Zalor walked around konoha quietly, heading to Ichiraku Ramen. It was her favorite place to go, not just because ramen was her favorite food, but everyone looked down on her, even though she did nothing wrong... It was her place where she could stay calm.

 

'Why don't you make friends, Zalor?' Gobi asked Zalor in her thoughts. Zalor looked down, still walking.

 

'No one wants to be my friend.... Why make them?' Zalor thought back kind of sharply. She looked around and spotted a paint bucket.

 

'Zalor.... What are you thinking...' Gobi asked sternly in her thoughts, but she ignored him and ran over to it and picked it up. She looked at the mountain with the hokage's faces on it and smirked.

 

"Heheh..." She snickered and headed straight to there.

Hana continued her pursuit, chasing right behind them, but she was slipping.  Her distance between them were too short and they would notice.  The three Anbu-looking ninjas stopped and turned around to see the girl following them.  Being at top speed, Hana crashed right into them, seeming to be the only one hurt.

 

"What are you doing, kid?" one of the masked men asked.

"You guys aren't Anbu!  Who are you guys?" Hana preached loudly.

One of the men behind their leader turned to look at the other.  The other responded with a simple, "tch."  

 

The leader quickly disappeared and reappeared, attacking her from behind.  Seeing this in top speed, she was able to respond and block his attack.  But he was too strong and the attack blasted her back quite a bit.  They all vanished afterwards, accidentally leaving one of their masks in the dust that was sent flying.

(Yes, we're all a single team)

 

Zalor blinked and ran after the girl.

 

"Kinatama, come on!" Zalor said and ran top speed. She saw three ANBU attack Hana. Zalor growled.

 

"Why you...." Zalor growled. 

"Right!" Kinatama responded, right on Zalor's heels. That blast... I could feel it from here... what's going on?

 

He then saw the ANBU and tried to stop them, but before he could, they disappeared. "Nuts! I coulda taken 'em!"

Koukon noticed that Hana was being attacked by the ANBU men. "Looks like trouble..." He muttered, then ran off in their direction. He eventually found the others, noticing that the men were now gone. "What was that all about...?" He asked the others, hoping to get an answer. "Looks like they left this behind..." He held up the ANBU mask and studied it. "Those guys couldn't have been ANBU...

Zalor looked at the mask also.

 

"Hmm?" Zalor hummed as she looked at it. "It reminds me of... A mist village mask?"

 

She wondered.

"You think that it was some Mist Village ninja spying, then...?" Koukon asked. He'd never met anyone from the Mist, so he had to believe what Zalor was saying. 

Kinatama went over to Zalor and Koukon. "What the? Hidden Mist? That's weird," he said, seeing the mask being held by Zalor.

Zalor shrugged.

 

"I don't know. I just have a feeling..." Zalor muttered. Gobi didn't say anything, she just had a strange feeling...

"I got a feeling too. A bad feeling," Kinatama responded. Geez. What's going on around here?

(So do we have a sensei/teacher that's the leader of our team, Team [insert number here]?)

 

The girl stood there fazed by her defeat.  She looked at the mask and knew something was wrong.  Could it have been the Hidden Mist or could it have been something else?  She had to know!

Zalor nodded slowly.

 

"Hm... Yeah." She muttered.

"Let's go ask one of our sensei's!  They'll know what's up..." Hana said, waiting for someone to lead the way.

"Good idea. Wouldn't want this to go unchecked. This might be more serious than we think. Let's go!" Kinatama cried, turning around and running straight for the Academy building.

Hana followed closely behind Kinatama.  "Could it be?" she asked herself, noticing a very peculiar fact about the mask.  She looked back, waiting for the other two to pick up speed.

(Just to be clear, is Tamaki-sensei a girl?)

 

"Let's go ask one of our sensei's!  They'll know what's up..." Hana said, waiting for someone to lead the way.

Zalor sweatmarked.

 

"Tch." She grunted and ran after the two.

(kays.)"Where is Koukon?" she wondered, as Zalor caught up to her.  Hana maintained her speed, waiting for Kinatama to make a deciding turn or some sort of indication to which direction to go.

"There it is!" Kinatama yelled pointing a finger at a large red building that sat a couple of blocks away. "Come on, I know a shortcut! Let's get vertical!" Kinatama commanded with a smirk, using his enhanced leg strength and speed to jump straight up and start hopping along the buildings of the village and on an easier route to the Academy building.

Zalor growled.

 

"Tch. Whatever!" She said and went another way, jumping from the roofs of buildings, going her own special route to the academy. Once she reached there, she jumped over the fence that was where the small practice training grounds were, just outside of the school building.

 

'You don't have to be so jelous, ya know...' Gobi thought to Zalor. Zalor snorted.

 

"Whatever old wolf." Zalor muttered.

"Damn!" Kinatama cursed, landing hard on his feet in the Academy's training grounds, a few feet from Zalor. "How'd you get here before me?" Kinatama asked, a little bit of sourness in his voice as he walked over to Zalor, arms crossed against his chest.

Hana was a by the book person.  Even though being supposedly related to a sporadic hero, she had a love hate relationship with the rules.  She followed Kinatama to the Academy, making sure to follow all his movements.  The only thing she DID change was her landing, this time not falling and instead with the grace of a ballerina. 

 

"Koukon got left behind... I wonder what's keeping him?" she asked.

"Don't know, but he better hurry up," Kinatama replied. "We don't have time to waste!" He added, punching his right fist into his open left palm.

Zalor put her hands behind her head and glared at Kinatama.

 

"Hmph." She grunted and looked away. She didn't want to be so sour in front of Hana, but Kinatama just HAD to show off.

 

'Stop being so rude Zalor.' Gobi thought to her, but she ignored him. It wasn't her fault that Kinatama was a show-off.

Kinatama softly chuckled to himself, the corner of his eye catching Zalor's pouting. She's always been this way... even when we were kids. Still... I'm glad she was able to be my friend, when no one else would. I'm also glad I have someone to compete with... heh. Just another way to get stronger. And that's why I love it so much...

 

"Hey.. Zalor... " Kinatama spoke, his eyes closed and his mind centering into a focus. "Since we're waiting for Koukon to get here... let's kill some time." He offered, turning towards the Jinchuriki of two Tailed Beasts and putting his fist up. "Come on. Let's fight."

Zalor blinked then smirked.

 

"Heh. Alright! I was waiting to kick your ass someday!" Zalor yelled enthusiastically.

That was easy. Then again, it was easy to spar with her back then, too. Nothing's changed; except my strength. Heheh.

 

"Alright!" Kinatama raised his right foot up, brought it forward, and planted it down hard, causing a few cracks to form on the ground below; he then brought his forearms up with his fists pointing towards Zalor. Kinatama had formed the signature taijutsu stance of the Mottoyoi Clan.

 

"I've been waiting for another match. I'm ten times as good as I was last time, I promise!" Kinatama boasted.
