Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian~ The ‘Shadows' Case’ ~ [A 1x1 between Neko-chan and CloakedSchemerX]

Posted

-Introduction-
In England after World War I, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, has finished his travels with Dalian and is currently watching her in good health. Hal Kamhout and Flamberge have finished off most of the Phantom Books, but it is still unknown if any still exist. ‘Professor’ and Rasiel have not been seen after the printer-company incident. The girl from the archives still is held within Dalian and the archives are still to access. A new Biblioprincess has been chosen, with a new Key Keeper. After discovery of hundreds of more Phantom Books, what news reporters called ‘The Shadow Case’, has traumatized many villagers and the new, unknown Key Keeper is being called out by the Biblioprincess, The Shadow Case, will have to be taken care of, also the effects of The Shadow Case.

-‘The Shadow Case’-
The Shadow Case takes place of demoniac shadows that come in different forms, some even possessing humans. Effects of the Shadow case include these shadows becoming monsters, burning down towns, causing reverse effects that should not be held in this world. The world is going out of balance because of this case all because of Phantoms Books. That is where the Biblioprincess and Key Keeper come in.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYqg97kSGuA Lyrics:

Miku:

Still...You are...All alone..

The sky is so blue
If only you knew it
If only you knew it...ahh

Meiko:

Where am I?
Even though the sky is blue
What I see is burned sand and rock face

The winds howl
Even though the horizon is far away
I was moved

Dried lakes
Burning fields
Someday they all will get back on the track
So, now I go forward

Even to the far future
There is a way to link
So, do not turn around
We can go through it

Len:

For everybody
That's what they said but...

In the starless sky
Light is overflowing
Since when
Have we been deserted?

The ladder that reaches to the end of the sky
I can't ascend it
In the cold world, holding hands,
We live today as always
We're not lifeless

(Stars, falling stars)

Someone, please give me courage
To face forward without turning back
The iron giant should shake the earth,
Disturb the atmosphere and follow

Even so I'd rather go with someone laughing
Than living all alone
Kick the earth to get onto the atmosphere
Believing in a fate that I can meet you

Aisling looked down and shook her head.

"No....all I can remember was seeing him write...and before I was sent to the mansion I saw some books with our last name on them...." She said a bit sadly, stepping into the library with Joshua and Anthea.

"Hm...Well...either way, I'm sure we can find it in here, somewhere. Let's just look around." I said, with a slightly tired and calm voice. I just began wandering the aisles and aisles of books.

(SCHEMER EVERYONE MAKES SHORT POST)

Anthea started running around on the carpeted floor of Dante's library, searching up and down. Aisling found the English books and started looking around for 'Tornin'.

I did the same as Aisling did, but starting from the other side instead. I just skimmed through all the books, searching for 'Tornin.' The room was huge, filled with a ton of bookshelves in which all were of course filled with books. Who knew how long it'd take? I continued a bit quietly, going over to the next bookshelf and hearing the heavy library doors close.

(I had clairvoyant moments last night and I never post on this in my clairvoyant moments so I must post on this.)

"A-Aisling..." Anthea called.

"Yes?" Aisling answered, still looking around for the books.

"Can we go and get Dante? He might be able to help us..." Anthea asked.

"Run off to get him, drag Hiro too." Aisling said seriously.

Anthea nodded and began running towards the door, upon opening it she found Dante in no time.

"Dante...we need your help..." she said, looking up at him.

Dante looked at Anthea for a few moments, walking in and closing the just-opened doors. "Anthea...why are you always the first? I suppose I can be an...opportunist sometimes."

A hand quickly wrapped over Aisling's mouth, and an injection stabbed into her shoulder. Just to make her feel rather...woozy and dreadfully tired. A stab was easily strewn into Anthea's stomach in the meantime. With a smirk, Lira covered Anthea's mouth, bringing her to Isaac, who held Aisling. He then held both of them by the mouth, injecting Anthea as well. Lira glanced around. (Now...for the boy....)

(DANG IT SCHEMER!!!!)

Hiro yawned, stepping behind Dante.

"Hey Dante....does something seem off to you?" she asked, looking at her keykeeper.

Despite her being exhausted, Aisling thrashed around, kicking Isaac with the back of her heel strongly once, enough for her to break free.

