Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian~ The ‘Shadows' Case’ ~ [A 1x1 between Neko-chan and CloakedSchemerX]

Posted

-Introduction-
In England after World War I, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, has finished his travels with Dalian and is currently watching her in good health. Hal Kamhout and Flamberge have finished off most of the Phantom Books, but it is still unknown if any still exist. ‘Professor’ and Rasiel have not been seen after the printer-company incident. The girl from the archives still is held within Dalian and the archives are still to access. A new Biblioprincess has been chosen, with a new Key Keeper. After discovery of hundreds of more Phantom Books, what news reporters called ‘The Shadow Case’, has traumatized many villagers and the new, unknown Key Keeper is being called out by the Biblioprincess, The Shadow Case, will have to be taken care of, also the effects of The Shadow Case.

-‘The Shadow Case’-
The Shadow Case takes place of demoniac shadows that come in different forms, some even possessing humans. Effects of the Shadow case include these shadows becoming monsters, burning down towns, causing reverse effects that should not be held in this world. The world is going out of balance because of this case all because of Phantoms Books. That is where the Biblioprincess and Key Keeper come in.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYqg97kSGuA Lyrics:

Miku:

Still...You are...All alone..

The sky is so blue
If only you knew it
If only you knew it...ahh

Meiko:

Where am I?
Even though the sky is blue
What I see is burned sand and rock face

The winds howl
Even though the horizon is far away
I was moved

Dried lakes
Burning fields
Someday they all will get back on the track
So, now I go forward

Even to the far future
There is a way to link
So, do not turn around
We can go through it

Len:

For everybody
That's what they said but...

In the starless sky
Light is overflowing
Since when
Have we been deserted?

The ladder that reaches to the end of the sky
I can't ascend it
In the cold world, holding hands,
We live today as always
We're not lifeless

(Stars, falling stars)

Someone, please give me courage
To face forward without turning back
The iron giant should shake the earth,
Disturb the atmosphere and follow

Even so I'd rather go with someone laughing
Than living all alone
Kick the earth to get onto the atmosphere
Believing in a fate that I can meet you

(I don't think so, actually)

"Perhaps so— should we?" Dante asked Hiro. It was always reluctant of her to grant permission for the opening of the Bibliotheca. "Much more efficient and...safe than with Isaac, regardless."

Margaret listened in, hearing of Aisling's angst. While she honestly didn't care all too much, she was practically obliged to, being the 'adult.' Margaret unlocked and opened up the sidecar for Aisling, setting Joshua in. "What's wrong, Aisling?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," Noah answered irritatingly, "Just aching." He continued walking ay a relatively fast pace, searching for another Phantom Book presence. "Let's just hurry and burn this disgusting thing," he stated coldly, referencung the Book he held just now.

"Dante, I grant you permission to open my bibliotheca." Hiro said seriously, looking towards him.

"He isn't the only one who got bit!" Aisling yelled.

She has always been ignored and she didn't like that. It was always Joshua first!

Elda nodded, the two walked off to an alley way and Elda struck one of her several matches she brought with her, and lit the book on fire.

"You don't have to be so rude you know..." She sighed.

(Ooooh I love my roleplaying...clairvoyance)

"Sorry...." Noah apologized, only slight sincerity in his voice. He saw the irony in having the Book of Lust burned, just as those lustful were tormented in Hell, according to Inferno of The Divine Comedy, anyway. "I don't see very many left...a few were just active or abolished, and over ten of them just...vanished."Dante nodded, seeing Hiro's reluctance, and took his key for the first time in quite awhile. "I ask of thee--" Dante stopped, his eyes glowed a shining gold once again.......Margaret looked to Aisling, just as she finished her sentence. A golden silhouette vanished as it came into contact with Aisling.Dante's expression grew into a grin. His soft, delicate, elegant, and ominous voice boomed in Aisling's head. "...So...you've finally decided to care about yourself, for once?"

  • Author

"Dante, I need to worry about myself sometimes." Aisling responded back.

"Aren't you supposed to be doing something else other then worrying about me?" she asked.

(NEKO IS SO CONFUSED. THIS IS ALL SHE MUST POST)

"I suppose I would not know of whether or not there's anything better to do than care for you and Hiro...." Dante spoke, with a sigh and a smirk, "After all, this is the first I recall being of witness towards you caring about yourself. I had been doing so for you. Even YOU had always put Joshua first." His voice lowered, softer and more sincere. "Do you, Aisling...care about Joshua any LESS than you did before?"
  • Author

"N-No...I still like him...but...he just gets all of the attention!" Aisling explained.

