Retrace, Relive, Rewrite: Kingdom Hearts I [RP]

This is the official RP.  Sign ups here: http://kh13.com/forum/topic/58931-retrace-relive-rewrite-kh1-rp-sign-ups/

As everyone arrives, the sky begins to turn dark as a mysterious figure floats above them.  This mysterious figure bears the ever so familiar black coat, to hide their existence.  As more of the KH13 characters appear, the figure grows to a massive size.

“I am in the process of rewriting your beloved series, if you do nothing about it, it will be nothing like the original version and as I said before, you will lose.  To make this fair, I will give you one year to save the events in Kingdom Hearts I, but do not feel limited to just those events.  Whatever your choices are, they are yours to make and the mistakes that follow, are also yours to bear.  And one last thing, as I see more of you are joining, for each person that enters this realm, a month will be deducted, only until there is only one month left.  Have fun!”

The unknown force disappears in a vortex of darkness.  Everyone is left in the main islands, wondering what will happen next.  The sky begins to clear up, the school bell can be heard as students leave the school premises.

A lingering voice remains.  “I will grant one of you the memories of what occurs in Kingdom Hearts I, but only this one time. There are 9 of you, you have 3 months left.”

A large blast appears in front of everyone’s eyes, signifying the return of some of their memories (aka the character memories).  What will they do?

(So I decided to make it a little easier by giving one of you guys kh1 memories, since everyone else's memories are exclusive to one character.  I PM'd this person ahead of time to confirm.  The rest of you will have to ask in character to see who it is.  No cheating!  as in asking someone out of character....)

(To recap, everyone only has memories (regarding KH) of the specific characters they chose, nothing else about KH, although you can refer to your real life outside the notebook if you please.)

I'm back! Thanks Oathkeeper!

Arrow after precision bolt arrow was sent towards the heartless as Nocturne got a little more efficient at reloading his rifle after every shot. Whoever has this "completed memory' had better be found... fast. Me and Zion can't hold them off for long at this rate. As he sighted for the next shot, he noticed a familiar color scheme off the corner of his eyes. He looked off to his right, and caught a glimpse of someone heading inside a cave entrance near the waterfall. "huh?" he said aloud before returning his sights on the incoming heartless, "be right back Zion! I thought I saw someone!" After letting off another shot, he immediately reloaded his rifle before running towards the 'secret place' cave entrance.

As he approached the cave entrance, he aimed the arrow rifle into it, expecting a hostile response from the heartless. Suddenly, a girl flew out the mouth of the cave and towards him at an incredible speed. For just a split second, he was caught off guard before immediately recognizing the girls face. As she flew towards him, her expressionless, almost lifeless face immediately filled his field of view as he tried to catch her in his arms. "Kairi!" he screamed as he braced himself to stop her momentum. Almost as if they were going to kiss or bash their heads together in a spectacular fashion, he could have sworn he felt her nose with his as she immediately disappeared into nothingness. A sharp chill ran down his spine as he fell to his knees, the mental image of her lifeless face seared into his mind as he tried to make sense of what just happened. A couple of seconds passed before he snapped back to reality, then decided to form back up with Zion. "Nevermind. False alarm!" he screamed towards her as he let off another shot at a heartless, "Any progress on finding this special person?!"

(Honestly guys, since I know who has the memories of KH, it'd be kinda weird if I just led you to that person lol...)

Ran:

Ran moved all over the place and repeated the tactic he used to destroy the heartless.  "So let's see," he said to himself.  "The person can't be Oath or Javelin and he said there were nine of us.  I can't be the person either and I doubt the guy with amnesia knows anymore than us."Ran used the darkness to travel to the top of the island, on top of the mountain over the shack.  There were no heartless appearing up here, making it easier to gauge the situation clearly.  From there, he could only see one guy, near the ocean.  "Better ask him if he knows any-"  His thought process was interrupted with a black glove blocking his mouth.

Ran woke up in the same cave Nocturne went through, not too long after he had left.  His rude awakening was interrupted by a deep voice in the corner.

"This world has been tied to darkness."  The guy continued his speech as Ran fell into under dark abyss.

