I booted up my computer, hoping for the e-mail that would make my day. Loading up my e-mails, I noticed one from CC Corp. "The World R:Z Beta Test" I opened it, and the message inside read "Congratulations! You have been chosen to test The World R:Z!" I'd waited months for this e-mail... Beta had been open for 3 months, but they were still allowing new testers. Now then, it was finally time to play the newest version of my favorite game. I installed the game and put on my headset. Finally... it's time. I thought to myself as I grabbed my controller. I loaded up the game. Usual loading. I created my character, and named him Blaze. Finally, I appeared in the classic starting town, Mac Anu. For a beta, there were quite a few people here. I guess they invited a lot of people. That kinda made sense, seeing as how there are millions of people that play The World. I knew I'd need to do some training to get up to a higher level, but would I want a party? Going solo was also an option. Either way, I waited by the Chaos Gate to think for a bit, while also looking around the newly remodeled Mac Anu.

Zack:  I walked into my room with a backpack, filled with paper and cold soda cans, over my right shoulder.  Seems like I left my computer on because I see an email on the screen.  It had the CC corp logo on it.  I threw the backpack on my bed and quickly opened the mail.  Inside was a message about me being a tester for the latest version of "The World."  I grinned, went into my closest, took out my game tools, put on the headset and started down-loading.  After a few minutes, I got to the title screen and started making my character.

 

Terrox:  When finished, I found myself in Mac Anu, the first town of the game.  I looked around and thought:  Wow.  The town sure does look different.  I like it, but the first version looked the best to me.  I looked at myself and smiled at the white-gold armor, seeing my reflection on my right arm.  I stopped and thought:  Really has been a while since I played "The World".  One day I know I'll be a legend, like the .Hackers.  Now, to look for Jake.  He said he'd be waitng for me next to an armor shop.  I started walking off to meet with my brother.

 

Yovin:  I kicked the door to my house hard and stomped to my room while carrying a box that had the new version of "The World" inside. I thought: Can't believe I got this at a low price.  Probably from my 'special skills'. I went to my bedroom,turned on my computer, set up the stuff and logged right in.

 

Destrux:  After done with the usual crap, I appeared in Mac Anu.  Scoffing, I thought:  Once again, CC Corp changes the design and made this place horrible.  But there's no need to get worked up about it.  I walked away from the Chaos Gate and saw some other players around.  Smirking, I thought:  So many players, so little time.  I can't wait to start PKing!  But at level 1, I don't see that happening.  I use my hacking skill to alter my characters' appearance and changed my level to 48.  I looked at the closest mirror, smirked at my special armor and thought:  Now THATS more like it.  The standard look for an Edge-punisher wasn't menacing enough.  Now, who shall I P.K first?  I cackle sadistically and start moving along.

I decided to head off for a beginner's zone and grind a little bit. I was in serious need of some equipment. I spoke the command words for a beginner's zone I'd remembered from the previous version, and teleported there. "Heh... alright, time to get training!" I drew my daggers and looked at them. I found some basic enemies and fought them. Combat was still mostly the same, so I didn't have much trouble getting the hang of it. I continued fighting a few more monsters there...

Terrox:  I made it to the armor shop where I'm supposed to meet Jake.  I looked around for a bit, scratched my head and thought:  This is a little harder than expected.  Now what dic he say he was wearing?  Oh yeah, he said he'd be in all yellow stuff.  I take a second look around and quickly spotted Jake.  Besides the yellow clothes, he was holding a staff with a yellow crystal orb.  I walked up to him and say:  "Hey there.  Are you my brother Jake?"  He looks at me for a bit and say:  "You're Zack?  Wow, you look awesome!"  We gave each other a bro-hug and shook each others hand.  Jake then said:  "While in 'The World', my name is Sorvo the Wave-Master."  I raise my right hand in a heroic pose and say:  "In that case, you call me Terrox, Protector of the Righteous!"  : Sorvo: "How very noble of you!  I know it's going to be great playing with you bro!"  Terrox:  "Right back at ya bro!  Now let's start an adventure!"  We both run to the Chaos Gate and warp away.

 

Destrux:  Before heading off, I spot two players running to the Chaos Gate at a pretty fast pace.  Smirking, I thought:  Hmm.  Lets see where those two are headed.  Actually, I have a pretty good idea where.  I dash to the gate and followed them.

After leveling up a few times, I decided to head back to Mac Anu to get better equipment. I warped back to the root town, bought some gear, and decided to look around for a party. After noticing that most people around Mac Anu were at a way higher level than me, I warped back to a beginner's area to try and find some people. I wasn't much of a talker, but I'd need a party if I wanted to succeed.
