I've only heard of it from images, and when I looked up the LN and read it, it didn't have it in the official story, so I'm pretty sure it's not cannon and not in the story.

Alright, good. I think there was some special volume or something that had some side stories, and 16.5 was one of them. I'll just get all of them but that one.

interesting, it seems that SAO gotten really popular that they decided to release the manga versions in English. But what about the Light Novels? did they get a chance to be released in English?

I hope they get the LN where I Iive,still yet to watch the anime though.

Yeah, Yen Press is publishing both of them. I'm glad it's both too, I read the first few chapters of the manga and couldn't stand it, it was just so... weird compared to the anime. >_< I'd rather read the LN, since that's the original format for the series. Of course, the anime might also be my favorite.

 

There have been a few other SAO related things popping up in the news recently, too. I'm hoping that this is a sign that they'll make a second season for the 3rd and 4th arcs of the LN.

As far as I know, they've only confirmed an English release. I'm not sure if Yen Press does Europe too, I don't really know all that much about most manga publishers. I'd recommend the anime though, it's an excellent adaptation.

I read the first few chapters of the manga. it was going good for only the first chapter, but it made a huge time skip that skips most of the events that occurred in the anime and LN. I can't wait for the light novels to come out though. I also can't wait for the next episode tomorrow.

The LN didn't have those either, until later on in a special volume from what I've heard. Also, I can't wait for tomorrow's episode either. I'm just as excited as I was watching the series through in Japanese. Heck, maybe even more excited since it's the dub, and I can watch it on a bigger screen.

well, the anime did the right thing imo, cause by having a huge timeskip in the series, it can leave readers confused. by adding backstory to the timeskip, it makes the anime/manga/LN more understable.

Agreed, the filler episodes were really good. Heck, episode 3 (The one with Sachi) is my favorite in the series probably.
