do you want to go look for that book?" I asked, somewhat enthusiastically.(Short post....)

(*glomps Schemer* It's okay. Hi Schemer. I haven't seen you in a while.)

"Yup!" Aisling said with a smile.

Anthea tugged on Aisling sleeve.

"I wanna help too!" She exclaimed.

Aisling nodded.

"Alright Anthea." She said happily.

"I'll pass." Hiro yawned.

(*is glomped* Hi, Neko-chan. It's because of school and band.... ;~;)I smiled a bit more, with Usagi reminding me of my old stuffed animal. "Heh, yeah, it'll be a lot easier for everyone we get to help! Do you know any of the names of the books your dad wrote?" I asked Aisling, opening the rather large doors to the library...but to no avail of course. "Um...Dante...it's locked...." I muttered a bit, slumping myself down by the door for a little bit. Dante chuckled and opened the door.