Mysterious Figure:

"One of you, isn't playing fair," he announced throughout the islands.  "So I'm not going to play fair either.  Let's see, instead of one, how about one for each of you."

The shadows stopped teeming throughout the islands as a large colorfully dark orb engulfed the sky.  The two islands began to rise, both in tact and in a collision course for each other.  To make things worse nine large dark creatures, even more threatening than all the small ones combined appeared on top of the islands.  They were Darksides.

"Now there one big huge thing!?" Derik was in disbelief. "If this wasn't the only place I could be, I would just say"I'm out" and be done! Jimminy freakin' Christmas trees!" Derik thought, his mind a buzz trying to understand this all.

"That's right you mother..." Chelsea's boisterous voice echoed through the island she had found herself on just a moment. She had just engulfed a shadow in a ball of flames. However, as she began yelling her obscenity of choice, a much larger threat loomed behind her. The darkside had hit her, and knocked the girl back. As her back slammed against the cliff wall, and she slid back down to the sand, she wondered why she had done this. Instead of writing in some big strong commando of a man, she had stuck with her young, kinda small self. Bad choice now that she thought about it a bit more. Chelsea blew a lock of bright red hair out of her eyes, and spit blood onto the sand next to her. She stood slowly, her eyes held a glare that could turn Santa's icy toy factory into a tropical island travel destination. The darkside still stood tall in front of her. It was then that she remembered the good things she had written in about herself. She had retained her techniques from various martial arts, and had included some fire magic to boot. She gripped the ruby red claws she had in her left hand, and summoned flames all over her right. "Maybe this won't be so bad," Chelsea muttered, looking up at the darkside.

As the islands started to rise and tilt, the sudden realization that his gummi ship was parked nearby dawned on him. "Aww nut!" Nocturne screamed as he charged a shot and targeted a darkside, "I gotta save my ship!" Amidst the chaos, the unmistakable sound of metal creaking under stress pierced the ambient noise, and a sharp chill ran down his spine. "Zion! I'm gonna have to withdraw! My ship!" As the island tilted a little more, he ran towards the little forest of palm trees where his ship was located.

"Why the hell would I say the EXACT FRIGGIN THING MAN?" Zion yelled. "Fine! I'll hold the line - DARKSIDES EVERYWHERE!"

Going panicy, Zion, was mentally slapped by Ori, and reeled as she fought to stay in control.

-Dammit. Control yourself.-

"I am you bitch." Zion muttered, then flapped, moving back.

"Alright, so, nine Darksides, one bleeding girl, on guy saving his ship, and others I don't know can really fight. Ori, I think it's time."

-Quite right.-

Wings bursting with golden flames, the two Keyblades combined as two more - Blazing Midday and Twilight's End - flared to life, telekinetically held aloft. Zion rose into the air.

"NOCTURNE YOU NIMROD! GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE WITH THAT SHIP!"

Knowing he'd hear her, Zion, concentrated. "Everyone! Get onto Nocturne's ship! Figure out who has the memories! I'll try and buy us some time!"

With that, Zion charged, then broke the Dawn into the Oathkeepers, using four for greater flexibility.

"Eat this!"

Initiation Salvation Raid Quadra, Zion threw the keyblades at four of the Darksides, then pelted a fifth with Albion Strike Unleashed. But the other four let loose dark orbs, and ori had to shift to defend, slightly weaking Albion Unleashed...

The Vanguard of Dawn's Salvation faltered but did not fall. Single-handedly, Zion was drawing the attention of the darksides.

"Would you all kindly work faster? I can't exactly do this on my own without any time to test my powers and such you know!"

Zion felt Ori shift more power, creating a Dawnguard Sphere. Dark Orbs hit all over as her Keyblades flashed back to her hands. She was surrounded, utterly surrounded by now, unsure if anyone was trying to attack the Darksides.

"Ori...Xion...please...tell me about her."

Oh man. She's gonna beat me to a pulp when this is over. Better kiss the sands goodbye while I'm at it...

