Nexon's Irish mythology informed massively multiplayer online game Mabinogi has inspired some comparisons to Sword Art Online. So, appropriately, following all of Nexon's Magi crossovers, between August 15th and September 12, players will be able to get SAO based avatars, costumes, weapons and even working Alfheim Online works.

It's apparently started already. Is there any sort of news in-game? This looks amazing. There's a ton of recent SAO news, I've gotta get up another one here, too. The last one I'm going to put on the SAO thread since it's anime-related, but there are two things that aren't.

Alright. You should get one, there are a lot of awesome games on there.   Most of them you have to buy, but I've found a few good F2P games. My favorite's probably Team Fortress 2, which is weird because I hate the FPS genre, but I love TF2 and Half Life. ._. I'm VIIIAxel on there, since that's what I use for pretty much everything except KH13 now, obviously.

It's an MMORPG by Nexus. I'm not a fan of a lot of MMOs out there, but I'd be willing to give this one a shot if it means I can play as an SAO character. It's free on Steam if you want to try it out. It looks like this is on the Asian servers though... I hope it'll be on the English ones, too.

Ive tried to get on Steam, but it doesnt work for me for some reason. : Unless i could play it on my PS3 or something(i doubt i can, since i havent found Steam on PSN yet) i doubt ill ever be able to try it. Dude, I've played Ultimate Chimera Hunt. I own Garry's Mod. It's fun, but it sucks when everyone swarms the UC's spawn point and kill it instantly. Also, you have a Steam too? ._. Have you been able to get any other games on there? It could just be that your computer can't run it or something.

Well ive tried Steam on my computer, but it never works to let me play any games. So yeah.

Oh... That sucks. D: Have you tried uninstalling it and installing it again? That might fix it. You might want to test it with an easy to run game, like Super Crate Box. A calculator could run that game (Exaggerating, but yeah, that game's super easy to run.)

You could buy the orange box on the PS3 and play TF2, though it hasn't gotten most of the updates the PC version (which is free at this point) has gotten and it just sucks that you can't get steam working...Edit: as far as Mabinogi goes, I am pretty sure it doesn't require steam, it is just you can use steam to download it.Here is the NA version's official website.http://mabinogi.nexon.net/

Correct on both accounts. Though I know some people still enjoyed the console versions, just because they didn't have the PC version. Anyways,  the 360 version actually got some updates, while the PS3 version is still (to the best of my knowledge) close to the initial release of the game, content wise, with probably some bugs fixed.

Well yeah, I can understand that people who can't run the PC version would enjoy it. Although if the option's there, the PC version's the best choice. Also, seems like Valve had something against the PS3 when they made the Orange Box. I heard the PS3 version was super buggy...

Basically if memory serves me right Valve basically said "We would rather not spend anymore time programming for the PS3's architecture than we have to, EA you take care of the patches from now on!"And on the case of Mabinogi, I remember I tried it out a long time ago and wasn't really captivated by it, but I believe it has a quite an interesting class system. The class system let you switch classes every couple minutes or something. You also had a character level and a level for each class you learned. Of course that is if I am remembering properly.

And then they partnered with it after a while for Portal 2 and Steam... Valve can be really funny when it comes to those kinds of things.

 

I tried it once, it seemed really cool, but I can't get into MMOs that are filled with tutorials and stuff like that. That's one of the reasons why I don't really play MMOs, even though I really want to.

It's a bundle with Portal, TF2, and Half Life 2 with its two episodes all in one package. The only real issue with the console versions is that TF2 wouldn't be updated as often (or at all, in the case of the PS3 version), you don't get to customize your TF2 character, and the PS3 version is apparently really buggy. Still, all of those games are awesome. I'd probably give every one of them a perfect score honestly, I love Valve's games.

It was a game bundle released for the PS3, 360 and PC including Half life 2 episodes one and two, portal, and team fortress 2. Though as Black Star and I discussed in the thread it is vastly inferior to the PC version, and I don't know how many servers are still up for it.Edit: Ninja'd!
