Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian~ The ‘Shadows' Case’ ~ [A 1x1 between Neko-chan and CloakedSchemerX]

Posted

-Introduction-
In England after World War I, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, has finished his travels with Dalian and is currently watching her in good health. Hal Kamhout and Flamberge have finished off most of the Phantom Books, but it is still unknown if any still exist. ‘Professor’ and Rasiel have not been seen after the printer-company incident. The girl from the archives still is held within Dalian and the archives are still to access. A new Biblioprincess has been chosen, with a new Key Keeper. After discovery of hundreds of more Phantom Books, what news reporters called ‘The Shadow Case’, has traumatized many villagers and the new, unknown Key Keeper is being called out by the Biblioprincess, The Shadow Case, will have to be taken care of, also the effects of The Shadow Case.

-‘The Shadow Case’-
The Shadow Case takes place of demoniac shadows that come in different forms, some even possessing humans. Effects of the Shadow case include these shadows becoming monsters, burning down towns, causing reverse effects that should not be held in this world. The world is going out of balance because of this case all because of Phantoms Books. That is where the Biblioprincess and Key Keeper come in.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYqg97kSGuA Lyrics:

Miku:

Still...You are...All alone..

The sky is so blue
If only you knew it
If only you knew it...ahh

Meiko:

Where am I?
Even though the sky is blue
What I see is burned sand and rock face

The winds howl
Even though the horizon is far away
I was moved

Dried lakes
Burning fields
Someday they all will get back on the track
So, now I go forward

Even to the far future
There is a way to link
So, do not turn around
We can go through it

Len:

For everybody
That's what they said but...

In the starless sky
Light is overflowing
Since when
Have we been deserted?

The ladder that reaches to the end of the sky
I can't ascend it
In the cold world, holding hands,
We live today as always
We're not lifeless

(Stars, falling stars)

Someone, please give me courage
To face forward without turning back
The iron giant should shake the earth,
Disturb the atmosphere and follow

Even so I'd rather go with someone laughing
Than living all alone
Kick the earth to get onto the atmosphere
Believing in a fate that I can meet you

Dante stood and looked to see Hiro, after Aisling had left ever-so abruptly. Margaret ran out to Aisling as well. She stopped near her, with no one else around. (Hiro wad the only one out here with Joshua, right? I'm not sure if she did anything to him...but where is he?) She thought, glancing around. Hiro had shot out here, too. The bullets lied on the floor, with no blood or torn flesh near it. She observed the bullets for a few moments (Then, it couldn't have been Hiro who did anything to him. She shot at something else.) Margaret sighed. "It's okay, Aisling. Joshua's fine. If he wasn't, you wouldn't be here either. We can go look for him."

  • Author

Aisling calmed down a bit after hearing that. That's right. If Joshua was hurt, she'd be able to tell.

"That would be nice to go look for him..." She said rather quietly, her voice was a bit raspy, she was obviously upset and worried.

Hiro stated at Dante and Anthea followed Margaret out.

"Then let's go." Margaret said. She ignited the engine of her motorcycle, attached her weapons to it, and gestured Aisling to get in the sidecar. She turned and called over Anthea as well, "Come on Anthea. None of us want to be here too much longer." She sighed again, unsure of where to look first. "Aisling. Do you know anyone who has it out for you two? Maybe something going on today? Things like this don't often happen in broad daylight...." She muttered

Dante closed the gate and shut the door once everyone but him and Hiro left. He said not a word.

  • Author

"I'm sorry Dante." Hiro muttered.

Aisling looked at Margaret, her and Anthea were ready to go.

"Lira. It might also be a Phantom Book. So keep that in mind." She said seriously.

"Phantom Books are scary...." Anthea said bluntly.

"Lira and Isaac first, then. If it's a Phantom Book, I have no leads." Margaret said, revving the motorcycle. (Only Hiro knows anything.) She thought, beginning to drive straight over towards Isaac's home. She drove fairly fast, focusing but yet thinking astray. (Wouldn't Lira or Isaac have stayed if they were going to do something else? I'm not sure....)

"You're not at fault here, Hiro. You're apologizing for nothing." Dante said bluntly.

  • Author

"What do you mean nothing?! I disobeyed you and kicked two keykeepers out of our house! I got your identity revealed and got Aisling hurt!" Hiro yelled, looking at Dante.

The clock in Hiro's left eye was ticking fast, the golden lit up in it.

"Than what do we do if its a Phantom Book?" Aisling asked

"And if it weren't for my past actions, then you would not have done so, Hiro. And, even to you, I am sorry." Dante stated seriously, glaring at Hiro's eye for a few seconds.

Margaret hesitated in thought before she spoke. "Then we'll have to hope we find him. Hopefully you'll find him yourself if he gets hurt." Margaret stated seriously as well, soon pulling up the motorcycle to Isaac's driveway, with both scythes ready. She went first, leaving Anthea with Aisling.

  • Author

Aisling got out first, followed by Anthea with her axe in her hand, laughing a bit, Anthea pranced inside. Aisling grabbed her dagger and held it close, walking in behind the two.

Hiro's hair covered her left eye and she looked away from Dante.

"The Library is a wreck...." She sighed.

Dante nodded. "Yes. I don't believe William's book was ever found, actually. I'll tidy up the library another time...."

Margaret burst into the front room. Empty. The room was huge though, and had many doors leading to various places. Margaret waited a bit, as Aisling and Anthea came in. She looked upward, diagonally, aiming, and then firing. A swarm of bats flocked away and then to thr ground, reforming as Lira. "Where is he, Lira?" Margatet questioned. Lira smirked. "Oh, Isaac? He's downstairs, working." She said, then glancing around and looking at Margaret again. "My, where could the boy be without his Biblioprincess?? I guess he'd rather be with his parents and little stuffed animal. Too bad for him." Margaret quickly pulled her scythe, enwrapping it behind Lira and slicing backwards from her neck. Lira disappeared and reappered higher up. "So vicious. I see Dante and Hiro aren't here, either."