Punching the button to lower the loading ramp, Nocturne quickly ascended to the bridge and started to go through an all too familiar drill. A holographic image of a girl flicked into life on the holo pedestal right next to the pilot seat. "Victoria!" he sternly addressed the avatar, "Emergency protocol Blue Alpha. Keep the ramp down, we're going for a hot exfil of all personnel here." "Roger that, Commander!" the girl replied as the engines screamed into life, faster than it normally would. Spotting the darksides, a wide grin formed on his face as he sat down. Wrapping his right hand around the control stick, he pulled the trigger as he pulled up on the stick and pushed the throttle forward, quickly moving the ship to Zion's direction and sending a light missile toward the darksides that were an imminent threat to her. After sending the shots, he maneuvered the ship so it was hovering right next to her, it's dual laser cannons ready to take out any imminent threat to the duo.

As the air around the islands started to go turbulent, "Victoria" struggled to keep the ship at a standing hover. He looked out to the still crumbling island, trying to find other people. "Commence a scan, Victoria! I don't want to leave anyone behind once we all evacuate!"

(For the sake of plot purposes and well, some of you are unvailable at the time, I will add a twist)

Mysterious Figure:

"The person who had the memories pertaining Kingdom Hearts 1 did not act, a new person will be deemed worthy of them," the voice spoke once again, cutting the tension in the air with mere words.  "I want a challenge from the people of KH13, not mediocrity at a trying task."

(So I messaged a new person to have the memories.  One who has been participating quite a lot.  May make the plot move ahead.)

(I'll reply later, but as of now, I'm busy, but its not I who has the info, guys.)

Ran:

Ran dropped to the floor, exhausted.  He slowly gained his composure as he eyed a Dark Side in front of him.  He opened a large dark portal that used what was left of his power to engulf the creature, but the creature just reappeared before him.  "What the?" he wondered, being engulfed by the same Darkness.

Zion reeled, memories flooding her mind. She started backing towards the ramp, her Keyblades flashing away.

"Can't...hold it..."

barely making it to the ramp, all keyblades now disappeared, Zion collapsed into a heap, and began to crawl into the Overwatch.

"Cody...We have...we have to destroy them. Defeat them. Have to find the...the one who falls to darkness...have to..." She groaned as everything got blurry.

"We have to...try and save...him...and then...defeat these things."

Finally making it inside, knowing Victoria would have been listening, Zion again collapsed, and went still.

Cody... I thought... Only Kairi knew that name...

Nocturne shook off the thought as he heard Zion collapsing onto the metal loading ramp below. "Victoria!" he yelled over the ambient noise of the turbulent air and engine noise from outside, "Keep her steady! I gotta take care of Zion!" Looking over his shoulder as he descended the stairs, he saw her shaking her head in acknowledgement. Returning his attention to the most imminent crisis, he rounded the short staircase to see Zion laying there on the floor, weak and unconscious. Feeling a surge of rage as he gently picked up her body, his right eye glowed as the emotion started to take over. "Aegis Wingblade" he whispered through clenched teeth, and in an instant his weaponized wings appeared in a brilliant display of light behind him. All 12 keyblades folded over his shoulders before shooting forwards like missiles, then taking defensive positions around the ship. 2 wingblades already had their sights set on the nearest darkside and set off to make itself useful, but to no avail as another soon appeared to take its place.

With Zion's body in his hands, he turned around and started towards his bedroom. Time seemed to slow to a crawl as he looked down into her face and felt a sharp pain in his heart. He was unsure what to make of this new emotion as the door gently hissed open, revealing the neat and tidy bedroom that was onboard. Placing her body on the bed before gently covering her in the crisp, white blanket, an overwhelming urge took over him as he gently brushed his hand against her soft cheeks. "You've done all you can" he slowly whispered as he rested his hand on her shoulder, "now it's my turn. Rest easy, Zion." His trance was interrupted as a sharp alarm was heard from the bridge. "Multiple hostiles and multiple personnel detected!" Victoria screamed, "The world is about to fall apart, Nocturne!" After taking one last look at Zion, he bolted towards the bridge and strapped himself into the pilot seat. "Gimme the location of other personnel on this island, and restrict ship maneuverability to anything over 10 degrees! I got an unrestrained, unconscious Zion in the bedroom, and I don't wanna bruise her up! Got it?!"

