Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian~ The ‘Shadows' Case’ ~ [A 1x1 between Neko-chan and CloakedSchemerX]

Posted

-Introduction-
In England after World War I, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, has finished his travels with Dalian and is currently watching her in good health. Hal Kamhout and Flamberge have finished off most of the Phantom Books, but it is still unknown if any still exist. ‘Professor’ and Rasiel have not been seen after the printer-company incident. The girl from the archives still is held within Dalian and the archives are still to access. A new Biblioprincess has been chosen, with a new Key Keeper. After discovery of hundreds of more Phantom Books, what news reporters called ‘The Shadow Case’, has traumatized many villagers and the new, unknown Key Keeper is being called out by the Biblioprincess, The Shadow Case, will have to be taken care of, also the effects of The Shadow Case.

-‘The Shadow Case’-
The Shadow Case takes place of demoniac shadows that come in different forms, some even possessing humans. Effects of the Shadow case include these shadows becoming monsters, burning down towns, causing reverse effects that should not be held in this world. The world is going out of balance because of this case all because of Phantoms Books. That is where the Biblioprincess and Key Keeper come in.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYqg97kSGuA Lyrics:

Miku:

Still...You are...All alone..

The sky is so blue
If only you knew it
If only you knew it...ahh

Meiko:

Where am I?
Even though the sky is blue
What I see is burned sand and rock face

The winds howl
Even though the horizon is far away
I was moved

Dried lakes
Burning fields
Someday they all will get back on the track
So, now I go forward

Even to the far future
There is a way to link
So, do not turn around
We can go through it

Len:

For everybody
That's what they said but...

In the starless sky
Light is overflowing
Since when
Have we been deserted?

The ladder that reaches to the end of the sky
I can't ascend it
In the cold world, holding hands,
We live today as always
We're not lifeless

(Stars, falling stars)

Someone, please give me courage
To face forward without turning back
The iron giant should shake the earth,
Disturb the atmosphere and follow

Even so I'd rather go with someone laughing
Than living all alone
Kick the earth to get onto the atmosphere
Believing in a fate that I can meet you

"Yes." Aisling stated.

She slightly looked at Joshua.

"Thinking about something? A you getting confused about how I know what a Phantom Book is? Joshua. You should be able to know what a Phantom Book is when you see one." She said with a sigh.

I let out a minor growl, "Well 'SORRY'," I said sarcastically, "Didn't you say yourself that people can't tell the difference and that the demon lies within the pages, not just the book...?!" I asked Aisling. "And I was actually thinking about how the Libricide Officer knew. But I guess I should know why you expect me to know a book from a Phantom Book..." I muttered as I calmed myself as I drank the tea. I exhaled a deep breath and sigh, then taking another bun.

  • Author

"Yes. I expect you to know Phantom Books from real books. Most Libricide Officers have had interactions with Phantom Books before. You don't have to be so mean to me." Aisling snapped, taking another bite of her bun.

"You are a Key Keeper...right? Learn the difference." Aisling sighed.

(Sorry for the short post T-T, I added Margaret's Biblioprincess on my sign up sheet.)

(How many times did Dalian say 'Yes' in English? And okay)

I let out another quick sigh, "Well I'm sorry, Aisling." I said after she snapped. I felt like a bundle of nerves, apologies, and emotions wrapped up inside a live human body. Taking another bite of bread and a sip of tea, I sighed once more. I did that too often. "Okay, I'll try to learn. Anyway, are you saying that Libricide Officers, or at least that Libricide Officer...is a KeyKeeper?" I asked.

~Margaret~

I walked through town with the sincere and innocent French Maid outfit despite my face itself appearing pale and Gothic. "Damn it, where's that useless brat Anthea now?" I mumbled. "I swear if people want to kill biblioprincesses so badly, it'll be me who gets this one."

  • Author

"Possibly. There is a good possibly of that..." Aisling said, taking another bun.

The bread was really, really good.

-Anthea-

"Right here, Margaret. I'm not a useless brat." Anthea sighed, coming up from behind her.

"Is the book of Sin destroyed?!" she asked in a childish voice.

(Mmm....I'm eating rice....)

"Hmm, I guess we have no way of knowing yet." I said as I sipped the tea with delight. "Welp, I've finished my share of bread. You can have what's left." I told Aisling, there was still half of the buns left. I reclined on a chair and opened up the book Aisling had gotten me.

~Margaret~

"Ah, there you are Anthea. Perhaps if you actually showed up more often I wouldn't call you a worthless brat." I told her bluntly. "And yes, I blew up the Phantom Book along with that station." I sighed. "There are far too many Phantom Books let loose in this world. If we find any other biblioprincesses eliminate them as well. They hold Phantom Books which could be let loose if they live."

  • Author

-Anthea-

"So we would kill the Biblioprincess, the Key Keeper, and then burn all of the books? Margaret...you are mean some times..." Anthea complained.

"Either way, I don't care if you are mean to others. I can be mean to." she sighed.

"So...what now? Are you going to continue searching?" she asked.

-Aisling-

"Thank you, Joshua. It's getting late...I might stay up." Aisling observed, looking to the broken window.