"Joshua!!! Run!!!" she yelled.

Due to the injection, she stayed on her hands and knees.

Anthea was screaming, thrashing around and crying. She couldn't be heard though...she was weaker than Aisling, and Anthea quickly fell unconscious.

"Dante!" Hiro snapped, looking up at him.

"They are in trouble you idiot!! At this rate I grant you permission to open my bibliotheca!" she snapped.

Isaac quickly grabbed Aisling again, pulling her back and stomping her heel to the side, while once again covering her mouth. "You've always been a bit of a handful...." Isaac nudged himself against Aisling's cheek, whispering in her ear. "It clearly pains you to see Joshua in such distress." Isaac softened up his voice, dropping the unconscious Anthea and pulling his skinning kinfe again, as a mere tool for threatening. He brought the dagger to her lower stomach. "And you do your best to help and mend him...even avenge or protect...." Isaac grinned, "But at times, you have to help yourself to even get to that point! But once you do...there's still no resolution. You will solve nothing."

As soon as Aisling called out for me, Lira turned to a flock of black crows, quickly speeding and trapping me. She grabbed my mouth and held me tight. I squirmed, kicked, and tried screaming. I wasn't strong enough. Lira smirked herself, "Can you guess what Dante did to you?"

Dante looked off, dazed for a moment. (Lira...I know she isn't here to kill. She's just an empathetic sadist...wants us to experience strife until we all break apart.) He thought calmly, looking down at Hiro after. "Ah...of course, Hiro." He muttered. For the first in a while, he took his key. "I ask of thee...art thou mankind?"

"Nay...I am world! The Future World!"Hiro said in a voice unlike her own.

"Abyss of 88,888 Phantom Books! Open the gate of secrets!" She said, her keyhole revealing itself.

Two books appeared in Dante's hands, one in Enochian, and the other in English. She screamed in pain as the books were ripped from the Bibliotheca.

She stuttered to the ground, looking up at Dante.

Aisling's eyes widen, shaking in Isaac's grasp. Her vision started to blur, but kept trying to break free.

Lira whispered into my ear, my eyes widening, and instantly shedding tears. "H-he...he did that?" I stuttered, gulping, as.Lira let me go. "Yeah. He really did. But he's here— why not ask him?" She suggested. "I'll even go with you. Make sure all the details are spilled out...." She grinned. My tears flowed like never before...I felt like screaming in anger...but I wad too upset to even do that. Isaac shrugged, dropping Aisling straight to the floor. What was done— was done.

"My apologies, Hiro...stay here. Safe." Dante ordered Hiro, opening the library doors again, seeing Isaac, Aisling, and Anthea to his left. Lira and I came from a corner, to his right. Seeing him filled me with even more dread, I just burst in tears.

Aisling layed on her hands on the ground, coughing a bit and managing to stand up.

"Dante!! Margaret!!" She called, looking at the unconscious and badly wounded Anthea.

Hiro stayed put, hugging her knees, she listened.

Aisling stumbled to where Dante was, seeing Joshua made her run to his side and just hug him. That was all she could do.

"Joshua...what happened...calm down...." She said softly.

Her hands were trembling, unaware of what Lira had told him.

Isaac grinned at Aisling's pain, and at my emotional distress. A bit of blood splattered from behind him, the blood being shed across his face. Margaret's scythe was at the direct angle of his back. He smiled innocently for a second as he looked back. A blade portruding from his spine clashed with Margaret's scythe, piercing her shoulder deeply. Margaret coughed blood, "You son of a—" "I suppose most people don't expect the possibility of a retaliation. Especially when its a spinal sword." Isaac remarked, slashing upwards with his blade.

Dante stood in a momentary shock. He knew. But what would happen, here? I held Aisling tightly, clenching any minor wound she had, just crying without end. "Da- Dante...he...was...." I could hardly speak. Lira took the honor with ease. "Dante is the one who made Joshua who he is now. Dante is the one who brought him to Aisling. Dante is the one who left the key for him. But, all in all, Dante is the one who.led how things would turn out— starting from when Dante decided to burn every last speckle of Joshua's home to the ground! Including the parents, of course."

