Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian~ The ‘Shadows' Case’ ~ [A 1x1 between Neko-chan and CloakedSchemerX]

Posted

-Introduction-
In England after World War I, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, has finished his travels with Dalian and is currently watching her in good health. Hal Kamhout and Flamberge have finished off most of the Phantom Books, but it is still unknown if any still exist. ‘Professor’ and Rasiel have not been seen after the printer-company incident. The girl from the archives still is held within Dalian and the archives are still to access. A new Biblioprincess has been chosen, with a new Key Keeper. After discovery of hundreds of more Phantom Books, what news reporters called ‘The Shadow Case’, has traumatized many villagers and the new, unknown Key Keeper is being called out by the Biblioprincess, The Shadow Case, will have to be taken care of, also the effects of The Shadow Case.

-‘The Shadow Case’-
The Shadow Case takes place of demoniac shadows that come in different forms, some even possessing humans. Effects of the Shadow case include these shadows becoming monsters, burning down towns, causing reverse effects that should not be held in this world. The world is going out of balance because of this case all because of Phantoms Books. That is where the Biblioprincess and Key Keeper come in.

-Author’s Note-

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYqg97kSGuA Lyrics:

Miku:

Still...You are...All alone..

The sky is so blue
If only you knew it
If only you knew it...ahh

Meiko:

Where am I?
Even though the sky is blue
What I see is burned sand and rock face

The winds howl
Even though the horizon is far away
I was moved

Dried lakes
Burning fields
Someday they all will get back on the track
So, now I go forward

Even to the far future
There is a way to link
So, do not turn around
We can go through it

Len:

For everybody
That's what they said but...

In the starless sky
Light is overflowing
Since when
Have we been deserted?

The ladder that reaches to the end of the sky
I can't ascend it
In the cold world, holding hands,
We live today as always
We're not lifeless

(Stars, falling stars)

Someone, please give me courage
To face forward without turning back
The iron giant should shake the earth,
Disturb the atmosphere and follow

Even so I'd rather go with someone laughing
Than living all alone
Kick the earth to get onto the atmosphere
Believing in a fate that I can meet you

~Margaret~"Don't stop chasing them, Anthea! That boy's just excess baggage to her now, won't be hard." I scoffed. Seeing as how they were ahead, I walked over to the motorcycle. I jumped over the sidecar Anthea would normally occupy and latched the guns onto the motorcycle, on the opposite sides of the wheel. I inserted the key for ignition and rode over to their mansion. "Hmph, what could they be doing now?" I asked myself as I prepared the scythe-guns in my hands again.~Joshua~I was still in shock from being suddenly shot. And both of my legs were blasted through and disabled for now, still bleeding. "Thank you...Aisling...I'm sorry..." I was barely able to mumble, when I noticed Margaret pass us and Anthea slightly behind us. "I'm...sorry..." I said again as I was barely able to process Aisling's words and took out my key.

"It's okay. It's not your fault. Do you have the key? When we get to the mansion, use it. I'll tell you when okay?" Aisling said, running quickly down the streets.

People freaked out when they saw how bad Joshua was wounded, but she wouldn't stop running.

-Anthea-

"Dang it Black Library!" Anthea yelled, running towards Aisling, kicking her, making her fall on the ground.

"Let the boy die! I don't care if he is your Key Keeper!!" she yelled.

-Aisling-

Aisling quickly stood back up, she was a little scratched up herself, but she wouldn't let Joshua get hurt. She soon arrived at the mansion.

"Joshua. I grant you permission to open the gate." she said seriously, acknowledging Joshua could use the key.

~Margaret~

"Welcome to Hell kids!" I exclaimed as I ran to and threatend Joshua before I jumped and landed a somersault, knocking Aisling back and in the air. "Now die first." I stated seriously and aimed the gun at Aisling's face and pulled the trigger. The only thing that happened were the both the gun and scythe parts of the weapons all falling to the ground from the handle. I looked back to Joshua, (Damn kid. He took a few swipes with a kunai!) I thought to myself in anger and stomped my foot down on Aisling's foot and grabbed the scythe blade, the handle was off it though.

~Joshua~

As Margaret came near me I unsheathe a kunai and quickly sliced four times to the weapons. "Aisling..." She was farther away now but I took the key and grasped it tightly. "I ask of...thee..." I muttered in pain as I stood up and walked over to Aisling, limping from both sides. "Art thou..." Margaret came towards me and I slashed her leg. "Man..kind...?" I asked as I fell near Aisling and inserted the key to Aisling's keyhole.

-Aisling-

Joshua was just in time...if he had gotten to her later, then both of them would be dead.

"Nay...I am the World...The Lost World."Aisling seemed to say as a gap in her side split open.

"Holder of 55,555 Phantom Books...Open the gates to the truth." she seemed to say again as two books appeared in Joshua hand, Aisling flinching as this happened.

