Have you ever been asked to explain how you feel?

Posted

I honestly shouldn't be complaining about this, least of all here. But I hate it when you feel an emotion and when you attempt to explain said emotion to someone they ask you "why?" How am I supposed to answer that? I don't know why, I just do. It's particularly frustrating when it's someone is close to you and the expectation is that they would sympathize with you. Yet they have no idea.

Oh well ill stop QQing now. I just needed a place to rant.

Well there are times we feel a way without knowing why, like anger, sadness or indifference, but I think when they're asking why they just want to know what made you feel that way and if talking about it would make you feel better.  Like if you said you were depressed, and it was cause someone died, talking about it could help, but if you genuinely don't know why you feel what you feel then I guess it could be annoying
