Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian~ The ‘Shadows' Case’ ~ [A 1x1 between Neko-chan and CloakedSchemerX]

Posted

-Introduction-
In England after World War I, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, has finished his travels with Dalian and is currently watching her in good health. Hal Kamhout and Flamberge have finished off most of the Phantom Books, but it is still unknown if any still exist. ‘Professor’ and Rasiel have not been seen after the printer-company incident. The girl from the archives still is held within Dalian and the archives are still to access. A new Biblioprincess has been chosen, with a new Key Keeper. After discovery of hundreds of more Phantom Books, what news reporters called ‘The Shadow Case’, has traumatized many villagers and the new, unknown Key Keeper is being called out by the Biblioprincess, The Shadow Case, will have to be taken care of, also the effects of The Shadow Case.

-‘The Shadow Case’-
The Shadow Case takes place of demoniac shadows that come in different forms, some even possessing humans. Effects of the Shadow case include these shadows becoming monsters, burning down towns, causing reverse effects that should not be held in this world. The world is going out of balance because of this case all because of Phantoms Books. That is where the Biblioprincess and Key Keeper come in.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYqg97kSGuA Lyrics:

Miku:

Still...You are...All alone..

The sky is so blue
If only you knew it
If only you knew it...ahh

Meiko:

Where am I?
Even though the sky is blue
What I see is burned sand and rock face

The winds howl
Even though the horizon is far away
I was moved

Dried lakes
Burning fields
Someday they all will get back on the track
So, now I go forward

Even to the far future
There is a way to link
So, do not turn around
We can go through it

Len:

For everybody
That's what they said but...

In the starless sky
Light is overflowing
Since when
Have we been deserted?

The ladder that reaches to the end of the sky
I can't ascend it
In the cold world, holding hands,
We live today as always
We're not lifeless

(Stars, falling stars)

Someone, please give me courage
To face forward without turning back
The iron giant should shake the earth,
Disturb the atmosphere and follow

Even so I'd rather go with someone laughing
Than living all alone
Kick the earth to get onto the atmosphere
Believing in a fate that I can meet you

"I don't know Joshua....that's the bad thing." Aisling said, laying down and wrapping herself up in some sheets.

She never used the regular blankets. She stared at Joshua until turning around again.

"Well..goodnight Joshua..." she sighed.

Soon enough, Aisling fell into a silent sleep.

(I can't believe its already like 10:00 where you are *sigh*)

I quietly embraced the spare pillow closer to me as I began worrying for people I hadn't even met. Maybe I was just that sympathetic, or maybe I just thought that Aisling would be sad-- which would make me sad too. Regardless, I hoped for the other people in the city that were bombed, for Aisling's grandparents, and the victims of both Phantom Books and the war. Phantom Books...I almost forgoyt about them, we haven't seen any lately. "Goodnight, Aisling." I said unusually happily, drifting into my own quietude and sleep soon.

  • Author

Aisling awoke...seemingly it was morning because there was dim light coming from the windows. She then noticed something that embarrassed her WAY too much. She was holding onto Joshua as if he was a younger child. She quicly let go of him, turning around her face was red. Aisling got up, not disturbing Joshua and grabbed her clothes, changing into a rather short red dress with white lace. It was a lolita dress...of course. The dress had three small black bows on the front silver buttons. She wore her black boots and black tights today...her outfit was merely represting death.

Not really hungry at first, Aisling grabbed the Second Volume of Crown of the Doy Days and sat on her side of the bed, staring to read the wonderfully screwed up book.

I slowly woke up...my eyes already weighing down heavily. I then slept for about another ten to twenty minutes. I slolwy woke up once more, without realizing Aisling holding me like a child earlier. I stretched and yawned out of bed, noticing Aisling begin to read Crown of the Dog Days. "Oh hey Aisling, how did you sleep?" I asked, noticing Aisling and her dress outfit. It symbolized more death than what most dresses gave off. Then again, people like Aisling or Margaret dressing all peppy would look almost as unbelievable as I would in an outfit like that, or some sort of huge lunk of armor. No, that wasn't happening anytime soon.

