New Nomura interview with Famitsu

Posted

In the issue of Famitsu Tetsuya Nomura was interviewed on Kingdom Hearts 3. Read the translated interview below.

Kingdom Hearts 3 has been a much anticipated title in the series. Is it true that it absolutely cannot begin development until Final Fantasy Versus 13 is released?

Nomura: The Kingdom Hearts team is currently working on Versus 13 so it will not begin development until after that is completed.

— Are you aware that many of these 'Kingdom Hearts Forums' sites recently pranked several communities with a Kingdom Hearts 3 announcement?

Nomura: I am aware (laughs). I find it quite hilarious that people get so worked up over the release of Kingdom Hearts 3.

— Indeed. So can you reveal anything about Kingdom Hearts 3 for us today?Nomura: Yes, I can actually. Kingdom Hearts 3 was greatly inspired by the Kingdom Hearts Yaoi fanbase and will include a lot of Yaoi.

— How did you convince Disney to go along with this?

Nomura: Simple. I used all of the money we were going to use on other products, such as The world ends with you 2 and Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Volume 2 to buy Disney. Now it's a Yaoi channel.

— Don't you think that's a bit rash? Little kids watch that channel.

Nomura: They'll have to find out about Yaoi one way or another.

— True, true. Well thank you for your time Nomura.

Nomura: Of course (dry laugh).