"We'll have to fix that in the morning..." she sighed, taking a bite out of her new bun.

~Margaret~I chuckled a bit and smiled-- or rather, grinned at Anthea's remark. "Exactly. And I don't give a damn if I seem mean. Part of life..." I sighed. "There's no use in searching. I already found a biblioprincess and her Key Keeper, they were ooking for the same book I had blown up. They're both young, no threat at all. I suppose we can catch them tomorrow, I already saw where they headed back to." I explained to Anthea. "Stay by my side until then, it'll be fun. If you don't I'll slice off a limb or two until you listen." I threatened and walked off. "Rest for now, I suppose."~Joshua~Walking off towards my room, I turned back, "I guess so, are you sure? Is...is something wrong?" I asked Aisling curiously.

-Aisling-

"I'm okay. Don't worry about me. Good Night." Aisling said, heading to her room.

She stopped at the broken window and looked at it for a second.

"Who...thought they could break in here?" she asked.

-Anthea-

"So you're going to kill me for not listening!?" Anthea yelled.

She was silent for a second.

"So tomorrow? This will be easy..." she said with a smirk.

(On a PM)~Joshua~"Be careful. Be sure to wake me if you need me..." I said a bit worryingly as I slowly and hesitantly strolled over to my room. "I don't know. Just a criminal....Good night..." I continued as I walked into my room quietly. "Will I even be able to sleep knowing Aisling's right there...?" I asked myself as I dropped myself onto the bed.~Margaret~"No, where'd you get that idea, Anthea? I'm just going to chop off your limbs, maybe I'll take you to the hospital after." I chuckled delightfully as my weapons were latched onto the back of my arms. "Far too easy. Tomorrow night, rather. I hear the moonlight will glisten elegantly tomorrow night."

-Anthea-

"What if they backfire and unleash the Kon to Kuro no Yomihime? Will we use the Koganeiro no Yomihime?" Anthea asked, looking at Margaret.

"Tomorrow night...on their way back to Aisling's Mansion." she said with a smile.

-Aisling-

Aisling started walking back to her room, looking out the windows as she walked.

'Maybe I shouldn't have Joshua here with me...' she thought as she reached her room.

I wrapped myself up in the blankets again, my room was cold in general, especially with the window through the hall broken and sending us air. At least the blanket was warm. "The moon seems...almost full today. Not completely, I guess." I muttered to myself. "I hope Aisling gets some rest..."~Margaret~"In the event of that occurence, we're going to have to. But before then, I'm planning on killing the Key Keeper boy. He's even younger than the Navy and Black Library so it should be easy. Without him, there will be no key. As I do that you stall the biblioprincess. Do you understand?" I asked seriously as I glared at the night sky, then to Anthea.

  • Author

-Anthea-

"Yes. I understand. I'm going now! Bye Margaret!" Anthea said with a smile, running towards an alleyway, to the abandon room under a for sale cafe was.

"The Golden Library...will be at work tomorrow..." Anthea said with a laugh...the Golden Library...being herself.

-Aisling-

Aisling quickly changed, wrapping herself up in her covers.

"Maybe tomorrow will be better...today was eventful..." she mumbled, slowly and gradually falling into a silent sleep.

(I'm trying to draw Huey...)~Margaret~"Leaving already, Anthea...?!"  Margaret asked rhetorically, irritatingly, and with a minor growl. "You better." I remarked to 'The Golden Library' as she left.~Joshua~Drifting off into a safe and sound sleep, I felt as if I woke up instantly, but it was morning. I sighed, "I hate it when it feels like that..." I complained as I got up and changed into more casual light-blue jeans and a white undershirt, followed by a buttoned light blue long sleeved overshirt and my usual white collar. I slipped on my white shoes, socks, and gloves and headed to the kitchen as quiet as I could. (We've had buns for too long already. Maybe I should make Aisling some actual food). I thought to myself as I brought out eggs, bacon, and chorizo. (Ah, I could smell it already. I think todat might be a good day...) I thought happily, and began to cook food for Aisling already.

  • Author

(yay...free food *o*)

-Aisling-

Aisling slowly awoke, blinking a couple of times. She unraveled herself, she was tied up in the sheets. Aisling climbed out of bed, getting dress in a grey and white, rather lotica dress, along with black tights and black boots. She fixed her hair a bit, walking down the stairs and into the kitchen area.

"You're cooking? Aren't you to young for that?" she asked.

(I actually know how to cook pretty decently...)"Hey! I'm not too young for this!" I growled irritatingly. "It's almost done too..." I sighed. "Is there something wrong with me actually making food?" I asked Aisling. "I mean, we HAVE been living off on bread and tea for a while now." I continued, "Well, I'm glad to see you actually got some rest." I said as I garbbed a few plates. "Which of these do you want to eat, or would you eat all of it? We have eggs, bacon and chorizo..." I asked Aisling as I put all the bacon on a seperate plate since we could both get some if we wanted to.

(show off...)

-Aisling-

They HAVE been living off of tasty buns and tea.