One with a blue color and a clover on the front of it, and a yellow covered book that appeared to have an ancient painting on the front. Aisling sat on the ground beside where Josh is standing, looking sharply at Margaret.

-Antea-

"Wha–Margaret! This isn't fair! What do we do now?!" Anthea asked, almost if she seemed shocked. The two's Phantom Books wouldn't really do anything to them.

Edited by Sodom

~Joshua~A gap appeared from the keyhole, Aisling flinching in the process. Reaching for a book within the Navy and Black Library, two books were found.  The yellow book was titled The Book of Protection and the blue book was a medical book, simply titled Panacea. I took the Book of Protection first, "Thou merciless enemy, vanquishing all opponents in your path, the radiance of our God shines down upon us all in warmth and protection. Why must thou disrupt simplistic tranquility? Many are merciless and ruthless, but let us spare mercy upon thou, and upon ourselves. Thy actions are a glutton for punishment, however that act causes more anger and hate. Thou shall not be harmed in this midst, and thou shall not harm another here. Under protection from our Lord of grace." A golden barrier with many angelic runes etched across the barrier and surrounded Aisling and myself, seperate from Margaret and Anthea. I left Panacea here for now, I could barely read the first one.~Margaret~The barrier blocked our paths from Aisling and Joshua. "There's no more we can do Anthea. They protected themselves, and now they have Panacea, so they likely won't die themselves either. Come, Anthea, we have no possible business with them." I grabbed my broken weapons and threw them to the motorcycle, starting ignition and letting Anthea hop into the sidecar.

-Anthea-

Anthea hopped in the side car as the two set off.

"Why are there books like that..." she asked with a sigh.

-Aisling-

Aisling looked at Joshua...was he okay?

"Joshua...lets go back." she said sadly. This was the second time in five days they had to open the Archrives...

~Margaret~I scoffed, "You're the biblioprincess, I should be asking that." I said as I drove off with Anthea in the sidecar.~Joshua~I glanced at Aisling again, nodding and smiling faintly. "Yeah...it's felt like a long day...and it's not even evening yet." I told Aisling, as I picked up Panacea. "The panacea. In other words, a cure for all. A cure for cancer, a cure for paralysis, even a cure for pain. It is a cure for everything-- for all. Or rather, all but one. There is...and never will be...a cure for death. Even the panacea cannot do such a thing. However, death has not reached me yet. So allow the legendary panacea to cure me, for I am not dead. Without it, I would be." Afterwards, a panacea formed in my hand, in a bottle-like container. "Here Aisling. You should probably have the cure first..."

  • Author

-Anthea-

"Being a biblioprincess doesn't mean I know EVERYTHING, Margaret..." Anthea sighed, looking straight at Margaret.

-Aisling-

"Thank you Joshua...but I'm not that injured..." Aisling said seriously, taking Panacea out of Josh's hand.

She carefully drunk some of the liquid, then handed Joshua it, feeling better herself. She stood up and gave slight smile, letting Joshua know she was okay.

(I think this fits the mood more than my current 'Sad Theme'. Mine's is for like a death or something):

~Joshua~
I smiled seeing Aisling feel better. "No, Aisling...thank you." I said as I carefully took the panacea. "I thought...I thought I might have failed, and that you could've died." I said sadly. "I hated that feeling..." I continued, and glanced at the panacea bottle. I slowly drank some of the liquid, and the pain was mostly gone. Not completely healed, I was for the most part and closed the panacea which still had quite a bit liquid left inside it. "I should save this. I don't want to be put in that kind of situation again." I said, slowly standing up.

-Aisling-

Joshua cared about me...and I had to care about him.

"That would be a good idea...oh...and Joshua...I won't let myself die. I just met you, why would I die now?" she asked.

"Let's go back to the mansion until you start feeling better. If I have to, I'll go out myself to the city." Aisling said as she started walking towards the mansion.

~Joshua~"I guess there'd be no point for me to need to be saying 'thank-you' so many times, Aisling." I muttered to her and looked to the mansion. "I'm not going to let you die either." I continued, now beginning to walk to the mansion. "If you have to go out to the city, I might just go along anyways." I assured Aisling.(Sorry, short post...)

-Aisling-

"Are you sure, Joshua?" Aisling asked, looking at Joshua, blushing a bit.

"Thanks...Josh." she said with a smile as she opened the gate door, then opening the main door.

"I wonder what we are going to do about that window...right?" she asked.

~Joshua~I smiled, "Yes. I'm positive." I replied as I glanced at the window irritatingly. "Oh right, we never got to fix that." I said with a minor twitch. I walked in and placed the Panacea bottle and the Darkside of Janruary book on the table, and sat on a chair. "Yeah we really have to get it fixed." I continued. "So...Aisling...you knew the Golden Library that was trying to kill us?"

