Hey everyone, how's it going? Well, as the name of this topic suggests, I suddenly came up with an idea for a story, and I think I'll write it after Seeing The World With Brand New Eyes, or after I make another story which I won't mention just yet. Anyways, here's a sneak peek for what's for a future story I may write. Tell me what you people think!
The dungeon is dark and humid, and Beren weakly opens his eyes, looking around and trying to make sense of what's going on. The last thing he remembered was a giant pillar of fire burning along a grim and dark battlefield. He could hear the faint screams of his dying comrades, and there he was, fighting his way through the hordes of enemies as he tried to reach out to his friends. But then his vision went dark, and that's the last thing he could remember. Then the sounds of the gate opening get his attention, and he looks up wearily, only now realizing that he's bound by chains tying his arms and legs. He smirks and says to himself: "Am I that dangerous of a prisoner that they have to tie me up like this? Hmph, cowards."
When the gate closes, his eyes catch a glimpse of the woman that had come to feed him a few times before. She had come to feed him everyday, but they had never made any conversation, but he decided that maybe this time he could start out with small talk. He looks up at the woman, with long black hair, flowing on her shoulders and riding down her back, her hazel eyes shining with the tiny beam of sunlight coming from the crack of the wall. Her face innocent and honest and hardworking. He then asks to her: "So, what's your name?" The woman then looks up at him, as if surprised, and then she kneels down and looks up at him and she asks: "Excuse me?" Beren sighs and says: "Your name. You do have one right? My name's Beren. Now, as common courtesy dictates, you should answer by telling me your name."
She smiles and looks at him and says: "My name is Ayla. It's nice to meet you Beren." Beren then laughs mockingly and says: "Nice to meet me? What are you, an idiot? You do know your feeding a prisoner of the state." She smiles and says: "I know that, but that doesn't mean that I have to treat you harshly, now do I?" Beren is then lost for words and he looks down and smirks underneath his long black hair: "Fair enough. So tell me Ayla...are you the only person they send down here?" Ayla then looks at him and says: "Actually no, there are many other people here, but I chose to come down here everyday, I asked it of the guard." Beren then looks up at her and asks: "Why would you ask such a thing?" She then turns around and looks at him, her arms folded across her chest: "I don't know. I just think that your an interesting person, and since you finally talked to me, I can get to know you better." Beren simply smiles and lowers his head and thinks to himself: "Hmph, it looks like I have at least one friend here in this hellhole after all."
So everyone, what did you think? That was the little thought that came to me today, and I thought it good to post it here for your opinion! Thoughts and comments below please! OH, and by the way, I'm not yet sure if I'll write this story after the current one I'm making, or if I'll write it some other time. But anyways, that's the idea! Thank you for reading. ^_^
