 Once long ago, a plague wiped out most of the Earth's population, and out of the ashes, the remaining members of society created the world we live in. The Virus that nearly wiped us out long ago allowed no record of its devastation, nor samples of it in order to try to make sure something of this magnitude never started again. Three-hundred years after the Reconstruction, a school for people to learn the skills the most handy on the Earth as it is now formed, only taking one class per year. In this school, Dancing and Fighting are the focus, Dancing because it was a highly loved form of entertainment, and Fingthing because even with the reconstruction, many people were still feral, still willing to fight over the smallest things because the world lacked having these things. So they fight. So they Kill. So this school exist. It has been approximately fifty-five years since the ned or the Reconstruction. the year is 3825 AR. The world is a drastically different place from what we know, so, let us delve into its mystics and become the people this world would have had us become had we been born in this universe.

Day One: The DNA of a Heart

"And so class, that is the end of today's lecture on your fighting form. Thank you, Mr. Absolon for your demonstration of your highly advanced skills. As for you, class, take note of this presentation of skill. We all saw how much an inch of ground can affect your power and strength in blows." Derik sighed as he placed the practice wooden sword into its holster and into Mrs. Casada's outstretched hand and sat back down. Mrs. Casada's snow-white neck skin began to bounce around with vigor with each incoming word. Every syllable uttered from her mouth (Which looked like someone had smacked a ancient lady with a frying pan) had her wrinkled, deformed, spotted skin jumping like a kid on a sugar high. Her meager dark blue curved neckline dress that cascaded onto the floor ill-suited her, as she had a wider figure and she was short. Her high, very girly voice suited her the same as her dress. "Now onto tonight's training assignment! Every one of you at mid-night exactly will file down to the gymnasium with your weapon, there you will each place your ID card into the machine in the center of the floor and stand back after each student has done so. Weather you use this time in-between to get practice, talk, rest, or goof off will be your choice, but if you do not attend, you will be kicked out of the AADBT immediately, and all of the skills you gained here will be drained from your memory. This harsh treatment is because you are all to pass on soon, and you need to show us your DEDICATION!" She had screamed at the corner full of sleeping students, which aroused them all quickly. "But until the next time I see you, please, stay safe. And do not fight! Remember, only form of physical contact that is dealt to someone can only be in a supervised sparring match, any fighting outside of this will result in the same previously mentioned punishment. Dismissed!"

All Fighter-Classes are now free to move about the School. The school is larger than half the now abandoned city of Las Vegas' size, Sitting atop a cliff top, the school is surrounded by an Ocean and on the other side is a thick wooded area. The Mess Hall is where you can eat and obtain food, but you are not restricted to this area. Evey person has their own room, so do not worry about that.

 

Arissia was hardly breaking a sweat with her gymnastics dance routine, as she fluttered through the air. Often people would call her the Humming Bird, as she floated through the air with grace and speed. She double-back-flipped into a one fingered hand-stand, then falling into a half fished cart wheel and she bowed, then her music stopped. The class applauded at the routine, praising it and giving cheer. The red-haired teacher, whom they called Mr. Reaper, clapped loudly, his face drenched in sweat with an extreme level of content on his face. Arissia though "Perv. I can tell you were looking up my dress. I've never liked having a male teacher for a dance instructor."  She scoffed at him and gave him a glare of discontent and annoyance. Mr Reaper didn't see this though, and he walked over to the front of the room, cleared his throat, and spoke into the microphone "Wonderful! Wonderful! I knew the best routine would be last. Your lucky Arissia pulled your sorry toes out of the fire this week, your routines were mostly bad, and if Arissia wasn't among you, a good chunk of you would be running drills right now. Our only other real dancer in here right now is Ms.Sakurako. Which by the way, Ren, great job! You competed close to Arissia's level of skill. Keep it up. Now, for your nightly drill... Tonight, in the main gym, you will go and place your ID card into the machine in the center of the room. Failure to do this or any fighting results in expulsion and skill removal. I hope to see you all come back tomorrow well. Dismissed."

Yeah, those ability's are ones you have control over and are aloud to use freely, just your class ability which is the luck decided one.

