First off, I had no idea where to put this, so feel free to move it. I need help but it's not personal at all...

Anyway, some of you may know I'm practically obsessed with OST's, BGM's and such, I just find them better than regular music. So I really loved one in the anime Afro Samurai, and that particular OST was NEVER released to the public and I've been looking forever. There is a fanmade version but it doesn't sound half as good to me. Down to the point, I was wondering if there was a way to remove some audio in a video leaving it just as the soundtrack that's playing. I'm a noob with these things and I don't even know if it's possible in the first place.

Try downloading the sound in one of those video download sites... I did it with Rage Awakened and it worked. Then you could trim it with Movie Maker or something. In Movie Maker, you just put some random thing the length of music and cut the part of the song you want. Copy it or save it. The Movie Maker part, I've never tried it intentionally. But it should work. Keep in mind, should.

That's okay, it happens, but my main problem is that its not on YouTube since it's never been released to the public. Only one on YouTube is the fanmade one not sounding as good.

Have you tried downloading it with the URL? Some downloading sites work with other sources than YouTube. 

 

And there's a site to cut MP3 if you manage to download the audio.