(Yay plot twist)

Aisling looked at Lira, then Joshua and just kept him in her arms.

"Dante...before me, Joshua, Anthea, and Margaret all leave here in one piece, you will find my fathers book, apologize to Joshua, and tend to our wounds. If you do not, you will be killed alongside Hiro." Aisling snapped.

Hiro's eyes widen when she heard this. She stood up and barged into the doorway.

"You will not kill anyone Aisling!" Hiro yelled, pulling her gun and pointing it at Aisling.

"Hiro! I told you to stay back, so STAY!" Dante scolded, unusually loudly. He turned to Aisling. You will not do anything to us, Aisling, nor can you." He stated seriously. Lira and Isaac watched with delight, and I stood holding onto Aisling. "Despite the fact...that I do indeed regret it, and admit that it was rash...it worked. If it weren't for it, Joshua would simply not be here with us. He would not have to deal with anything involving Isaac and Lira, or the Phantom Books! But even so, he would be just as much, if not moreso a likely subject to death, with the Hell on Earth the war has wrought here! He and his family...may have just as well been dead without my intervention...." I trembled in fear, and even Dante began slightly quivering in anger and remorse. "You, Aisling, would have someone else standing by your side. Joshua would have never been a figment of your thoughts, and you would love your keykeeper just as much, protecting them just as much! I did what I did in order...no, in attempt to eradicate this rotten world from at least the Phantoms! The humans of wickedness, though...could and will never leave. Joshua could die, even now, but known by us as he is— and he who helped in the eradication, in the libricide of the Phantoms. But...the innocents who suffer...leave nothing behind. I thought it was time...to make amends." Dante finally finished, dropping the two Phantom Books he had to the floor. There was no need, as of now.

I clenched onto Aisling even tighter, I was drowned in thought. (Why didn't I have a choice!? Dante chose! Not me! Why did my mom and dad...die for it! But....) I cried even more, my grip on Aisling loosening. (It would either be them...oe Aisling...even now...who...who would I choose??) Dante's eyes glowed with a fiery passion and grief. He glared directly at me. "I am sorry, however. Truly...I do regret having done that. But what was cannot be altered."

Hiro lowered her gun, shaking her head. She wasn't going back.

"I can do something to you! It's not that hard Dante!" Aisling snapped.

"Joshua would simply not be here with us. He would not have to deal with anything involving Isaac and Lira, or the Phantom Books!" Dante yelled.

Aisling held onto Joshua, shaking her head.

"he would be just as much, if not moreso a likely subject to death, with the Hell on Earth the war has wrought here! He and his family...may have just as well been dead without my intervention" he continued.

Dante turned to Aisling and she tensed up, "You, Aisling, would have someone else standing by your side. Joshua would have never been a figment of your thoughts, and you would love your keykeeper just as much, protecting them just as much!" he yelled.

"Lies!!!" Aisling yelled.

"How can you be sorry?! It's too late now...!" she snapped.

Dante sighed, with the slightest relief that, in the least, Hiro lowered her gun. "You'd be wise to not try. Anything involving hurting Hiro, be it direct or otherwise, will not be tolerable. I truly don't want to fight back as it is. But I will, if necessary." Dante sneered, glaring over to Lira and Isaac next, as they vanished, Lira taking Isaac with him, away from the scene. He turned back to Aisling and the rest. Anthea still lied unconscious. "No amount of apology will compensate. But I am...sorry." "You crossed the line then, Dante." Margaret scoffed. She held Anthea over her shoulder. "Aisling, Joshua, there isn't much to do here, now. We can't yell at him and solve anything. Let's just leave."

I still held onto Aisling, not saying a word. Just weeping, in melancholy, with no sense of the slightest joy. It didn't even exist anymore. (I don't know...would it be better with my mom and dad?? Or with Aisling, like now? Even if I could choose...who would I, and who should I?) My grip on Aisling loosened. (I thought they were going to be my family...a new family. But Dante...destroyed my old one...I guess I can't have one...I never will....) My grip on Aisling broke. I ran out the door, away from everyone else.

"Wait! Joshua!!" Aisling called, but it was too late. He was gone.

Hiro looked at Aisling as everyone left the library except for the Scarlet and Navy and Black Biblioprincesses.

