Why don't you want Harry Potter in KH (BE SPECIFIC AND THINK Outside it being NON Disney)

Posted

Seriously guys,

I would like you all to consider that HP may work out good in KH. Sure, non Disney but:

They both have very similar themes

They are both my favourite series of all time (excluding the Pixar namely Toy Story), so I would LOVE to see them together

Sora could learn a lot about magic

If it took place after the Xehanort Saga, it would be good as a little callback and a test to show that "things NEVER happen the same way twice" and just because something my be simialr, it doesn't always get handled in the same way

Would be good for sorcerory back story with Yen Sid and Maleficient and other sorcerers

Would expand the scope and add new fans to KH (I dunno bout you guys, but even though there is quite a few people that do no about it, most people do NOT, never even heard of it)

Like I said b4, they aired the first 3 movies on Disney channel

They were interested in doing the theme park

Harry Potter captures very similar magic to Disney (at least, the old disney anyways)

Boy Meets World cross overed TWICE with a Warner show, plus other Warner shows crossed over on ABC shows

Would be good as a unique world ala how NBC was in KH1, Pirates in 2, Tron in 3D etc.

Even if we would have to go back to the same world 7 times or so, each time it would be unique

Dementors basically are heartless

Instead of finding the Stone, Voldy could be looking for the keyhole/heart of the world

Sora & co. would have good chemstry with the HP people

Who Framed Roger Rabbit - need i say more?

Sora could learn some great spells to use against enemies

I've told you guys my thoguhts throulogy, now i expect you all to do the same please.

It's not Disney

Sora doesn't need to learn all the spells available in Harry Potter, surely that would overpower him.  His magic combination is fine as it is and the new ones added over time are unique to SE and not a rip of a movie.

They have similar roles.  Two boys who are the destined chosen one who must save every one.  There's no point in having clones of a character.

A LOT of the characters in HP would be cut out since keeping them all in would make that world unnecessarily long, this would annoy fans of HP that they're gone.

Sora will most likely have to take somebodies role, the way he took Robins in Winnie the Pooh.  The most acceptable persons role to take is HP, since he would then be the chosen hero still and have saved this world as he always does with the worlds.  This would annoy HP fans.

Getting the rights to the franchise may be expensive.  If they paid for the rights, they could be limited in what they could do.  That was the reason Mickey only appeared once in KH1.  They was the rights to the character, but were given very limited rights.  Where's the point in having a limited story.

It's always been a conglomeration of Disney + FF.  Again HP is not Disney nor FF, and there are PLENTY of Disney movies and FF games out there to include before they'd need to go round other series.  Disney + FF never seemed weird to me personally.  The art style made them fit in together.

Now KH + live action worlds, like Port Royal, are weird to look at, as it would be in Harry Potter.   I think Tron is the only Live Action movie I know that managed to pull it off 'cause Sora was put in matching outfits to the area which was equally as bright as his character, in Port Royal he stuck out like a sore thumb.

We have powerful mages in the game who can teach Sora magic/upgrade his magic.  We don't need wizards, they'd just be a filler.

Voldemort can't be merely reduced to a minor boss in one world.

They'd either have to CRAM the whole franchise into one game to finish the story or spread it out over several different games.  This would be expensive to maintain the rights to those characters over several games, and would lead the world to get boring having 7 (8 if the last is separated) variations of the world with small differences.

It'd be damn dark like Port Royal.  I like my cheery Disney worlds that are upbeat and nice looking, some with a few dark areas .  HP is so monotone and brown.

And I was never a fan of HP to the same degree as others.  Or FF.  But Disney movies are part of my childhood, I feel nostalgic seeing them in the game series I love.  I wouldn't feel that way about HP.  I never had strong attachments to Port Royal either since I played the game before watching the movies.  This is how I'd feel about HP.

Hermonines curly hair would be timely to animate.

I think they have an abundance of Disney worlds + FF characters to use already, and should focus on them and creating more original worlds.

DISCLAIMER: My own opinion, I'm allowed them.

Wow. This was fantastic. Especially the character parts. I mean I was pissed enough with Aerith MAGICALLY came back to life in KH, but if the twins, Sirius, Dumbledore, etc., came back to life just because of a KH world? I'd be piiiiiissed. All the more reminder to some unfortunate fictional deaths =(

Thank you, THIS is HOW you express an opinion ladies and gentlemen!

KH is a SEPARETE universe from the series, in this version, Aerith is still alive, wouldn't affect Harry. Btw, they were able to do Hermione's hair in the HP video games

Uh...people can express their opinions any amount of ways. I'm sure you have, yes?And exactly. But people were still pissed about that. Resurrecting characters would just piss way too many HP fans off. I actually don't see a problem with Hermoine's hair, sure it might look a little crappy since it's curly, but they could still pull it off. If they really wanted to. I keep trying to picture it but I honestly just can't see it.

While yes, it would be cool...it doesn't 'fit.'

Firstly, imagine what would happen if Square even messed with Harry Potter just a little bit. The fan backlash would be astounding.

Secondly, the amount of important characters in HP would either require massive cutting out (More backlash if certain guys were left out.) and all sorts of nonsense.

The fact that it doesn't have the same 'charm' that Disney films have (Yeah, sure, Pirates of the Caribbean has no charm, but it still has the Disney magic to it.), makes it a bit odd to have it in a KH game.

Though yes, having a Harry Potter world would potentially be cool, there is just too much that can be easily messed up (Worlds, characters, story, etc.) for anything to be done about it. This all being said if HP was owned by Disney.

Deja Vu?

Yes. I want HP in KH. Why? I want Voldemort and Xehanort to meet.

Yep, yep yep, (pun intended), you are good too at expressing ur opinion, instead of just saying no

HOLY SHIT I NEVR NOTICED THAT

Yeah, I'm sorry but I'm not going to look past the whole "Not a disney property thing." I hate these theoretical questions... Star Wars? Yeah, owned by Disney, actually a pretty distinct possibility of that happening... Harry Potter? Come on man. I don't even think a combination like this ever occurred to somebody until you brought it up.

if Disney had bought HP instead of Star Wars, then it would've came up. whats wrong with being a die hard fan of both?

Wow. Way to completely miss the point.

D'aww, I love the theories though and "what ifs". I know it's not for everyone but I just think they're entertaining. Though sometimes it gets to a point where it's just stupid, like for example KH x Disney CHANNEL...ugh imagine Sora with Wizards of Waverly place I would...figuratively die.

Points for the use of "Figuratively". Glad to see someone who knows the distinction... I know it's completely besides the point of the topic, but just had to say that.

I've actually been using that a lot lately. I felt sick last Thursday so I hid in the school bathroom and texted my mom. "Hey mama can you bring me some medicine? I'm figuratively dying." And it's sort of been my thing lol.

Nah dude screw that, they don't fit...Harry Potter was supposed to be its own universe. Period. I respect that. Think of it this way. KH is ITS own universe, with a whole bunch of Disney/original worlds in it. Harry Potter is awesome, and I read every book. But it's not right...Because it literally would make no sense. Just because it was aired on the Disney channel, doesn't mean they have enough rights with Disney to do such a thing. It WOULD be firetrucking sweet to bring Dobby back though. I'll give you that. xD