  • Author

"No..I didn't know at first, but soon it was obvious that she wasn't acting right...then Margaret came." Aisling explained, sitting down beside Joshua.

"Are you going to be okay? That must of hurt...I know the Panacea helped you, but I wont be able to summon that healing book again after the bottle runs out." she said seriously.

"Margaret. So that's her name...the girl who almost killed us." I mumbled, looking at Aisling a bit more seriously now, yet still a little bit deppressingly. "Aisling. I don't think I could kill Margaret. I mean...maybe I 'could' but...I wouldn't kill her...or anyone. I just couldn't handle killing someone...I can't..." I told her changing the subject back to her statements afterwards. "I'm okay. Don't worry about me. What about you though? I took two books this time...that couldn't have pleasant at all." I told Aisling and glanced at the Panacea for a split second. (I'll have to save that for her...) I thought.

  • Author

"I wouldn't be able to kill someone either....it pains me to hurt someone, but it is an instinct, I fight for other people." Aisling said seriously.

"I'm okay...that Panacea helped me some. I'm just mentally shocked and need to rest like you..." She said truthfully.

'I worry about Joshua...I can't help it. He is my Key Keeper and much more younger then me. I have to be nice to him and make sure he doesn't get killed. If he dies, then the archives within me will end up destroying itself.' Aisling thought.

I settled down a bit more to rest now, knowing Aisling felt okay. "Yeah...I guess we should probably rest." I said as I lied down here in the foyer. If anyone came here with that broken window, I'd be the victim. Not Aisling. (Margaret and the Golden Library. They both...know where we live now.) I thought with much unease.

  • Author

Aisling smiled a bit before walking off to her room. She grabbed a piece of paper and started writing a letter to her grandparents. She knew where they lived and she might as well tell them what was going on.

'Dear Mr. and Ms. Torin,

This is Aisling Torin, your grand daughter, you haven't seen me in a long time, but I am a Biblioprincess and some of my siblings are living with you. I have found my Key Keeper and we are being targeted by two other people. I need some help.

-Aisling Torin'

She wrote, folding the paper then put it away.

"Goodnight Aisling..." I said as I decided I'd sleep here in the foyer. I went over to my room to get a blanket and pillow, walking back to the foyer and resting on a couch. Not the most comfortable and definitely worse than the bed, but still completely better than the streets. I drifted off to a silent sleep. The chilly air breezed through the broken window and to me, leaving a cold feeling. Hopefully no one would come tonight, but if they do, Aisling would hear something down here with me and be able to escape.

  • Author

After Aisling finished the letter, she dressed for bed, feeling a little regret for not helping Joshua a lot.

"I don't want to have him die for me...he is so worried when he opens the Black Library...why isn't he worried about himself...I'm okay." She mumbled to herself and then wrapped herself up in the sheets again.

'I wonder if Anthea will come back...with Margaret...' She thought, soon drifting into sleep.

(Tom13 signed up for Welcome Back to Madness, by the way).

~Margaret~

"Those damn kids are probably sleeping by now." I muttered to Anthea. "I don't know where the Hell you keep going, but I need to go buy two damn scythes and guns so I can make my weapons again." I sighed, and headed off. (Where the Hell does she go anyway?!)

  • Author

(I accepted him...hopefully he won't hurt everyone as much as he did in the Asylum roleplay...)

-Anthea-

"I'm sooo bored Magaret...I got to do nothing exciting today and all that happened is that your weapons broke." Anthea sighed from Margaret's side all of the sudden.

"I have to say, Aisling is pretty strong. I underestimated her at first..." She said.

~Margaret~

"And that's how we lost." I sighed as well. "Aisling had her adrenaline running through her veins, she became strong." I told Anthea and decided to leave for my weapons as soon as I could. (Damn. Stores are closed). I thought. Full of boredom, I began whistling the tune of Philistine.

  • Author

-Anthea-

'So she leaves me here? Oh well...I'll go back to my 'home'.' Anthea thought as she ran off towards her 'house'.

-Aisling-

When Aisling awoke, it was pretty late...maybe ten o'clock in the morning. She changed into a navy, black, and white dress with her black boots, and tied her hair back in a black bow. She stepped down the stairs and saw Joshua laying in the foyer, still asleep. Aisling picked up her dress, (It was pretty long...) and walked over to his side.

"Joshua...come on and wake up. Are you okay?" she asked.

~Joshua~

I slowly woke up and my eyes lazily opened. As I was awake, I shivered with the cold air of the outside that travelled into the foyer with ease. "Yeah...I'm fine Aisling." I said with a yawn. I got up in a somewhat lazy way, still clearly tired and stretched. "Well, I should probably go change." I said as I walked over to my room and looked for some clothes for today.