"Yes, Commander!" she replied as he started taking manual control of his ship. Off the side, he eyed Ran and Derik before eyeing his radar, spotting more contacts, some darksides and some unidentified. Easing on the throttle, he quickly moved his ship near Derik. "Get on. We're evacuating." he calmly announced through the exterior mic.

(Now I have time! YESSSS)

Derik did his best to doge and evade the strikes of the Dark Side, who occasionally was also being targeted by Darksides. "If only I knew how to fight!" Derik yelled out in annoyance. As he evaded more and more, he eventually watched Zion fall to the ground, not knowing what had put her down. A feeling welled up. What was this feeling? Rage. The first time he remembered feeling this emotion, he was young, though he looked different. Light tan skin, pudgy cheeks and stomach, a green shirt with a Soccer ball on it. The rage was over someone striking his sister. His first recalled memory, But the feeling was stronger than that in the memory, by far. He had no idea why, he hadn't even known this girl for more than five minutes, yet he felt a friendship between them, like as if he knew her. "That "she"'s a "he"." A little voice said from the back of his head, the word Oathkeeper returned to mind.

"I... I know her... From somewhere... Zion De Wynter... Original Character of Oathkeeper, a male fan of something I was a fan of, too... And that is enough for me to consider her more important than myself..." The rage of his that built up from seeing someone go down nearly cracked as one of the Darkside's attempted to smash him down with it's hand. As the creature's hand nearly reached him, he cut through it and severed the arm from the rest of the body. Only his mouth could be seen due to the angle at which he looked down. "You harm people I respect, care for, and need to see live to the end of this. I don't care what you all are. You die a black, bloody death today." He leaped high, higher than seemingly possible with all the extra weight, high enough to reach the shoulders of the Dark side. "You lost a wrist, so how about an arm?" His voice was deadly flat-toned, almost sounding like he was annoyed and speaking sarcastically. He saw the creature try to swipe at him with it's good arm, but as it did, Derik leaped onto the other arm and jumped from it and stabbed through the shoulder of the black creature. It made an odd cry of pain as the blade was then turned and pulled in a manor to rip it's arm off. Next, he stabbed the collar area of the beast, and activated his drive form: Demon Reign form. His clothes, themselves, did not change, but Derik gained a light green aura and a second keyblade, this one resembling that of a weapon known as "Void's End", only it was modified at the tip, where it curves up, to have a black and white set of teeth that looked like a crown, the light one with black bat wings and pristine, the other was cracked, damaged, and had a set of small angel wings on it's sides instead, acting as the teeth. With it, he stabbed it's back from the point he was at, and tore upwards, destroying it entirely. He proceeded to kill a few more, but they continued to return. he eventually heard Four's command to board.

"Come back for me, I'm fine here. Get everyone loaded up on the ship, tell me if anyone needs help and I;ll go help them out. And sir, please keep you and everyone else safe, for me through this process." Derik yelled to Four.

Nocturne heard Derik's remark, and nodded to signify his understanding. His fingers danced on the joystick as he maneuvered the craft towards the other people on the crumbling island. Eyeing his radar screen, several blips appeared. looking at the screen as well as outside the bridge window, he was able to discern darkside signatures from the other people on the island, and started towards some of the others.

Mysterious Figure:

"You all have hilariously failed at replicating even the first instances of the story and for that another character has disappeared," the voice announced through the air of what remained of the world.  "Your precious king is no more and so is the only thing that can lock the Door To Darkness.  You'll have to find your own means of doing so."

The announcements stop for a brief moment as the Dark Sides are engulfed into the void.

"I have grown bored with your mindless efforts.  Be gone!"

The large dark sphere in the sky grows as it begins to suck the world completely dry.  Everything and everyone in it is sent into the core.

Hearing the mysterious voice, Nocturne looked at his radar screen and noticed that the signatures on it started to disappear one by one. Clenching his teeth, he realized that trying to save everyone on the crumbling islands was now a lost cause. Making what should have been a painful decision, Nocturne coldly turned ship around before gunning the engines to quarter throttle and aimed his nose straight at Derik. He approached him at very low altitude, intent on scooping him up into the loading bay area before calling the rescue op off. Upon hearing a rather satisfying thunk from below, he flipped a switch to close the loading ramp. "Derik!" he screamed towards the door and the empty crew quarters behind him, "Hold on to something!"