"Sorry...Thank you Joshua. I--I'll serve myself. You know you have been treating my far to nicely..." Aisling said, grabbing her a plate and giving a slight smile to Joshua. Today is day four. It hasn't even been a week yet.

She got her some food and sat down, thanked God, then before taking a small bite out of the food.

"This is pretty good Joshua. Thanks." she said with a smile after swallowing.

(If I wanted to show off, I would make some food, take a picture of it, and post it here).I smiled a bit, "Your welcome Aisling. You think I'm being too nice...? I don't think I've heard of being 'too nice'." I told Aisling as she served herself, despite me going to do it anyway. I served the food on my plate afterwards and tossed a few quick tortillas on the stove. They took about thirty seconds to 'make' and I always had to have them with my chorizo. I placed several tortillas on a napkin in the center of the table so we could each grab one. I then handed a napkin to Aisling and grabbed one myself, still making preparations for my own meal. "I'm going to make more tea again, do you want any?" I asked despite her usual answer being 'no'.

  • Author

-Aisling-

"No." Aisling said bluntly.

She eventually finished up her meal, putting up her plate."I am going to go get something out of my room. I'll be back in a second. I'm thinking about going to get us some stuff at a store today." Aisling said, leaving the room.

She walked up the stairs and opened the door, grabbing a small, over-the-shoulder brown messenger bag. She put the Book of Greed, and the first volume of The Crown of the Dog Days in the bag, along with her daggers.

Aisling walked down the stairs again and back to where Joshua was.

"Get ready to go." she said with a smile.

I glanced at Aisling, "That's fine with me, but aren't you thirsty by now? I haven't seen you drink anything in a while." I said, pouring my tea amd then sitting, only beginning to eat. As I took my first bite, Aisling had finished and walked upstairs. I swallowed and glanced at Aisling, "What stuff...?" I asked quietly, unable to tell if Aisling heard or not. I returned my vision to my food and began to eat again. Almost finished with the plate I noticed Aisling come down. "Go already?! Agh, let me finish at least...!" I complaint as I ate again, as if in a slight rush...which I was. I finished my food then reached for my cup of tea, which I had apparently finished beforehand. I sighed and got up, "At least I don't have much to bring." I said as I grabbed The Darkside of January and my throwing knives, I don't think I'd need to bring a taser along.

(Thanks Schemer)

-Aisling-

"I'm sorry...gosh..." Aisling sighed, grabbing Joshua's hand again.

She seemed to do this often...maybe for protection...or just being motherly.

"We are going to get some stuff in the city, hopefully nothing weird like what happened yesterday will occur." she said as she opened up the main door, then the gate door as the two headed towards the town.

-Anthea-

"Margaret! Your two victims are coming!" Anthea yelled, knowing Margaret was right behind her.

The two were atop a roof top.

"What is our plan of action?" she asked, tilting her head back so she was looking at Margaret upside down.

I followed Aisling as she pulled me ahead, I had no choice. "Sure, and yeah let's hope so...I don't want to explode." I said bluntly and nonchalantly as I walked ahead beside Aisling.

~Margaret~

"Already? I guess they may die before nighttime. Anthea, go distract or keep one of them busy. I don't give a damn about which one, as long as you do that I'll kill the other and the Library will be of no use." I told Anthea seriously.

  • Author

-Anthea-

This was far from easy. For generations, the Black Library and Golden Library have never gotten along.

"This will be easy! Thanks Margaret!" Anthea said, making her way over to Aisling and Joshua.

She stood in front of Aisling with a smirk, crossing her arms.

"Well well well....If it isn't the Black Library her new key keeper. Who is this...Aisling?" she asked with a smile.

-Aisling-

"Golden Library..." Aisling snapped.

"This is Joshua. My Key Keeper." she sighed.

"Joshua. This is Anthea. The Golden Library." she sighed.

I glared at Aisling and the new girl, they seemed pretty tense towards eachother. I simply greeted myself as they did...sort of. "Hello, my name is Joshua Akira. You must be The Golden Library, I haven't met any other biblioprincesses." I told The Golden Library calmly. "That must mean you have a Key Keeper, right? I'd like to meet--" I was cut off, a bullet piercing through my leg instantly. I dropped down to the ground, even going to my knees would be dreadfully painful.

~Margaret~
"Perfect, Anthea. Now then..." I detached the weapons from my arms and kept them in gun-form and aimed straight at Joshua. I quickly pulled the trigger, and fired a bullet past the ligament behind Joshua's knee, followed by my second one straight through his other, disabling him from moving. I'm sure he was in shock, regardlessly. I unleashed my weapons to their scythe-forms.

-Anthea-

Anthea gave a clap and a smile.

"Good Job Margaret!" she said with a smile.

-Aisling-

Aisling stood in shock, looking at Joshua as he was shot. What was she supposed to do?!

She picked Joshua up and made a run for it. She wasn't as fast as Anthea though.

"Joshua? Are you okay? I'm taking you back to the house." she said.

"Oh...and you might want to have that key ready." she said, pointing to the key around his neck.

-Anthea-

"Hey! What are you doing?! Come back here!!" Anthea yelled, running quickly after Aisling.
