Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian~ The ‘Shadows' Case’ ~ [A 1x1 between Neko-chan and CloakedSchemerX]

Posted

-Introduction-
In England after World War I, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, has finished his travels with Dalian and is currently watching her in good health. Hal Kamhout and Flamberge have finished off most of the Phantom Books, but it is still unknown if any still exist. ‘Professor’ and Rasiel have not been seen after the printer-company incident. The girl from the archives still is held within Dalian and the archives are still to access. A new Biblioprincess has been chosen, with a new Key Keeper. After discovery of hundreds of more Phantom Books, what news reporters called ‘The Shadow Case’, has traumatized many villagers and the new, unknown Key Keeper is being called out by the Biblioprincess, The Shadow Case, will have to be taken care of, also the effects of The Shadow Case.

-‘The Shadow Case’-
The Shadow Case takes place of demoniac shadows that come in different forms, some even possessing humans. Effects of the Shadow case include these shadows becoming monsters, burning down towns, causing reverse effects that should not be held in this world. The world is going out of balance because of this case all because of Phantoms Books. That is where the Biblioprincess and Key Keeper come in.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYqg97kSGuA Lyrics:

Miku:

Still...You are...All alone..

The sky is so blue
If only you knew it
If only you knew it...ahh

Meiko:

Where am I?
Even though the sky is blue
What I see is burned sand and rock face

The winds howl
Even though the horizon is far away
I was moved

Dried lakes
Burning fields
Someday they all will get back on the track
So, now I go forward

Even to the far future
There is a way to link
So, do not turn around
We can go through it

Len:

For everybody
That's what they said but...

In the starless sky
Light is overflowing
Since when
Have we been deserted?

The ladder that reaches to the end of the sky
I can't ascend it
In the cold world, holding hands,
We live today as always
We're not lifeless

(Stars, falling stars)

Someone, please give me courage
To face forward without turning back
The iron giant should shake the earth,
Disturb the atmosphere and follow

Even so I'd rather go with someone laughing
Than living all alone
Kick the earth to get onto the atmosphere
Believing in a fate that I can meet you

"It's simple really. If any Germans DO find us, they will call you un-pure because of your appearance, and that's where I will butt in. We open the bibliotheca and kill them." Elda explained.

"So lets go." she said, starting to head into town.

Without any more questioning, Noah followed Elda. He still didn't quite agree with her tactics, but he wouldn't be able to convince her into thinking the same way, unfortunately. Even using the Bibliotheca-- that would bring plenty of pain, even if not fatal.

As the two got further into the town, Elda made them stop.

"Night Guards. We need to be quiet." She said quietly.

They started towards them, they would have to get past them either way.

It wouldn't be easy, but it wouldn't be hard either.

Noah gulped. He continued to follow Elda, watching for guards and anything that may make too much noise as to avoid such. He gestured for Elda to look up— as a black crow circled them, but from moderately far aboce.

  • Author

Elda turned to Noah, shaking her head. A crow was not a good sign. There are phantoms that take forms of things....but the thing she was more afraid of was a phantom possessed person.

"Who's there?!" And unfamiliar voice boomed.

Elda imminently stepped out of the way, leaving Noah in the way of a Nazi.

Noah flinched as soon as the voice came through to his ears, a slow reaction as Elda was able to quickly move out of the way. His grey eyes gave a fearful gaze into the approaching Nazi, and remained that way even as the crow soared down from the sky. It clenched onto the Nazi's beck, instantly snapping it with talons. The bird was silent and flew away when the job was done, before giving Noah a final glare. (Not a phantom. Something else....)

  • Author

"That was easier then I thought." Elda said with a small smile, grabbing Noah's arm and pulling him beside her.

"Lets go." she said simply, starting to walk down the dark streets.

"That wasn't natural--" Noah stopped his sentence, with the realization that there must've been more guards around. He ran silently alongside Elda, shrouded by the shadows of the buildings which, themselves, were loomed over with an almost starless night sky.Isaac closed her bedroom window, jumping outside back onto the ground. "Not now. Another time...it's too early. She seemed fond of me before...she may accept...." He sighed. Then smiled. "Youthful ignorance."

Elda stopped Noah, opening a nearly hidden door and pushing him inside. She entered the small house quickly after he did. It wasn't really a house, simply a small area under a store with two rooms.

"What were you trying to say?" She asked.

(Isaac was where?)

(I left that unknown on purpose :3 Can you figure it out?)

Noah looked around the setting with both relief and disappointment. He then turned to Elda, "I guess it doesn't matter, anymore. Just forget it...." He walked off into an even smaller room. "Goodnight."

  • Author

(Hiro?)

"Good Night, Noah." Elda said, walking off towards her small room.

She got dressed, and soon enough went too bed.