"I have grown bored with your mindless efforts.  Be gone!"Slamming the throttle sticks forwad, the gummi ship shot forward towards the distant stars and he started to sink into his seat. The whole ship started to rumble as the engines kicked into afterburners, Nocturne himself hell bent on getting what little of the survivors off the doomed world. As the haze of the world started to fade away from the bridge window, he looked back at the world to see a giant black orb consuming what remained of Destiny Islands. "I'll be back..." he whispered as he returned his attention to Victoria and the dazzling array of buttons and switches that laid out in front of him. "Victoria, divert shield energy to radar array, and divert engine power to the light missile systems. Going for a long range engagement of heartless here, so I don't have to do any fancy flying. Can you do that?"

"Done and.... done." she happily replied. He looked off to a screen to confirm the changes and pulled back on the throttle sticks, since less energy being sent to the engines means more that she can work with. "I'm letting you take the controls, Victoria. Set a course to Traverse Town as per contingency protocol Blue Alpha."

After she acknowledged the orders, he took turned around and started heading towards the loading ramp, hoping that Derik wasn't hurt too bad in the rough evac procedure. As he rounded the short staircase and started heading down another to the loading ramp, he eyed the open door to his bedroom and thankfully saw Zion still laying there on his bed, unmoved by his restricted maneuvering. "Heh, still got it." he whispered as he started his way down.

"No.... I have to save them all...there had to be another... Yes, that's it..." As the door to the shop began to close, Derik kicked off of the ship's loading deck, as well as removing the steel coat he wore, revealing the red, yellow, black, and grey flannel and a pair of grey jeans. Exiting into the world still, Derik managed to then kick off from a crumbling reminant of the island, seeing Silver Kuroi, he dashed towards him. "No time for complaints. Sorry, you'll be.easter this way..." He struck a few nerves, knocking him out, and Derik then shouldered him. Next onto Nexromark and Asuka, who he caught and began shouldeing. "Now don't skwirm! I can't carry that much on me, and squirming dosent help!" He yelled. His next hit was Ran. Dashing onto airborn rocks, he leapt from rock to rock till he managed to approach Ran. "Watch out! I'm getting us out of here!" He grabbed ran and contenued on. "I hope its only a few more... I can't handle much more weight..." Derik thought as he next approached Donovan. Grabbing him, next and finally was heading towards Chelsea. "My form... It's... Running out..." The energy the transformation was draining away, like a man who hasn't had any liqid for a little less three days to a pitcher of water. He nearly slipped as he approached Chelsea, but he managed to grab her. "Now would be a good time to notice I'm not there, Four..." He thought, putting all his leftover energy to shoot himself at Four's ship, nearly hitting it as he grabbed onto a exterio. Pannel that had latter rungs. The wind rushing through his hair. He brought the member's he got from the island to the hull of the ship, and prayed Four would be able to get them in.

As he entered the loading bay area, he was shocked to see no one there. "What the-?!?!" he screamed as he immediately turned around and bolted to the bridge. "Victoria! Kill the engines and bring this craft to a gradual standstill! The person I tried to rescue isn-" As she complied and the humming of the engines started to get a little more quiet, an alarm was heard near one of the consoles. Immediately dashing over to the screen, a red dot was pulsating on the right engine intake on the silhouette of his craft. "Son of a... VIctoria, what's our airspeed?"

"Currently 30 miles and slowing sir."

"I gotta perform an EVA [external-vehicular activities]. This guy decided to latch on to my intake instead."

