Back in KH2 in the World that never was after the organization was defeated and after kingdom hearts was set free....do any of you guys remember Maleficent and Pete rambling on about how the castle in the WTNW was suitable for them to take over? Did they actually take the castle? Because in DDD dream drop distance we see the 13 darknesses sitting in place in the real world in the chamber room Where Nothing Gathers. Well...were they in the real world? Or were they still in the Dream World?  

 

either way, if the conversation in the Room Where Nothing Gathers, was in the Dream World, does Maleficent actually have ownage  of TWTNW?

TWTNW is an inbetween world meaning it exists in both at the same time :Thats one of the reasons why it was chosen for the new org to meet up especially with the time travel aspects.

Nomura: When that world’s logo appears, it indicates the boundary between the dream and reality. When Sora arrives, it’s reality and then goes into a world of sleep. Riku arrives in the sleeping world, and as you progress and the world logo appears, that’s when it becomes reality.

 

 

So both characters were there while they were awake and asleep during different points in the world . We see Maleficent in the realm of light trying to kidnap Minnie but we don't know where she went after or even before really.

hmmm so does maleficent still hang around the castle? doubt that anyone knows..

She probably didn't get far in the castle. You have to remember that she was also ganged up on by dusks later.
