(Hopefully there isn't a thread about this that I missed )

 

As we all know, the Final Mixes are infamous for their new enemy models.  There are some that look better, some that look plain awful, and some that people can't seem to decide on.  I'd be a bit curious to see what you all like and dislike about some of the newer textures in 1.5 (You don't have to name them all, just the ones that stand out to you )

I probably won't cover every single re-textured enemy, as I haven't seen all of them enough to get an idea of what I really think of them, but there are a few that pop into my head.

 

First and foremost is the one that I think everyone brings up:  Guard Armor.  That thing is a cluster-foop of colors, and I have no intentions of going to the circus.  It's way too colorful for me D:  I liked the standard version better.

 

The next one I can think of is the Air Soldier...I don't even know what to say about that thing...It's just so...pastel.  I don't like it at all, it looks like someone vomited on it

 

I'm not a total hater though ;P  I really like what they did with the Stealth Sneak.  That is an amazingly cool looking recolor  It looks so awesome

 

Phantom and the Behemoths in The End of the World are two more that I really like.  The flame patterns on both of them look very cool, and the color choices work very nicely  That's just my opinion of course.

 

 

I actually liked Gaurd Armor's recolor. It just was so funny and when I first saw it I thought power rangers.

Trickmaster's is pretty great imo.

The ones I dislike is are large body, Parasite Cage, Sea Neon, Aqua tank and Gargoyle

My problem isn't the changes themselves, I think they look fine in both versions. It's that they have to change at all... I wish we had some sort of option to have classic color or remix color... Part of my nostalgia and thus my enjoyment of 1.5 when it comes along is going to be phased by having the enemies look different like that.

Yeah, I was thinking about that.  I don't know how easy it would be to give an option for different textures.

I dont really pay attention to how the enemies look once I see them, but yeah, there should be an option.

I preferred Trickmaster's red and Guard Armor's purple. The other recolor's i didn't mind.
