My old drawings (compared with my new)

Posted

I was cleaning out my study when I came across some of my old sketch books from when I was in grade 8-10. I decided I would scan a few of the pictures and share them with you all.

Niwa Daisuku 2006 (DNAngel)

Freya Crescent 2006 (Final Fantasy IX)

Roxas 2006 (Kingdom hearts II)

Niwa Daisuke in Sora's clothes (DNAngel X Kingdom Hearts)

I haven't drawn anything properly since I graduated from grade 12...so I decided to pick up the pencil and do a picture...

This is my first time with CG shading/coloring on photoshop (No Tablet, all done with mouse), My pictures are usually sketched with lead on paper so it was kinda difficult I reckon to do it on the computer ~ but its different to my old style but I pulled it off nonetheless

New-age Jun

The making of...(Producing the lineart was a very tedious process)

thats about it, hope you enjoyed the artwork :3

I agree, the Freya drawings is epic! I like your old style of drawing: no edits, it looks very rustic and personal, you know?

Your art has improved greatly, I'm impressed. The only thing that bothers me about your recent stuff is the anatomy of the body. The shoulders specifically look kind of funky. Otherwise, it looks nice. :3