"It's just not fair..."

"It was never fair. But you didn't care before...only about him, just as the rest. Everyone is used to it...such an abrupt change from modesty to jealousy. Aisling, I am not one to say he is of any more importance than you, but you yourself did not care about yourself. Why do you, now? The only reasoning I can come to is that your care for him has lessened. Is this how you were with your brothers? They're not even with you, anymore." Dante gave a short monologue to Aisling, truthfully harsh, but not maliciously. Where he was, the man's stomach ravenously growled, and Dante looked at Hiro, knowing he didn't finish the pledge, and gesturing for her to wait a moment.

  • Author

Aisling looked at Dante, shaking her head.

"Lies! I still care equally for Joshua! I do truly care for myself, but I sometimes can't express my feelings. This is how I was with my brothers, yes, but you have to understand me!" she snapped.

(Poooost other characters too '~')"I understand, Aisling. Simply a hard time in believing." Dante brought his eyes down again to the man. His stomach growled again, furiously. "We'll see where it all takes us." His mind left that of Aisling's alone now, man's stomach growled again. Then, it crackled and gave a slimy acidic sound. Dante brought his hand in front of Hiro, bringing her back from him. A bone stabbed out of his stomach and blood spewed, then another, and even more. His entire ribcage opened and stabbed out of itself, as if an actual cage to bring us in. It wasn't a man corrupted by gluttonous sin. It was Gluttony itself.

Aisling shook her head, realizing she was just talking with Dante. Anthea looked at Aisling rather curiously.

"Are you okay, Aisling?" she asked.

Aisling nodded.

"I will be fine. Just get me and Joshua taken care of." she snapped.

Anthea nodded.

Hiro looked at Dante with a simply disgusted look on her face.

"A little warning next time..." she sighed, wiping the blood off her face.

(Neeeeekoooooo-chaaaaaan whyyyyyy)Margaret had already ignited the engine, had Joshua in the sidecar, and brought Anthea behind her, now just waiting for Aisling to get in. "We will. We'll just find a place to go to for a bit and then get you both taken care of.""As if I would anticipate him actually being the Phantom Gluttony...." Dante remarked, blasting the golden bullet to the being's upper chest. It blew off with more spewed blood, but no overall effect, just a stagger. "Get back a bit, Hiro."

Aisling hopped in the sidecar with Joshua...before imminently gripping onto the boy.

"Let's go." She snapped.

Hiro stepped a good amount back, getting as far away as possible from Dante.

"Just do your think, I'll be back here if you need me..." She muttered.

"Vanished?" Elda questioned.

"What do you mean by that?" She asked.

Driving off, Margaret seemed to be heading to a familiar direction. She needed to go somewhere she knew, of course, or it would just take longer to help Aisling and Joshua."I don't know. But they're gone." Noah told Elda, slowly walking with her, trying to get to another Phantom Book. "I don't think anything like that's ever really happened before. I'm sure I'll solve it sooner or later...." He sighed, still with a bit of angst from opening the Bibliotheca. Being Noah though, he always had that angst whether he opened it or not.Dante gave a short smirk, assuring Hiro he could very well handle the Phantom. "Christeos balzizras baltan! Ialpvrg teloch!" He chanted, and with a mere flick of his wrist, an eruption of flame beneath Gluttony. "Yes, the fires of Hell and Purgatory are of as your hunger-- feeding evermore." He looked down at the creature with condescending pity."Here." Margaret stopped, "I knew I saw them earlier...." She stopped outside Dante's home, having seen their car leave a bit ago. "We'll fix you guys up in here and then leave, they shouldn't be back anytime soon."

"So, what do we do now? Any ideas?" Elda asked.

They really had nothing to do now.

Hiro clapped a bit.

"Are you done with your show now?" She asked.

Hiro was obviously rather annoyed.

Aisling's eyes turned towards Joshua.

"If he wakes up, he will be upset about this." She said seriously.

"But we have to help you two. Unless you want to die on the spot." Anthea snapped.

Aisling shook her head.

"Let's just get this overwith..." She sighed.

"Not a single one...." Noah sighed, continuing off in hopes to find another Phantom Book's presence. He could feel two...very slightly. Both in the same place.Dante beckoned Hiro to follow him out of the house. While it smelled of rotten, half-eaten food and other hoarded stenches before, it now had a bit of burnt ash and sulfur to it. The body of Gluttony burned along with the Phantom Book. "Would you rather my show end with both protagonists dead?" Dante remarked, a bit coldly, but not meaning to. "...What troubles you?""I guess so, but Dante's not here and probably won't be for awhile. He should learn to deal with just this but I don't expect him to look at Dante or even Hiro in the eye ever again." Margaret seemed to have a bit of irritation as well, but not clear as to what. "We will," She responded, taking Joshua again. With her free left hand, easily pick-locking the gate and door.

