Not many can tell, but demons run amuck in this world. Only a select few can see them; and an even smaller number keep them contained. However, such is done under selfish purposes. The Organization of Demon Death Sentences (ODDS) seeks to destroy every demon they can to harvest the powerful, multi-purpose energy they release: deimya. The latest member to the Organization, Akito Naizaka, shows great promise... and innocence. It is yet to be seen how much ODDS will be able to manipulate him.

     – Compact Mode (4 inch cylinder)

     – Extended Mode (6 foot staff with pointed tip)

     – Reaper Mode (scythe add-on to Extended Mode)

     – Ender Mode (Extended Mode's tip detaches, revealing a thin blade to be wielded along with the pointed tip; each piece  approximately 1 meter in length)

"I've been through far worse than this." Akito replied.

"As for the teleportation idea, I don't exactly know where HQ is." He scratched the back of his head.

(FANSERVICE.)

 

Kotori looked at Akito, meeting his eyes.

"Far more worse....? Akito....I don't know a lot about you and that bothers me...." She said seriously.

(Shall I provide you with some fanservice?)

 

Akito took a step forward. "There are some things about me that you best not know." He replied. Equally serious.

He appeared behind her and cut through the demonic bird thing that was swooping down on them. It burned away on contact with his blade.

"Let's get moving."

(If you actually look for it in my post, Kotori has provided plenty of fansevice.)

 

Kotori nodded, starting to walk along with Akito.

'Things I shouldn't know...I have to know some stuff at least...especially if Im in love with him...' she thought.

( What are you trying to do )

 

"You seem awfully quiet, Kotori." Akito said.

(Short post... You didn't really give me anything to work with...)

"S-Sorry..." Kotori apologized.

"Thank you for bringing me to the hot spring yesterday...." She said, looking at Akito.

"But aren't you burning up now?" Kotori asked.

(Well at least it isn't vicarious seduction)

 

"I'm absolutely fine." Akito replied. "Like I said, I've gone through a whole lot worse than this."

The ground seemed to rumble. Akito stopped.

"Did you feel that?"

(Who knows it could vicarious seduction//shot)

 

Kotori nodded.

"What could have that been?" She asked, clutching onto Akito's arm a bit tighter.

(You worry me sometimes...)

 

Akito pulled away from Kotori and materialized his weapon. "Could be our sandy friend right below us." He quickly unsheathed his sword, sending a gust of wind across the desert plane, tearing a crevice open in front of them, revealing the back of the swiftly moving sandworm, still mostly submerged.

(You worry me a lot.)

 

Kotori stepped back a bit.

"You're pretty strong Akito with your new abilities...." She said seriously.

"A bit too strong...show off...." Kotori thought.

(Touché)

 

Akito smirked. "Maybe." He sheathed his sword. As if the noise were a signal, when the blade clinked into place, the sandworm burst into flames. His weapon disappeared. "And I can't help but show off a little can I?"

"W–Well I guess I showed off a little in our fight before you turned into a demon...." Kotori nodded.

"Let's keep going." She snapped.

"Right." He guided them around the hole he had created and further down the seemingly endless plane of sand. Looking back at his first fight with her, Akito frowned. He had continuously wondered why he spared her. He now knew why and couldn't help but feel guilty. He shook his head, clearing his mind. If he could get into her head, she could almost definitely get into his.

Kotori looked at Akito, using her empathy.

"...Why do you feel guilty Akito...?" she asked a bit sadly.

"It's none of your concern." Akito said bluntly. Who was he kidding? It was totally her concern, but he wasn't gonna say anything.

He sped up his pace. "We're almost there."

"Akito....you should know about my empathy that gives the ability to know your every emotion." Kotori said seriously.

He was starting to walk faster so there was definitely something he wasn't telling her.

"It is my concern Akito! I need to know what's bothering you...." She snapped.

"And if don't tell me what your really feeling guilty about AND WHY....then I won't give you more deimya." Kotori muttered, keeping up with Akito's pace, but she didn't dare to look at him.

"Answers can come later." He said bluntly. "But right now, ODDS is our concern."

"And I don't need any more power from you." He added. "I'm plenty strong on my own."

(Akito is rather harsh sometimes...)

 

Kotori gave a small nod, keeping her eyes on the ground. ODDS was there concern. She didn't need to be worrying about Akito...but she couldn't help it.

(Yeah...)

 

Akito walked on, not saying a word. He should probably apologize. But what exactly did he do wrong?

His thoughts and movement were interrupted, however, when an unseen force suddenly pulled him beneath the sand.

"A–Akito!" Kotori called, stepping back a bit.

"Akito!" She called again.

Kotori's call was answered by something other than Akito. Out of the sand behind burst out some kind of samurai robot. It was almost definitely designed by ODDS and the source of Akito's disappearance. Kotori was next on its list.

Kotori wield her sword, ice forming below her. Imminently, she formed a dome of ice around the two. She sent spinning arrows of ice around it. There was no blood in it, so she couldn't defeat it easily.

Sand was spinning around the robot. The Gold Rutile. Before she could realize it, the Rutile was behind Kotori, mid way through the swing of it's golden blade aimed to go diagonally across, cutting where her shoulder and neck met, to where her waist ended and hips began.

(Such precision OwO)

(SIKOTAAAAAAA)

 

Kotori dropped her sword, all the ice imminently disappeared and Kotori fell to her knees. Screaming in pain, she clutched only one side of her wound. She trembled, looking up at the robot.

(Sheesh... Kotori's a pretty poor fighter...)

 

The Gold Rutile paused.

 

"Heheheh..." A cloaked figure walked up towards the wounded demon. "My my The General told me to keep an eye out for a pair of powerful demons. I guess I'm getting a little paranoid if I attacked you two." He paused for a moment and cocked his head. "Aren't you Kotori Motoyo?" He asked.
