Hey there everyone, how's it going? You know, ever since my Internet got disconnected, I haven't been able to post chapters of my current story: "A Reason To Fight." and so I got to thinking that while I'm on my IPad, I could write poems. So here in this thread you shall see my poems. I'll update on this thread as often as I can. I hope you all enjoy the poems! So here's my first one! ^_^

 

Darkness, Forever Yearning

 

I am from the dark,

seeping through the mist,

forever wishing,

forever yearning for your kiss.

 

I am but a figment,

a shadow of a thing.

Here and there I wander,

with a lingering sting.

 

I can be your ally,

concealing you from sight,

I can be your nightmare,

and I can claim your life.

 

Forever I wander this world,

wondering about light's warming embrace,

and so I ask myself,

why for myself is there no place?

 

My existence is necessary,

for without darkness, there is no light

I fight a struggle that is legendary,

I am the darkness, and you are the light.

Waiting For The End

 

As I slowly see this world decaying,

and witness all the suffering and strife,

we find ourselves waiting,

expecting the end to arrive.

 

We fight for survival without no rest,

going through fire and water to face the test,

and proving to ourselves we can be the best,

even though the world we love is growing less.

 

Through fire we see our most difficult trials,

facing cruelty and malice so vile.

But we must prepare ourselves for all that is to come,

for the end is swift and waits for no one.

 

And so, we sit and wait,

counting the hours as the day gets late.

One and all wounds are bound to mend,

as we stand strong, waiting for the end.
