I dunno, in Bbs, Terra does the keyblade inheritance ceremony with riku and as we know he gets one later. I'm not sure if it's the same one that the Terra armor uses though.

Well, not "give out" but as a(n ex) Keyblade Master he has the power to do the Keyblade Inheritance Ceremony. That's how Lea got a Keyblade.

the inheritance ceremony only make them able to wield a keyblade. it dosent neceserally have to be the same keyblade.

k thx. thats the answer i was looking for. you rock!

Well there you go, Yen Sid does the ceremony then Lea wrecks the requirements and gets one.

Any Keyblade Master can preform the Keyblade Inheritance Ceremony. However I think you're confused on what the ceremony actually does. All the ceremony does is hand down the ability to wield a keyblade, it does not actually give you a keyblade. In other words the ceremony does not gaurantee you'll get a keyblade. Case in point Yen Sid and company were worried if Lea was gonna be capable of summoning his own keyblade.

Yen Sid can train people to get keyblades, being a former Master. He can't just "give out" them, not everyone is capable of holding Keyblades, so he trains people so that they acquire the ability.

You mean like how a doctor gives a little kid candy?

I think not.

Because in the end of Dream Drop Distance, Lea was having troubles wielding a keyblade. Why didn't Yen Sid just give Lea a keyblade? Because he can't.

Most people here are right . I think that Yen Sid cannot give out keyblades like candies . Keyblades choose people . Yen Sid just train these people to wield it . apart from Sora who just got the keyblade and magically learned how to use it

I guess Ventus being in his heart and his experience with the wooden sword had nothing to do with it.

Edit: and of course It's possible the keyblade Riku was supposed to get decided to abandon ship and go to Sora when the islands were destroyed.
