I was wondering if anybody could let me know something.

During the No Heart battles, I noticed that Shin Xehanort occasionally releases his Keyblade, allowing it to attack the player separately.

In this instance, the keyblade gets its own lifebar. Is it possible at this point to vanquish the Keyblade and if so, what effect does that have on the rest of the battle? I've never seen this happen in a play through, but I am curious. Notably, you can usually destroy a detachable body part of a boss, like in the case of the Trick Master, which makes the main boss change up his strategy.

If it were actually possible to do that, the Keyblade would probably just reappear in his hands again, and the battle would continue. I can't see anything special happening.

I don't think so. Hearing the sound of it blocking attacks and magic not doing anything to it, you might as well just keep dodging until it goes away.

So, you mean it's invincible after it detaches? I didn't know.

It's just used as a barrier for No Heart. It can't take any damage.

Why does it have a lifebar then? It doesn't deplete?

No, you can not destroy my keyblade!

That would be too simple

Even No Heart themself agrees
