OMG! THOSE GRAPHICS ARE GORGEOUS! My faith in Nintendo has been restored. In Nintendo we trust.

It also involves the way the game is played, which the game-pad controller is something that is different than any other system, put out thus far.

I bet you $100 that Sony's next console's controller will have a screen on it.

They're already working on having it so that the vita can connect to the PS3, as a controller. This is in response to Nintendo's game-pad controller. lol

Playstations would be dead without Nintendo to copy.

Hey, you're talking to a Playstation 3 fanboy. lol I wouldn't say they copy them, just that they learn from them. Microsoft does the same. But, the Wii U will also have an XBox style controller. In the end, they're all just learning from each other, in an attempt to outsell each other. lmao

Dude, I don't even care for Nintendo and I can tell you that this system looks great. It will most likely outsell the 720 and PS4, because it appeals to hardcore and casual gamers all around the world. Innovation doesn't just involve graphics. It also involves the way the game is played, which the game-pad controller is something that is different than any other system, put out thus far.

First thats not what I'm talking about when I say innovation second no it doesn't it appeals it kids and soccer moms

It looks great I just think it's a shame that its taken this long for nintendo to just catch up to playstation and xbox. You would think they would try to surpass them before coming out with a new system instead of just trying to make money with quantity instead of quality.

the Wii U will also have an XBox style controller.

Don't forget that the original Xbox controller was basically a copy of the gamecube controller.

*Sigh* Why does this have to go from what should be a discussion about Assassin's Creed 3 on the Wii U to a battle between System Fanboys/girls >.> Look, (Pardon my french) but you shouldn't give a f*** about what system it's on, so long as it's good. Yeah, systems may be 'copying' each other, but that's called competition. That's what America is about! Matching up with your competitors to stand a chance in the consumer world! If you don't like what they are doing, then show it just by 'voting with your wallet.' You don't need to complain on the internet about it, just ignore it and stick with what you like. Seriously people, you can be mature about this >.>

As for the real reason this thread was posted, the game looks great! The graphics are excellent and match up with the previous games so far (Well, the big console ones at least, not Bloodlines xD). If this was the only system AC3 was on (I actually haven't been keeping up with the E3 events, so I really don't know, though it wouldn't make sense to me if it was only on the Wii U), I would buy this console, if only just for AC3 (Though I'm sure I'd play a lot of other games too :) ) It looks really good and I can't wait to get the chance to play it :)

Are you not paying any reguard to what I said before THERE NOT INNOVATING PAST THE CURRENT GEN CONSOLES nothing wrong with Nintendo though I love me some Pokemon every now and again

Lol, are you serious? Of course it's innovative! It has a controller with a screen, no current-gen systems have that!

Yes!!! You speak the truth!!!

Dude, that render distance, and the FPS, fix it nintendo.

I know graphics don't make a game, but holy shit I thought the Wii U was supposed to be able to handle modern games. I guess nintendo is still having trouble catching up.

Nintendo fanboys, what happened to the Wii U being twice as powerful as the PS3?

Edited by Fredfredbug4

Good game bad system

You do realize it also comes out for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC? That gives you four console choices. I assume at least one of them fits your standards? And yes, I'm being sarcastic.

It's not exactly Nintendo's fault, they themselves didn't make the game, Ubisoft did. But what did you expect? Ubisoft is used to making Assassin's Creed for PS3 and Xbox.

No its not there way different

Thats cuz no one wants that its a step backwards

1. Tons of people want it, including me.

2. How the heck is it a step backwards?! I guess going from the Gameboy having one screen to the DS having two screens was a step backwards too!

Certain aspects of it appeal to kids and "soccer moms, if you will." You're only hating on the system, because YOU don't like it. Instead, you should at least respect it for what it is and realize that there are plenty of people out there, besides "kids and soccer moms" that will enjoy it. I don't like the Wii, because the controls don't appeal to me. But, I won't say that it sucks or its a bad system. It sold very well and has appealed to many different people.

What is there to respect it for?

Well, that they're trying something new with the game-pad controller, being able to still play the game, despite someone else watching TV and basically combining the 3DS and Wii into one awesome system with some pretty cool graphics. Or you know, you could respect the fact that they put a whole bunch of time into making a system, in general.

Don't forget that the original Xbox controller was basically a copy of the gamecube controller.

True, but in the end, Nintendo's been in the business the longest. They're more experienced and they've had more time to figure out how the industry works.

Just because there trying something new doesn't mean its good (which its not) The graphics are alright but it should have been like that with the Wii and its not respectable when you waste all this money on time on a half assed system sorry but I do like the 3DS but your not winning me over on this one there still too far behind from the 360 and PS3 and before you ask No Live party chats the graphics aren't ahead of what the 360 and PS3 are and it doesn't make me want to buy it because of the new things they've tried

Why is it a half-assed system? It appears like they've put plenty of time into it, considering that you even admitted yourself that they tried something new(whether you think it's good or not, new things takes time and effort.) I wouldn't call this behind the 360 and PS3. It's pretty much on par, and we're seeing the graphics of a NEW system. New systems take time to get the full effect out of their graphics. Just like older games from the 360 and PS3, didn't have the kind of graphics we're seeing on the newer games for those same systems, today. I'll admit that the lineup of games doesn't interest me, thus far, but the system as a whole, which still has parts of it that have not been revealed yet, looks great and WILL and already has appealed to many gamers. That is also something to respect.

Not a hole hell of alot OH YEAH LETS MAKE OUR CONTROLLER A TABLET ITS THE HYPEST SHIT! Yep super good stuff

If power is all you need to run a game, shouldn't it be much easier to emulate modern games?

There's this thing called optimization... and honestly, you of all people, I expected to take that into account in your posts...

Gotta say though, considering the Wii U's alleged power, Nintendo isn't really doing much to show it off.

Not a hole hell of alot OH YEAH LETS MAKE OUR CONTROLLER A TABLET ITS THE HYPEST SHIT! Yep super good stuff

Just because you don't think it's a good idea doesn't make it bad. The controller is not a tablet because it has buttons. It just happens to have a screen as well. This can add a lot to the gaming experience.

And Microsoft is the one who is making actual tablets work with the 360.

Why are we still arguing about this I don't like it you won't change that and I know that's a fail for the 360

Look, you don't have to like it, no one has to like it. But that doesn't mean you just have to go on and b**** about the fact that you think it sucks. No one wants to hear it. So please, stop spamming this thread about it. If you really have to keep posting about it, then just go make a thread about why you think it isn't good, as opposed to going on and on about it here, a thread that has much more to do with Assassin's Creed 3 than the Wii U in general *Sigh*

That's what the demo has done to me.
