Yep, Time to re-re-re-re-re-re-re-RE-release DragonBall Z on DVD again.
Apparently, this release is playing towards fanboys, nostalgics, and hardcore fans (who else, right?), as this series is going to be giving us the prime of DBZ's roots in its intial release: the first ever broadcast version! The first DVD announced is set to have the first 53 episodes plus the first 3 movies.
Now, for you non-DragonBall hardcore fans, let me explain the whole deal behind this: the version of DragonBall Z being released here is the one every knows and loves: the "Rock The Dragon" intro, the epic BGM, and the infamous Ocean Dub doing the voice-overs. You know what that means?
It means this:
Yep, that'll tickle some fancies.
Those of you who know me best as a DragonBall Z fan already know I ain't buying no Goddamned Ocean Dub DBZ. Ain't nobody got time for dat. Still, I'm sure the people that somehow like the Ocean Dub will get a kick out of seeing the first broadcast English version of DragonBall Z in sweet, sweet DVD quality.
So, what are your thoughts? Gonna buy this? No? I sure as Hell won't.