  • Author

"Really?" Elda asked.

"That is rather interesting.." she muttered.

Hiro looked at Dante.

"I dont like seeing people cut open without a warning." she snapped.

"Where shall we go now though?" Hiro asked her keykeeper.

"Sometimes I miss this place..." Anthea complaint.

"I surely don't..." Aisling snapped.

The group walked inside, Anthea and Aisling looking at Margaret.

She was the older one with them.

"There is two." Noah stated, rather abruptly looking into the direction of them. "Both in the same place. A pair of a Key Keeper and Biblioprincess are usually there...but they're not. Others are." They were somewhat far from the place, but it was the closest two Phantom Books, anyway.Dante could still see that grotesque sight with Gluttony in his eyes. He merely shrugged off the thought, as nothing. Apparently Hiro wasn't too nonchalant about it, however. "If you are conversing in regards to the fact that Gluttony ripped its own stomach with its ribcage, that actually was not of my volition. It took me by surprise, as well." He continued off and opened the door for Hiro before going out himself. "The others seem to be out against Phantom Books as well...I can feel them being decimated one-by-one. Even so, there are a few on this side of town."We'd probably still be here if it weren't for Joshua, actually." Margaret stated bluntly, going into the restroom cabinets of Dante's home in hopes to find a kit for medical aid or something. He had some, even if he didn't need them-- that was natural for Dante. After a bit of rummaging, she found one and started with Joshua. He was asleep, after all, and it'd be worse to let him wake up before.

"Two Phantom Books?" Elda asked.

"Heck, lets go." she said, grabbing onto Noah."Lead the way."

"Shall we go, Dante?" Hiro asked.

"Or would you like to go back to the house?" she then asked him.

"Don't blame everything on Joshua! It isn't his fault!" Aisling yelled.

"It is Dante's fault!!" she snapped.

Noah nodded, getting an idea as to where exactly the Phantom Books were. He started heading there, walking at a relatively fast pace."We may head into the direction of our home, but we'll likely stop to any Phantom presences." Dante suggested to Hiro, opening the door to the vehicle now for her, and then his own. (Enochian phantoms are strewn about...twelve of them. They're all...avoiding us. They're waiting, though...for what?) He pondered to himself. Those twelve presences were clear, but only to him, as they had vanished. Whatever they're plotting...they couldn't be driven out, they would come."Calm down." Margaret told Aisling, taking a syringe from the first aid. "I know it's not his fault, and that it's Dante's," She said, drawing venom from the bite marks on Joshua. She then swabbed them with cotton, and bandaged them. There were bites all throughout his body though...not big, just abundant. "But he did it so long ago, apologized for it, and didn't finish explaining why he did it. I wouldn't forgive him either, but he's at least being sincere. Something to be grateful for, but not to forgive."

  • Author

"Fine." Hiro snapped.

She hated Phantom Book hunting. Mostly because every time a biblioprincess runs into one, it requires her to open her bibliotheca.

Aisling sighed, trying to calm down.

"It is Dante's fault, yes." she said seriously.

"At least he did apologize..." Athena muttered.

"There, done. He'll probably feel weak, though. I had to take blood with the venom." Margaret beckoned Aisling to come. "You've been bitten to. Hurry, if you were worried about Josh waking up." She said, completely ignoring the Dante conversation already.(Short post Dx)

  • Author

Aisling nodded, going over to Margaret rather quickly to let her do her thing. Joshua would probably wake up soon...

(SHORTER POST)

The needle of the syringe pierced through Aisling's wounds. She seemed to have a bit less than I, but surely she could feel the slight pain and the draining of blood. Feeling weaker. I moved a bit, but struggled to keep my eyes open, just woken up and with a bit of blood taken. My eyes slowly closed again, as I just stretched and tried sitting up. Just then I noticed where we were.

  • Author

Aisling winced a bit, but it wasn't that bad. As soon as she saw Joshua stir, she imminently became worried. Anthea moved beside Joshua however, looking at him.

"This is the safest place we could go...Dante and Hiro are not here so it is okay." She said to him.

"N-no...." Joshua looked at Anthea and everything around him. He sat up, but couldn't stand. "No...it isn't safe here...." he plead, practically whimpering already. "I don't want to be here...."
