I stood there, waiting on the other side of the mountain. The birdman dropped down in front of him. He spoke quickly and confidently. "Ha, you have defeated me! But I will return, faster than before, and perhaps we can fight!" He flew off. A glowing red card appeared in front of me, "Angelic Wings" I read aloud. The card burst into a flurry a cubes and collapsed in on a single point. A pair of pure white wings sprouted from my back. This is cool. "I commented." With that I took off and flew over towards the lake to see who else I could find.

Neisan looked around. The garden was pretty unremarkable, aside from being incredibly beautiful. Then Neisan noticed a person flying through the air on wings. Drawing his pad and pen, Neisan quickly drafted a Geass Scroll, attached it to an arrow, and sent that arrow flying towards the winged figure.

The laws of Little Garden caused the Geass Scroll to recreate itself in front of me. "A challenge eh?" I flew down to Neisan. "You looking for a fight?"

"Not a fight. Why must there always be a fight? No, I was thinking of a test of creativity. Whoever can form the most creative attack wins. Just don't target me when you release it. This is a creativity test, not a death match. Do you accept?"

"Any wagers?"

"Gyah!" The figure jumped back. "Here, take your prize!" He stabbed Dawncutter into the ground and it turned from obsidian to a pearly white. "This is not my only prized blade, and should you survive the Games long enough, we will cross paths again."With that, he faded into cluster of burnt leaves and blew off into the wind.

(This is for me, correct?)

(Yup, Dawncutter is all yours. Feel free to come up with a way of compact storage/summoning it/whatever)

Ayame changed back to her form, her clothes were torn. Too torn.

"Crap..." She thought to herself. Looking around, she didn't see anything to cover herself with, so she changed back into a tiger and carefully carried dawncutter in her mouth, walking down the path.

 

(For now the dawncutter will be in Ayames mouth. Lol. Don't worry, she's being careful. ;D)

"I wager my power over water, my blue ink, if you will. What wager you?"

"Should I lose, I will accompany you in this world and fight in your name. My winnings will be yours. Is that acceptable?"

"Hmm. Yes, that is acceptable." Neisan's thoughts (your character doesn't know this, but I'm telling you for the sake of story developement): "Maybe, we can even be . . . friends." Neisan gets an inward smile on his face. "Shall we begin?"

Little Garden generated two black obelisks. "I'm assuming these would be out targets." I stood there. The first obelisk shattered. Eventually the sound caught up, there was a heavy percussion of banging like a snare drum and a huge crash. "How's that? Your turn."

Neisan spun in a circle with his pad of paper outstretched. The pages assembled themselves in a flower of seven petals around him, then exploded outwards, only to reassemble at the base of the obelisk. The pages then sliced through the stone, and seven symmetrical pieces fell evenly to the ground. Neisan looked to the sky. "What is the garden's ruling?"

(That's a good idea for challenges in which the results could be open to interpretation. Battles are usually straightforward, but challenges like this could be judged differently depending on how you look at it.)

(what is the verdict? the only problem with this method of decision-making is that we have a bunch of posts with nothing happening)

(Natron and I have decided)Metal cuffs materialized around my wrists. "I guess I lose." I gave a small chuckle. "What now, master?" 

Neisan's inward smile dropped. "What are those manacles? I didn't want you to be a servant. And don't call me master." He got an inward look again, a look of sorrow.

"Meh, no worries." I lifted my arms. "There's no weight. I can't even feel them. It's probably Little Garden's symbolism or something. What should I call you then?"

"Just call me by my name: Neisan. I should also learn yours if we are going to be traveling together." Neisan's face became less withdrawn and sorrowful.
