In the beggining of CoM(Re), Marluxia talk about something that Sora needed, howerer, in order to claim it, he had to lose something tha is dear to him.

 

 

I thik the "something dear to you" was his memories.

 

But what was the thing Sora needed?He only had to sleep because Namin

It was a trick by Marluxia to get Sora to go inside.

I don't think he confused Sora. "Something you hold dear"... I think he's talking about Namin

Maybe his person or what ever its called when he met ventus, aqua, and terra, rembered and thought that he could lead them to ventus

HE DID TO CONFUSE HIM TO MAKE THINGS HARD

In a sceen in re:com, it reveals what Marluxia means. "to lose is to find" he loses memories and gains fake mems. he did not know until later they were fake, so he had strong feelings about them.
