1) What do you think about the death penalty? Are you for it or against it?

I am against it, and I believe Texas is one of the few states that still has it. I believe its unconstitutional and is against the 8th Amendment.

 

2) Well this is touchy topic... What do you guys think about abortion? Do you think it's right? Or do you think it's wrong?

Now, I believe it's murder. It's a human being for God's sake. But there are people who get abortions because they got pregnant by rape. That I KIND OF understand, but I think it'd be just better to give the child away for adoption. Why kill him/her for something that wasn't their fault?

 

The reason I ask this is because I want to know what you guys have to say about this.

Please refrain from arguing and ect, trying to prove your point.

I just want to know what you thinkg.

@ 1st question: I had to do a debate on the death penalty for class. Yeah I'm on the fence on this. Have been for a long time. Theres too much to talk about and I could argue for hours.

It comes down to how bad the crime was, and if the person is willing to forgive them. ( Example would be if a guy murders his friend. The family who lost that child, should have the right to punish the murder as they please. BECAUSE it's there child that just died. I hate people who aren't related and stick there nose in things we're it shouldn't belong. )

 

@ 2nd question : Abortion. Again iffy. Similar to my response for Death penalty. The woman who has the baby. HAS THE RIGHT TO THE BABY, and can do what they please. I mean for god sake's shes gonna go through the pain and labor of bringing a baby in this world. Theres no " Oh but you'll kill it for no reason". Okay hello, shes the mother not you. Nobod-NOBODY has the right to tell the Mother what to do with her baby. She picks what she does.

Hmmm I see your point with both questions.

Yes sometimes I even feel like some people deserve to die for what they did. But then I think about how they must be feeling. I mean if they murdered someone, yes it's a horrible crime, but would anyone go as low as to kill another human being in revenge. I really dont get it.

 

I see that maybe the mother wouldn't want to have the kid and it's her body as well. And the unborn baby has no say because, well, it's unborn. So yes, the mother has choice over what she wants to do with the kid

I think it really depends on what the crime was. If it was robbing a bank and injuring a few people I don't think it deserves a death penalty. If it was a murder then I think it might be a viable choice depending on degree of the murder and how many were killed. I am not sure about it, but I think there is almost always another choice than to kill.

 

Question 2

 

This is a very... sensitive topic. What I am about to say is purely my opinion.

I don't see it as murder. When it is possible to get an abortion, the baby is little more than a bunch of cells, that will develop into a human. I think that it is up to the mother. In a situation of rape, I would hope the mother would not keep the baby. If nothing else, think of the child. How would they feel knowing that they exist because of a criminal act, and that their dad is a criminal? In teen pregnancy, I am really think that they should get an abortion or give it up for adoption, though I would prefer abortion. No teen should have to raise a child, they have their whole lives ahead of them, and if you give them up there is no chance they will have a good life. In this case, you must really think of yourself before the kid. In normal adult pregnancy, I just think that it is up the the parents to decide, mostly the mother, it is her body, and only she can decide what she does to it.

definitely 100% against it, nothing deserves death, no matter how bad the crime. the whole point of prizons is so they can be punished without being killed

well, generally i think it's wrong, and i agree that adoption should be the way to go. although, if the person is afraid about giving birth and really can't do it, i would understand for her to get an abortion.

1) 100% AGAINST IT. get it out of my face. they still have that? i thought that was like 85609432 years ago o-o D: yay new zealand for not having it. i don't think we've ever had it. 8D

 

2) pfffffft. i don't know. it's the mothers choice in my opinion. i would actually have to say abortion is good because i don't think adoption should be a option unless COMPLETELY nessesary. who would want to grow up as an orphan if nobody took them in? the mothers wouldn't want that. even if they couldn't/wouldn't keep them themselves. i don't think it's murder because they aren't really alive yet. they don't think like we do. don't shoot me pleaaase but that's just what i think. if the mother can't care for it (e.g they're still in school or w/e) then why bring it up and make life horrible for them? i wouldn't do that to my kids. if i had any, anyway.

Death Penalty: Of course I'm against it, first thing is that everyone deserves a 2nd chance at least, how will you know that he/she knows regrets for what he/she did if they don't have the right to leave, and a crime can't be paid with another. And if you really thinks well, sometimes death is better than spending years in prison don't you think?

 

Abortion: I'm against it, but it's not because you're killing a human being or something like the mother has the choice, the problem is mostly because I have my philosophy and we believe in some other things that don't come in hand explaining right now (mostly because some people would think that I'm talking about religion and would start discussing what's right or wrong, what really annoys me) and that is considered a crime by this philosophy that I follow for some causes one of them is because of the child be a living being, there are uncountable other reasons but it's still the same I said before. For me, I think if it's a teenager, there isn't such a problem in aborting because she doesn't deserve to lose her life because of something that wasn't her fault especially if her life is in danger.

1) Its horrible but if it fits the crime. I mean they're are sexual predators everywhere (at least were I live) and for death on them,Would be good if sickos tha tkilled children and did horrble things then its right. But still everyone(well almost everyone)_ desereves to DIE! but it is a horrible crime in itself. I say if someone did soemthign that should been givien the death pentally.

 

2) I'm agianest it! Everyone deserves life. Life is the most preriosu gift, of course this leads to depression,and horrible things. If You had to choose think of it like this. Kill an innocent child? or bring anothe rhuman being into this world,as horrible and hateful and crul this world and generation is,they're is always good in the world! ^^

1. Depends on the severity of the crime. If this guy was some merciless killer who shows no remorse for what he did then he deserves it. If the person is truly sorry then send him for life in prison. And those shots are just ridiculous, they take forever and are damn expensive just to put someone down. A bullet to the brain is cheap and humane as its over in a second.

 

2. Abortions are wrong regardless of the case. If you got knocked up and became pregnant that's your fault. Don't kill a baby just because your too lazy to take birth control pills or your boyfriend is too stupid to use a condom. Even if it was rape. The best solution would be to give it up for adoption.

I live in Texas and I'm pretty sure we don't have the chair. I'm pretty sure no one has the chair anymore seeing as they consider it INHUMANE. I don't see why they don't consider the death penalty inhumane

It's a rather difficult subject to discuss because the debates can go on for hours.

 

Same with abortion. If a girl gets say, raped and becomes pregnant if I was that girl, I honestly don't know if I could handle delivering the child of the man who threw this burden onto me. Sure, the girl could give the child up, but becoming pregnant and going through school makes students view the girl in almost the same way as if they were to get an abortion. But I think it's completely wrong for someone to get an abortion "just because." It's a really difficult subject as well to talk about.

Sometimes maybe the death penalty seems like it's deserved (if the crime is that extreme) though I believe everyone deserves to live.

 

I'm one of those Pro-Life people that agrees that the Pro-Choice people are right about somethings. So I'm the type who says "I'm against abortion to the max but I can't control what everyone else wants to do or how they think."