Noah easily went to sleep as he was. Always surprisingly easy for him to fall asleep, with consideration of everything he only knows. The night went by quickly though, even as sorrow struck Noah, Joshua, and surely others.

Out of everyone in Eric's house, Anthea was the first to wake up. She sat up stretching and yawning. She looked over too see Aisling a bit too close to Joshua. Anthea sighed, she envied Aisling. Envied her because she has a very nice keykeeper that watches after her, instead of one that could care less.

Eric walked into the living room, he looked like he had been up for a while.

"Good Morning Anthea." He said.

"Good Morning..." Anthea muttered.

"Did you sleep well?" He asked.

Anthea nodded.

"Go and get dressed and maybe you can help me cook breakfast for everyone." Eric said.

Quietly, Margaret got up and changed as Mary lied still asleep. She walked out the room in a bit with no purpose at all, but bored to great extents. Soon she and Anthea-- as well as Joshua and Aisling would have to try and slay more phantoms of the Shadows' Case. They had been slacking for quite awhile. Though, Margaret didn't consider herself to be a Libricide Officer ever since they moved here to Poland because of the war.

  • Author

"Good Morning Margaret!" Anthea exclaimed.

Eric looked over to Margaret, bowing his head slightly.

"Yes, Good Morning." he said, looking at her.

"Are we going to do more with the Shadow's Case today, Margaret? We are slacking..." Anthea said seriously.

Margaret blankly replied to Eric and Anthea, despite Anthea's exclamation, "Good morning. A decent morning at least." She sighed, and looked at Anthea directly. "We probably should, I don't see anything else we can do anyway. We should have Joshua and Aisling do so as well...." As she said that, she turned and looked at the two. Joshua quietly woke up, noticing how close he and Aisling were. Blushing a slight bit, and with sheer awkwardness, he scooted slightly away, but continued lying down in attempt to fall back asleep.

"Who really knows what would happen if we don't stop the Phantoms...?" Anthea asked.

Aisling slowly awoke, sitting up.

"Good Morning." she said seriously.

Elda threw open Noah's door.

"Get up." she snapped.

"Hope that we never will know." Margaret said seriously, glancing over to Aisling. "Good morning..."

Noah grunted a bit, and turned in bed to face Elda. "Why the rush...?"

  • Author

"It's morning and in order to scold the others about their job, we need to leave soon." Elda snapped.

"So get up." she said seriously.

Elda was fully dressed and ready too go actually.

It took Aisling a little bit to see Joshua, she knew he was awake, she's known him for too long to know he wasn't asleep.

"Good Morning, Joshua." she said quietly, looking down at him.

"Oh, are we actually going to do so this time?" Noah remarked and sighed. He got up, closed the door back on Griselda and began getting changed.

Drowsily, I turned in bed, still covered by almost all of the blankets and sheets over the bed, and glanced at Aisling hesitantly. "...Good morning, Aisling."

  • Author

"You better hurry up you lazy head." Elda snapped.

Aisling smiled at Joshua, he was always so shy like this around her most of the time. However, some bad memories flashed in her head. The bad memories she has had with him. One certain memory was when they were at the Nazi camp, and when they returned to Dante's home, Dante asked her why she kept her attention on Joshua and didn't care about herself. She didn't want to answer Dante, but she was going to have too. Even though Dante had caused Joshua so much pain, he helped them.

"Are you okay this morning?" she asked.

Noah opened the door, dressed fairly casually, his color of course being primarily grey. "Ready...not sure how well things will work out with them. I wouldn't be surprised if someone misundertands who's what, as usual."

"Mm-hmm," I nodded, "I'm fine for now. Thanks." I smiled faintly. "...What are we going to do today, Aisling...?" I asked inquisitively, still lying down tiresomely, though.

  • Author

"We're going after more phantoms." Anthea said before Aisling could say anything.

"I could have said that..." Aisling complaint.

"Too late." Anthea giggled.

Elda nodded, grabbing Noah's sleeve before almost literally kicking him out the door.

"Where were they again?" she asked.

The streets were already crowded with people.

I laughed a little at Anthea and Aisling's mild bicker. "Okay. But what about Eric and Mary?"

"Just follow me...." Noah stated, regaining his balance from being shoved out the door. He took Elda's arm and walked past the crowd. With ominous sensing, he looked back. Atop the building they were just at, was the black, red-eyed crow. It looked at Noah, and took flight, soaring right past him. Ignoring it afterwards, he continued.

  • Author

"You guys are free too go whenever you want, I couldn't have just let you guys go without somewhere to stay." Eric said seriously.

"I would leave before Mary wakes up." He said seriously.

Aisling looked to Joshua, leaning in too tell him something.

"If either one of us, me or Anthea open the bibliotheca, he will forget even meeting us." She said seriously.

"Is there something wrong, Noah?" Elda asked.