Hiro started laughing. It wasn't a hysterical laugh, but it was dark. You could tell. Demonic almost.

Hiro's laughing only became louder.

"You are a complete idiot." she snapped, looking at Aisling with her golden left eye.

Aisling backed up some and Hiro raised her gun.

"We should have never exist! You only cause suffering to that little boy." she smirked, walking closer to Aisling.

"Suffering and sadness. The Lost World....you are the Lost World. Your destiny is to cause sadness." Hiro said, getting ready to fire.

"No!! That isn't true!" Aisling snapped.

"It all is! Kon to Kuro no Yomihime! Bibliotheca Angelus Tenebrarum!" Hiro yelled as she pulled the trigger.

A bullet pierced Aisling's left side, directly on her keyhole.

"I hope you fall....the Lost World!!!" Hiro exclaimed, laughing again.

"Hiro! Enough!" Dante yelled right after the shot. "Another f*cking insane one." Margaret murmured, only slightly hesitating to pull the trigger of her own weapon on Hiro. Dante quickly reacted, a temporal shield enveloping around Hiro for a few seconds, completely deflecting the bullet back. It dissipated just as the bullet reflected itself to Margaret. She persisted through the shot, letting Anthea down, however. "Reaper has come. Sinners." Margaret went to attack Dante directly, slashing with a scythe, and then firing a bullet with the other weapon.

Anthea slowly opened her eyes, grasping her chest and looking at what was happening.

"Margaret!! Stop it!! Please stop!!" she yelled, looking at Margaret.

Hiro dropped her gun, and walked out without a word. Aisling fell straight back, screaming out in pain. The bullet shot her where her keyhole was. That wasn't the best place to be shot.

Hiro walked around until she found Joshua.

"Aisling's gonna die. I hope you don't care." she said with a grin, walking away.

Margaret stopped the blade of her scythe near before a strike on Dante, who hadn't flinched. His eyes glowed and burned intensely. Margaret backed up, to Anthea and Aisling, as Dante reached down and picked up Hiro's gun. He kept it in his robe as of now. (I'm surprisingly unsure of who to tend to...Hiro is a priority...but Joshua would be truly lonesome and melancholic with a loss of Aisling....) Dante thought.I stopped and turned back at Hiro for a few seconds. "Aisling's gonna die. I hope you don't care." Hiro had sneered and walked off. I hesitated, still crying, and in a bit of shock. In hope that Hiro was lying. But...she seemed...serious and...off. She didn't seem like the Hiro I had known before. I was a short while away as well, but I ran back, seeing the gate in the distance. "How...extraordinarily convenient...." A voice whispered into my ear, my mouth being covered and strangled again, pulled away

  • Author

Hiro stopped in her tracks, turning towards the direction she head Joshua be dragged. She kept walking in that direction.

"Let go of the boy. I have another gun and Im not afraid to use it." She snapped.

Anthea stuttered up, grabbing onto Margaret's sleeve for support.

"Aisling! You need to hang in there!" She called out to her friend.

Aisling lay on the ground, clutching on to her keyhole.

"A gun? You're bold. But I refuse...I am here to prove the unproven...and to make the faithful believers...have no sense of doubt." The girl told Hiro. I struggled, eventually getting one of my kunais, stabbing it directly in the woman's arm and gasping for breath. She grunted in pain for a split second, before grabbing me again, throwing the kunai at Hiro, at suffocating me into unconsciousness. She smirked and vanished away with Joshua into a phantasmal trail of dust.
(Hiro...where is Hiro...?) Dante thought, looking out the door. It was still early enough for the sun to burn brightly. He turned back to Aisling and the others, though. "RIT M DOALIM, FAAIP DE OIAD MIR NANAEEL NONCF" Dante chanted, soon having a temporal shield-like orb envelop around Aisling for a split second, before dissolving away along with her wounds.

  • Author

Hiro grabbed her second pistol and started randomly shooting at the place the girl and Joshua was. There was silence. They were gone. She began to walk off again, and slowly up to her room.

Aisling immediately stood up, and sprint out of the room. Anthea just stared at Aisling as she ran out.

"Joshua!!!" Aisling yelled.

"Joshua!!" she called again.