{In Joshua's imagination...}

(No...that's definitely not happening anytime soon...) I thought to myself at my own other thought. Whatever. "I'll be back." I told Aisling as I went downstairs and hung up my clothes from the washer earlier before going to 'my' room to get one of the last outfits that fit me. It was A LOT more laid-back and casual, which didn't fit me. I scampered around the room, looking for more suitable clothes but found none, they were all washing. I sighed and put on the clothes that were there. It was regular blue jeans that were a bit darker and had slightly torn-up parts on the knees of it. I also wore a black t-shirt with a skull on it...this didn't suit me at all. My collar and gloves were washing from Aisling's blood too. I sighed again and walked up back to Aisling's room in mild embarassment.

Aisling looked up from her book, seeing Joshua she sighed.

"Josh. You do know there are more clothes in the other rooms." she said almost bluntly.

Aisling stood up, staring at Joshua.

"The mark on you hand..." she said darkly, staring at him.

Aisling kept her keyhole hidden and Joshua needed to keep his hand seal hidden as well.

(LOL...Schemer...your so funny...)

I sighed, a little bit red. "No...I didn't know that...." I mumbled, "I guess I'll be back...again." I looked over to the keykeeper seal on my hand that Aisling had mentioned. "...I'll cover it before we leave." I told Aisling simplistically and walked down to another room, opening the drawers. I found much more suitable clothes here, I put on pure white slacks and a white undershirt, with a light-grey collared overshirt. I sighed with relief and walked up back to Aisling, holding the Darkside of January. "So where do we need to go today, Aisling?"

  • Author

"There will be people in the town helping people out so someone will help us out with the window...I think that is it unless something comes up in town..." Aisling said, this time grabbing his hand.

"I should have told you. And sorry for getting your collar and stuff stained a bit with blood..." she said, embarrassed.

"Just how long has that window been broken at this point?" I sighed, a little relieved at finally...probably going to get that window fixed. "And Aisling, its okay, I was the one who used them. Its not your fault." I smiled and glanced at the Darkside of January. "By the way...how's Crown of the Dog Days? What's it about?" I asked Aisling curiously. "I read a little bit of the summary but it wasn't much."

  • Author

"At least four days...and...um...It is about these two guys...and stuff..." Aisling really didn't want explain the missed up book.

Aisling was rather glade Joshua saw the keyhole in her side when he was pretty much in a trance...it looked as if someone got a black spade drawing and pinned it onto her. Was confused Aisling was that Joshua's seal looked entirely different from the actual keyhole.

A sudden thought came to Aisling. She knew about Anthea...but didn't know her abilities.

(You or Blacksun should draw Aisling)

"Two guys? Are they the main characters? I was pretty sure it was a love story..." I thought for a second and moved out of the topic regardlessly. I stared down to the seal above my hand. I then looked at Aisling's spade keyhole. They were completely distinct in color but actually aligned quite well. "Is something wrong, Aisling?" I asked to break whatever tension there was as she began to stare, a little bit zoned out. (I wonder how it is for Margaret and Anthea when they need to use the Bibliotheca...) I thought. Despite them cooperating for the death of Aisling and I, I actually felt a mild worry for where they were when the Germans arrived....

"Y-Yes..." Aisling squeaked after Joshua's first statement.

"I'm okay...gosh..." she sighed, her face was slightly red.

Aisling bit her lip, standing up, closing the book. She walked over and stood at the door.

"Well, maybe we should go out into town. I'll get you a fresh batch of buns..." she tempted.

(:O That looks amazing. How...just how...? Teach me your ways)

I looked at Aisling a bit strangely. "Aisling...you're acting weird...." I said bluntly. In truth, Aisling was mostly just acting more hesitant, which she usually was the opposite of. In fact, it was almost always me being the hesitant one. I glanced at Aisling and nodded to her suggestion. Though I was still a bit fearful going out into town now, I did have a safer aura when I was around Aisling. She's saved me from injuries and death each more than once. I didn't want to be so dependent...but I was a bit dependent on Aisling...I needed to change that soon.

"Sorry...hehe...I guess I am acting a little weird..." Aisling sighed, laughing a bit.

"Well...we'll be fine, okay?" she smiled, slowly walking out.

(short post//shot)

After setting the Darkside of January down on a table, I followed Aisling out with a faint smile and chuckle, pulling down the sleeves of my shirt a little bit so that they covered my hands and the seal. "Okay." I answered back to Aisling slightly more enthusiastic than usual. The warm smell of buns already springed into my mind despite them not being in sight.Once her gothic makeup was applied, Margaret lounged back on her parked motorcycle, latching the shotguns onto each of her scythes. "Anthea." She called out a bit, without eye contact. "You and Kon to Kuro seem to know eachother. When did you meet?" Margaret asked curiously, now glancing at her sharply.