The lightning appeared to hit Akito, but it was merely an afterimage effect, Akito appeared in front of the fluffy creature and fired a flurry of cuts on it. "Pull me in!" He shouted as he attacked.

Someone's attacking the monster again. Now's my chance. Luke thought, scrabbling to grab his blade. Everything hurt as he moved-- his chest screaming in pain with the amount of blood he had lost. Even then, he pushed on- knowing death would be the least of his worries.

Upon grabbing his blade, Luke hefted it towards his face, stopping to do a noble motion: the blade right in front of him, he swished it into a salute stance. "Oh noble congregation..." He murmured, the temperature about him rising, "Razing Phoenix!" He cried, his blade exploding into flames. With that, he rushed forth, streaking towards the Dragon like a flaming missile, taking one long slash at it's thigh.

[Action ended, Razing Phoenix ability activated]

Ri-an was tired and frustrated. It was midnight now, so she was sleepy. Not to mention being exhausted from killing evil robots. And a dragon. Can't forget the dragon that was trying to destroy her existence right now. Ri-an swiped one last time at the chest of the dragon before backing away. Now how to kill it? Dances were still useless... unless. The dragon was just a brat in a dragon shell right? She could use Charm and distract the cursed thing. Then, Ren, Akito, or Luke could deal a few more strikes. She dropped her sword onto the ground, and put her feet into a ready position. She began to dance in the special way that seemed to melt men. Dancing felt refreshing, back to the stuff she knew. Swordplay may be a new set of skills, but dancing was her real skill set. Now, the normal effect of Charm would be activated. Hopefully it worked on the bratty dragon. "He's distracted! Strike now guys!" She called out.

As the claw that was redirected came at it, the monster slightly lurched away from it, avoiding the projectile just to be stabbed by one of them. "Owwwieeeee! You big bully!" It grabbed onto Ren, throwing her off, but not hard enough to hurt her badly, (-1 HP) but not before Akito cut at it. "Arrrrrg! You all are annoying!" He slashed at Akito, but the fact that he was still holding onto Ren made it so that as he went to strike him, he was pulled back before the attack could land. Then when Luke started cutting him up, he cried out in pain. "Why won't all of you die! DIE DIE DIE!" IT was panicking, as it shot lighting at every direction, randomly. the pressure from the shots knocked back Luke, but not hard enough to harm him. As it started to calm down a little, it noticed a girl, doing some kind of movement. "What are you doing? Stop it! I don't understand!"  He stared, perplexed at what she was doing.

Luke halted. He was panting hard from exerting himself. He had used both of his abilities, but to no avail: the thing was either too stubborn or two thick to be cut and burned so easily by Luke's attacks.

Luke jammed his blade into the hard floor, using his weapon as place to lean on. He was still bleeding. A lot.

"To think, I'd actually die...during a training session..." He murmured, looking up to the monster. "T-there...has to be some weak spot I can hit.."

All Players! If no post are in soon, I will end the turn and bring it back to the Enemy Turn.

"I'll be taking that back now." Akito said, reclaiming the smaller blade at the end of the chain, he slashed open the boss's back and threw the chain in and dented the wound to lock it in place. He grabbed Ren and swung down, around and under the metallic beast. He made sure to land in a couple of slashes to its underbelly until he and his partner landed several meters away, the chain at it's max length. Setting Ren down, he pulled the chain back, he could feel it cut around and through its back until it was once again locked in place. "This better finish you!" With a final tug, Akito had pulled the beast down with a crash and his chain was once again free as it zipped through the boss in attempt to finally end the chaos.

Ren smiled, looking at Akito.

"That was impressive Akito, I've never seen you fight before." she said with a smile.

"Thanks for protecting me..." she said, then looking at the creature.

'Hopefully that finishes him off...' she thought, walking to Akito's side.

Luke murmured, taking the longer route around the monster, clutching his chest. Once behind it, Luke rushed forward slamming his blade forcefully into the open abdomen-- where the upper chest piece met the lower one, giving a slight weak point.

Luke struck hard, using the last remains of his energy to cut into the monster.

