This time it will be for FFX

The Leader- Clearly the star in the story. While in this case who is the one leading the pilgrimage?

The Lancer - Second in command but mainly they are here to contrast the leader. Mainly served as their foil like if the leader if stern, and serious, the lancer will be laid-back and free-minded.

The Smart Guy- Self- explanatory however video game wise they may also be the one with highest magic stat

The Big Guy - Self - explanatory and may use big, heavy weapons or are powerful martial artists. They may sometimes be the tank/stone wall gameplay wise.

The Chick - Femine, spirtual, and heart aspect of the team. Usually the social influence of the group.

The Sixth Ranger - Late to join the team. Their power is inversely proportional to the main team's when they first join the group. Where the team took would take forever to kill a certain group of enemies the Sixth Ranger will take them out single-handedly but after a while gets overshadowed by original heroes.

TvTropes doesn't use a Chick in this one but uses:

Leader: Yuna

Lancer: Tidus and Wakka

Big Guy: Kimahri

Smart Guy : Lulu

Sixth Rangers: Auron and Rikku

Plus, multiple people can fit the same role since there are seven.

Rikku kinda also fits into the Chick.