  • Author

"Eep! Ah! Me and Kon Kuro met before you found me. I knew who she was real fast. My master before you who was FAR better then you took me to see her, Kon Kuro almost killing me and having a heart attack..." Anthea sighed, petting the top of the stuffed rabbits head.

"Exept I'm not telling ya any more!" she laughed.

Aisling gave a slight smile, walking out the door with Joshua she locked it behind her. The two were soon enough in the destroyed town. She hopped along, ready to get her buns, Aisling turned at the bun place, she stopped in her tracks. The place where the two got buns was destroyed.

"M--My B-bread..." Aisling said, comfused and upset.

"My bread!" she complained, letting out a heaved sigh.

Margaret looked at Anthea, and regardless of what she had said at the end, she questioned her anyway: "Oh, I see. So who was your master before I came along, Anthea?" Margaret asked Anthea almost innocently, except for the fact that her finger was on the trigger of a newly formed scythe-gun.

I followed Aisling a bit happily for once and glared at the debris and rubble of the building. I stared in silence at the sight. Chaos erupts. Madness ensues! Panic and mass hysteria spreads across the land! Bedlam and discord strike the world relentlessly! The entire solar system ceases to orbit and spin. Time refuses to go on at the horrible occurence. The sun is on the verge of combustion. Why? BECAUSE THE BAKERY WAS DESTROYED!!! "Let's just go home or something now..." I mumbled depressingly to Aisling. I looked over towards the mansion, not bothering to even look at the wretched destruction of such a place.

  • Author

"My poor bread..." Aisling said, pretty much zoned out.

"I am so going to kill----nn...never mind!" Aisling snapped.

She grabbed Joshua's hand, leading him away from the debris, she ran into a man who looked to be pretty old. He was done fixing up a door for someone.

"Excuse me sir! May you please fix our window! It has been broken before the explosions and needs to be fixed!" Aisling asked, imparently.

"He's dead now so why should I tell you. You are my evil master now Margaret..." Anthea gave a sigh, looking up at her.

"Can we go soon...its cold and looks like its gonna rain..." she complained.

(I finally found a gif signature of young Huey!)"Whyyy do bad things always happen to us?!" I complaint aloud. I glared to Aisling at her next statement. "Huh?" I asked as she cut herself off with a 'nevermind'. Right after she grabbed my hand and took me to some random person I didn't even know. (Aisling doesn't know this guy either?!) I thought to myself as she spoke with him. (Does she know how mean most people are out in the cities? Thank goodness we're not in America!) I thought frantically as I looked at the man, about to apologize for Aisling when I realized he might be a more good-hearted person. But then again-- what if he wasn't? Well, he'd still fix it for money, right? Argh! With all the mental conflict I just stood quiet and looked back and forth between the man and Aisling. I decided to let that part go, and figured the man probably wouldn't do anything wrong whilst fixing the window. "Aisling...." I mumbled quietly. "Can you...tell me when you're going to ask a stranger to do something...okay...?" I asked Aisling shyly and silently with the random man still being there."Damn straight." Margaret remarked while imitating an American dialect. for absolutely no reason. Whatever. "Evil or not, be glad I'm French and not German." Margaret told Anthea. "Get in the sidecar." Margaret told Anthea in response since Margaret was already resting on the motorcycle. 'Where do you wanna go?" She asked bluntly, she never really asked if Anthea wanted to go somewhere specific though. This was a first.

  • Author

Anthea quickly obeyed Margaret, hopping into the uncomfortable side car, squeezing her stuffed animal rabbit. If it was real then it would surely be dead.

"You seriously want to let me have the freedom of going places!?" she asked, her eyes lit up.

"But I don't know anywhere aside from wherever Kon to Kuro goes..." she sighed.

"Silence you foul child..." Aisling whispered, pulling Joshua behind her.

"Ah what a nice young lady..I am supposing you and your child are getting tierd of having this cold air coming in your house? It is supposed to rain today so we better hurry..." the rather old man said in a raspy voice.

Aisling's face turned about five shades of red.

"Um--he--isn't my child..." she coecked up.

"Yes, we are rather tierd of it...and thank you. Would it cost something?" Aisling said frantically.

"Oh, I am Mr.Sherman and no mamn'...the entire city got bombed yesterday..." he said.