Techno-Beatz began to falter, the child inside screamed in pain with the last blow dealt from Luke. "I WON'T LET YOU ALL KILL ME! NOT NOW!" It leaped into the air, its wings blowing down gust of intense wind on all of the damage-able fighters, sending them into the wall, KOing them all and dropping their HP to zero. "Ha ha ha ha ha! I win! I win! now I can go home again!" The dragon fell back down on the ground, looking at the small number of still awake fighters. "You all will die too, I doubt any of you could even hurt me!" He roared with pleasure as it charged one last thunder shot...

Derik woke up. He did not know why, but he did. He stared down the thunder blast, only smirking a little before standing up and gripping his blades which had landed next to him. "If I'm going to die... It won't be by you!" He leaped into the air as the shot was fired, Derik's sword acting like a lighting rod absorbed the attack and redirected it at the beast using the natural flow of energy in his body, shooting the final attack into the beast's heart and killing it, he then blacked out.

 

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Hour's Later~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

All of the KOed fighters wake up in the room, the dragon's body roasted and the injury's sustained somehow healed. The machine was in the center of the room again, only now broken and smoking, a small boy with raven black hair and no clothes was outside of the cracked shell...

All players are awake, stats will be posted in the OOC thread and items will be handed out.

I woke up, gasping heavily as I looked around. Almost instantly, I brought up my hand to check it.... Nothing was there. That mark Phont had carved into my hand in that dream, or whatever it was, wasn't there. But it seemed so real.... I shook my head and stood up, checking out everyone else who were slowly regaining their consciousnesses. Right then, I noticed a boy, naked at that, sitting by the machine that we'd destroyed... What happened while I was out? Last thing I remember was tossing that sword to Ri-an, I think that's who, and passing out as I jumped off the beast... And of course that nightmare, but that wasn't part of reality.... or was it? I felt the pain of that mark being carved in my hand, but it just wasn't there. I decided to push it away and focus on what was in front of me. I grabbed the hilt of my sword and approached the boy with black hair slowly.... "Who are you?" I said sternly, ready to unsheathe my sword.

Zach woke up with a start, the last thing he remembered was being slammed into the ground quite hard, yet he felt no pain? It made no sense to him. He shrugged off the thought almost straight away; if someone wanted to heal him there was no reason to really stop them was there? He only now noticed the boy standing there. He immediately wondered who the boy was, why he was here, and why he was butt naked in the centre of the room. Zach noticed that Shaun seemed a little tense, almost like he was ready to cut down the little boy. Gesturing towards the little boy, he spoke: "Don't be so tense, what could he do? He seems harmless enough".

Ri-an woke. "One hell of a dream..." she muttered. Then she looked around, and slammed her head back on the ground. "Screw me." She said, groaning. Ri-an pushed herself up and sighed. Next to her was a ruby scythe. And she felt stronger. Much stronger. She picked the scythe up. "I can definitely find a use for this." she said to herself. Ri-an looked around some more, looking at the carnage. This "training exercise"had done a number on the school's population. While she had escaped largely unharmed compared to others, she was still exhausted and unhappy.

I looked back at Zach, then realized I was pretty tense. I let go of the hilt of my sword and dropped to the floor, sitting down a few feet from the boy. Ughhh, I was tired... Look at all this damage caused, most of it by that immature, dragon thing.... Wait a minute. I looked at the boy, then at the cracked shell, then quickly stood back up again. "Zach! I wouldn't be so sure..." I said, backing up near Zach. "You remember how that monster was throwing tantrums and what not? Well, I think this bastard might be part of the reason! Just look!" I said, gesturing to the cracked shell, then to the boy. 

Derik woke up. His hair was kinda singed as he sat up and walked over to Zach and Shaun. "Are you all okay?" He noticed the boy lying on the ground. "And what happened? I only remember a flood of robots..."

Luke woke with a start, immediately sitting straight the moment he returned to the world. Before him was a smoking wreck that once was the monster Luke and the others had fought not long ago.

Luke looked around, his gaze settling upon the girl a few yards away from him. Truthfully, his gaze settled on the massive blood-red scythe she held in her hands. He shrugged, taking his blade before walking over to her-- while limping a bit, of course.

"Hey." Luke said to the girl, getting down on one knee to sit before her.

Zach scratched his head. "Yeah, i remember robots and aside from that...well, not much. Aside from these claws" he said, holding up his hands to show the claws. "Do you really think that kid is part of it?" he questioned.
