Dead or Alive VS Final Fantasy (Amazing Animation!)

Posted

So, I was webbing stuff on the net as usual and I found this SWEET animated movie made by a FF and DOA fan. This came out to be one of most amazing video I've ever seen!

I didn't even know who to cheer for, since I love F.F and D.O.A!

I wonder how long did it take to make it?! He even got some of the moves right!

By the way... if you know the character's names. Could you tell me?

I know that there is Yuna, Rikku, Kasumi, Ayane... Cloud... Kairi... Ayate... dunno some of 'em.

I take unfair that some FF have godlike powers and they are using 'em against Ninjas...

Yup, I wish he was still continuing the story, but he's moved onto RWBY now. I would look into that, it's a great show.

Meh. Never cared for Dead Fantasy. Not my cup of tea.

The fact that he opens with the X-2 version of Yuna didn't help his chances.

What?! That doesn't matter! That animation is fricking epic! Can you do better?!

The animation is good enough, but that type of fight choreography doesn't really do anything for me. There's a lot of flashy moves, but they don't seem to be doing anything: the people don't show any signs of tiring or any kind of effect of being punched and kicked repeatedly. It feels like a lot of style with no substance.

Also, there's no real story. I mean, yeah, they're fighting. Great. Why are they fighting, and why do they care? And if the characters have no emotional investment in what they're doing, why would I have any? I have no idea what's at stake, what the point  to it is, or why the characters are even there. It just doesn't feel like a very good use of the characters.

Admittedly I've never played DoA (and never really intend to), but as an FF fan, I kind of felt that having a cast of really solid characters, with a lot of story behind them, being there pretty much just to exhibition their moves, without really taking into account their personalities, is a big letdown.

He probably just didn't finish it. Many fans asked him why and he hasn't answered, shame. I was really looking forward to the series.