Aisling gave a slight nod, looking at Joshua for a second.

Margaret glared at Anthea with a pokerface. "....Yes." Margaret answered with a now mildly irritated look on her face. "Just say wherever the Hell you want to go!" Margaret snapped, "and don't say that too often, you sound like a stalker." Margaret told Anthea, referring to her comment on Kon to Kuro no Yomihime. Margaret latched her weapons onto the opposite side of the motorcycle Anthea was on, and started the ignition.

I instantly silenced after Aisling's statement and stood behind her quietly and nervously as she conversated with the man. I felt a suddenly new fear of Aisling now. (What WAS that?!) I thought frantically. 'Um--he--isn't my child.' I heard Aisling mutter. I blushed a little bit but still had my mind racing in circles. (Would that be a good or bad thing?!) I looked up at the man for a split second when he offered the repair for free. I glanced towards Aisling as she did to me, still with a surprised and shocked look on my face. I changed my expression to normal with my thoiughts still running around.

"I don't mean to be a stalker!" Anthea complained.

"Ummmmm......Maybe um...we could go find a house since we're living in practically this vehicle. But we couldn't afford that..." she sighed, shaking her head.

Aisling gave a slight laugh at Joshua, then she turned to the man again.

"Fallow me." She stated, pulling Joshua to her side the now three headed towards the house.

"The house is a wreak. Sorry about that. I am the onl---" Aisling cut herself off.

If this 'Sherman' man figured out that Aisling was the only one living here with a little boy who is NOT her child but obviously attached to her. It would be rather OBVIOUS that she was a Biblioprincess and this was her Keykeeper.

Aisling sat in silence as she gripped onto Joshua's hand and the man fixed the window.

"....." Margaret glared blandly at the road, not driving yet. The sky started to mildly sprinkle. "If this smears everything again, I'm going to kill you." Margaret stated boldly and coldly, but it was a bit of a lie. Who knows, if she's pissed enough, maybe she'd actually take it out on Anthea forcefully. Margaret started the motorcycle and drove already. "We'll get a f*cking apartment." Margaret complaint and growled.

Joshua followed Aisling and the man into the house literally without a word. Even when they all arrived there, Joshua simply glanced at Aisling and realized she didn't want him to know they were the only ones there. Joshua merely grabbed the Darkside of January and made himself hot tea to calm his nerves, and taste deliciousness. Joshua sat down in the foyer and began to read, with the book in his left and the small teacup in his right.

  • Author

"Wha!? Margaret! You're mean!!!!" Anthea complained.

Aisling sat down as the man finished fixing the window. He was gone now and the sound of heavy rain was heard through the house.

"Is that book pretty good?" she asked Joshua, standing up.

"I am going to go light a fire and light this place up some..." Aisling said, grabbing a box of matches she began lighting candles, making the house mildly brighter.

I flipped through the pages of the 'book' quicker than most stories. Not that it was easy, or bland, but in fact...it was actually a large collection of mildly depressing poetry. "Yeah, Aisling. It's really good, just not what I expected. Did you know this was narrative poetry? Like, well...poetry that tells a story too. It's kind of depressing...but it's good." I said casually while reading along the words in my head.Once upon a blood-red moon,Upon the orange and dusty dune,There sat a girl in a wine-red dress, crying tears of pain."My heart is broken, torn in two,My lover hath bid me adieuI shall not love, no, nevermore!"Thus began the story, of Evermore. I was already a bit interested, wondering why this girl's lover had seceded from being with her, and if she can actually withstand not eventually loving someone. Once the fire started, Aisling actually set a nice setting and ambiance for the mood. Great job. "That actually helped, Aisling...!" I exclaimed and continued reading."Fine then, I won't kill you, so long as you keep buying me the make-up when it smears." Margaret said with a cold and evil glare, driving down the hill of a road towards an apartment complex.

  • Author

(Yes....it is my sisters book, no doubt about that.)

"Yes." Aisling simply stated, putting the matches up.

"It is a wonder this place doesn't catch on fire..." she sighed, then she realized that Joshua was rather frightened because of fire. Every time he looked at it he seemed to flinch.

"I am amazed...we haven't had to open the bibliotheca but three times. We haven't had to open it in the past couple of days either..." she noted.

"Buying you it?!! Margaret! I am a biblioprincess! I give you books so you can live..." Anthea sighed.
