So I recently got the new Devil May Cry game but I haven't played any others in the series. Is this new one related the other games at all or is a Western spinoff?

    DmC: Devil May Cry is new beginning of Devil My Cry series, you don't need to know story of others to be able to enjoy about it. 

    But DmC 1-4 are really good, play them