As he entered the loading bay, he punched a button that lowered a door behind him and sealed the small room from the rest of the ship. Opening a small square door embedded into a wall next to him to reveal a winch system, he pulled on the hook and latched it onto his armor. Two buttons later, an explosive decompression that sent him flying out of the bay, and one rather unmanly scream later, he slowly made his way to where Derik decided to hold on for dear life. Surprised by the number of people he was carrying on him, he grabbed Derik's collar before pushing a button on the hook, and the winch system kicked to action, pulling the rest of them into the loading bay. The zero gravity helped as they approached the safe haven, and once everyone was inside, he closed the loading ramp, sealing everyone inside and allowing the gravity system to take over. "This is... unexpected." he told Derik as the room re-pressurized to normal levels. "Who are they?"

Zion sat up, rubbing her head. The entire experience made her woozy and uncertain. She didn't feel good. "

"That...sucked..." she groaned, standing up. Zion felt the ship decelerate, and stumbled outside, and finally managed to get to the compartment as the room was depressurized.

"Cody? You here?" She asked, leaning against the wall. "I need to slap everyone who didn't help me. You included for not shooting them with Overwatch's guns."

Even after a hard-fought battle, the darkside Chelsea had assigned herself to beat up was still up and kicking. "Crud," she muttered, looking up to the large shadow. It was then that things really started to go wrong. As the mysterious figure's voice boomed again, the black void grew larger, and the darksides vanished into the darkness. "I've never died on the first world before," Chelsea muttered, knowing this was probably the end. However, a man came out of nowhere, and scooped her up. It was a matter of moments before they were both launched towards the gummi ship above. Soon, the landing ramp opened, and a lot of the written characters that were on Destiny Islands barreled inside. Chelsea took a deep breath as the situation seemed to calm down. She pushed her savior off her ungratefully, and stood in the ship. "My name's Chelsea," Chelsea said to the pilot of the gummi ship.

"Others of the island... Originally, I was just going to get that one guy, Rin, I think it was... But then I saw the other inhabitants. My body just did the work for me, from there on in..." Derik said, sighing in relief as Chelsia pushed him off. "I'm out of energy, used every last ounce I could muster to collect them..." Derik looked at Four. "Sorry to ask this of you, but could you please sit me up onto a chair or something?"

As the door that separated the loading bay opened up, Zion popped her head in. "I need to slap everyone who didn't help me. You included for not shooting them with Overwatch's guns.""Hey!" Nocturne exclaimed as he held his hands up, "I shot a couple of rounds, missiles too! But those darksides just get replaced as soon as it disappears!"

Eyeing the others, a girl had already extended her hand. "My name's Chelsea"

"Nocturne. Welcome aboard. So uh...Derik. they all are?"

"Others of the island... Originally, I was just going to get that one guy, Rin, I think it was... But then I saw the other inhabitants. My body just did the work for me, from there on in... Grabbing his collar and dragging him up the short flight of stairs to the main crew cabin area, he did what he asked and placed him on a sofa that was on one side of the room. "That ought to do. So. We're all from a site called KH13. In that site, I'm Javelin." he then pointed to Zion. "Over there is Oathkeeper. So... who are you two on that site?"

Zion stumbled after them, collapsing into a chair.

"Yeah, I'm that one guy named Oathkeeper. If any of you ask why I'm a girl, I'll blast you to oblivion."

Groaning, Zion rubbed her temples. "I'm my OC....why didn't I make myself Soren? Just why?"

"Thanks..." Derik sighed as he was plopped out on the couch. "If I knew who I was, I would tell you. But somehow, i recognize some of you, I don't know how though." Derik said, followed by a slight laugh at Zion's irritation. "Well, I guess that it's your true self, in a manor. But to let you know who I know... I know you, Nocturne Zero-Four, Javelin434 eternal guardian of someone... her name starts with a "K" but the rest of the word just... Melts out of my brain, in a sense. You are Zion De Wynter, Oathkeeper136, the name makes me think of a girl with black hair and blue eyes, but that's a different matter. I recognize the one who's a human with cat-ears, the name Silver Kuroi comes to mind, that name only. I know who you are, but I'm not too sure of myself. Mostly what I know is that my name is Derik Absolon, as far as I know, I apparently have superhuman physical strength, a fetish for heavy things and a yandre-esk personality when it comes to people I think I know." Derik thought for a few more moments. "And two words come to mind when I'm trying to recall anything in direct relation to my past. "Never" and "Better" if those words mean anything, that is." He asked.