  • Author

"Where is Joshua, Lira?!" Aisling snapped.

She hasn't been this mad before. Anthea could tell.

"You're the only one who could take him." Anthea said, looking up at the woman.

Lira sarcastically whistled with awe at Aisling's anger. "Looks like you're wrong, there. I didn't take him. I wanted the chaos to run amok itself, and it did. He ran off himself Aisling, remember?" She teased, glaring at Aisling directly without a care for her infuriated self. "He's not here. Just use your super Key Keeper boy-stalking capabilities? You seem to be pretty good at it...." Lira sighed with boredom. Margaret sneered. She shot at Lira continuously, having her move away even further from Aisling and Anthea until they reached the basement door. She went in after Isaac, eventuallu reaching him in his laboratory room. "Do we have angry visitors, already? No one but us is here." Isaac sneered back at Margaret. He was only working on animals as of the moment. (He may not be here, then...)

  • Author

"Margaret let's go." Aisling declared, putting her dagger away and began to walk out.

'We have to find Joshua though....for Aisling. Issac and Lira may be not telling the truth! He may be here!' Anthea thought, looking at Aisling, then Margaret.

(Short post//shot)

Margaret left along with Aisling. "Let's go, Anthea. I don't think he's here." She stated, bringing herself and Anthea out, slamming the door and gate closed. She hopped in the front and ignited the engine, driving ahead once the other two were in. She sighed. (Where to now?)

  • Author

Silence took over Aisling.

"I don't know where to go. There is no place to go. I guess we could go back to Dante's...." She muttered.

Anthea sighed and nodded.

"Who knows what happened to Joshua...." the Golden Library said quietly.

Margaret turned the motorcycle and drove in the direction of Dante's house again. "Hiro may have seen what happened to him. She might know something." Margaret said, looking off and driving quicker. "But, Anthea, Aisling, it'd be better for you two to wait out. Last time we were still here, Hiro wasn't exactly so willing to either of you." She told them both briefly and seriously.

  • Author

Anthea and Aisling nodded.

"Yes ma'am!" Anthea said with a slight bow of the head.

"Yes Margaret." Aisling said right after.

---

Hiro was up in her room, flipping through some pages of a thin book and looking out the window. She shut the book as soon as she heard Margret's motorcycle.

"Dante! Margaret's coming over here!" she called.

Margaret came in alone, with one weapon in case, but latched to her back for the moment. She opened the door after Dante unlocked it, and came in. All was quiet. "Dante. I need to talk to Hiro about Joshua." Margaret stated, directly to the point. "So be it...though" I'd advise you to lay down your weapon for the time being. Anything directed at Hiro would redirect to you, already demonstrated for you earlier." Margaret grunted, but set her weapon on the floor. "Hiro!" Dante called up the stairs.

"You aren't going?" Lira asked Isaac, planting herself against the door for the moment. Isaac just glanced at her, confusedly. "Ah, I forgot you've been couped up in here all-day. While out in the 'field,' Isaac, I saw that a rally is being held in the city center today. It's starting soon." "A rally? Of what, exactly?" "That's the fun part."

  • Author

Hiro glared at her door before coming downstairs, she sat straight down in a chair in the foyer.

"What do you want Margaret? I thought I told you to leave." she snapped.

Aisling and Anthea were in the car impatiently waiting.

"It's a shame we don't know where he is..." Anthea sighed.

Margaret ignored Hiro's remarks and went to the point. "What happened to Joshua, Hiro? You were there, with him. We all heard your gunshot, and I know it didn't even hit him-- or anyone. What happened?" She asked, glaring at Dante for a moment as well.

  • Author

"I don't know what happened....it was the work of a Phantom Book no doubt...he was struggling, then silence. Pure silence." Hiro explained.

"I know it was the work of a Phantom Book because I'm forced to create Phantom Books." she snapped.

"So then it wasn't Lira or Isaac. Did they just vanish? Or did they leave? Do you have any idea where they could be?" Margaret began questioning, almost desperately at this point. For once, Dante knew nothing, just sitting there quietly without a word.

  • Author

"They vanished. No doubt." Hiro said seriously.

"I have no idea where they could be." She admitted.

Anthea was getting bored.

"Why did WE have to stay out here?" She complaint.

Margaret sneered. There didn't seem to be any way she could find information. "Last question, then. Are you two just going to stay here in wait!? Or will you do something...?" She glared at Dante as she finished her sentence, to which he remained indifferent. "Joshua will be likely, unaccepting of my assistance, and perhaps even to Hiro. He may be merciful and forgiving, but I have been made an.exception to that compassion."

  • Author

Hiro looked at Dante and nodded.

"Dante is right." she said seriously.

---

"Hey Aisling! I heard some people talking about a festival in town today! Do ya think Joshua may be there?" Anthea asked.

Aisling nodded.

"He might be..."

Margaret got up and with her weapon, walking out the door already. (I won't waste my time with them....) She sneered again. She came to her motorcycle and ignited the engine. "Hiro doesn't know anything. We still don't know where to go." She told Anthea and Aisling, sighing.

"It'll start soon." Lira smiled innocently with Isaac. A woman began rallying people from across the town to where she was. A giant stage-like set with one large unlit brazier, and a phantasmal field around it, blocking people from entering. Joshua, along with an innumberable amount of other children, were unconscious and pinned against the brazier.
